I loved everything about our stay at the Outrigger Hotel. Especially since the beach is right out the back of the hotel and restaurants literally across the street from the hotel and a restaurant at the resort. Friendly staff. The only thing I would change is your pricing. We asked about a later check out and was told that it would be $150 per hour for each hour after check out.

Best most beautiful hotel ever recently renovated. Friendly happy staff and amazing food.

Honestly, Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort was amazing. The staff went above and beyond to take care of us. They went above and beyond to make my daughters and her boyfriends experience special, and continued to take care of them even after we left. The staff, the service, the food, the location, the views, the drinks, everything was perfect! I would recommend Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort to families and couples alike, great atmosphere and overall experience. Excellent stay! The front desk staff and bell desk were extremely kind and helpful. The restaurant and bar were exceptional. Nice, clean hotel. The pool was fabulous. The beach views were amazing. Everyone was so pleasant. Definitely enjoyed my weekend stay.

I had a wonderful time. Breakfast was included. Had a beautiful view of the ocean. Could walk right on to the beach 2 ways. Was able to pack for 2-3 days and use laundry facilities on site. Staff were very helpful with recommendations for my graduates celebration.

We had our wedding here… the package weddings make you feel special. They cater to ever wedding. Faith and adore are amazing hair and makeup professionals. The hotel is in prime location to the beach n shopping.

I and my dad had a wonderful time. The view of the beach is beautiful. The water is great. The food was always wonderful and there are definitely things to do! I recommend Kamoauli! It is a trip aboard a 46’ traditional voyaging canoe. While there, you are able to learn more about the history and culture of Hawaii while eating Hawaiian foods during the trip.

Although we were only there for a night, the Outrigger checked all the boxes. Amazing location right on Waikiki Beach. Lots of great shops and restaurants.

Not impressed. Definitely regret leaving our previous resort for this one. The rooms are severely outdated. The entire resort smells of weed. We are paying $500 a night each for two rooms and $40 a night to park onsite yet we have to park 3 blocks away?! Wont be back. Wont recommend.

We are Kamaaina. All our friends were staying there. They all said it was beautiful, right on the beach, and the hotel staff was amazing. ALL our friends were right. We had a lovely stay. The rooms were exquisite. The view breathtaking. I loved how the staff really cared about our safety during this Covid pandemic. We loved how the hotel has a great location. Right in the heart of Waikiki. Walking distance to the Royal Hawaiian Shopping center and International Market Place. We will definitely stay there again. Thank you Outrigger for making Kamaaina welcome.

Beautiful setting, amazing customer service, right on the beach!

Not much to say right now except we had to comply with Stay-At-Home orders during reinstated Covid proclamation. Hubby had a medical surgery during our stay. We weren’t told that Outrigger East was closedown. It was a good thing that Waikiki Main honored our reservation.

Very relaxing place; it’s right by the Waikiki Beach. Good food at the hotel’s Duke’s restaurant which is also by the beach.

Hotel rooms were nice. We had an adjoining room with our daughter and her family. The thing I didn’t like about the hotel was it’s elevators. First, you scan your room key and put which floor you want. The panel tells you which elevator you will take. Then you wait anywhere from 15-45 minutes for the elevator to come. There’s a sign that says that because of the caronavirus, only 2 people should ride an elevator at a time. After waiting so long for the elevators, everyone tries to get on when it comes so there are at least 10 people or however many will fit taking the elevator. The stairs are locked so we can’t walk up to our rooms. It would be a lot faster if we could take the stairs. For that reason, I wouldn’t stay at that hotel again. We got Kamaaina discount but that still doesn’t make up for the inconvenience of waiting for the elevators.

My girlfriend and I had a staycation day/night and we were so pleased! Strange details that I appreciated: the shower pressure was SO nice, and the pillows were SO comfortable (and I’m very picky about pillows). 10/10 would recommend!

Beautiful place. The beds are not as big as they describe. That is, a queen bed is like a twin and a king is like a queen. Not sure if the measurements are different in Hawaii. Service is good and the view of the beach is awesome!

Our favorite hotel to stay whenever in Hawaii. Central to everything in Waikiki and the service is exceptional. Could not say enough positive things about this hotel with all its amenities including one of the best restaurants and bars on the islands — Duke's. The people are amazing, friendly and helpful and really do treat you likely family.

