I found this great hotel on Expedia and I'm so happy I did. 👍👍💯😃 They opened back up for business two days before my stay and the entire hotel was spotless. Rahman at check-in was super friendly and selected a great room for me. The king room was HUGE! Tall ceilings, a view of the Chrysler Building, and great amenities. At checkout, Jasmine was also super friendly, and everything was a breeze from start to finish. The location can't be beat! A quiet street just off Park Avenue, easy access to Grand Central, Bryant Park, the library, and anything you could want in Manhattan. 10 out of 10 from me and I will gladly stay there again each time I'm in New York! 😃

Unfortunately our flights from the UK had been cancelled due to Coronavirus. Expedia said that they would not be able to refund us for the hotel, however, we contacted this establishment and they were very understanding and approved a full refund. Amazing customer service and we are extremely grateful. We are planning to finally have our dream trip in 2021 and will definitely be booking this hotel!

Most convenient, pleasant accommodations in the city. Close to Grand Central and Pershing. Nothing disappointed us in service and met all our needs.

Put a hold on my card as a deposit for my stay and one month later still hasn’t cancelled the hold! Will not recommend as they haven’t addressed the issue despite numerous emails.

My son and I stayed in July the front desk staff was wonderful. Remember you us we bought the Nintendo switch. You were telling us about the rich people train and poor people train. Loved our stay they need a new air conditioner tho kind of hot but the outdoor temps were up near 100 degrees I will stay again.

The hotel isn't a decent location, but needs a I refit. On the other hand, the steakhouse that serves as the primary restaurant is really, really good. A lot of sincerity. Just need to spend some time doing updating.

We really liked this hotel, especially because of its location. It only gets 5 minutes to walk to the Grand Central Terminal and the Chrysler Building. The breakfast was really tasty (and kinda fancy too). We couldn't really see anything from the windows since our room was pointed at other buildings, but this was not a big problem to our visit. Would recommend for 5 stars, mostly for its close proximity to the city center.

Fantastic location, average hotel. The beds were extremely uncomfortable — bouncy with springs poking into your back. The room looked pretty dingy too. The front desk staff were kind but they were slow to respond to our request for items to be dropped off at the room. The first night the items didn't arrive and we had to call again the next day. Rather frustrating. Definitely not a four star hotel like advertised. The price of the rooms were way too high for what you actually get. They need to buy new beds and upgrade the rooms!

The hotel has been extensively renovated and looks gorgeous. Our room didn't have the best view as we were on a lower floor but the inside is great. The washroom is large, clean and well lit. The bed was comfortable and we can control the temperature as we see fit. No breakfast included but they have a partnership with the restaurant next door for a 19.95 discounted breakfast and if you want cheaper options this is New York — walk 5 feet and you'll find a place to eat!

Quiet, clean, and comfortable. Some spots are showing their age, but there is nothing wrong with that. Location is close to many major attractions, great restaurants, and entertainment venues. Views are not so great, but I didn't expect to see the city from my room.

Very nice little boutique hotel just a block from the center of the universe! Sometimes has very good last-minute room deals.

Fantastic location and nice room. Amenities didn't include much but for midtown Manhattan the price and value was great.

The drinks were good and the price w as okay. A little expensive for what it was. They should introduce a better happy hour.

Could not recommend this hotel highly enough. Just back home after spending 9 nights here and top marks for location, size of room and amenities. Staff unfailingly polite and really helpful… we're already planning our return. Thanks for making our stay so memorable.

It is my first terrible review as this hotel is really a motel standard with five stars prices. We paid over $200 to get a luxury room. But this is what we got as photos. Bed sheet is not cleaned properly, toilet ring stain, night stand dirty and window opens to a office building around 10 feet away. Guys seriously consider before coming.

A quaint hotel with large size rooms and very good service. The plus is the restaurant downstairs called The Benjamin and the friendly service all round. The downside is the rooms need a renovation and the climate control is weak (so don't stay here if it's going to be extremely hot or cold)

Amazing experience. I booked a room with one bed for me and a friend to stay for 4 nights, and as soon as the hotel reception noticed that this was our plan they gave us a free upgrade for a room with 2 beds so we are more comfortable. Staff was beyond accommodating and respectful. Room was clean and spacious. Overall it was a very comfortable stay and I recommend everyone to stay here as an affordable and enjoyable experience.

Roomrate was great, buy a bit higher based on the condition of our room. We had a king executive, but there were iron burns in multiple spots on the floor and the overall cleanliness was on par with a Best Western, even though we had to wait over two hours to actually get in our room; not really something we wanted to share with our toddler. With that said, my wife and I would stay again on a couples trip to the city.

