Reviews of The Time New York, part of JdV 4*
Well located in the heart of Times Square close to all the Broadway shows. Nice and clean rooms although a bit small. Easy check in. Italian restaurant in the building is a plus.

Great service. Janitza made sure we were taken care of. She was super friendly and helpful. All staff was fantastic.!
Very modern good size rooms. 5 mins from times square. Very helpful staff.
Great place! Great location!
Super friendly staff. Service was amazing. Food was fantastic.
Staff totally awesome and so helpful. Place looks old outside but all new inside.
I recommend this hotel.
Awesome place always. Great Halloween party. Nathan Goodman Jr and staff are always the best. Love Time and Dream. Everyone should try Serafina. Always the best pizza and pasta. Booked this hotel for my NYFW stay. The location was great. Easy to reach everything. Stylish interior and super clean.
Lovely location to Times Square, lovely modern rooms very comfy large beds would recommend.
We booked a room at The Time for my first trip ever to NYC and have loved our stay! The room was very spacious with a super stylish bath room, a big mirror that doubled as a TV (never seen this before! ) and a large, comfy bed. The location close to Times Square was perfect and we loved the little add-on of a free coffee & tea at the cafe downstairs! Perfect start to the day :)
The customer service was top notch! I look forward to staying here on my next trip.
The hotel is similar to the W Times Square but thankfully a better value. The rooms are modern and clean Complementary breakfast included. The staff is amazing especially Luis the supervisor Only they can’t get you an extra pillow or ice even after multiple requests.
If you want to stay in a luxury home away from home in Manhattan, New York, this is the place. The team right from the front office, house keeping, to the concierge, are all friendly and helpful. You also get gourmet meals with many vegetarian options and friendly service at their restaurant Serafina.
Lovely staff tried v hard but three noisy rooms. Slept with earplugs and earphones.
I traveled many miles to attend my niece's birthday at the penthouse. She changed her venue to you guy's cause she previously was there 2 weeks for a party. The staff came saying ppl was complaining and police was even called. But that wasn't an issue at the last party. Then guests looking at me and my cousin when we said were going up to the penthouse like us blacks are broke and couldn't afford a penthouse. But I guess y'all cater to who you want. I sincerely hope you guy's refunded her in full!
Great hotel cannot rate high enough in every aspect!
Had a wonderful holiday here with my four children and their partners just before Christmas. Outstanding staff and location. 5 star plus in my opinion!
This hotel is good value for money. Great location, really nicely designed, super clean, big rooms by NYC standards and the staff are super lovely and very friendly and helpful. Thank you to Emilio at the front desk who looked after me when my plane was delayed and I got there at midnight! Very professional and nice the deal with. Thanks again.
The staff is extremely humble and courteous — even the cleaning team biding farewell and asking how my stay was. The room was extremely spacious and the surprise behind the mirror is a special treat! The shower though… Wow. I would skip all of NY and just bathe in that shower for hours. Definitely recommending and will look to stay here again!
So far the staff here is great! The service is great. On our first night, they called our room to ask if we needed anything and if our stay so far has been good. They were all courteous and welcoming to my husband and I. Super accommodating to say the least. There's plenty of eye candy for gays and girls to check out, so that is a huge plus :). Too bad when they ask if we need anything else we couldn't tell them the whole truth! Haha! Anyway, would totally stay here again, especially if all you need is a place to sleep.
Overall was great. However, not a perfect 5/5 because it took 30 minutes just to check in… (They had to remove the alcohol from our room because I was under 21 — understandable, but not something that should take half an hour, especially when we were eager to start exploring the city). Room was clean, bed was a king size. The room was small, but that's what you gotta deal with in NYC. AC was strong and worked 100%, bathroom was clean, shower was good. No complaints here. Would recommend a stay here.
Amazing hotel, love the reception area. It is very brilliantly made with the watches that make up ‘The Time’. The rooms are a bit small but are decent enough for 2 people. The most interesting part of this hotel is the hidden television set which is behind the mirror. It took me a while to find it. But what a brilliant concept & excellent space management. I would strongly recommend to stay here as its centrally located and is just a minute walking distance from The Times Square.