Good sized room, a little dated but comfortable furnishings. We had a partial sea view and were able to sit on the balcony with our morning coffees, but only just. The bathroom was on the small size, and the fiberglass bath creaked when you stood in it to shower. Can we suggest walk in showers please? The bath is too small to sit in for a normal sized adult.
Keith Christy on check in was very helpful and explained everything and sorted out our redemption reward which was a cheese and wine platter — very enjoyable, with plenty of cheese and fruit.
This was just a one night stay for us so didn’t have time to sample the F&B outlets.

Exactly what we were looking for. Excellently located right in the city and right on beautiful beach. Last time we stayed at Outrigger on the Reef and found ourselves always walking down to this beach anyway because of how much nicer it is. This time we came straight here and added the advantage of a nice pool deck just steps from the ocean. The rooms are comfortable, and even our limited ocean view has a lovely balcony with a nice view. Bonus points to housekeeping for keeping up with the sand and dirt that inevitably gets in after beach and waterfall treks. And the biggest boon this place gets is it's partnership with Duke's restaurant, which we love.

Rooms clean, good views. Housekeeping staff excellent. Young concierge very unhelpful. Had to do everything myself. Waitress in buffet breakfast extremely rude. Other staff very helpful. However, the attitude of 2 staff members have determined this rating, as a previous holiday last year to Hawaii was so much better with no problems in a neighboring resort!

Great location — right on Waikiki beach. A small grocery store (ABC) is just across the road. A good coffee shop is located right next door. The service is top notch and genuine. (Helpful, quick to respond and friendly, ) We are loving our stay.

Fantastic location in the heart of Waikiki with the famous Duke' s restaurant right in the lower lobby. Beachfront location. We had a room overlooking the city with slight beach view which was really noisy from the loud vents from local restaurants but amazing city views. Rooms need updating. Resort fee is a rip off. However, the staff are amazing. So welcoming and helpful. I would definitely stay again and recommend it if you want central location and be surrounded by lots of people. It is busy there.

There is a wonderful employee by the name of John Thompson that greets you as you are entering and exiting your car. John is a wealth of information and a great person. He made our mornings when we were leaving and always asked where we had been and I loved sharing our daily stories with him. Such a value to the Outrigger. Forever in our memories John you will be! Beautiful location. The customer service was excellent our representative was really detailed and went over all the amenities. The rooms are clean and bed were comfy. The only flaw I could critic is just the resort and valet parking fees. The resort fee was $ 30 a day (that's a given) and there is only valet parking available at $ 35 a day. So in total $ 400 in fees that were unexpected. But overall, our experience was great and the location was spectacular and workers here are so helpful, kind, and always happy.

We ate appetizers at dukes prior to eating dinner at hula grill. Dukes was nice though the menu was a touch pricey. Hula grill had amazing balcony seats overlooking the ocean/beach. The food was also pricey but had some nice options for the budget conscious. Overall a good experience!

This hotel is right at the beach. You can walk right out from hotel. It's also conveniently located close to all shopping and restaurants. Very nice. The service here is excellent. All the staff are very friendly. Would come back again.

We upgraded to ocean front room and it was definitely worth the price difference. Rooms are spectacular. Easy way to get to first floor without waiting as well. Well cleaned and staff very friendly and courteous. Totally exceeded my expectations. I would stay here again in the future.

My wife and I travel to the islands several times a year. We normally stay at the Sheraton Waikiki, which we love. This time we chose the Outrigger Waikiki and were very disappointed. The hotel itself is very nice, but if you want to relax in their bar with a drink, forget it. Between the LOUD music playing and people shouting aboue the LOUD music, you can’t carry on any conversation without screaming at one another. We had our 23yr old daughter with us who also found the atmosphere very annoying! NEVER again would I pay a penny to stay here. My hearing has been affected for life. Catch a clue management! Hawaii is supposed to be pleasurable, not a LOUD venue!

Awesome place to stay. Great view if u get a beach view room. Service is great. Booked most of our tours from reception and Nessa our concierge was very helpful and knowledgeable of the best places to visit.