Very nice room and bathroom. They let us check in at 9am on a Saturday and even had a room ready. We were also able to leave our bags for most of the day on Sunday. Overall very impressed for a small hotel.

Great location! However, the Hotel is a bit run down. There are stained carpets. Linens and towels aren‘t crisp either. Windows doesn’t close properly. The staff is friendly and does its best to help. For all what it is it is quite pricey!

The location of the hotel is perfect, just next to the public library, on a less busy street with less noise. The staff always treated us perfectly, trying to help out as much as we could. The rooms are wide and the bathroom has everything you need. A good place for a stay in NYC.

The room itself was not too bad. It was clean. There were water stains on the ceiling but I'm thinking it was from the fact that the laundry was right above our room. All we heard the whole time we were in the room was rolling laundry baskets rolling back and forth. It was so loud. The staff was also very rude. I never said anything to them about the noise or anything. They just had a general attitude about them.

To the hotel I can not say much, but the staff is incredibly friendly, helpful and very fair. I moved to another hotel for personal reasons, and I was not charged a dime. Thank you again for so much friendliness!

Do not let the pictures fool you! We put the a/c on cool to get rid of the stuffiness in the room before we left. When we got back our room was 94 degrees! It felt like a sauna! Apparently the fan or cool setting doesn't work and there is no auto shut off. The unit just blows hot air. No one said anything ahead of time and there is no sign posted. When we picked up the phone to call the front desk the phone didn't work either! We finally got a fan to help bring the heat down. Pay the extra money and stay somewhere else!

I loved my stay here. Staff was incredibly nice. Great amenities and very clean! Valet is incredibly helpful with the expensive parking in New York as well. Will definitely stay here again.

First the good. It was clean. The staff was very friendly. Now the bad. Room 306. DON'T STAY! The room was very hot so they told me to open the window. The only problem was that the window was overlooking an air shaft with the Hotels air handlers. Every 5 minutes they would circle on, then 5 minutes later off. ALL NIGHT LONG! The shower had 2 temperatures, cold and not cold (but not hot, just very very warm). It could have been that all guests were taking showers at the same time. I don't know. The only lock on the door was a chain lock. Very flimsy.

Hotel decentrated from the central and chaotic Street, new room, comfortable and clean, bathroom with shower more than spacious (missing the water brush), TV, large wardrobe, fridge, ironing board and free iron. Free and working Wi-Fi everywhere in the Hotel, staff discreet and polite. Only sin the "smarty" in booking us a private taxi and not an officer for the return trip to the airport. We had to discuss and threaten the driver who wanted to add us extra unagreed costs. Great location as at 200 m from Central Station, 200 m from Bryant Park and 600mt from Times Square, pretty much in Midtown Manhattan.

Sat with hotel clerk to for about an hour and a half after being on the road for hours. Secondly the reservation we made said our room would be 277 plus tax when we checked in our total was 346! The rooms where tremendously small and need to be modernized (All the outlets where on the other side of the room from the bed). They also mad us pay $50 for parking and $19 for breakfast, which is somewhat reasonable but not good hospitality. It took the staff 4 hours to bring us ice, because there aren't ice machines on their floors. Overall bad experience.

The staff at Dylan Hotel was very friendly & accommodating. They helped us with our tour bus passes & told us where we had to go to get them. I was a very eventful stay. Their housekeeping staff was very efficient & we enjoyed our stay.

By NYC standards, rooms were spacious! Bathroom & bed linen were very clean and comfy. Staff were courteous, professional with quick response time. Extremely accesible to train station… will definitely stay here again.

Good location, very close to the Grand Central, with nice restaurants nearby. Very quiet, bedroom with a good size and all appliances working well. Could have more accessible power outlets and beverages in the refrigerator (it was empty/off). Receives packages for guests prior to arrival, without extra cost.

Very nice hotel. The pillow, the quilt, the bed were awesome I slepet like a king! Great staff, nice and clean rooms. Great room cleaning as well! This hotel have got some really bad reviews but I do not agree with any off them. Next time I'm in New York I will stay on this hotel again. Also the location were the hotel is is so good, you Can walk to almost everything!

Not exceptional, service is limited to the reception. No bathrobes or slippers in the room.
I expected better considering the price and the number of stars.
For the positive side: good location and fairly quiet room.

This is a small boutique hotel with a lot of style. The decor is very high end and the rooms are cozy but nice. My company has a corporate rate deal there, so the rate for the room, considering the location next to the NY Library and Park is a really great deal. My only wish is that the water pressure in the showers be a bit better. But overall a good experience, will stay there again.

