The sheets were nasty and it didn't look like it had been cleaned and they didn't want to refund the money for the room.

The microwave did not work. Toilet paper stuck in door eyelets Trash behind night stand Dark spots on bed sheets Food crumbs on table/phone Breakfast was jail equivalent food Shower curtain would not close completely Waste of money … don't come here. NO STARS … took pictures.

Great place to sleep. Conveniently located on the city. Easy access to interstate.

Great place to stay for the price, we typically always stay here during the weekends we are down for some baseball. Good location for food, shopping and a short drive to the Baseball complex.

Had a good stay but we was supposed to get king size beds we didn't and the breakfast could of been better.

The saying is true that you get what you pay for here. The rooms look nothing like the pics. My room was doable but not that great. Bed was killer hard! The bathtub and sink were both clogged up and wouldn’t drain at all. I told management (owner) and she acted like it was no big deal. Girls at the front desk were friendly. My co-worker has to change room 3 times… dirty sheets then a/c didn’t work… my advice is find someplace nicer to put your head down… also the hotel had a weird smell and I also smelt moth balls at times. Good luck!

This is our 3rd time staying at this location. Staff is friendly and there for whatever you needed. The breakfast was great a little more than you expect for continental, with biscuits and gravy, folded eggs, waffles and sausage. Also I love that it is a pet friendly hotel.

Howard Johnson Jackson was on the list of hotels provided by Union University to utilize when visiting the college. The hotel was dirty and smelled. We found two bed-bugs in our bathroom sink. Our room had no closet to hang clothes, or an iron. The breakfast was awful, and both garbage cans in the eating area were overflowing (and this was shortly after breakfast started, so they hadn't been emptied that day). It is true — you get what you pay for.

Gross place. There was a cockroach on the bed when we walked in. We switched rooms and the second room was dirty… I checked all around the mattress and found trash and food crumbs shoved between the mattress and the wall. I was relieved to leave and would not recommend at all.

The location was good and the free breakfast was good. The freezer would not freeze our ice packs but chilled our drinks. Overall for the price it was good.

Room, appeared clean and neat. But it likes like some stains maybe blood? Was on the door and curtains… Just okay. Would stay again In another room under the circumstances. Stances that there were no vacancies at any other hotels in Jackson. Wow!

Great place! My husband said the front desk was magic, he called down twice for things we forgot at home the lady said it would be at the front desk, when he got there sure enough there it was, he said all you do is call and it appears!

Room always clean. Lobby service was good. If the free bteakfast was better it would be 5 stars.

This is a great sub 100$ place to stay. Near by the highway and plenty of food options near by. However I do wish they could do some renovations with their internet service. Very blotchy signal in some rooms.

Good value. The staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice; clean and well stocked. My only complaint is that bacon was not a breakfast option.

Toilet was very old and did not work. Faucet on sink leaked water everywhere. Nasty headboard had mold and looked like something leftover from a 70s porn hotel (dont forget your blacklight nasty). Mattresses old and nasty. While it looks nice from the outside and the carpet looks new, nothing else is and if I hadnt drove so late and been about to drop Id have gotten a refund and kept going! Priced as high as a holiday inn, I suggest going there instead!

This is not a great place to stay. The building smells funny. The walls in my room were dirty with spills. There was what appeared to be dried mouthwash on the wall above my sink. The heater did not work properly. I had to get up and down during the night to manually operate it. When I opened the shower curtain in the morning, there were spiders in the shower. The room does have a refrigerator and microwave, and there is free breakfast, even if it is pretty bad. I've stayed in a few places worse than this.

Disgusting. Nowhere near worth the price. The heater was sparking all night, and I didn’t trust the food at breakfast. Didn’t even have fresh coffee. There were badly patched holes all over the walls, and the bathroom door was falling apart. Horrible. Will not visit a Howard Johnson again.

Comfortable rooms and amazing staff, have taken wonderful care of me.

Everything was great except some of my lightbulbs were out and there was a large glob of toothpaste on the counter when I first entered the room.

Super nice and approachable staff! Rooms not bad at all for the price and pretty comfy. Only thing is that the TV could have been a little better quality. Other than that great place and bang for your buck and centralized to basically every where in Jackson.

Checking was easy and painless and the stay met our expectations. The breakfast was a little bit on the disappointing side but overall I would stay there again.

Room was clean, smelled fresh, and bed was ok. Good room for the money. Would stay again during travel.

