Great hotel, highly recommend!

Clean hotel. Room comfortable. Staff helpful and friendly. Few problems with the lock on the room breaking and our safety deposit box need opening due to fault — all sorted within 30minutes. Never made it to the Rooftop bar as it was closed Sunday and Monday night. Couldn’t make it Tuesday then Wednesday a private function. Great location. Asked the barman to make a Malibu cocktail and all he did was poor in pineapple juice — luckily it was free as could of made that at home.

The location is great. This staff is amazing the view from my room was awesome and the turndown service was on point! Thank you for a great time.

Two TV hosts got covid whole working in NY and staying there. They were staying in their rooms. Got discriminated and your hotel refused food service not even coffee. They were kind enough to let you know. I wonder how many tourists are staying there with covid and have stayed quiet. 🤔 👎

This place saved us! Stay away from their neighbors Hilton Gardens and stay here. So much more accommodating and so much nicer. 5 ⭐️!

The Knickerbocker is located in Time Square and so very convenient to many venues. The rooms are very spacious as are the bathrooms. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the rooftop bar is spectacular with its views of Times Square from their beautiful outdoor patio. I would definitely stay there again.

Absolutely disgusted with the lack of customer service from this hotel. We booked to arrive in a few weeks time for 3 nights before setting off on a cruise round the Bahamas. Due to the Coronavirus outbreak a travel ban has been put in place meaning we can’t travel from the UK to the USA obviously completely out of our control. Virgin have refunded our flights straight away no problem. Royal Carribean have cancelled the cruise and refunded us straight away. The Knickerbocker basically said it’s tough and we’re keeping your money. They have flatly refused to change the dates or give us any form of credit. We will be re booking our trip for later this year and I guarantee we won’t be going near this place.

Ming the gentleman who coordinates luggage being brought to room/ removing luggage from vehicle and loaded vehicle when leaving/ valet parking! He was pleasant professional and refreshing to interact with!
Also our bellman Jimmy was fantastic!

We loved our stay! We came for the NYC Marathon and 10yr wedding anniversary. The ladies at the front desk were kind, helpful and made check in and our stay very enjoyable! The concierge was wonderful and very helpful! We most definitely will return!

We always stay at the Knickerbocker when in the city… everyone is always so helpful & friendly. The rooms are very comfortable, with a lovely view of Time Square and the action! The rooftop bar is a must in nice weather… I would recommend The Knickerbocker if you visit NYC.

The hotel is CLEAN, chic and in the perfect location with great access to everything. It’s smaller but that’s the norm in NYC. Staff were very helpful and the concierge reached out via text each day to see how things were going. Downside is that there isn’t a business center or computer available. Having at least one stand alone computer would be helpful. Either way, we will come back.

Be aware! I was charged extra 1000$. Almost one week passed from check out, I still didn't received any money back. Very disappointing and unprofessional management.

This was our second visit to this hotel, this time without kids as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and it was just as fabulous as the first time! The bottle of Prosecco waiting for us was a lovely gesture and much appreciated! The staff are happy and helpful and want to make your stay the best. Big thank you to Ganja who looked after us at breakfast each morning, superb service. A massive plus is the wonderful rooftop bar, which is a must, with lovely cocktails and a great view! Can’t wait to go back again in the future!

We did our wedding anniversary at this hotel and we received an exceptional service! Caring staff! Even our dogs were spoiled :-) (toys, bed…)

This is truly a five star hotel. It first began with Andre the door man, greeting us with the biggest, brightest smile. He assisted with our car being valeted to making sure we were able to check our bags early so we wouldn't miss our showtime. After driving for 4 hours it was definitely refreshing to be treating with such care. The staff at the front desk are very friendly as well. The room was very inviting. Simple streamline decorating with a very comfortable bed and pillows. You can also tell that the room was CLEAN! The bathroom walls/shower are all frosted glass. Do you know how hard it is to keep frosted glass looking clean?! Every sill and corner of the room was dust free. We definitely felt like it was worth the money. We've stayed at more expensive hotels and never received the high caliber of service that we had. The staff really made us feel that they were happy we were there. We will be back!

Rooms are modern and contemporary with really cute, large bathrooms with a lot of natural light and white tones. In-room accessories are some of the coolest we have seen in our travels — they strike a very subtle balance between modernist style and the feeling of a bygone era. All in all, a very chic hotel with some minor service lapses that were quickly rectified. The location and the interior of the hotel far outweighed the minor negatives. We will definitely be back.

We spent the last four nights at this hotel and it is the best. Best beds, best location, best staff, best red wine, best old fashions and best of all good coffee x.

