Well-maintained hotel. Thoughtfully appointed rooms. Fabulous central location. Excellent breakfast with custom ordering and specials as well as perfect service — it can be had in room or dining room or on the fabulous wraparound porch facing Broadway. The owner is visible and available for questions and help. Did not take advantage of any concierge services but heard they can be very helpful. Liked the complimentary beverages and snacks!

Just a great place to stay.

We love this hotel. It has a beautiful vintage elegance loaded with modern amenities. This was our third stay in about as many months. This time we stayed in the Superior Garden King. The fireplace, while converted to gas appears original to the building. The bathroom was amazing—wet room with oversized whirlpool tub. And it was sparkling clean. And then you get your own terrace area with steps up to Broadway. It’s like having a little apartment right in the middle of it all. Surprisingly, when the door is closed, you don’t get a ton of street noise. The staff here is super friendly and helpful. And finally, there is an amazing breakfast. Each day Chef makes a sweet and savory option offered along side traditional breakfast fare. Place settings are elegant (always fresh flowers) and the food over the top delicious. We live just a half an hour away and are already looking forward to our next stay.

Charmed is an understatement. As soon you walk up to the building you are drawn. You feel like you are taking a step back in time. The decor and the fine details are just beautiful. The staff was beyond kind and very accommodating. The owner Kathleen was so sweet and took time to get to know us and tell us some history of the building.
We are just in awe and we already can’t wait to come back!

We loved staying at the hotel. It was a lovely experience. I do not think you can improve upon it in any way. The room, was lovely. Our reception was outstanding. The facility itself is charming in so many ways. The staff went out of it's way to make certain that our every wish was fulfilled. We will stay with you again.

Lovely experience. The staff could not be nicer or more accommodating. The rooms are beautiful & spotless, as are the common areas. We were not disappointed.
The complimentary breakfast was beyond good. Served on fine china, the farm to table selections were perfect.
One drawback — the blankets & vents in room. You should have comforters, not starched sheets and a thin blanket. The vent on the ceiling blew on me all night. Had to sleep in socks & a sweatshirt in the middle of July!
But, hopefully that will be resolved, because this hotel is just a Gem.

Love this hotel! The proprietor is so lovely and has transformed this grand building into a beautiful designed hotel. The rooms are beautifully decorated and offer such comforting amenities. The breakfast is not to be missed. It's perfectly located for walking to attractions, shopping and restaurants. This is a yearly must for me.

We were in town to meet relatives visiting from England and booked here. Never stayed with you before, but we will definitely be back. From the moment we arrived the staff was welcoming, the room was beautiful, and the hotel charming. Breakfast was delicious both days, and our chats with the owner (Cathy? ) were very pleasant. Highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a great getaway!

This lovely family-owned hotel is meticulously cared for, as are the guests. The rooms are spacious, quiet, and comfortable. Breakfast is elegantly served and delicious, but also efficient for the traveler with an early meeting. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and seem genuinely interested in guests needs. I highly recommend it!

I'll start with the good: The location is outstanding, the building and decor are charming, and most of the staff are friendly. It is easy to see why Saratoga Arms has an exceptional reputation. Now for the bad: In my opinion, the "old-fashioned" atmosphere is not ideal for young people/couples looking to stay in Saratoga. While the traditional style gives Saratoga Arms some of its charm, it often felt like I had to tiptoe around and speak in whispers so as to not disturb the older clientele. I will go as far to say that Saratoga Arms gave off a haughty, even snobbish vibe. Overall, my stay at Saratoga Arms left a lot to be desired.

AS always, the staff is just fabulous. Always ready to serve in any way possible and always with a smile. The hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms warm and welcoming. The bed is like sleeping on a cloud. A lot of attention to detail. The kitchen puts out a breakfast for royalty. They accommodated our special requests. What could they do better? Nothing.

Clean, crisp, uncluttered spacious room, with wonderful bedding and plenty of amenities. The full sized soap bar came with the suggestion to take it home in the provided plastic bag — — — nice touch! Each staff member I encountered was pleasant and helpful. They seemed truly committed to the Saratoga Arms family! The food presentation was lovely. The location is great, with so many shops and restaurants close by. The porch is incredibly inviting. Give it a try!

