Hotel was clean. Front desk personnel was professional. Breakfast was good. Parking lot was well lit and safe.

Extremely friendly staff! Rooms are clean, comfortable beds. Our room wasn’t ready and they upgraded our room at no additional charge.

Nice hotel food and all stay here.

This is very clean, people are nice, rooms were great! I’ve stayed here a few times from traveling for work. They have lots of room sizes and a great price! I was actually surprised at how big they are! Highly recommend if you’re in need of a place in the area.

The front desk clerks are nice friendly and professional. The hotel and rooms are extremely clean. Breakfast attendant was friendly professional and uniform was professional.

Shower was wonderful! Very hot and strong. Luxury sheets on the bed:) We have stayed in many Holiday Inn Express while traveling and this seemed a step above most.

Excellent front desk staff. Rooms are very clean and the extra shampoo, soap and conditioner are very unique. Decent breakfast, the usual. But well maintained and very clean.

The front staff was very polite and friendly. The room was so big and the beds looked so inviting. I slept soooooo good in the queen size pillow I call a bed. It was just right. The breakfast was ok, not thrilled about the turkey sausage but the eggs were very good and the cinnamon buns were hot, fresh and good. Very good experience this trip.

Overall the hotel was great. Clean rooms and ample internet speed. The beds were comfortable to my and theres a lot of cool sights to see. The Declaration of independence was ratified not far from the hotel. There is plenty to eat in the area also. The one complaint I have is the drains are terribly slow in the shower/sink. Definitely suggest staying though.

We were very disappointed with our stay this time. We usually stay at Holiday Inn Express when traveling to and from Florida to Pa. But this time we were very unhappy. From getting off the elevator and the rug was very stained. Then our room had an odor like a kennel. We told them and all they did was spray some stuff on the rugs. Half hour later odor returned. The pillows were the worst. My personal opinion they are not taking pride in there hotel.

Our stay here was ok. Check in was quick and easy. The room was clean. The water got hot fast. Comfortable beds and plenty of pillows. Unfortunately our room keys didn't work. One worked sometimes, the other didn't work at all. We went to the front desk and they gave us two new ones. Same thing happened. After the second try we gave up and dealt with the one room key that worked. I checked the room for extra blankets for the sofa bed when we arrived. I found the plastic bag in the bottom drawer of the dresser. When we got ready for bed I discovered the bag only contained a pillow so we had to go down to the front desk, again, this time to ask for blankets. Breakfast ends at 930 even on the weekend. We are not early risers so we missed it by 15 min. We were able to get a few cold items — fruit, yogurt, oatmeal. The lady cleaning up the dining area was thoughtful and boxed up the last 2 cinnamon rolls she had just put away. Overall we had a decent visit and would return. Good location, plenty of shopping and restaurants, easy on and off freeway.

Nice hotel. New, comfortable beds. Room smelled like smoke. Housekeeper came by at 10am (even though we asked for late check out 12pm) and was banging on the door. She then tried using her master key, we told her we were doing late check out and she said "well I do t see anything about that, I'll go downstairs and check" she was VERY rude. Everyone else we dealt with was perfect.

This was just a quick overnight on the way south. Right off of I-95. Nice and clean, fair price (always book online through IHG for the best rates). Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. The ONLY issue was that the firm pillow was not so firm (HIX always offers both firm and soft pillows… one of the reasons I stay in them) but the bed was, as always at HIX's, very comfortable. I stay at HIX's because they are clean, comfortable, and predictable, and always a satisfying hot breakfast included. This one did not disappoint. Plus, lots of rest5aurant choices very nearby.

Totally enjoyed our stay. The room was perfect, the service was excellent and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Have definitely made this our "home-away from home"!

Great hotel! Unfortunately they had a mix up but they upgraded me to the executive king suite w/ whirlpool! Definitely satisfied. Amazing customer service. Only complaint I have is the alarm was set for 5:45 so me and the baby were woken up, but other then that no complaints! Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Stayed overnight after a long days drive, we had usually stayed at another hotel only a mile away but it was fully booked, so we got in just in time for a room then to go to a restaurant just across the street to eat. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly but upon entering our room we noticed a very strong smell, almost like reheated nachos, though being offered ways to get rid of the smell it didn't do the job, but since we had been driving for 8 hours we just wanted to sleep, so we opened a window and hunkered down for the night. The smell was still around in the morning. So soon checkout we told the front clerk (the morning shift) about the smell and when they confirmed it they comped the price by half. Over all the free breakfast was good, staff were friendly and very helpful and overall quality if the interior was clean except for the smell of our room and surrounding hallway.

Very nice room. King sized bed with a couch and chair. Had a fridge and microwave. Very clean and spacious. Very pleasant stay and for a good price.

Despite being a 2-star hotel, I was surprised to see that this was a high-quality hotel. The rooms were clean and large, and breakfast was also included. I want to give a shoutout to the staff here for working on Christmas, big props to you.

Quality interstate 95 based hotel. Breakfast was good enough to get us on the road in the morning. The beds were comfy and the bathroom was real clean. I would stay here again for sure.

Our stay for was great! Breakfast was included but we were really disappointed because the egg had meat in it. Not everyone eats meat. Would've been much appreciated if they had option of only eggs n meat separate. Overall it was very clean n nice.

Awesome beds and rooms! We had two parties and both were told breakfast was from 6-9. However, when we went to breakfast at 6 the dining hostess told us, and a sign stated 6:30-9:30. Other guests were also arriving at 6. But the hostess got everything ready for us early and with a great attitude. I talked with the manager about the problem. But by her reaction not sure if she will correct the problem. Overall great experience.