Clean rooms and an upscale experience in the middle of the busy part of the city this place is mind blowing because it looks classic on the outside but it's so modern and chill on the inside and the rooms are bigger than most rooms in New York. I love the fact that they have valet parking but you have to ask for the car 30 min in advance which is not a problem for me because I would not want to drive in Manhattan. The location is right smack in the middle of city and everything is within walking distance of the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel because of how big the rooms are and how well equipped they are this is definitely my new favorite hotel in Manhattan.

Our stay was very short but amazing. The hotel has a classy look from the outside and a very modern neat look on the inside. The wife and I were in awe. Our room was smaller than we'd imagined but they've designed it so well that it's all the space that you need and with so many features. The service was great as well. Staff was very friendly and helpful with everything. And the location was just ideal. Definitely staying here the next time we're in NYC.

Only went there for drinks and dinner visiting cousins who were staying there. Service is impeccable. Prices were as expected. We ate in the bar on the fourth floor but I could be mistaken on the floor. Starters in the $16 to $24 range, entrees in the $24 to$50 range and sides in the $8 to $20 range. We had an excellent Cabernet Sauvignon for $105 per bottle. Our family was on the 6th floor and you could not hear any noise from the street and it was noisy! A pricey place to stay but worth it if you can afford it.

This hotel is one of the only upscale hotels on Times Square which is a big plus. The rooms are really nice and well designed with blackout curtains a big bathroom and a nice desk. The rooftop bar is quite nice especially during the spring/summer months. The gym is of good size and has most of the equipments needed for a good workout. They have a free shoe polish service which I also thoroughly enjoyed.

We stayed at the Knickerbocker with our 3 children, and from the moment we arrived outside, to the moment we left, we received an exceptional service. The doormen were very professional, and friendly throughout our stay. Checking in and out was very easy, and went without any issues. Our actual room was incredible, and very spacious considering it's in NYC. So modern, with several home comforts. Our children were well taken care of too, with colouring books, and an Xbox. We… were in NYC for our elopement, and the hotel sent up complimentary wine, Champaign and a cheese board to our room. The roof top bar is out of this world, and the views are breathtaking! The service is fantastic, and I have no doubts about recommending the hotel for your NYC stay.

This is a great hotel with a beautiful classic look on the outside and new bold look on the inside. I would have given 5 stars if they didn't completely ruin my room service experience. At least they were nice enough to remove the $26 hamburger from my bill. Great location with helpful employees!

What an amazing hotel! As a corporate trainer having done much training in the hotel industry, I can’t help noticing customer service, cleanliness, efficiency and the deeper things. The hotel culture is easy to read and excellence always starts from the top. The Knickerbocker Hotel is truly 5 Star. It was not just a good experience — it was a wow experience! Each team member always had a smile, greeted you as they made eye contact. You never had to hunt for someone to answer a question. They check on you, sweet surprises in the room which was always clean. The food service fabulous and yummy. The flowers abundant, bed and pillows perfect and the amenities amazing. Thank you to the entire team and to the impeccable GM Karim. Our Empowering a Billion Women by 2020 ladies appreciate and respect each of you!

Haven’t stayed there. Only have gone to the bar. Pretty laid back. Supposedly invented the martini. Can’t verify if that’s right but the one they make is really good. Also has a cool outdoor space for happy hour during weather days. Whatever snacks or bites I had there were really good as well.

Where do I start. When I called to add additional night to my reservation I was on the phone for 40 minutes and then they informed me that they could not make my reservation due to the computer system was down and to call back the next day. I was called 3 days prior to my arrival stating that I had 11 rooms booked for the first night that was incorrect I only had one room booked. I requested late check in but was called by the hotel asking if I was still arriving the day of my check in, they did have my late check-in request. When I arrived at 11:30 there computer system was was down once again and they were declining check ins and telling guest they had to use other hotels. I was lucky and was able to check in an hour later. Do not use the Rooftop Bar very understaffed and you will have to wait to be served 30-40 minutes. Arrived back in my room at 9 p. M. And room temp 80 degrees. The a/c was broken. I will never use this hotel again and I will continue to stay at the Marriott in the future.

Great experience! The hotel is very conveniently located right near the Times Square Subway entrance. The concierge was helpful and there were no issues. The room was spacious and clean. Overall, it was a lovely experience. Would recommend.

The view from the roof is really top notch, especially for non-locals. Ambience is nice, and the feel is cozy but not overcrowded. Bar tenders are most attentive, and provide top notch service; but prices are really outrageous. Of course, this is to be expected for a midtown hotel bar. The bar itself isn’t standout. Go here to show out-of-towners great views of Times Square on a great rooftop.

The lounge on 4th floor is great. Love music is good but sit far if you want to be able to talk. Drinks are decent but service is a little slow.