My wife and I had high expectations of the Saratoga Arms and they were more than met. The rooms are quiet, the in-room soaps, shampoo, and lip balm were of the highest quality (I have purchased the shampoo brand over the last 2 years and was very happy to see it provided). The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, providing helpful and detailed service whenever we asked or had a question. The breakfasts were delicious! The snack room was well stocked and very helpful — we were able to grab a few drinks and snacks for our long days out exploring.

The Saratoga Arms was one of the loveliest and best properties we had ever stayed at. Well located, well maintained, efficient and friendly staff, historically beautiful Inside and out. The wraparound front porch invites you to relax with a glass of wine and meet fellow travelers. The owner has a wealth of information regarding the property, building, and the surrounding area which she is pleased to share and is a joy to listen to. We will definitely return.

Excellent service and accommodations. Breakfast and wait staff were excellent both days. Friendly staff, easy to hold conversations with. Room was clean and comfortable. Hotel was beautiful and very well restored. Only minor complaint — could not find water or juice in snack area — only soda and alcohol (we drink neither one). Very enjoyable stay!

The accommodations are exceptional with great attention to detail and the staff is attentive and professional. The Inn is in a perfect location to enjoy walking around the village or sitting on the porch. The breakfast offers an amazing assortment of fresh and homemade choices. Front desk staff very friendly and accommodating. I was impressed with how quiet the hotel was which I very much appreciated. Breakfast was yummy with a very nice variety of dishes. Dining area was spacious and comfortable, service very prompt and pleasant. Love your attention to being Green and also appreciated the full size soap. We've stayed few other places in the area, and they were all comfortable, but you will be our GO TO place for all future trips. Thank you!

We loved every minute of our stay. Kathleen, along with the staff, were welcoming, wonderful hosts. The room was spacious and beautiful with every amenity needed. The breakfast was delicious! Reservations at two perfect restaurants were made for us. We felt quite taken care of. We hope to return for a summer visit.

This was our first visit to Saratoga Springs & to the Saratoga Arms. Firstly, the innkeeper & every member of staff were so warm, welcoming, and customer-friendly. A short tour of the facilities by Jeff & help to ensure that we were comfortable was exceptionally personal & attentive. Information about dining, sight-seeing, and local points of interest were always offered and the breakfasts were well-prepared, excellently served, and wonderfully delicious. Every detail of our stay exceeded our expectations, even advising us of a cancellation so we could stay one more night! The only minor hitch was the very loud TV viewing of another room whose high volume came through the HVAC ducts into our room until 230AM on our last night. Everything else was most excellent & we would definitely stay here again!

We booked the day before we arrived due to a change in our planned trip. The Saratoga Arms was a wonderful place to stay. We were greeted in a very friendly manner which made us relax immediately and realize we made a good choice. Our upgrade to a suite was a pleasant surprise as it was our 29th wedding anniversary (not disclosed to the inn). The inn was charming, beautiful, clean, and had several extra touches that made the stay seem very warm and inviting. Saratoga Springs was a wonderful stop for us and we would highly recommend Saratoga Arms.

Our experience at Saratoga Arms was perfect! The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful and always available. The facilities are clean, the room spacious and nicely decorated and the location is very centric. The Saratoga Sparkling water each morning definitely won me over :) Breakfast was incredible both days. In fact, one of the highlights of staying there. We will absolutely be visiting again. This weekend was incredible and in large part thanks to Saratoga Arms and the warm staff :)

I had a wonderful time. Great ambiance! Great service. My daughter treated me to the week-end. It is centrally located in a very eclectic city. I highly recommend it. T was the best Birthday of my life.

My husband and I stayed here last night because we were in Saratoga to attend our granddaughter's gymnastics meet. It turned out to be the best choice ever! Gorgeous interior and exterior, very comfortable accommodations, excellent food, great staff, great location. Well deserving of the five stars!

