Reviews of Sheraton Princess Kaiulani 3*
Great hotel. Right in front of Waikiki! Recommend it great people!
Perfect central location. Great staff.
We just got back from our 2nd stay at Sheraton Princess. It's a great hotel, friendly staff, central location, and the Splash Bar do awesome cocktails. They also have free portable Wi-Fi available. Highly recommended and we will stay here again next trip!
Awesome, excellent, great.
Staff at t h e front desk th I s afternoon weren't helpful at all, they just upset me.
Great Venue Staff Excellent Rooms Great Views Exemplary.
Everything is fantastic, central to everything and nice atmosphere.
Friendly staff, nice room, close to the beach.
Air conditioning in the room is poor. We are staying in a newly renovated room and it's already dated and tiny! Staying here is expensive and with the Sheraton brand you would expect something other than ordinary. Our room wasn't cleaned yesterday so they offered us buffet breakfast. Now we are eating with diseased carrying pigeons walking around. The smoked salmon is not on ice and there are fruit flies flying everywhere. It's so disgusting. I asked for warm milk for my baby's cereal and they came back saying they have ran out of whole milk! I'm sorry what?
The highchair that we rrquested came with birdshit all over it. 4th time in Hawaii, will never stay here again. It's disappointing that we have to stay here for another 7 days.
Structure with excellent quality/price ratio. Splash bar poolside were spectacular. Beach service is very welcome. Breakfast of "champions"
This is a nicely situated Hotel, just across the street from Waikiki Beach so you get a little bit of a price break on the hotel room without being unduly far from the beach. All that said, this hotel is definitely getting a little bit dated, or at least it was when I was there last a little over a year ago. It could definitely use some modernization.
One of the best hotel at Waikiki, friendly, good location access to beach, quite swimming pool.
4 stars because I really couldn’t complain. Being used to staying at cheap motels this was really and upgrade. Had all the amenities included, toiletries, Wi-Fi, etc. Little balconies on the room. Cleans and comfortable room. Sure, the pool is small, but the beach is literally across the street. Waikiki is so so, lots of people and a small beach area. But a place to go if you like shopping. Concierge at hotel is super helpful.
Great family oriented hotel! I was here for work for 2 weeks and my 21 year old daughter came to stay a few days. It's a great location, close to the beach, lots of shopping and different restaurants. The staff at check-in, restuarant, bar and room service were extremely friendly and so nice! Food at the buffet is great and drinks at the bar wonderful (especially the specials! )! Went to the Sunday night event and it was so good! All the performers seemed to be having such a good time! We loved it! I highly recommend this hotel for work or vacation!
This is a nice hotel in a good location. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They have most amenities anyone could want. I haven't eaten at the breakfast buffet or the dinner buffet because it is too expensive for what you get. There are plenty of other places to eat for a lot less money with much better prices. The only real complaint that I have is that everyone hotel I've stayed at in Waikiki had valet parking for the same price or cheaper while I have to spend 20 minutes driving in circles looking for a parking spot.
The rooms are slightly outdated, but nice. You shouldn't be spending too much time in the room anyway, so the comfy bed is what really counts. There is NO free airport shuttle. Be prepared for that. Parking is $35 a day. The pool closes at 1900, but hello, the beach is across the street. The restaurant is not bad, but there are a ton of better options all over. It's kinda in the middle of things, which can be good or bad, depending on what you want out of your vacation. Overall, the hotel is nice, the beds are comfy, and the service has been good.
We lost one day of our two day stay. As our plane had mechanical issues and it took us 26 1/2 hours to get to waikiki. Our room was nice & clean. It had the extra roll away bed all ready for us (as requested) and we Loved sitting on the lanai with our (partial) ocean view. It was beautiful! (23rd floor). (The ropes & cables you see in the photo is (we think). The scaffolding plank that the workers are using for building maintenance or for painting the building) Thank you very much we enjoyed our stay with you. :)
It’s a pretty nice hotel. I didn’t stay here, but we went for a meeting. Nicely maintained, and the staff seemed very friendly. There was a buffet being set up that looked delicious! Lots of old stuff around that area and the beach isn’t far.
Clean. Needs a bit of tender loving care. Really helpful and friendly staff. Got hit with $28US a day charge we didn't know about. Make sure you read the fine print or get your agent to explain all charges. This hotel is in a great location. Close to everything.
Stayed here for a few nights. If you are getting married you get a free bottle of champagne! The reason why I gave this place 3 stars was because the hotel served as more of a place to stay while we went out and explored the majority of the day. It served its purpose. The rooms were adequate, but nothing over the top fancy. A fridge, safe and bed is all we needed while we were on the island. If you are planning on spending most of the day outside or doing excursions I recommend this place for having a place to stay the night. If you are in Hawaii go experience Hawaii and do every excursion/ ounce of exploration you can instead of staying on the premises of a hotel.