This hotel is so hip & modern, we loved staying here. My husband and I are from Texas and we are in our 20's — we truly enjoyed the feel of this place. I have never stayed in a hotel as nice and aesthetically pleasing as this. We stayed in a "Deluxe King" room — it was decently sized. The TV *IN* the mirror was super fascinating (yes I said in — it was actually disguised when it was turned off), as well as the all glass dresser that you could hang your clothes in. The lights in the bathroom we're top notch to do your make up in, as well as the rainfall shower head. I felt top notch getting ready to go out in the city in this room. It is perfectly placed very close to Times Square — you walk out of the hotel and it's about less than a 3 minute walk to the heart of Times Square. The location is right next to the theater that plays "the Book of Mormon" — which was convenient because that was the only show we went to see during our stay. If we were to plan another stay near Times Square — this would be where we would go again. Highly recommend!
Our experience at this hotel was everything except comfortable. The room and the bathroom are very narrow, the wardrobe is also small is uncomfortable to use, the bed (Queen size) is tight and it was difficult to stay in two.
The room, despite the air conditioning, always emanated a terrible smell and we found the toilet in pitiful conditions (saving the details). We promptly advised the front desk that he sent two housekeeping ladies who promptly remedied the problem, explaining to us that it had been due to the non-use of the bathroom in the days before we arrived. They offer us a bottle of red wine as compensation of the discomfort. Quality is not great, but in these cases the thought is enough.
The staff are friendly, helpful and professional.
The location remains the point of this hotel, being very close to Times Square, in the heart of the Big Apple.
This hotel has a good location directly opposite CHICAGO Broadway. It is also very close to the times Square and the subway. The room is small but very nicely designed with a special twist. The toilet is not big but sufficient. The price rates are also pretty reasonable. Service is normal with the exception of the butler who is very kind and helped us book a taxi to the airport that is cheaper than Uber.
Great mirrors in rooms. Nice views but not the best. Happily stay here again.
The hotel was very design orrientiert. And it's really well located. But it must be clear that the rooms are relatively small (ours did not have a safe). And the 2 lifts are very slow.
This was without a doubt the WORST hotel I have ever stayed at, and I would never return! Upon arrival we saw a visible yellow stain on our comforter. It wasn't a huge deal but I kindly called reception and asked for a new one. I was told they would send one up to the room immediately. 45 minutes later I was tired of waiting and decided to leave and assumed I would return later to a new comforter. Hours later we came back to the room to find the same dirty comforter. I went to the reception desk and asked the manager to please send a new comforter. Someone finally came to the room and handed me a comforter and walked away. Didn't take the old one or change it for us. Still not a huge deal, but when we went to pull the comforter off is when I wanted to leave the hotel. Our bed was covered in little hairs (11 total). I was so grossed out I called to speak to q manager and was told one was not available until morning. Our room was changed but we were also told they would credit the $9.99 hotel fee. I just looked at the bill emailed to me and of course it appeared on there. More time wasted having to call and have it fixed. I should have even had to pay for the room after it was obvious the sheets were never even changed. Discusting!
New hotel which is quite OK.
Great hotel. Friendly staff and very helpful. Highly recommended.
Excellent location… Staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and had great personalities. Service was Outstanding. Would love to revisit this hotel again in the near future.
Overall pretty great, especially for a suite in New York. Although I have stayed in bigger suites for about the same pricing, I was happy with the availability of both room service and a minibar, which are becoming increasingly harder to find (especially together). The check-in process is a little weird since you walk into an empty room with simply a phone on a desk and an elevator to the right. Maybe it is generally staffed throughout the day, but we arrived quite late at night and had to figure out what to do on our own. A little guidance would have been nice, especially when weary after hours of driving. Apparently the hotel was remodeled fairly recently, but it was mostly hard to tell. The bathroom in our suite looked a little worse for wear, and one of the lamps in the living room had quite the limpy shade. It was just a step under "quite nice", but still totally good. All of the staff we dealt with were very friendly except for the housekeeping manager that was very insistent about knocking on doors asking when people were leaving before standard checkout time. It was surprisingly rushy, and I've never seen it at any other hotel ever. The pricing is hard to beat for a suite. You can get a bigger one in the same area for around the same cost, but it'll probably lack room service, a minibar, or both. I like those things.