From reserving the room to check out, the details and amenities are exceptional! Joe from the Front Desk treated us like royalty and everyone always has a smile to greet you with. Very accommodating and their water, munchies, and gourmet breakfast are a pleasure. We stayed in the King Room with the Whirlpool, what a treat! We will be back real soon Saratoga Arms!

Perfect in every way. Enjoyed Saratoga for Xmas shopping and stayed at the Saratoga Arms in Garden Level King room with fireplace and jacuzzi. Perfect location to stroll the town for shopping and dining. Day spa literally right next door though we did not partake. Room exceeded our expectations and was just perfect. I opted to add the romance package which included a dozen roses, chocolates, and bottle of champagne. The perfect touch for a perfect stay. Breakfast was also fabulous. This will be the new annual trip!

Stayed in the King sweet room 101. Floor is a little cold, but the fireplace helped warm it up. May want to consider a wooden floor or bamboo, tile is cold. The bath tub was a little confusing to use, could use a better instructional method. The breakfast in the morning was excellent and your staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Thank you.

We are Innkeepers ourselves in the Hudson Valley and cannot say enough good things about our stay at the Saratoga Arms. From the time we entered to checkout, the staff, service and amenities were top notch. The breakfasts and dining experience was impeccable and I can be somewhat critical. From the fresh eggs and Spinach to the Gruyere and mushroom eggs and lets not forget the gingerbread waffle! The location is prime on the quiet end of town but you can easily walk to everything from fine restaurants, breweries, parks and museums. We wouldn't consider staying anywhere else when in Saratoga and will be sure to recommend this 5 star Inn to anyone traveling that way. A true gem and a wonderful family who run it. Bravo to the Smith Family!

Booked the Saratoga based on past reviews, location and history. We found our stay to be second to none beginning with our first time walking through the door. The staff was friendly and personable. The accommodations we compared to a first class hotel with a Bed and Breakfast feel. Having a background in Health and Safety along with Public Health Regulations I was pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms and facilities. We had a chance to speak with the owner during our visit and found her to be friendly and informative. Overall our stay showed the great effort the owner and staff put into the Saratoga.

Centrally located, able to walk to restaurants and shops. Rooms are very spacious, clean and quiet. Loved the quaintness of this hotel. It's a cross between a bed and breakfast and a hotel. Very satisfied and will definitely stay her again! Breakfast was delicious too!

From the moment we arrived the hosts greeted us and made us feel welcome. Everyone was so helpful from Jeff and Joe to the owner we were treated so nicely. The rooms were beautifully appointed and the breakfast was divine. We were traveling for a week at various and beautiful Inns and at the end of our travels it was unanimous The Saratoga Arms was our favorite. We will return.

We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of stay at the Saratoga Arms. We utilized meeting space and room nights. Rooms were comfortable and meeting space was well-equipped. The on-site catering was amazing, fresh and home cooked! Staff was friendly and accommodating. We will be back!

Our host, Kathleen, was very warm and welcoming. Her staff was friendly and very helpful. The hotel is centrally located within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Our room was very clean, comfortable and well appointed. One might be tempted to sleep in but I suggest not doing so, as you will miss a fabulous breakfast. I would recommend The Saratoga Arms to any traveler visiting this area.

Great location! Great room! I loved the "freebies"! Great infrastructure of bldg. Good parking! Breakfast orders of bacon or sausage were so small that I had to laugh.

Our overall stay was wonderful. Our King/whirlpool tub room was spacious. Although not all the jets in the tub worked. Breakfast was ok. It was confusing what We were suppose to do until other customers told us. Sausage was burned one day and potatoes cool. Inn is beautifully decorated and guest pantry is a delight! Jeff at Front Desk was very helpful and friendly. Loved sitting on their front porch and being able to walk to all the neat stores and restaurants in Saratoga Springs.

Everything was perfect from start to finish! I just wish we were able to stay longer. The staff was extremely accommodating in every way. They were very helpful with suggestions on where to eat. The breakfast in the morning was amazing! The room was luxurious & comfortable There is so much attention to every detail. The special cookies were so delicious. Very impressed from the moment we opened the car door. The front desk staff were so professional and we're so very helpful and courteous. We were impressed with the way the proprietor interacted and assisted with the staff. We very much enjoyed our stay. The only thing I would change/fix would be the air regulator in our room.