This hotel is in a great location, right on the beach. We have stayed here before and had an excellent experience. However, on our recent trip, we paid for a beach-front room and we were given a room on the first floor. DO NOT accept these rooms. They are too noisy at night with the nightly bands in the restaurant below, and at around 2am-3am staff are working below these rooms and the noise woke us up every night. They really need to remedy this issue as it completely ruined our stay. We were compensated, but in the end I wish we had changed rooms to a higher level, as we were woken every night for the whole week. So for our previous trip, we would give this hotel five stars, but with this last experience, we will have to give it three stars. Considering the thousands of dollars we paid for our stay, we were very disappointed with our stay.

Simply the best bar none. Stayed there last year (2017) with my Wife, and it was simply perfect. In fact just recently booked again for ten years in 2018. The staff is friendly and helpful, the room included extra Pillows, extra Towells etc. We had everything we wanted. Dukes is fantastic, as are the other restaurants. Perfect position directly on the beach, central etc. Etc. … Love it.

Excellent service, staff were fantastic. We splurged and booked an ocean view room, it delivered views were awesome. Two things that disappointed us. Our expensive room was above Dukes bar, made it a little difficult to get to sleep. Very noisy. Maybe double glaze the glass doors on the ocean view rooms? The other thing was the lack of deck chairs. You had to be up early to grab a spot or resort to paying for them which was upwards of $40 US.

Great service, nice clean rooms with a gorgeous view. We loved eating at Duke's and Hula Grill. Kimo's Hula Pie is a must-eat dessert! The beach is lovely — not too wide, not too narrow. Chairs and umbrellas are available for rent. We loved it here — and will definitely be back!

Ate at Duke's here, didn't stay, but the restaurant itself has great atmosphere. The fine dining seats and the outdoor seats have a perfect view of the beach, which you can walk right out to from there, and we watched a pretty sunset from our table while listening to some live performances. The food is also great, and the non-alcoholic tropical smoothies are delicious for everyone.

Don't miss: a made to order omelette and banana pancakes. Skip: fried rice (super bland) and french toast (it was dry and don't waste your precious tummy real estate on not-banana pancakes). Service was great and our table looked out at couple of resort pools, and Waikiki beach beyond. There was a slight smell of chlorine where we were sitting, but not too bad. Overall, an enjoyable experience!

Absolutely outstanding experience for the price. We had a fantastic time. The rooms are huge, clean, safe environment, staff goes way above and beyond to be conscientious of your needs while you stay. Dukes is in the hotel with great food and service. Check the history with Duke. Our floor maids were extremely pleasant, helpful and professional. They even left us a personal thank you note. I was very concerned booking three rooms for a our family for the week and it could not have been any better.

Great location. Slightly dated decor — bed was comfortable and climate control worked very well. 5 star prices for 4 star hotel. Bar and food venues only just ok. We enjoyed our stay because of location and we had the ocean front balcony room, that was lavish.

Great location right in the middle of all the action in Waikiki Beach. Tons of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Duke's and Chuck's Steakhouse are on the lower level and both offer great dining experiences. The hotel itself is older but the staff is very helpful and the rooms are clean and well maintained. Great hotel for families and couples looking to have lots of activities nearby … Not for someone looking for quiet.

Stayed for a week (3 weeks ago). The staff and all were very hospitable and caring. Dukes restaurant inside offers fantastic food at a great convenience. This was a dream holiday here! The ONLY thing that was not PERFECT was the screen in the "A" elevator was blacked out with code the whole time so no way to see the floor numbers as you go up or down (boohoo not)

Very nice hotel in the heart of Waikiki. Super easy access from pool area to beach. Lovely sunsets from the beach area with nothing blocking you. Hotel itself is nice and the staff is super accommodating. We were unhappy with our room and they made it right by moving us and giving us free breakfast vouchers. Would stay here again for sure.

This hotel is staffed by the friendliest people. Everyone is so helpful and polite. We stayed for our honeymoon and we came back to the room our first night to a bottle of champagne from the hotel and the next day our names were mentioned in their newsletter. They really do treat you like family! We loved the poolside bar service provided by Duke's. The restaurants are delicious and the breakfast buffet at Duke's was our favorite way to start the day! The hotel has it's own shuttle for a few local hotspots, and the location is central to all the exciting the spots in Waikiki,

Great spot central to everything in Waikiki. They have their own trolley or the other trolleys stop right outside ($2 trip each way to basically anything in Waikiki) Rooms are a bit dated but you don't stay here to be in your room. Two restaurants downstairs with yummy food and drinks. Can be very busy but there's just so many places to go so close it's not an issue. The concierge downstairs are SO HELPFUL we booked so many activities with them and they even do Big Island activities which was great because we went straight from Waikiki to the big island.