This hotel accused me (a non-smoker) of smoking in my room and charged my American Express account $250 dollars. This claim was completely false and I'm disputing the charges with American Express. Beware — This is a low quality Holiday Inn Express owned by a franchise that will look to rip you off. I'm a business traveler and have completely dropped my relationship with IHD and brought 10 of my employees with me. Sad that they treat customers this way.

This is a fine hotel for the area. Absolutely no complaints in quality. 4stars for having lower quality amenities compared to other Holiday Inns for the exact same price and room.

Stayed there this past weekend and customer service has gone down hill. Towels we dirty, bedding and mattress had blood stains and the television never worked. I can't say all Holiday Inn hotels are the same because of the experience I had with this location but I do know I will never stay here again.

Great updated hotel (I think they said with in the last 3 years) for Roanoke Rapids. Not many places to pick from for work travel. Parking lot is small. They have outside pool that looked nice. Breakfast, dining room was clean. Beds are soft. I will stay again next time when work brings me back.

Very clean the beds were so comfortable and I didn't even have to use my own pillow! Breakfast was good too.

Our room had a king size bed, couch, desk, fridge, and large screen tv. Everything was clean and working properly. The breakfast included plenty of hot food including eggs, sausage, and biscuits. The employees were very friendly. We would gladly stay there again.

The staff was excellent. HOWEVER, upon arrival I was sent to a room that was not cleaned, door was open and beds were a mess. We were relocated to another room but the sheets had stains. I requested they be changed and were replaced with… YUP, another stained sheet, so after two attempts I sleep on towels lining my bed. Head down for breakfast because I'm starved the next morning, only to be greeted by a roach on the elevator. Finally upon departure, I view my credit card statements and I had been charged 1 1/2 times for the room, a total of $400+. I love Holiday Inns, I'm an IHG member and I've NEVER been dissatisfied with a hotel until this trip. I travel often and this was sad. I will never stay at this hotel again.

Very, very friendly staff. Free Wi-Fi, amazing breakfast and super easy access right of the interstate. Beds and bedrooms wonderful! Same experience both times we stayed. Highly recommend.

Extremely clean hotel with friendly staff, well appointed modern rooms, and a nice selection of amenities. A relief to pull off the interstate at 1 am after a long drive and have a perfectly maintained, spotless guest room in a quiet hotel waiting. Restful sleep followed by a solid free continental breakfast. Very happy we chose this place and would recommend to everyone.

We stayed in a king sized bed suite. The rooms were clean and modern. The Keurig in the room was a nice touch. I also loved how there were 2 types of pillows, hard and soft, which were labelled. We had breakfast in the morning and enjoyed the selection. My main concern was that we had issues with the toilet not flushing. We didn't notice it until it was late at night so we just dealt with it. It was only one night so no big deal.

We were happy to have stayed here. The rooms were clean and that is very important to me also is was spacious. The continental breakfast was decent. The staff was friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

We booked 2 Bed Suite on line same day for our return trip from Florida… I was greeted by friendly staff… clean and comfortable accommodations… free breakfast was very good with a decent selection… I recommend this hotel for stays in Roanoke Rapids area.

The hotel was in a great location right off 95 it was clean and comfortable and had great amenities such as the breakfast bar and free Wi-Fi. The room was spacious enough for my family of five to have enough room.

Wonderful. Very clean. Great little amenities. The front desk girl was very good. All around great stay for 125 a night. It's also close by to just about anything you would need. Hell there is a Lowe's right next store. Ha. Anyway stay here if you are ever in the area. Won't be disappointed. P. S. The Continental breakfast is awesome. Fresh and so much to choose from.

When my family and I travel to Roanoke Rapids to visit family members, this is our first choice to stay. It's by far the cleanest and quietest Hotel ever. My kids love it here and so do we!. Keep doing a great! WE LOVE IT!

My husband and I stayed one night as we were traveling back home. This hotel has to be the cleanest hotel we've stayed in. The bed was absolutely comfortable! From the moment we walked in we were treated with exceptional service. Definitely worth every penny. They truly make you want to stay longer.

Stayed here on 11/21/15. Very clean and updated, fairly new. Price is good. Staff is very friendly. Right off the Interstate. Lots of restaurants all around it. Very convenient. Great cell service here, full bars of 4G (verizon), and free Internet service. You'll be glad you chose it.

When I stayed at the Holiday Inn express, everything was great the service, room, convenience to what I was in town for. It is a great hotel and I would recommend it to other people.

If you want a quiet place to stay then look no more, this is your hotel! This place is immaculate! The staff can not do enough for you and the price is the best around. We used to stay in the Hampton Inn which is next to the HIE but the must have changed hands as they were VERY RUDE when I was looking for a room, which made me look for another local hotel. Thank you HIE,, you have a loyal customer for many years to come, and maybe the Hampton Inn will learn some manners so that they don't lose other customers. The desk clerk "Heidi" and "Monique" who was the MOD were awesome and can't wait to go back to see them-thank you ladies!

My stop on my way to New York from Florida, Spotless and great place, smells clean. I would highly recommend you stay here if you need somewhere clean and friendly.

This place was okay, not that great of a location.

We stayed here on a drive from NYC to FL because Rocky Mount hotels we completely booked. That, and the father South you travel, the harder it is to find a completely non-smoking hotel like this hotel is. Accommodations are fairly simple but the property looks pretty new, is clean and offers free breakfast (some hot options but pretty generic) and is very reasonably priced. Unfortunately, the rooms labeled as suites are not true suites, all beds and the sleeper sofa are in one single room. The staff is OK, at 10pm and 8am, the same staffer is on duty and didn't seem to be able to check the high volume of guests in and out while handling phone inquiries.

Stay at this hotel. This hotel is amazing it is new, clean, and just a great place to stay. They provide a free hot breakfast and have very nice staff. And to reiterate, it is VERY CLEAN. Great experience.
