Actually a no star rating. Filth behind the bed. AC didn't work, we were given a fan in a box to assemble ourselves. The next morning we were told there would be a pool party from 3p to 9p and we could move to a room down the hall that was clean and ready now or to a room on the other side of the building My husband thinking how bad can a pool party be said we would stay where we were. The pool party was more like myrtle beach bike week with alcohol and marijuana and who knows what other illegal substances and drunk scantily clad people EVERYWHERE. The was no where in the hotel to not be affected by the noises and smell of marijuana. The desk clerk could have cared less. I was told by a rude desk person this morning that I was the problem because we were told we could check out due to the party, our reservation had been made well in advance of our stay. The party ended an hour later than we were told "because they can extend it " After the party ended people were walking the halls banging on room doors. People were also wondering the halls loudly at 5p when we returned from dinner When I asked to speak to the manager "he is out if town and I don't know when he will return " This would not been a family friendly atmosphere or appropriate for children.

We stayed here while visiting family in the area. Needless to say, we were not happy with the place. The first room we wete in there were what appeared to be bed bugs in the bed. We then had to pack up all our things and move to an other room at 10:30 pm. We were moved to a suite as that was all that was the only king room available. On Tuesday afternoon we were informed that "no suite required, you move tomorrow! " by the owner. He appeared to be Pakistani and was very rude! So . As we had paid for the week already we had to pack all our things yet again and move to another room after he banged loudly on our door at 10:00 am. The hotel needs to be torn down and built from scratch. Never will we stay there again!

Reasonably priced, I loved the room but housekeeping needs to do a better job. Bedspread had blood spots on it and they did change it immediately, wet spots on floor, not sweeping the floor and not dusting. Very nice front desk staff.

The good?. Showers were hot, … the beds are very comfortable … and the gal at the desk was great. The bad? … where do we start? … Where is the Continental Breakfast that is in the advertising? That was our determining factor as where to stay… we were told they quit serving over a year ago… TAKE IT OFF THE INTERET! The parking lot was full of potholes and dark. The hallway stinks from heavy cigarette smoke. Our room was not completely cleaned. Bathroom floor was dirty. Microwave didn't work right. There was a paper clip and penny next to the desk… so it wasn't swept or vacuumed. Next to the window was a big hole where someone's fist or head hit the wall… next to that was a broken lamp/table leaning against the wall. Our windows were dirty. Nothing in the snack machine. No kleenex in holder, So many things… looks the owner is milking the property to the end.

Bed bug alert people! The non-smoking rooms are not non-smoking and you can tell because if you look in the windows there's ashes still on the inside of the window seal which also means they don't clean at all. All of my sheets and the comforter which I always take off all had burn holes in them so I requested new sheets and lifted the mattress apparently they never clean under there. The back entrance had to leave all inside the building for several days and no one bothered to clean it's not vacuumed in the hallways at all. The cleaning lady even told me that they had recently tried to do a little upgrading and exterminate bed bugs and two of my other roommates seeing roaches in the room. Will not ever stay there again.

Wow the rudest man answered the phone, I barely understood what he said to me & he hung up on me. I called back, he was rude again & ended the conversation abruptly & hung up — didn't even tell me if rooms were available! Not staying here.

Let me preface this with the fact that I've stayed here a few times. I even stayed once while it was still a quality inn. Each time the place is different, and is generally trying to get better. Currently, it seems to be constantly under construction, and materials are always around the parking lot, and sometimes inside. The parking lot is full of potholes, and a little tricky to navigate in and out of if you're a first timer. The staff is all very friendly and accommodating. As of this review the rooms are pretty clean. There are some burns in the covers, but they're clean. The water pressure in the shower isn't great, but is serviceable. I had to manually change the TV input every time I turned it on, in order to get the cable to work. My windows were covered with plastic from painting the outside. Fridge and microwave were both clean and worked very well. Bed was huge and comfortable. Toilet was wobbly. The walls are a little thin, but manageable. The best part was that they seem to have finally gotten decent Wi-Fi. This place is convenient for me, but it's a little pricey for what you get, IMHO. That said, it's a work in constant progress, and a good option for a couple of nights. Hopefully it sees its full potential in time.

The pictures are not like what you see when you arrive! The place is filthy. The room phones don't work. There is no fitness facility, the area is ghetto. This is the worst red roof ever.

Checked in 3/1 front desk lady was nice and helpful! Got to the room that's when things went down hill. Holes in the walls walls, nasty stains all over the chair. No phone in the room! Oh and then woke up at 3:30am from itching, BED BUGS yes that's right, BED BUGS I'm instantly not happy I found one one on my pillow and recorded it crawling around just to prove I'm not lying. Just in case the 10+ bites wasnt enough front desk lady that worked night shift said she could refund my money I said fine we left. But what got me I never got and I'm sorry this happend or anything. And by the way this was room let's see if MGR wants to call me! And at least applozige for the situation that would be the correct thing to do. I'd stay clear for awhile.