Breakfast was top notch. Didn't expect freshly-squeezed OJ in upstate NY! Wine on the front porch in the early evening was delightful. We also love that this is a family-run business. My husband and I just stayed at Saratoga Arms for the first time to treat ourselves to a nice weekend. We truly enjoyed our stay… very friendly and helpful staff. Everything is done very tastefully with a lot of attention to detail and super clean and comfortable room. We love the location to everything downtown as well as race track and winery. We definitely want to return next summer!

We've stayed at The Saratoga Arms a few times and it is always excellent. The hospitality and attention to detail is noted and very much appreciated. It's like staying with relatives who really care about your comfort. The breakfast is delicious and served with pride, there's a room full of packaged snacks, cold drinks, coffee/tea, and fruit available 24-7 and you are free to take as much as you like… I know that my husband would love an espresso at breakfast, but apart from that our stay was perfect, thank you.

Tried many times to get a job there. I always gave great interviews, but they STILL will not tell me, after 2 years, why they won't hire me. They keep posting the same ad over and over, for help. Got news for them: If they are THAT desperate, they cannot be finicky. They need to be more professional. Beautiful decor, though!

The rooms are comfortable, breakfast is phenomenal, and the staff is accommodating and friendly without being intrusive. And the location, on Broadway right in the heart of Saratoga Springs, can't be beaten. It's a warm, welcoming place with a neat, historic vibe, and the owner, Kathleen, goes out of her way to introduce herself to her guests. We met several this past weekend who, like us, were returnees, and it's easy to see why all of us wanted to come back. I travel frequently on business, and have had the good fortune to stay in some pretty wonderful places. The Saratoga Arms is one that sticks out for its charm, atmosphere, and service. I can't imagine us staying anywhere else whenever we're in Saratoga Springs.

I can't thank you enough as every year I circle the calendar for the weekend I will spend at the Saratoga Arms. From the well appointed rooms, the service, the terrific breakfast and magnificent porch, the weekend is always perfect. There is no better location in Saratoga then the Arms. Walking through town in the morning and again to wonderful dinners each evening before and after a great day experiencing the race track and sights of the area makes the experience extra special. Personal visits from ownership is always a highlight. Makes us feel so welcomed every year. Thank you again. See you next year, if not sooner!

Second stay at this lovely charmer confirms it is special. Friendly, welcoming service is available but unobtrusive. Excellently located on Broadway is walkable to central Saratoga Springs. Beautiful historic building retains period feel but with modern updates. Morning breakfast service makes for a really great start for the day. And the porch is a great place to read, rest or enjoy a glass of wine before walking to a nearby restaurant for supper. We'll definitely return for another stay.

I decided to treat myself to a weekend away. A friend recommended Saratoga Springs. I found the inn on a travel website. Overall the reviews were good so I took the plunge. The inn is right in the heart of town. The building is attractive with nice architectural details. My room was clean with a large, comfy king bed, a fireplace and a seating area by the window. The bathroom was a good size and well supplied with toiletries. The owner, Kathleen, was very friendly and gave me good tips on things to do. I have no complaints about the staff. Everyone was polite and professional. The included breakfast was excellent! The city is small but larger than I expected. There are enough shops and restaurants to keep most people entertained. It was too early for horse racing which is the main attraction for visitors. Close proximity to Albany and Lake George is a plus. I highly recommend the Saratoga Arms. I had a fun, relaxing weekend.

We love staying at the Saratoga Arms! It is perfect in every way. It is an ideal place to have an upscale residential experience and be guided through the excellent restaurants of Saratoga. The Smith family assures that your stay meets your expectations and even beyond… from the bountiful breakfasts, then off to the races and relaxing evening gatherings on the grand porch, with a glass of wine and great conversations with guests from all over the country and world! You won't be disappointed.