Excellent stay! The room was 1st class and so was the staff. I was a bit disappointed in the dinner at Charlie palmers. For $50 I had a small piece of chicken and a gin and tonic. Nothing special and it was a bit pricey for the lack of taste. The roof top bar was pretty impressive (although too cold to enjoy the outside and too loud for inside enjoyment as I needed to work) the room made it worth it all. The bed was so comfortable and the shower was one of the best I have experienced. I enjoyed the Smart room features.

Best hotel I've ever stayed at. Room has a modern feel and upgrades, while still comfortable. Staff was great and bent over backwards to make sure my stay was nothing but the best.

Incredibly great hotel! Large rooms and a hidden seating area in the lobby which helps makes the hotel feel less touristy. The hotel has a lot of history which you can read about in a book in the rooms. The rooftop bar is pretty cool too. I would definitely stay here if you're looking to be in a central location in the city!

Vary nice place for anybody to stay close by time Square. I like this hotel so much. By the way, I don’t know the name of the DOOR MAN, He is very very greedy. He charged $10 to my driver as a gratuity while I was way to JFK around 5:00am on 01/17/18. Though I gave him good tips. Management should take a care of it.

We spent a week in the Knickerbocker between Christmas and New Year. Location is perfect: you are close to everything, middle of time square, metro in reach and lot of uber and cab just at the door front. Service is exceptional: never had to wait for questions in the lobby, always friendly and helpful. Room service staff is very friendly also. We spent new year on their roof top bar, which is a lifetime experience in itself. We had a premier room with city view. The room in itself was very cozy, with desk, small sofa, large flat TV and a great king size bed (not too soft, not too hard, just perfect, we slept great). Bath was large with wall mirrors and enough space for 2. What I would have expected more is: a bathtub as with the cold winter weather it can feel good to warm up in the evening. Secondly, there is no Tea or Coffee at convenience in the room, neither a boiling water pot. For such a class hotel, this should be part of the package. I would like to underline as a conclusion the exceptional service and support of the staff. On depart day, our flight was cancelled due to storm weather back home. Hotel arranged all to extend our room for one more night, we didn't have to even change. On the next day, due to blizzard in NY they arranged so that we could stay in the room until leaving for the airport. Very appreciated, the hotel did all to help in the situation.

Awesome staff! Great location for times square. Need better doors between rooms. I could hear the girl next doors conversation clearly whether I wanted to or not.

Excellent location, great service and friendly staff. Definitely a great place to go back and enjoy the senses!

Over all I say it was a very pleasant experience except couple of things. 1. If you go there try to take shower before others do, seems like as soon as room next door turn on the faucet the force goes from 10 to 1.2. It seems like we had some neighbors that might've have had too much to drink, We took our 3 yr old and the constant noise from near by room just kept on waking him up all night. Over all I say the room was pretty neat and clean.

Great stay. Staff that is passionate about their guests and the hotel. Rooms are updated and comfortable, high quality sheets/ down comforter and very clean and well maintained. Special thanks to our bellman Frank K who gave us the hotel tour and recommend the rooftop bar (which was great) and Andre S who had our car ready as soon as we came down. Finally, the staff was aware my wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and sent up a very nice bottle of champagne. We will definitely be back.

Very nice hotel to stay in Times Square. Had a wonderful time and not one moment did I or my wife worry about our room or belongings. They cleaned and made our beds every morning if we chose to. And in the evening they did have a turned down service which was complimentary. Hotel room was clean, very roomy, nice bed, and plenty of room for 2-3 people. Would stay again if I could. Would be nice if the fridge was bigger to put some personal drinks or whatever we chose to get while out n about. Overall 4 stars.

Great location at Time square. Service was outstanding. Everyone went out of their way to make sure everything was just how we wanted it. We stayed in the third floor facing Time square and the shades made it very dark in the room, the windows were extremely thick and made the room very quiet. The beds are very entry comfortable. The roof top bar was nice as well. Great atmosphere with views of Time square. Overall we would definitely stay there again.

Initially gave 4 now reducing to 1. I see three charges for the room on my card in pending. No, its not for anything else, its for the same room same visit. I am sure it will fix itself but it's blocking my credit limit and may impact my credit score. The room prices aren't cheap guys. I get it it's new york but why would you not charge the corporate card. Service was good and Room was also good. Also you have the access to rooftop with good view.

Went to the rooftop bar for a social event. Food was ok and the service was a little slow. However, the view of times square and the festive atmosphere was fantastic. Since I was a guest, I don't know what the costs were, but it was a great gathering place for a group of 20.

Great ambiance with an outstanding rooftop bar. The upscale vibe hits you as soon as you walk through the door. The elevators get quite crowded as patrons go up to the rooftop bar. I look forward to staying here just by the service I received as a guest at the bar. The location is great and is convenient from anywhere in Manhattan.