We paid about $180 for one night in a suite, but when we got to the room it was tiny with two beds and no pull out sofa bed. The bathroom is the smallest I have seen in a hotel room. This was highly inconvenient as there were 3 adults and 2 children staying in the room. I booked through Expedia and included specifics about how many people were going to be staying. If I had known how small the room was going to be, and that it was not a suite, I would have booked a nicer and less expensive hotel. The front desk was nice, and refunded me $40 when I complained. There were screws in the parking lot, and it really seems like a cheaper motel at a nicer hotel price.

It was fine at first. I'm just not a very picky guy. Me and my girl had eaten and come back to get cozy and then… a knock at the door… it was the night mgr yelling in my face at the top of her lungs. The people next to us "smelled smoke" and told her "she was gonna get sick! ". As stupid as it is to claim you'll get sick from smelling smoke… we do not smoke. Despite this I was getting screamed at in my doorway by a "manager" who couldn't hear me saying anything because she was screaming at me like she was my mom! I've never heard of any mgr screaming at a customer then not listening to reason before. For 10 minutes she yelled at me while I stood there and smiled at her. I send about 300 people every year to her hotel but I don't want my customers getting yelled at so I'm gonna send them somewhere else… and that "Mrs night manager" was why I was smiling at you! ;)

Decent staff, outside pool, complementary breakfast. Clean rooms.

Extremely rude attendant, spoke very condescendingly to us when informing us we wouldn't find a room anywhere — he already knew — "sorry, bud". Seriously, it's the middle of the week and you have no rooms? I'll give you that maybe you didn't have rooms — but everyone around you did. Most were simply out of our price range. Pretty sure he simply didn't want to put up with an expediter van in his pretty parking lot. Save yourself the headache and head over to the Red Roof Inn, who happily put us up for the night.

This has been the worst place I have stayed EVER 1. It's not well kept 2. House keeping are terrible at cleaning let alone staying out if your room. 3. They have NO supplies (Ask for extra blanket, pillow, wash cloth, towels or sheets they do not have any! ) 4. Showers are disgusting Carpets need to be ripped out and new ones put in. 5. Beds are uncomfortable the cushion they attempt to put on the bed to make it better is literally ALL TORN APART Let me tell you This place is the worst! We reserved a 5 day stay (not our first choice but, the only one who had all five days avaliable) We come in late put the "do not disturb" on the door we watched cartoons with the kids and left about 11 Came back, room wasn't cleaned but, the TV is on and I woulda thought I did it but, it was on the NFL station :-/ Next day, we take the do not disturb off the door so they can clean and change the towels out… come back that night, the blanket is balled up on the floor the bed is semi made. No towels and wash clothes in the room. Ask for blankets they have ONE (MIND YOU THE NIGHT DESK LADIES ARE SWEETHEARTS) Next day, there's a different house keeper, we ask for new bedding. She has to take ours and wash it because they do not have any others (no joke) so, we leave and come back that night. Our key card wasn't working. Hmm could it be that the door was left partially opened! Nope, now the key thing on the door doesn't work AND their staff left the door opened.

The place is nasty. The place was taken over by a new group. I have stayed here 4 times before. The rooms were business friendly. Clean, nice roons. They removed all of the what made this a reasonable hotel. Second hand everything. Lampshades, dirty. Showet curtians mold from top to bottom. Bugs in the hall. I could go on. Going to let the hone office know.

Best hotel in Jackson for the price. The staff is so friendly and the place is so clean and well kept. If I stay in Jackson this is my go to place.

Was decent, beds aren't great and breakfast wasn't bad, the cleanliness was mediocre.

Rooms were very clean. Service was awesome. If I could give a 10 star to a hotel it would be this one. Job well done.

Nice place, clean as well… would've given 5 stars, but the bed in the room was broken… and the work out room was unavailable.

Fine place to sleep for the night. Seemed cleanish, some equipment old or in disrepair. Room next to us was extremely loud.

Waited for an hour. Dialed 0 and nobody showed up. Front desk was abandoned for over an hour. Couldn't even check in…

I was only here for a night. However, I really enjoyed the hotel. The location is in the middle of all the stores and restaurants. The breakfast was great its not often that you get more than a continental breakfast but the sausage, eggs, and biscuits and gravy were all delicious. The only two complaints I have are there weren't enough towels in the room and there was a little chipped paint above the room door.