I loved our stay at The Time. Great location in Times Square, fun and pretty updated hotel. Bed was super comfy, shower was a tad bit small and the TV in the mirror seems awesome, but bad quality if the lights are on. I didn’t want to leave NYC or the hotel! Also the staff was very friendly. Would love to stay here again and recommend to others.
If you are looking for a hotel near shows and near Times Square for a reasonable price, this place works. Location is great. The staff is also nice. The rooms however are quite small. If I had to guess, ours was around 200 square feet. If you need more space, don't book here. The room itself is fine. Felt clean enough. Sheets had a hole in them which was a little annoying. Bed/pillows were comfortable. Bathroom, like the room, is tiny and there is no storage… not even a shelf to put your little bag with your toothbrush in it on. Overall the bathroom felt a little tired, especially the shower. Also, two of the towels (face cloth and towel) had hairs on them. Ew, didn't even want to know so I just set them on the floor. I'm writing this 2 days in to my stay and giving 4 stars because location, nice staff and overall value outweigh any shortcomings.
The service staff is not that efficient. After two days they hadn't picked the breakfast plates yet.
The hotel is in a great location.
The rooms seem quite small yet offer enough space. The bathroom is really very small. People with broad shoulders would have no place in the shower.
The heater stinks when you power it, in the first moment we were afraid that it would start celebration and that's why we had it for one night.
This evening she doesn't work anymore.
For the first day there was no internet or TV.
and was told only after demand that the Internet is defective and when we were in the rooms and the TV had not, this did not go. But no one has given us a clue.
The staff was friendly.
I think it's just too expensive for the rooms.
Reasonable price and a very comfortable space. The location is excellent for tourists or other people who want to be close to the Theater District and Times Square. Clean rooms and plenty of amenities to keep this a good place to stay in mid-town Manhattan!
We love the location and it's a nice boutique hotel, but the elevators are very slow so we waited a long time each time we needed to use them. Also, we only had a closet in the small room, no drawers to put our clothes! However, I would probably stay there again.
The Hotel was very clean, the staff accomadated our request, we had a king bed, very comfortable, very warm considering the subzero tempetures the restrauant Serafino’s had a couple lower ratings but We wanted to judge for ourselves the food and services was very good I ordered an appetizer Bescalo “dried beef with sharp cheese some greens and fresh lemon it appeared to be a little expensive but for the quality and size of the dish it was well worth it and I hate to say it in Italy a friend of ours served this dish at their home and this was almost as tasty. My main course was grilled veggies, mashed potatoes and grilled beef strips excellent choice and desert ricotta cheese cake with strawberries slices and several different jams droplets on the dish one of the best cheese cake I have had. Overall if you are looking for a comfortable hotel in a very good location (the theater district) I would stay there again. My suggestion read the reviews and decide for yourself you maybe pleasantly surprised buno petito and if you stay there enjoy.
Great hotel in the middle of Times Square, great service, food and atmosphere:-)
I like this cool hotel very much!
It has some small rooms, but is very nicely built.
Very good and centrally located.
Priced in the middle class. Highly recommended!
Very good hotel very well located next to Time Square. Very large room.
The positive point is that it is excellently located, outside of that, is very inconvenient, there is a lot of noise at night, the hallway light goes through the door and the Internet does not work properly.
It depends a lot on the room you get. At first we got a dirty and very small and Q was 4 people and did not fit the suitcases. The next day we asked for a change D room and they did not get a clean and something bigger, enough to be able to enter the 4 and the suitcases. Friendly staff. Nor is it good to make you pay to keep your bags, because after 5 nights stay is not more than that service is free. Overall this well but given those details I would recommend going to other hotels of the same price range Q offer those services for free.
