I love this little jewel box of a hotel. Close enough to theaters, restaurants, shopping, museums, city parks and excitement. Quiet rooms, updated so everything feels clean and fresh. Helpful and friendly staff. No restaurant or breakfast bar but within walking distance to great restaurants and over the counter restaurants of all types. A Whole Foods nearby and great transportation around the corner.

From check in to check out the staff was friendly Andrew attentive to all our needs. Special recognition to Sophia from the front desk and Willie/jimmy from the lobby door luggage area. They went above and beyond.

Hands down best hotel! Perfectly located near everything you can imagine as a tourist, yet tucked a small amount away from the hustle and bustle of Fifth Avenue. Room is small however your in NYC what else do you expect Pricing was great especially where we were located. Hands down best staff ever! Especially Jonathan at the front desk! So kind and willing to share what to eat and see that wasn’t on my list. I wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else the next time I come into the city! Thank you again for everything! My first weekend in NYC did not disappoint!

The location is good and strategic. Closed to shopping area. And easy to find food.

Great value and location. High floors are spacious and quiet. Staff was very friendly. Only two elevators but waits where not as bad as one would expect. Small workout room and Starbucks coffee machine on second floor.

Despite being an Elite member of the Marriott rewards club and a fairly regular visitor to their sites I believe I was given the worst room they had. I thought the guy was doing me a favor by changing my 2 queen bed room to a king. I was wrong. The blinds did not work and could not be opened The TV failed unless angled just right. There was very little water pressure. It was dark and poorly furnished. The bed was very uncomfortable. I could keep going …

Great service. We were able to get an early check in as well as a late check out. Rooms were nice and clean. Location was very convenient.

The location was perfect! Walking distance to Grand Central station, the empire State building, Bryant park, Rockefeller plaza, times square, and more. The room and bathroom was very clean and my visit was very enjoyable. The front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone looking to experience New York City!

Heavy construction across the street. No breakfast or snack area. Tub did not drain.

The location is great with short distance to many of the highlights of New York, but especially the bathroom was not all up to date. The hotwater pressure in the shower was lousy, and the toilet paper holder was useless. There were only one soap bar when we arrived, but the next day, we also got shampoo etc. We asked for a room with a view, but all we saw was directly into an office building (but this is probably as excpected). However, the room was quiet and spacious enough and we got some good nights of sleep.

When we arrived Willie greeted us with a big smile. He was so very friendly and always had good suggestions on where to go, where to eat and what to see. Gave us a map highlighting our hotel location so we never got lost. He was so helpful and kind.

Central midtown hotel just off the corner of Bryant Park. The rooms are clean and tidy, although they are looking very tired and in need of a refurbishment. Be aware that there is a construction site opposite the hotel with a new building going up. Construction starts around 6:30/7am. Ok If you are staying here on business and you are up and out early. If you are looking leisurely lie in, then this is not the place to choose.

The location of the hotel is great. Very central to many of the sights with a number of subway stops for different lines nearby. The rooms are small, do keep that in mind. I had booked a room specifically for three guests, but the hotel only provided two towels, would have thought they would be a bit more organized. We had arrived at the hotel really early after a red eye flight and understand that we can't always check in early. I had asked the hotel if it was possible to give us a call when the room was ready and the front desk staff said it would be alright and took my number. I never got a phone call. Would have preferred if they told us they can't do this if that was the case.

Nice location and newly refurbished rooms. I was here in November 2017 and they were partly under construction. Things were a bit noisy but overall a positive experience. Close walk to world trade center and other hot spots like the Westfield mall.

Staff was very friendly. The rooms were very small. We were upgraded and it included a couch and sitting area, and it was bigger but just average size compared to rooms outside of N. Y. The hotel was comfortable and very clean. Which is very important to me.

Room has a semi strange smell, not a big enough problem to warrant moving rooms. Lower floors are really really noisy but 21st floor and above are nice and quite depending on the guests. All the amenities are great but altogether pretty basic.

Very cold in the rooms. But the location is great.

Pros: clean, comfortable, great location. Cons: most of the staff was unfriendly, thin walls, no mini fridge (we had a bottle of white wine and some cheese that we wanted to keep cold), service was extremely slow. To elaborate on slow service, we had them hold our luggage for few hours and when we wanted it back, it took about 20 minutes for them to get it for us while we were waiting in the lobby. On another occasion we asked if we could borrow a cork screw, we were told they would bring it right up. After about 25 minutes I decided to go to the lobby and pick one up myself, but was told that they were bringing it to our room and that they could not give me one while I was in the lobby. About 10 minutes later someone dropped it off at our room… It would have been much quicker for me to walk to a nearby CVS and buy my own corkscrew.

Friendly staff. Rooms are small as you'd expect in NYC, but clean and comfortable. There is a Starbucks right next door and the hotel has free coffee and tea but it would be nice to have some sort of lounge area to get away from the room. Oh well, it's NYC so get out and explore! Lots of nearby restaurants, subway is very close at Bryant Park or Grand Central. Easy, short walk from Grand Central. Empire State building, times square, Rockefeller center and Central Park are all easily within walking distance. Library is less than a block away. We've stayed here twice and were satisfied both times.