This is our favorite place to stay in Waikiki. A toes in the sand beach front property with terrific views — whether beach front, Diamond Head, or city views. The rooms are spacious and elegant. The staff is very attentive without being intrusive. Beach gear is available for rental. The pool area is beautiful and almost makes you want to skip the beach, almost. This resort always exceeds expectations.

Always a pleasure to dine a Duke's in the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort. The hotel is great with it's ideal beachfront location and friendly staff the experience does not get old. Can't wait to staycation again.

So we arrived at our hotel took us an hour took get to the hotel because of traffic and 3 stops but when we got to our hotel it must have took us nearly 10 minutes to find the reception desk! So when we did find it eventually we were greeted by a man with the most delicious orange juice I've ever tasted! And a refreshing towel too! So when we got to our hotel room I thought wow! It was there biggest hotel room I've ever had! slightly bigger than the one in Dubai but it was huge! We had a nice shower, a whole area dedicated to our toiletries! Mirror, toiletries and a medium space to move about in, loads of space for clothes and 4 suitcases 2 very comfy beds and a large area dedicated to a large sofa, table, a TV, 2 chairs and a desk! Wow! But then I went out to the balcony and I was disappointed we had an amazing view of the pool which was so noisy! Especially at night with Hawaiian music which I thurelly enjoyed watching from my balcony at night, a partial view of trump tower and a partial view of the ocean wasn't too happy : (but anyways we went to the outside restaurant which was expensive but the cheapest one there and we had lunch, I said to the lady waitress can I have some water please? I was the last one to order my drink and she looked at me as if she'd seen a ghost then just walked away and randomly said " cow "I literaly said wtf and 5 mins later she comes back with milk! I was like are you Chinese or something?

Great hospitality and service. The room was amazing overseeing the beach. It was also great with much entertainment.

This is located on the beach side of the Kalakaua blvd. You can walk out of the front of the resort straight onto the beach. Dukes restaurant, Chuck's Steakhouse and Hula Grill are all located inside. This is also the home to the new venue Blue Note.

When's the Remodel? It's been a long-time coming Outrigger! Old-skool on-the-beach surf hotel, been here for ages. Wake up and surf, but it will cost ya. The beach showers work splendidly after a nice, long waikiki surf session! Happy Paddling.

It's like really, really, really, really, really nice. First time in Hawaii, glad we splurged a bit on a nice hotel. Customer service is first class. Rooms are excellent, will definitely consider booking in here again even though it is costly.

Failed to tell us that we wouldn't be able to get to the room or hotel sunday night … so we waisted time and gas with no where to go. Say the Wi-Fi is free but hide it in a " resort fee ". OF 30.00 a day … I dont pay that much at home for a month! the only good part … the valet's were awesome! they could teach the rest of the staff (customer care)

Just stayed here for 8 nights. What a great place to stay. Right on the beach with great view. The staff are all 100% nice! Very accomadating. Totally there to serve the customer! Will stay here again for sure!

I am a forensic investigator for the city of Las Vegas so needless to say I have seen some vile scenes which would make the strongest stomach churn. The bed room at this hotel was worse than anything I have ever seen in my years of work. To call this a "fleabag" hotel would be an unconscionable insult to both fleas and bags everywhere, and in my 25 years of business travel, I have never experienced such a consistently, depressingly mediocre property. When I used my black light on the room it was more saturated in human specimen than couch in the red light district. STAY FAR AWAY from this place if you don't want to end up with a venereal disease.

I was so excited to finally get to go to Hawaii… saved for 5 years… my dream began to unravel and soon became a nightmare the first 5 minutes at this hotel from hell! Are you kidding me? I should have burned the money rather than spend it here. The service is one step below prison! There is no welcome feeling here at all… they treat you as if they are doing you a favor and that you seem to be interrupting their day, by asking for anything. I am really pissed off!