Modern Nice hotel, get free upgrade. Nice bed and terry towels. Good bed. Nice staff. Unfortunately, the street noise is also heard on the 16th floor; Ventilation very noisy even when exhibited. Cleanliness in the room could be better.
Centrally located. Studio rooms that have personality. Fancy house cleaning sign. Friendly and accommodating staff. Right next to Chicago and Book of Morman Broadway theatres.
Location: Very good staff: very accommodating facilities: good cleanliness: Good hotel car service to the airport.
Modern rooms and really good rates. Not just old rooms with new wallpaper which is often the case in NY. Would definitely stay again and recommend. Comfy bed, good window shutters, right amount of lights. I usually avoid theatre district but this was the best option and is so close to the R I could get to Union swaure in 15 minutes. Room did not have coffee machine or facilities to make tea or cofee, but I rang reception and they brought me up a kettle. Not a big deal for me since I usually go to a coffee shop to get coffee anyway. Unsure if there was a gym.
Affordable hotel for staying near time square. Nothing over the top or impressive though. They told me they would send a complimentary gift for my birthday but it never came.
Very good Hotel from the whole American context. Too bad that the staff did not speak Italian. Will. Italy and everything.
This Hotel is super central to Times Square, which is amazing. You could literally leave the front door and attend Chicago (playing across the street) or Book of Mormon just to the left. The hotel itself is really modern and chic. It is definitely suited toward couples and singles looking for a fun getaway. We used the hotel for 3 adults and 1 toddler, and it was a bit right. There isn't much space or storage space to "move in" for the stay. That would be the only real downfall of this hotel; well that and the elevators are tiny and there are only 2 of them that take you to your rooms (sometimes you have to wait a bit to get up or down). Otherwise, the staff is amazing and everyone is super helpful and friendly — the hotel is really clean and well kept. I would recommend this hotel to my family and friends.
One of the best hotel I have ever been. The room was amazing. I loved the contemporary design. Great location.
Location was superb. Rooms were very well taken care of — had a very clear European influence that resulted in great aesthetics. Service was phenomenal, down to the drinks I ordered.
Amazing. Couldn't have asked for more. Staff amazing. Rooms amazing. Perfect location with everything in close range. Recommend to all ages.
Chose the Time, had tickets to the Book of Mormon next door. Doorman went out of his way to help find a parking garage that would accommodate my Qx 80. Modern look nice bed stayed 5 nights. Very friendly staff. Right in the middle of the city close to anything and everything. Would book there again.
Small room, tiny bathroom. American Breakfast minimalist.
Great location however next to Times Square.
The rooms on course are quiet but the view reduced to the opposite wall. Noisy Air Conditioning.
The best of the best. A great life. I love new york and your people are the best.
Modern room. Good service. Very good location.
Polite and very helpful staff, rooms are tidy and the bed is very comfortable. If the room you book on booking does not take breakfast, it costs $20 and you can't choose what you prefer.
My wife and I stayed at the Time New York from the 10th of Jan to the 18th of Jan and we couldn't have enjoyed our time more. We were in New York to elope and the hotel was perfect. Upon arrival at the hotel we had a quick check-in, which was great after flying for 22 hours, they had left a bottle of Champagne and card congratulating us on our upcoming wedding. The room was super clean and in a great location in Midtown. The bed was really comfy, the bathroom was clean and t…he shower was great. The room was quiet given it's proximity to Time Square so you don't need to worry about not getting a good nights sleep. It was also was very easy to catch an uber or cab from the hotel and quick walk to the Subway. A special shout out to one of the cleaning ladies, Tsultrim, she was amazing! Once she found out about our wedding, she went out of her way to clean our room and make sure everything was extra clean, she was very nice and made our stay even more enjoyable! We loved staying at The Time New York and we will definitely stay here again!