We stopped here for a few days before our cruise. The place is awesome. The pool has been fun to play in. The staff are excellent. They provide fresh fruit at the pool, which was pretty refreshing. The location is great for easy beach access.
Best customer service I have ever had! The staff is so nice and accommodating. Christina went above when helping me book my room. She also had a slice of cake delivered to our room for my birthday. Definitely will be back here. Close to everything. And again staffing was so nice Edward the mechanic came and fixed our ac in ten mins he was also super nice and accommodating. We had a great experience. Aloha!
Stayed in the big tower and had an awesome view of the ocean. Rooms were a bit dated but not bad. Had a bigger than excellent lanai. Super super close to the beach and the new international market place.
Price and performance fits, hotel is somewhat in the years but is expressed about the price and can be accepted.
Excellent hotel in the heart of the city.
This review is a little skewed because we were at an all expense paid conference. Just based on our experience and not on price, I give it four stars. We didn't swim in the pool because it was rainy most of free time we had. It's in an interesting location at the front of the hotel, but looked nice. The location of the hotel itself is pretty ideal. Same block as the International Marketplace and right across the street from the ocean. We ate breakfast and lunch at the buffet. It was good, not great. The conference rooms were nice and functional. The hotel room was also nice and comfortable. Bathrooms were a little cramped even for just me and my wife. Overall, a nice hotel with the scattered evidence of the old building behind the renovations. Again, we can't speak for the price, but location and accommodations were above average.
If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels go to HotelRaven. Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… Great location. About a block away from the beach. Great for kids since they have the Disney Jr channel. Rooms are a little dated but was able to find a rate under $200 so overall a great deal. Had to pay a resort fee so make sure you get the free mifi for the length of your stay.
Whilst a bit dated location is good and central. Best of all are the staff and service absolutely excellent. Splash Bar drinks and light dining great way to finish each night.
Nice hotel almost right across the street from Waikiki Beach. Right in the heart of all the shops, the zoo, International Marketplace, etc. Great locations. Rooms a bit dated but renovations are underway. Great open air lobby, dining and pool area plus live, local entertainment. Friendly staff.
The rear rooms I recommend no further as the windows only open a little bit, it is not for allergy sufferers, asthmatics since you have carpets, and of cleanliness impossible, it is neither dusted nor wiped dust, impossible on request another rooms to get. To eat in the hotel, is something of overpriced for what it is.
Beautiful hotel, nice pool but the resort package is a rip off. You pay $30+ for service that's only open a short time. They also don't have an area on the beach so you have to carry stuff. They allow you to get a go pro for the day but the attendant wasn't ever there when we were. I love the Sheraton but the low rating is because of the resort fee.
The lobby of the hotel is really beautiful and staff is friendly. Rooms and elevators are older and could use some renovation. Also wish they had a bigger pool but the ocean is only a few blocks away. Walking distance from shopping and restaurants. They only have self parking, no valet. And the parking garage only has an elevator on the very very top floor and it's hard to find. Not so convenient if you have a lot of bags.
If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can see them at HotelRaven. Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… Very clean, hospitable staff everywhere around hotel. (SPLASH BAR) IS AWESOME Debbie, Dana, Rocky, Herbert Super! local advice from them, service. Such a great location in the middle of all local hot spots one block from the beach and shopping mall restaurant's, bars, groceries. Even within this place everything is taken care of and great.

Celebrated my new job with friends and had the best time! Our server was amazing and explained every single item we got splendidly. Every single item was delicious and the drinks were absolutely out of this world! The live Entertainment on Tuesday Nights by the poolside is among the best in Waikiki.
An older hotel, but well maintained. The hotel's central location is one of the high value points! Walk across the street for a quality dinner at their sister property. Live music in the evenings was nice, enjoyed it from our balcony. Hotel restaurant, as well as a dinner and breakfast buffet are offered, but we did not partake. All the employees were very helpful.
In broad lines okay. A little renovation in areas and rooms is missing. Service remembered.
Great dinner buffet and bar in the lobby. Show on the stage at night. Beautiful open air center in the hotel; cool breeze and fresh air throughout. Very nice bathrooms and parking structure is decently priced; validate at the bar or restaurant for free parking.
If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… beautiful hotel with an amazing pool & friendly staff. (young children are given candy leis upon arrival which I thought was very sweet:) ) The best part about this hotel; though, is the location! It is right in the heart of Waikiki and only two minutes from the beach. This hotel is within walking distance to dozens of fabulous restaurants, shops & markets. This is especially helpful as it is difficult to find parking in Waikiki.