I check in yesterday with 4 guests. The receptionist Frank said he would have to charge for an additional person even though my original reservation was for four. I accepted it because its vacation and did not have time to argue. We went back into the room and had a glass of champaign. About an hour later a manager comes up his name was Sean. He said that he noticed from the pool that we had 4 people in our room and only checked in 3. We were on the 17th floor there was no way 1, 200 feet away he could see 4 people and even going into details that someone way laying in bed which means they have cameras in the room which is illegal. I told him we check all 4 people in and too check with Frank at the front. He then became verbally abusive. This is where I told him to get out of my room and stop eating my time. He said now he was going to charge an additional $150 per night due to one extra person. I told him no because we had settle it at $75 with Frank when we checked in. He would not leave the room so I had to push him out and eve when I did he pushed the door open. I had to use the security latch to stop him. Do not go to this hotel. Worst service, most unprofessional manager and dangerous to say the least. Stay away!

This resort is the worst resort of all time. I checked in with 4 people and first day I had a bottle of champaign that I opened up and we celebrated a anniversary. The manager Sean came up and harassed us about having 6 people in the room around 6 PM. He stated that the room was only for 2 guests when I had all 4 guests sign the waiver when we arrived. He then proceeds to state that it would cost an additional $150 per night for the additional two guest. We had Indicated that Frank the person who checked us in said that it would be only $75 per the two additional guests that I had brought even thought initially we could have up to 4 guests in the first place. The manager Sean was very rude and told us they have hidden cameras all over the hotel and saw everything we did in the room. This hotel is the worst of all time and this is coming from a very successful businessman. Sean the manager and Frank are the two worst employees that anyone could hire. I will have my attorneys reach out to their council in the morning. Many personal rights have been violated. Stay away at all costs. My Best, Peter Ribeiro.

I loved this hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious, the beds comfortable. The partial open view was very pretty. We were able to get lounges without a problem. We ate at both the Hula Grill and Duke's restaurants and were more then happy. During our stay we dealt with a medical emergency and your staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs. And I just called because my son forgot a bathing suit and to my surprise it was there and will be mailed to me. Thanks and Aloha.

Had reservations and the agent (Jody) at the desk looked it up incorrectly — — said there was no reservation, was rude, and made no effort to rectify it. Had to wait for the travel agent to intervene — — the reservation was there the entire time. No apology no comp. No one answered the main phone #. All of this after a 5 hour flight from SFO. Spend all that money and feel like you don't matter.

Awesome the best place ever to stay beach front view.

The Outrigger is on the beach wedged between to very historic fancy hotels the Moana and the Royal Hawaiian. It has two of the best restaurants Dukes and The Hula Grill. It is about half price of these other two hotels but it was my experience the rooms and service is just a good and you can go check out the other two hotels anyway. The Moana has a nice museum area. My advice to the other two hotels is if you charge more you should give better service.

Excellent service, friendly staff, and an intimate restaurant and bar. Good times, you won't be disappointed.

Oh hawaii how I miss so much! good hotel with a great view of the beach.

This hotel was ideal for a relaxing stopover to mainland USA. Being right on the beach in the middle of everything it was just a perfect location. I couldn't fault the hotel either as the rooms were very comfortable and everything one would expect in a good hotel. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend requesting a room on the West side of the hotel if booking a partial ocean view room as it is quieter and not directly looking into the hotel next door. We stayed in both locations and this was definitely quieter and nice to look out on the city lights at night while the balcony overlooked the beach. Dukes restaurant also had a wonderful breakfast at a very reasonable price so I would recommend that as well. We will definitely be back.

Me and my partner stayed at Waikiki on the Beach for four lovely days! We booked the room 1227, oceanfront, which has got simply the breathtaking view I have ever seen. The staff were lovely, and the restaurant is the best all over the island. There are so many things to do and to visit we could not use all the services. Amazing drinks at Hula's restaurant and Duke's bar, and the front desk services always with a smile in their faces to make our trip the best experience ever. Love, loved and loved! We have stayed at the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach on three occasions now and each time has been better than the time before. We would whole heartedly recommend this Hotel to any one. Your welcome is warm and friendly, the staff go out of their way to make your stay a happy one. Nothing is too much trouble for any of them. The food is great, wait service is amazing. We will definitely be going back again in 2015 and this time we will be taking our family with us. Thank you to all the staff at the Outrigger for making this last stay wonderful.