A wonderful 1 night stay… I am a former New Yorker who worked blocks away from the hotel. It is perfectly placed in the Theater district. We requested early check in, left our bags with Josh and went to lunch with an old co-worker. The hotel gave us a call to let us know our room was available, very efficient. Check in and check out was seamless, with exceptional customer service from Andre. Not sure when the hotel was renovated, but this new design is modern, with a smart TV and touch screen Do not disturb signs, it was pretty sweet! We didnt experience any of them bathroom dilemnas that other yelpers mentioned in reviews prior to 2013. Actually the bathroom was spotless. For a perfect night on the town they have Mac, Sephora and Inglot for your makeup needs. There are a number of makeup artists and fancy salons in the area as well. All blocks away from the hotel. The Garment district is a cab ride away if you were looking for something extra special… and I usually Google "sample sales" to see who's having what. Book of Mormon is literally steps away from the hotel lobby, and across the street is Chicago. Tkts is around the corner if you have time to stand in line to snag a deal on a Broadway show. After the show, stroll down the same block to Lillie's. My kind of restaurant, not too stuffy with beautiful decor, great food, great drinks!
I'm in love with this hotel. From the Bose sound system to its crazy cool mirror-TV… I can't say enough great things about this place. I've stayed at a lot of New York hotels and this is by far my favorite midtown one by a landslide. I'd even add a star for all the maison margiela products. Do yourself a favor and stay here.
Super-modern hotel with pretty spacious rooms. Bathrooms, however, are a bit cramped compared to the rest of the room. TVs are built into the mirror which is unique but not very functional. During my visit, with a party in the penthouse and one elevator in operation, it took 12 minutes to get from the lobby to my room (not sure how common this is).
Very nice and cared for, friendliest staff, we had a very nice and clean suite.
The hotel is centrally located but it is really noisy even up on the 11th floor. AC hums through the night even on low which is a little annoying. And even on high, I couldn't get the internal room temperature below 73. You can hear your neighbors going in and out as the door slams. Then again, I'm not used to the limited space. Probably wouldn't stay here again as I prefer a more quiet room. Price wise is not bad, and the room we had was updated really well.
This hotel did not quite suit my needs. It was visually beautiful but too small for my comfort and expectation. I'm pregnant and got in early and was exhausted. They worked hard to get a room ready for early check in. That is rare customer service in an NYC boutique hotel! Trust me! After switching rooms once my husband called and asked to cancel and they were so gracious and accommodating. They apologized for the rooms not meeting our needs and cancelled the reservations with no penalty. If I ever need to be in the area again — this time maybe for a single party night while not pregnant — they will absolutely get my business for being so helpful and gracious! Would be very comfortable for a busy couple or single guest who's in town for the fun!
Excellent location, modern, reasonable prices, friendly staff and well equipped large rooms.
The rooms are good and very friendly service. Only downside (and quite serious for me) is that roof air-conditioning appliances made much noise and wouldn't let me sleep (it was on the last floor)
Perfect location. Safe and secure! Very comfortable bed. Room & bath big enough. Staff super nice & helpful. Babul at onside restaurant was excellent each morning when I came down in search of coffee!.
Room small but well decorated and modern. Good location for tourists.
A good hotel which is available priced from 96 EUR. This is 2 minutes from time square. The rooms are spacious shower on the State (rain shower) are there every day new towels and SOAP and the service is very friendly and helpful.
Very friendly staff, good size rooms that are modern and fresh, large bed that is very very comfortable, we had a nice view from our room, contemporary bathroom with Large shower. Would defiantly recommend!
Recently refurbished, very modern and fashionable hotel in the heart of Times Square. Seconds walk from Broadway shows and shopping in Times Square. Extremely attentive friendly staff. Comfortable rooms.
We've been to The Time Hotel for a recent weekend in New York. The hotel is really nice, just renovated, with a contemporary clean style, black and white as the dominant colors with a lot of design details. Unfortunately we had the misadventure of having really noisy neighbors, and the walls are not thick enough to handle noise. The issue was addressed as soon as we mentioned it to the reception, which we truly appreciated. Yet I'm all in for more sound-proof rooms in a hotel, if it wasn't for this I would've given this hotel 4 stars.