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… The luau at the Sheraton Princess was really nice. The dancers and fire show was awesome. However keep in mind that this luau is inside the hotel Convention room. An indoor luau doesn't really sound appealing however once you actually go and sit down and enjoy the entertainment you forget all about it being indoor. For the price it's worth it however nothing beaten outdoor luau. If you're on a budget I would highly recommend this luau because it's still great!
Good hotel. Nice by the water and beach. Decent prices. Don't think you are coming here to stay in your room the whole time. Showers are outdated. Rooms are good considering a balcony view. Beds aren't amazing and full size. Friendly friendly staff tho!
Great buffet with exceptional snow crab legs and prime rib. Both flavorful and tender. Salad bar had good selection, but spinach leaves could have used some chopping or baby leaves, spring greens would have been nice. Good selection of desserts. Coconut cake and cheesecake we're wonderful. Starting 8/4/17 Saturdays will be steak and lobster. Crab legs and prime rib Sunday thru Friday. Cost is currently $45 per person. Give local discount of 15 percent with local I'd.

Conveniently located hotel with easy access to a number of great stores from high end to everyday shopping and restaurants. This hotel is also a few minutes walk from the beach (literally). The hotel itself is not the best appearance wise. Everything is very outdated. Housekeeping only came once during our stay to tidy our room but they were great about bringing towels when requested. From our balcony we had a view of the beach as well as restaurants and shopping centers. The front desk staff were very helpful especially the manager Bobbie-very patient and easy going guy. The hotel does offers complimentary chairs, towels, fruit and water for anyone going to the beach! There's also a great tour guide area upon entering the hotel and a great restaurant and bar onsite as well. Shuttle service to the hotel is not complimentary it will cost (for 3 people we paid $42) and you must call them to make reservations at least 1 hour in advance (be sure to get a name and confirmation number). Lastly the hotel lobby does not have any doors and is pretty open to the streets so there were always homeless people lounging around and sleeping in the lobby area late at night and early in the morning (the staff eventually stopped this).
Overall experience was good. Decent price and a decent room. Normal Waikiki feel to the room; needs to be updated, but still well maintained. Nothing felt dirty, but you could tell had seen some years. Loved the open air lobby and the location. The location is probably the best part.
Hotel on the sea and in the center of Waikiki. Sranze large and clean but expensive.
Fire alarms went on at room at 3AM. Room guests were scared, opened the door and rushed to lobby with sleepy eyes, dress poorly. Surprised, the only girl in front desk said she has No idea about the alarm. The FIRE ALARM beeped again and again THREE times at that night. There was no response and apologies from the hotel. It's a terrified experience to stay in Sheraton.
Lovely hotel and so kind and warm staffs are there.
I had such a great time :)
thank you so much for your great hospitality <3
I miss there so much.
We stayed at Sheraton Princess Kaiulani and were very impressed with everything the hotel had to offer. Staff very friendly really nice rooms. Next time I would ask for a room viewing the pool. Really nice place to stay and only minutes away from Waikiki Beach with their own reserved space at the beach where you get served drinks and fruit whilst lazing on beach chairs under umbrellas.
First of all we're in Hawaii and it's hard to find any place wherein the employees and hotels are not wonderful. That being said the staff here were amazing. For me this hotel is so good because one of the morning said I was there I decided to go out for a run and broke my arm. I watch back to the hotel and they immediately help me obtain Medical Services. The rooms are okay but not amazing.
Nice location in the heart of Waikiki. You can walk to most things in the district. The rooms are on the late 1990s era but the location counter-balances that deficiency. Interesting water well kiosk in the lobby near the tower's elevators.
Went for an impromptu meeting on the second floor lounge area for the entire morning and then had lunch by the poolside restaurant. Fantastic service and hospitality! I would definitely consider staying there and I would recommend this hotel to others.
The staff was very friendly. Our room (17th floor) had a beautiful view, but it was a little noisy due to construction going on next door. We had a problem with the air conditioner leaking water for a couple of days. They were able to fix it, and we appreciated the free Wi-Fi we received. The drinks at the pool bar were great, a little on the expensive side. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
This hotel is older. Obviously, it was very nice many years ago. Our room had a constant leak from the air conditioner. It was acceptably clean. The location is very nice and allowed easy access to very touristy shops and attractions.