We stayed here last year when we were attending an event at the Javits Center for work. The location was great but some of the service was lacking and a bit frustrating. When I mentioned it to a previous manager, she let me know that if they could help us make our next stay better, don't hesitate to call… So when it came time for our stay again this year, I decided to give them another shot. I'm glad to say I did. Our stay with them was A+++. The manager I worked with, Titus, gave us an awesome rate and upgraded rooms, and the staff from check in through check out were excellent. I really appreciate them going the extra mile, and I would stay there again, no question.

Great hotel and location! The rooms are modern and clean. Even tho it's in a busy location, the rooms were very quiet. The roof top bar is nice and provides a good view. The staff is also very friendly. We had a corner room but it was facing an alley, so the view wasn't great. Overall great stay!

Excellent modern rooms, helpful but unobtrusive staff, and an upscale elegant feel make you forget the nearby chaos of Times Square. I booked a group of rooms for a business meeting and the process was easy while my guests were happy. Win win. Rates seemed like an excellent value. I would definitely book again.

Our stay at the Knickerbocker was bittersweet. We had booked and paid for 8 nights at another hotel nearby (Row NYC) and upon check-in, were told that our room had been sold to another guest and we were to be transferred. It was 2am by the time we arrived at the Knickerbocker and we were exhausted, hungry and irritable. The comparison of service offered at this hotel to the Row was incredible. We were greeted by the door staff, our bags taken directly to our room, seated at the check-in desk and offered water. The staff were so attentive and friendly and we felt like we were truly being looked after. The room was beautiful, clean and spacious. Despite only having one bed for my friend and I, it was so spacious and comfortable that it didn't matter. We were given a delicious complimentary breakfast in the morning. It was a difficult place to leave! I'd highly recommend this hotel.

After it's recent reopening I can easily say that the Knickerbocker is a fantastic stay near times square. The rooms are elegant and spacious; the staff is energetic, helpful, and accommodating; the location is merely a stones throw from Bryant park and Times Square and the subway can take you anywhere you want to go and back with minimal walking from stop to hotel.

Great location. Family friendly. We stayed 3 nights and tried to take in as much of New York as we could. At the end of the day we couldn't wait to get back to the hotel. No noise issues, great staff, and very good to our 3 kids. Comfortable and relaxing.

First time staying here for work. Great location for Midtown. Close to Times Square but not too close to be surrounded by tourists. Elegant and understated decor and very nice rooms. I didn't really like the very "plump" pillows but my work colleague thought they were superb. Each to their own I guess. Wasn't going to detract from a 5 star review.

Big room, especially by NYC standards. Huge shower and w/c but nit a ton of room at vanity. Nice minibar. Comfy beds. Breakfast buffet was fine but overpriced.

Hotel very recent vocation urbanite in full Times Square. Their terrace is spectacular.

The location is ideal for exploring New York being used right on Times Square. The rooms are fantastic and show off the new modern, and updated style of the Knick and the service has been exemplary. We were shown to our room by Tony who made us feel welcome and provided information that we would never have found out otherwise. All in all a superb experience.

Friendly staff. Competitive rates. Dark, modern, sterile, lifeless, gloomy interior paint scheme and furnishings of the lobby, elevators, and restaurant do not at all match the history and spirit of this hotel. This is supposed to be a lively place, not a futuristic funeral home. Also, the "zen" design bathroom in room looked very cool, but afforded no privacy. The disruptive noise from the service elevators and the cleaning staff every morning of our stay was far louder than anything we heard coming from Times Square. We received a total of three confused phone calls from the front desk during out stay (each time, the staff was calling the wrong room). The hotel's saving grace is the location. You cannot beat this location in the heart of Times Square and near the theater district.

All was well above excellent… except for the rooftop bar not being open on Sat night! Also, the hotel driver, Nicholas Theofanis was more than perfect. Many thanks to him.

My husband and I had a 4 day stay at the Knickerbocker Hotel. The accommodations were first class. Minor room issues with the television. After 3 days the issue was resolved. The hotel is a block away from Times Square. The roof top bar gives you an excellent view of Times Square. The hotel is walking distance from Broadway. The rooms, the location and the service provided by Mr. Saye Kokeh, Rooms Division, makes this a must stay hotel. The property is newly renovated and we highly recommend this hotel. You will not be disappointed.

What an awesome hotel this was! We were upgraded to a junior corner suite which was very spacious and relaxing — I enjoyed the modern style of the room and the washroom setup, very efficient if there are a few people staying with you! (you can shower while someone else can use the toilet, both have sliding doors) the tablet was a very nice touch however I didn't find myself using it much since there is free Wi-Fi in the room. Also, free water/soft drinks. It's these little details that can make or break your stay at a hotel — definitely a step above the usual chains. The only drawback: the view. Unfortunately I had the worst view I could ever imagine, some sort of alleyway with a building not even 2 meters away. But that's alright, being in Times Square you'll only be in the room to sleep!