Room is horrible no proper cleaning. Cigarette scent in hall way. Someone's door has towel under to prevent the scent of whatever was been smoked from coming out. Activities of the locals around was scary, and looks like they were well known for patronage of the place. We couldn't sleep the whole night, and the safety of the car parked outside was a concern, since we have our shopping for the day in it. I got the room booked online (no refunds, also too late / too sleepy to be checking into another hotel), and spending my night there with my beautiful wife… WHAT A SHAME.

Red Roof Inn in Burlington was ok to stay in. You get what you pay for. The room was cheap. Some rooms had carpet and different beds. Some rooms didn't come with all essentials so you have to ask. Beds were fine to sleep in. The hotel doesn't track in the most cleanest of people if you know what I mean. I wouldn't suggest this place for a family or an extended period of stay. If you need a cheap place to stay in for a night its decent in that sort. Just cheap like.

I don't seek a motel or room for the decor, the free breakfast, the fancy landscape or to have my ego stroked by the staff… unlike some of the other people commenting here. I want a fairly clean room, a hot shower, fresh, comfortable bed, plenty of parking space for my truck, a television with news channels, networks and the other 20 or so most popular channels, Wi-Fi that works well and courteous service… at a reasonable price. My experience here gave me all those things. Restful place at a great price and Crystal (not sure of the spelling), the night shift clerk was very informative, kind, helpful and professional. If you want to be pampered and seek luxury, go to a motel that offers that and pay for it… if you want a decent, comfortable room at a reasonable price, this is the place.

I don’t know why this hotel is 2.5 star. It should be a one only because there needs to be a ratting. The room was not cleaned, bed sheets were dirty and we couldn’t stop itching. The smell when you enter the hotel is just nasty. The room has holes in the wall, the curtains are about to fall off and the towels they gave us were supposed to be white but they don’t look white. They are dirty. Stay away from this hotel. If you’re booking through Hotwire like we did stay away from this area. Just terrible.

The worst, the dirtiest hotel I have ever been in, I understand is cheap, but that is not a good reason for dirty everything. The only good thing is the hotel lobby where you check in, it looked like a 3 to 4 star hotel which made me book the room as a walk in. Too tired to argue and go somewhere else. OH there was a coffee machine in the room but no coffee no sugar and no coffee cups. I wander about the IQ level in the management of this hotel.

Do not waste your time. Held my money for now three weeks after I asked for my money back. Room looked terrible and had as little maintenance done as possible. The molding was coming off the wall. Liquid nails would have fixed that. I was told when making a reservation this was the best room in the hotel. I think the swamp thing had a stay in our tubb. Cousin It from Adams Family must have layed in the bed because there was hair in it. I did not stay long enough to meet the mice, bed bugs, or roaches, but I firmly trusted the reviews on here left asked for my money back and am still waiting for their computer systems to figure out how to get it back to me. Also when I spoke to the Manager on 5 different occasions he offered minimal help. Worst hotel experience ever.

Great location decent size room bed was a little hard poor customer service but quiet and peaceful.

Well this was the worst night of my life. Can we say bed bug infestation numerous bed bug bites within 2 hrs of being their and then they moved us 2 a sweet and rats running around also I could not beleave this at all.

Worst hotel stay ever. Walking into the hotel smelled of something similar to gasoline and most definitely mildew. I've been to this hotel in the past (10 years ago), and the it is now completely run down. Tics EVERYWHERE in our room, garbage all throughout the hallway, and staff very unpleasant. Not including the alarming rate of prostitution growing in the area, which the hotel has unfortunately (knowingly or not) been sheltering. It was disgusting and we left a day early requesting refund. YOU HAVE MY WORD, if anyone says this hotel was pleasant, they are being paid to do so or are completely fine with living in filth anywhere else that they go. I wish I had taken pictures, I will keep that in mind in case this ever happens to my family again.

(1) My boyfriend is having bad allergic reactions to a cat that was once in the room we are staying in. The room was obviously not cleaned thoroughly. (2) Also, the shower knob is broken and poorly put together. (3) There is only one working outlet. But the bed is comfortable and the area is quiet.

Clean & good security… Watch out for the soap dish when you turn on the shower. I still have bruises on my forehead 7 days later. Liked it enough I have return reservations booked on August 2017. Update: Stay was alright. Rebooked at Red Roof for a late October 2017 stay. Chose Red Roof over Microtel at the EXACT same price. One first, the manager took me to my room for a pre — credit card charge inspection. He seems very interested in his guests, their lives, & possible needs they may have. My room was fine.

Wonderful hotel, love the pool We stayed at the Red Roof inn and it has been a great experience. The hotel is clean, the rooms are very large and the staff has been amazing. There is always a staff member available to assist us and the pool is amazing. It is open all day into the evening and very relaxing especially in this weather. The kids all seem to love the pool and the free Wi-Fi is great, it works on the entire family devices not just one. Red Roof Inn of Burlington is our choice hotel, and we appreciate the great service.

The absolute worst hotel experienceI've ever had. Bites kept on popping up on my bf. The bites have swollen and are still drainig. The hotel clerk tells us he's a doctor — that the bumps weren't bites and that my boyfriend has small pox? I won't be staying there ever again.