The resort fee can be waived but you have to negotiate. Take your laptop or tablet down to a Starbucks or McDonalds for your coffee and muffin and all the free Wi-Fi you can use. Paying for Wi-Fi at the hotel might be convenient so let people who are stupid with money pay for it. I like Starbucks so I had no problem with a five minute walk to check my emails. Don't pay for what you don't use. The PK is in need of a dire renovation which might happen once workers are freed up from the International Marketplace this August.
I come to this hotel for business. Always very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast buffet is good. Right off the main drag. Close to everything.
Great location, right in front of Wikiki beach. The rooms are a bit old, but good sized. The rates are pretty decent among the hotels on the strip. The reception desk staff are really nice and welcoming.
Good for a short stay. Beds are nice. Hotel is clean. Mini fridge included. Not all rooms have balconies, and some rooms are tiny. I would ask before booking. Close to the beach, but not beach front. Close to a lot of great shopping. A quick uber ride or scenic walk from diamondhead (took us about 45 minutes leisurely walking to get to the base).
Great location. Room was nice and cool but the sheets were difficult to sleep in. Plenty of pillows which was nice. In dire need of renovations and not another coat of paint on top of the last 20 years of paint. Staff was kind and courteous.
Hotel location is great! The rooms could use some love in the tower side, hotel staff at pool side restaurant could be more attentive. Towel and lawn chairs service with water and fruit is the best!
This was our 3rd year staying at Sheraton. We were there from 10/17 to 10/ 25. This was the worst yet. We booked 2 room with king beds and got 2 rooms with double beds which was suppose to be an upgrade. We had construction out our window that started at 4 A. M. The first night there I walked into the bathroom and cockroaches were crawling on the floor. I called front desk they sent a guy up and he put roach motel in my room. It didn't help we killed roaches in our room every day/night. The 2nd morning we took a shower and it wasn't draining so I called the desk again. They sent maintence up, we left on our tour when we got back I walked into the bathroom to use it, opened the toilet and a big wad of hair was in it from the tub. They didn't vacuum our room until I called the desk. I talked to the front desk 5 times about our room. They did not give us a discount. We go every year for our anniversary but next year 2016 we will be staying somewhere else. If I could give it a — 10 I would.
Sheraton Princess Kiaulani is an old property. There's no escaping that fact. It desperately needs an interior redecoration and an exterior facelift. But being that it's a Sheraton property, the staff were friendly and amazing. In fact I was really happy because I arrived early on my flight but thanks to the wonderful Front Desk receptionist, Bobby; Bobby was able to get me my room early even though I was arrived in the morning super jet-lagged. The view especially if you get the balcony views overlooking Waikiki beach just takes your breath away. You do get a nice pool, a decent gym tucked in a corner of a convention hall, and the location of the property is easy to get to and to remember. In fact the hotel is in the middle of everything in Waikiki proper so you can't miss it at all. The only thing lacking is its lack of beach access But I believe you can ask to have beach access at the fancuer sister Sheraton Wakiki property across the street.
I’m a huge fan of low-stress travel and the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani made my stay in Waikiki effortless. From booking to check-in to check-out, everything went well. The ease of everything enhanced my trip. Here’s what I loved: 1. The room – well appointed, balcony with a south facing view, 42-inch flat screen high def TV, private, small fridge, desk and a full-size dresser. 2. Wi-Fi – decent internet speed was accessible everywhere on the property. 3. The location! The hotel is caddy-corner from Waikiki Beach. This means the hotel is next door to the best shopping in the Hawaii, and about a 200 – 300-foot walk to Waikiki Beach sand and water. 4. Outside services – the pool and outside services are in front on the hotel but surrounded by tropical gardens, walls, and a black lava koi pond. The outside team assists with the pool, but more importantly you can check out then take your towel and a foldable chair to the beach. This process was really easy, and there was never a wait. We changed are towels frequently and it was never an issue. 5. The lobby of the hotel is expansive and Lanai style so you constantly get to the feel that warm Hawaii air. 6. The pool is warm and clean and there are plenty of chairs. I really liked how the pool had a real deep end that was over 8 feet. 7. My wife and I work out almost daily so having a real gym was awesome.
Last week my husband and I stayed at the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani and had the the most wonderful time. We enjoyed the nightly entertainment and the staff were fantastic. Unfortunately at the the end of our stay I broke my femer bone and needed an operation at the Straub Hospital. Everyone has been so supportive and showed great empthy towards my recovery. We would like a huge thankyou to our housekeeper THELMA who kept our room so beautiful it was a pleasure to come back to each day. If you could pass this comment on to her we will really appreciate it. thankyou christine and kevin brain from new zealand.