Upon checkin we noticed that the facility has good security and is very well maintained and clean. The staff are very attentive and took care of our requests promptly, The breakfast included with the room was good as the chef prepared our eggs to order. Coffee was ok. Fresh squeezed juice was very good. Details made the difference in our rating.

Saratoga Arms is a 31 room Inn. The rooms are tastefully appointed. The bathrooms have nice amenities including a hair blower and fabulous robes. The Inn offers a wonderful breakfast. There are daily chef specials and a full buffet of fruits, breads, oatmeal and quiche to choose from. The Inn is located on Broadway so the stores and restaurants are easily accessible on foot. The porch is a great place to have a glass of wine, read a book or people watch. The staff is always available to help and are very accommodating. We will return!

We were tentative about staying at a B&B Inn because of a recent bad experience we had a short time ago in Middleburg, Virginia. BUT, to our surprise our room was more like a Ritz-Carlton room than an Inn. Beautifully decorated, bathroom with soft large towels and amenities. Breakfast was as good as a breakfast can get without a glass of wine. Owner and employees offered help in every way, from reservations to printing out our boarding passes. And, coming to our rescue after winning a race but no place to celebrate. She got us into the Country Club without a reservation. Will go back!

As usual, The staff at Saratoga Arms have their total attention on every detail. This makes our stay there better every year. At this point Mrs. Smith and her band of assistants are 10-0. When the room is not only ready hours before check-in time but perfect in every detail. When my wife walks away from the breakfast table and our waiter is worried that her food will be cold when she returns and wants to make her a new one. You know that you are in one of the best hotels in the country.

We stayed here during race season, and everyone was wonderfully hospitable and knowledgable. The room was adorable: antiqued look with modern amenities. The food and waitstaff were delicious and kind respectively. We would definitely return!

This has become our favorite hotel in Saratoga. It is simply the best in every respect. The rooms are warm and comfortable. The staff is friendly and at your service at all times. The made-to-order breakfast is wonderful. There is nothing like it in Saratoga. It is a gem and not to be missed.

Best experience ever! We love staying here for the last weekend in Race season every year! Outstanding service, professionalism, the breakfast buffet is awesome (Mary their chef is phenomenal) The entire team is first class — which includes Mercedes and the housekeeping team, the waiters and waitresses — Gary is our favorite — but each and every one of them are attentive, flexible, kind, cheerful and nice — big time! This lovely facility is the benchmark for all places to stay. Do not pass it up for Kathleen Smith, her lovely daughters and their family welcome you with open arms, attend to your every need and make you feel so very special! This is the best experience in a lovely little town!. Also do not miss sitting on the front porch and meeting the most interesting people from all over the world. (If we are there you will meet us — Ha! ).

A minor problem that we had with our room's Wi-Fi was attended to quickly. When it couldn't be easily resolved, and while we were at dinner, the staff moved our things to a different room. Such personal attention to ensuring that the guest's experience be perfect is hard to find in any hotel. Saratoga Arms will be our first choice every time we're in town.

The BEST Bed and Breakfast I've ever stayed in. In the heart of downtown Saratoga Springs on Broadway. This was my third year at "The Arms. " Kathleen, her family, and their dedicated staff pamper everyone perfectly. Best thing to do after a hard day is sit on the porch with friends, the Smiths, and other guests and just watch the traffic and excitement of downtown Saratoga.

A true luxury hotel and the ideal way to experience Saratoga Springs. The entire staff is unendingly gracious and had the best recommendations to enjoy the horse races and some fantastic dining. The word that came to mind as soon as I stepped foot in the hotel was "stately. " It is relaxed but really feels like a real part of the history of the area. Great Breakfast and the perfect downtown location.

Kathleen and her staff are exceptional. I love this place. It reminds me of when I was a small child and visited my grandmother's home. You walk in and feel loved. As with grandma's house, there are a lot of beautiful antiques that I'm a little afraid to touch (ha ha). Everything about this place is soothing, including the gentle creak when you walk up the seasoned staircase. Thanks for making a weary traveler feel at home.

This is absolutely the best place to stay in Saratoga. Everything is top notch. Definitely not cheap, but worth every penny.