The hotel was recently renovated and looks nice. We got a queen room and, even though it wasn't huge, it worked well for us. Anyone in the staff was friendly, even when having to deal with neighbors who were listening to loud music at 1am.
Good price, perfect location, room size is fine but the bathroom is very small. Note that you should put a deposit of 50$ per night.
Really classy hotel. Smaller rooms but comfortable. Great rainhead shower and nice bedding. Would definitely go back another time.
Ordered the room off hotel tonight upgraded to a king room man the room was gorgeous TV in a mirror shower was really nice… was a lil frustrated when I waited 15 mins for the elevator because the housekeeping staff was using the elevator to grab the bedding off the floors… other than that I was impressed.
Very nice hotel 2 blocks from time square. Excellent location and service.
I stayed here for 8 days and this is the worst hotel that I've ever stayed. The place is undergoing some renovation. Full of dust in each corner, especially in the room, walk ways and in the elevator. No essencial amenities like water boiler in room or chilled drinking water. They have a mini bar attached with pressure sensors so you are not invited to use that for your own supplies. Even no drawers or cupboards in you room to keep your personal belonging. You have a small locker but all your cloths and bags goes in open space. I saw a rat sharing the same room with me on the day before I leave. It lives inside the loud air conditioner and I had a restless night thinking its the last night that I have to go through this ridiculous chain of things. Also hotel staff were very unfriendly. Except two of them in the front desk — compared to the rest. This is the first and last for me at the time hotel. I would not recommend this to anyone who has some sense.
Very nice. Small typical NYC rooms, but great staff and nice decor.
My wife and I, plus my sister-in-law, stayed two nights in August (2014). The rooms were ideal for what we needed them for. However, I have tried to contact them by email since our return to England, but they have not had the courtesy to reply about an invoice query I have.
The room was small and noisy. We were on the 16th floor and the window didn't close properly so it let heaps of noise in. Massive cosmetic damage on the walls. The bathroom extractor fan made a terrible noise and every time the room above us flushed their toilet it woke us up. The staff were quite helpful and friendly and I would give then 3 stars but the hotel itself was shocking. For the price I paid and it's four star rating I was highly disappointed. It also had a leak that made the carpet wet.
Lasting impressions: Great location, dated, small My experience: We were only in town for the weekend, so stayed at the Time Hotel for its location and booked a suite as there were three of us. Other hotels have larger suites but the Time is really well located. The bed was comfortable but the sofa bed needed some padding to make it bearable. There was a large leak on the 16th floor corridor and we also discovered a large puddle of water on our window sill. If you're facing towards the Citizen Hotel and have young children with you, we were surprised to discover that you can see directly into the rooms and their beds are against the window and not everyone pulls their blinds down. The verdict: Great location for a short stay. Other hotels are porbably more comfortable though.
Small rooms, tiny bathroom, there was something in the carpet that gave me an alergic reaction. Wifi didnt work. Service was very poor, the consierge didnt help us at all. A huge disappointment. The photos they post in ther website are fake for sure.

RespondI can recommend this hotel for everyone who just visit New York. The rooms are very clean, Nice staff and a super location speaks for itself. Although the rooms are very small, days NY but for 2-3 more than adequate. The price is lush, relationships more than good under but for NY. The time Hotel again…

I have never had a STD before and had never had unprotected sex. However, I had a boyfriend, who at that time had a cold sore. Frankly, we assumed that it was just a spot because we never came to know about herpes until now. We engaged in oral sex, and that’s how I got herpes. Thank God that I found Dr. Akhigbe online who prepared me a herbal remedy that I only took for 14 days with faith, then I went for a check up and I was totally cured (herpes Negative). His medication has no SIDE EFFECT, there is no special diet when taking drugs you can contact him on his email: drakhigbeherbalhome5gmail. Com or whatsApp +2349021374574. And get all your problems solved.