We arrived late and tired or we would have demanded a better room when we got up there… we were told we had been upgraded! … we had booked a sea view with a king size bed and got a twin room with a construction site view! … no sleep in for us! the dresser draws in the room opened as you walked by, there were cockroaches, the TV didn't work. Took 18 hours to repair. No hairdryer, we had to call for one. The safe and the fridge were very difficult to access in the wardrobe as the cupboard door kept sticking. The hotel is quite shabby and disappointing we believed the name Sheraton to be a a premium. def not what we thought we were booking… and you only get told about the daily resort fee on arrival. Which is $26+ us per day… on the plus side the towels, sheets and bedding were spotlessly clean. I wouldn't stay here again.
Absolutely wonderful first time in Hawaii and fantastic stay at The Sheraton Princess Kaiulani! It's our last day here and we have had a great stay again (this is our 3rd stay). Currently they are updating the foyer area and it looks fantastic. Hope to back soon to see the finished result. Highly recommend the Sheraton PK — awesome location and reasonable price!. The staff was friendly nice area to be close to the beach, I recommend highly. Just returned from another stay at the PK. I always stay in The Tower, 10th floor Ocean View. Great room at a great price for SPG members. The hotel is undergoing some renovations (noisy on the backside due to construction) and as of 9/9/2014 the lobby is done and looks very modern and bright. The Staff continues to be outstanding and full of the aloha spirit. Look for Uyen, Jahan and Justin. They really go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay. Great Staff Service and fine dinning. Rooms are big and clean with daily room service. Lots of local artists around the entrances selling there unique crafts. Did a lot of Christmas shopping from the local artists. Family was impressed as not the usual Christmas gifts. If your room isn't quite ready upon arrival, the Splash Bar and Bento is a great place to grab a bite and hang out next to the pool. We had an absolutely lovely time, staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and very nice. The meals were lovely and we enjoyed the entertainment round the pool.
The employee at the pool side were so rude. Then the manager " Kapiana" he was an.
To those who rated 5 stars need a head exam. Here on our honeymoon. Booked for 10 nights hotel only has 4. Was assured no construction and are now waking up 7am to heavy machinery and jack hammers. Waited 2 hours to rectify only to be told unable to compensate as we were checked in before 3pm. Unable to change rooms as no king size beds availabe in other rooms which is hard to believe. Would rate quarter star if I could. Never again sheraton princess.
The lifeguards suck! my bro was 16 and he could get into the pool without adult supervision, but they threatened him that they would call security because he wasn't getting out so he got out and when our parent came we complained and she didn't care so we went to the building manager. We are stilltrying to get something out of it (it's funny I'm writing this review on their computors).
If your room isn't quite ready upon arrival, the Splash Bar and Bento is a great place to grab a bite and hang out next to the pool. "Flavors of Hawaii" Volcano Chicken Salad sautéed in a special marinade with lettuce, Chinese cabbage, cucumbers, bell pepper, seasonal greens tossed in oriental dressing, and garnished with papaya and crispy taro chips. The salad is a good mix of local vegetables and fruits. The chicken would be better grilled than sautéed to help caramelize the marinade. Rating: 4/5 Kalua Pork Sandwich is smoky pulled pork served on focaccia bread with homemade BBQ dipping sauce, a trio of melted cheeses, and served with celery, carrot sticks, and ranch dipping sauce. If you like BBQ pork sandwiches, this sandwich is for you. I am more of a purist when it comes to kalua pig and like it plain or with cabbage. The BBQ sauce is overpowering. The portion is also huge so sharing would be more than adequate. Rating: 3/5 Waikiki activities to do/visit within walking distance (if you don't have a rental car) : * Waikiki Beach is right across Kalakaua Avenue. * Kings Village Shopping Mart is across Kaiulani Avenue. Every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, there is a farmer's market with fresh island fruits and local artisanal foods for purchase. Eat some while you're walking or take back to your room for a snack later.
Very nice all very attentive. But there is almost no kien speaks Spanish.
The bathroom of the hotel room smelled very bad.
Great Staff Service and fine dinning. Rooms are big and clean with daily room service. Lots of local artists around the entrances selling there unique crafts. Did a lot of Christmas shopping from the local artists. Family was impressed as not the usual Christmas gifts.

The Hotel manager was trying to cover up their termite condition. I mentioned with the hotel managers (housekeeping manager, hotel manager and hotel manager #2) 3 times. About termites keep appearing in our room. 07/24/14 — Morning — Mentioned with front desk. They promised to fix 07/26/14 — Morning — Mentioned again with front desk, housekeeping manager, and hotel manager. — The hotel manager avoided me 07/28/14 — Morning — Mentioned again with hotel manager — they keep denying and blaming each other.