Small room. Nice wide window with a cool view though. Wish we could have made the room a little warmer seeing how cold it was over New Years Eve. Free coffee station downstairs was nice. And a Starbucks right next door. Nice people at the desk. Slow elevators could have just been a result of the busy weekend.

Great spot right in the middle of the happenings. The library and Grand Central are right around the corner and hotel staff members are the best. This is our new go-to place in the City.

The location is extraordinary, very convenient to all the most visited places and the Metro, also excellent for work as a zone. It is very very old though, rooms and common spaces have remained as they were decades ago.

I am a loyal Marriott guest but this hotel gives Marriott a bad name. First the staff in the lobby (very small space) is more interested in looking down at their phones when you walk in an out than greeting you or acknowledging you for the last 3 days straight Then at 8:58 this morning housekeeper knocks on the door and wakes us up to see if we are still here. Not only is normal check out at 11:00 but we have requested a late checkout at 4:00 which the front desk knows about but the rude housekeeper said they don’t get informed. Unbelievable. Not happy. This hotel is not up to Marriott standard we are used to. AMENDMENT: I spoke with the Asst GM after housekeeping lady was continuing to be rude and he was understanding and patient (and appalled I assume). Today was his first day having transferred from the Weston Marriott. Poor guy.

The rooms are small and ours didn't have a great view. However it's centrally located to all of NYC's best attractions. The staff are pleasant and Starbucks is next door. Loving the convenience.

Nice rooms, but a bit small. Was hoping for a pool. The staff was exceptionally nice and knowledgeable. I liked that they allowed for early check in (about 3 hours early) and complied with my request for extra pillows, which were already waiting in tje room when I checked in.

Stayed overnight for meetings the following day. Check in was quick and simple. Room was clean, smelled nice, and very quiet. Internet was quick which was great for working on the go. Thesis hotel didn't offer breakfast, but there was a Starbucks just outside the front and several places for food within walking distance. Would stay here again.

I stayed here for work in July on one of the hottest days of the summer. I had a family member with me who had health issues so we checked in early and I literally had to run 5 blocks down 5th Avenue for a meeting minutes later. I can't remember the name of the young man who checked me in, but what a true gentleman. He was kind, courteous and truly meant it when he asked if there was absolutely anything he could do to help me out. While I was out at my meeting my sister made her way back downstairs and sat in the lobby watching people. Due to the heat outside she was afraid to stroll too far from the hotel, and whenever he had a few free moments he would chat with my sister about this being her first time in NYC. He made sure she was at ease and made her feel very comfortable just not being alone and having something to do while she waited for me in the lobby. This type of personal customer service is why I keep returning to this hotel. The rooms are great, and it's in a wonderful location, but it's the staff that make me want to bring my business back here.

The room was tight and overpriced. A responsive and professional staff work here. Overall, it was a good experience.

Elevators are the slowest I've ever experienced and they continued to break down during our stay. Currently stuck in one now going on 15 minutes! Another negative — no refrigerators in the room; you have to order one to be delivered.

Very good location Small room for 4 people. Good bedding comfort and good cleanliness. Breakfast included taken in a trade next door which is frankly not up to the height of where a star in less.

Great location! Park, subway, Broadway and Grand Central all within 5 minutes walk. I will definitely stay here again. Added bonus nice gym with A/C.

Small hotel. Small rooms. But not too bad. Fairly centrally located. Good side is there is a Starbucks right on the first floor.

Elevators were broken when we arrived, so my wife and I trekked up double digit flights of stairs with our luggage after arriving at 1 in the morning. When the elevators finally worked again, they were slower than I could believe. Hot water worked the first night, but took an afternoon shower the next day and couldn't get it over cool/slightly lukewarm. Room was nice, and very comfortable, and location is great. Just not as nice an experience as I'm used to with Marriott.

We arrived tired at 2 am just to tell us that the parts were on-sold… although we solved the problem of all ways we had a rough time.

The location is perfect to walk around and meet NYC. Simple rooms and limpiss and very friendly staff.

Super neat clean room, comfy beds, quiet room at the back of hotel. Perfect location for Times Square, Grand central station, subway to Ground zero cheap & quick. Macy's great for bargains. Steam boat to view Statue of Liberty very cold but worth it. Hotel staff fantastic. ✈️ Newark airport everyone helpful — return bus journey $56 for 2 people. … Great location to celebrate 21st birthday fabulous cocktails at Applebee's Times Square.

Excellent location, front desk staff (Odain) especially helpful. First room was small and got moved straight away with no issues.

Room is small and very loud plus bathroom not very clean. Front desk says they'll fix the problem tomorrow. Wow if they treat their gold and platinum customers this way would hate to just walk in and book a room. Do not stay on lower floor. Rooms are extremely noisy from elevator and road noise. Probably not much rest tonight.

So so Courtyard. Location is ok. I prefer other Courtyards in the city.

Great location. Close to Grand Central and Bryant Park and a short walk to Times Square. Sophia at the front desk was excellent. She was very personable and answered all our questions. We are Platinum Elite members and were given bottled waters every day of our stay. Willie, the bell hop, was so friendly and took care of our luggage and car before we were able to check in. The room was nice and clean. Great place to stay!

Nice staff and excellent location. Small bedroom but was ok and clean. No refrigerator in room Just a place to sleep. The price is high but if you can get an offer is a good place to stay.