I had no problem! Nice people, nice rooms, nice everything. Really enjoyed my stay. Usually I have allergy problems at my own house but not here. Slept all through the night!

Wasn't a very well decorated hotel, the interior hasn't aged well at all. Some of the metal exterior doors have rusted leaving flakes of metal in the stairwells. The bed in my room was particularly brittle and actually broke when I sat down on it, the staff handled the issue quite well actually. All in all, it's not a bad hotel… It just needs some freshing up.

This hotel is crap. The only people you can respect here is the maid service. The guy who comes to rooms bangs on the door loudly and is extremely rude. The front desk people one out of two are respectful, but the man is just grotesque with how he treats the people staying here. Gnats are horrible as if they spray for insects properly or don't take out the trash daily. It is dreadful here. Not even I, a Sailor to the Navy, would lay here. To add on, there breakfast is horrible, the roofing and flooring looks as if nobody has even decided to redecorate to take away the mold and The rooms stench with horrible odors. The Red Roof inn located in Burlington doesn't deserve any stars. The manger deserves to be fired for his insolence.

I wouldn't even give them one star but I have to so that I can write a comment. When I called the day before my reservation, the man I talked to told me he couldn't talk to me because he was busy. They lost my reservation and tried to make me pay a second time. The front desk people were extremely rude. The hallways reek of stale cigarette smoke so much that it chokes you. The lobby looks nice but the rooms and halls are rather run down. The rooms smell bad. There were black hairs on the sink in the bathroom. The phone was dead and they didn't fix it. All in all, the worst stay at a hotel yet. Definitely never going back.

We had to change our room 3 times. First room was beyond dirty and smelled like it hadn't been opened in years with gnats everywhere. Second room was cleaner but TV phone etc nothing was working. Last room was dirty but not as bad as the first. The hallways smelled like a mound of dirty diapers have been kept storage there. The "continental breakfast" was again, filthy dirty with very few items and rock hard stale. Garbage etc everywhere. Front desk staff, night female and morning male, we're kind and tried to be helpful. I will never come back to this location no matter how tired I am from driving.

This hotel in particular at 2444 Maple Ave. Isn't clean at all and it smells. The only thing that has been renovated is the lobby. The rooms are dirty, carpets are dirty, it has roaches and water bugs, they had dryer sheets stuffed in the vents on the air conditioner, and on the day of my checkout I asked for fresh towels they only had one set, and told me I should've used the ones from the day before, and if I wanted more I would have to wait until 10 am until the head of housekeeping came in ad checkout is at 11 am. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I was in town for funeral and if I had to look up time to look up another hotel I wouldn't have stayed there. They need to renovate the rooms and take up that nasty carpet, buy a vacuum cleaner, mop and get the nasty odor out of the entire building.

Hotel hallways smell of mold. They put dryer sheets in the room AC vents to keep them smelling somewhat better. We had dried gum in our bed sheets. Smoke detector was missing from our room. Even after house keeping came to "clean" our room, we still had full trash cans that they neglected to empty. This may have been the worst hotel my husband and I have ever stayed.

Front desk clerk Andy Patel was very nice! Thomas was also very helpful. I stay here whenever i'm in the area. The rooms are clean, the staff is professional and very friendly. The breakfast is excellent! For what you're paying in rates you can afford something more elaborate if you want… I actually look forward to coming :)

The stay was okay not very pleased. Lots of abandoned furniture around the property and they had a very bad smell out the hotel.

It was a hotel, nothing more, nothing less. Clean room, quick service, and good location equals a great hotel.

They come beating on your door … Not knocking but beating tell you it's check out time when I had 40 minutes left for check out.

I hated my stay there. The cable does not work. I found roaches in the room! The other guests were disruptive. Over all I don't recommend any to stay especially for the price!

The room was clean staff was nice. Easy access trucks park in car parking lot but I found room to park and they except pets. I was happy with my stay.

There is nothing "quality" about this inn other than the friendly desk clerk. The carpets are ripped up. I passed a door that looked like someone had sawed out the handle. Pieces of roof were all up and down the hallway. I felt very unsafe and scared by the time I got my room. The room was not pleasant either. Carpets ripped up, uncomfortable bed, and all together extremely unappealing, I'm not looking to stay at the Hilton but I at least don't want my room to look clean. I suggest looking else where.

This hotel is horrible! Nasty! Stayed here for a conference July 12-14, 2013. Would have checked out on the 2nd night but no other hotels were available because of convention in town. Went to get in bed and noticed sheets were dirty. Called for new sheets and was given worse sheets than the first time. Front desk brought me sheets and did not offer to put them on bed. I layered the bed in sheets afraid of catching something. Spoke with others in the hotel and were told of bugs being in some rooms, just filthy. Prayed for God to keep my body clean and from harm seriously! That bad. Lobby area looks decent but rooms NASTY! do not stay at this hotel. Quality Inn Burlington North Carolina on Maple Ave.