Central structure, in 10 minutes walk you get anywhere. Nice and clean The rooms (at least ours) maybe a little small but cozy. Bathroom and general cleanliness are not the maximum however all in all okay. Normal breakfast without pretensions and friendlier staff, always available for any clarification or request. Overall value for money is great considering it is located in great area. I hope to return anyway.

My wife and I had a wonderful time at Dylan! The room was cozy and the bed very comfortable. The staff did a great job accommodating our needs and were very friendly.

Hotel good but not great, definitely not comparable to a 4 star Italian, avoid the breakfast too expensive in my opinion.

This is a hotel with small rooms for the US but we had a great time here. The service we received was great and the location was perfect for us. Breakfast is not included in the room rate and us very expensive, we used a pret around the corner. The attached steak house was very good, with attentive service and good drink options. We would happily stay here again.

We stayed two nights at Dylan Hotel in their most atypical room. The décor, the welcome and the location were perfect.

Beautiful interior and very kind staff. The air conditioner of the room might have been a bit faulty, but otherwise we are very satisfied with the experience.

It was quite expensive paid around $240 for a night. Booked from groupon didn't have enough time to find other hotel and we are really tired but room was really good. Dec 2014

Good view, cozy rooms. Very modern and chic. Definitely would recommend, close to grand central and reasonably priced. Easy to miss between all the office buildings.

704 Stayed for one night. Great place. Mod look. A/C won't go below 68.

I booked a room at the Dylan Hotel on Priceline. The location is less than a block from my company's office on Madison so for me the location is great. There are a lot of places to eat around the area as well. The room was much larger than I was expecting. It was clean and well kept. Check in and out was fast and the staff was courtesy and friendly.

One of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. They've refused to change bookings despite a pending blizzard and eventually hung up on me. Never go to this place ever. The star rating overall is certainly inflated.

Didn't like it. Stay was extremely unpleasant due to A/C not working in any of the hotel rooms. We were not notified when we checked in that evening. Unacceptable. The service was horrible from staff. Breakfast was alright, and rooms were mediocre at best. Thus hotel needs more improvements in management, service, and ambiance. The A/C problem was simply the worst. Unacceptable @ any hotel. They say "the engineer will be here tomorrow morning" during our first night Engineer never arrived, at least for the rest of our stay there. An engineer should be coming immediately anytime, not the next morning. That's not "4 star" grade at all.

Location location location. We just came back from a 3 day trip to NY. The hotel was excellent and the front desk staff the best. Thanks Brian, Juan and everybody there that helped us when we were there. Priscila.

Strategic place, just minutes from times teams and tourist bus stops that tour the city. Very cozy property with very large rooms.

Good Staff… Nice Location but did not like the hotel ambiance and rooms at all and would not stay here.

Very friendly reception staff and which I attended at the reception was polyglot, spacious room, free Wi-Fi connection, somewhat worn but clean toilet, dinner one night the restaurant "delicious" Benjamin, near grand central station, he would return.

Not happy at all with the customer service at the hotel. When I called the hotel the first 2 times, I was placed on hold for 20 minutes before speaking with someone. It seems like they have an outdated phone and reservations system with only 1 person answering the lines. When I finally reached the front desk to change my reservation dates, the front desk person sounded annoyed and in a hurry and said that he wasn't able to modify it in the system. I was directed to send an email to the front desk and the front desk manager, which I promptly did. Since I did not get a response in the first 24 hours I forwarded it again and requested a confirmation that the email was received (I sent 3 subsequent emails). 3 days later I called to find out if the reservation had been updated and it was not. The front desk person said that she'll get the manager to do it and when I requested to speak to him, he told her that he wasn't able to deal with it and that he'll take care of it later. Amateur hour — if this is their customer service to just change the reservation dates, I'm leery of staying there. Definitely cancelling my stay there. If only I could get someone on the line that is able to help me. What kind of archaic system do they have to run that hotel? All thumbs down.

Not a four star hotel. Not sure who they paid off to get that rating. Plumbing fixtures in the bathroom were practically falling off. Reserved a king room but was unavailable come check-in time. We checked in really early so they clearly gave away our room well in advance of us arriving. Hotel was OK at best.

Decent price. Doesn't really look like picture. Smaller rooms, banged up walls, yellow stains on my comforter. I left a sweater and housekeeping took it I assume, because I know exactly where it was left and they claimed that housekeeping hadn't found anything. Do not leave anything behind! The restaurant is really good, overall. Not so great experience.

A fine time is how we felt about this hotel. It was trendy and clean. The view was not a selling point but the location was! There was a feeling of cleanliness that my girlfriend and I agreed upon. The moments we shared there were special as we were catching up on life and especially, guys! There were no problems at all with anything at the hotel. Parking, on the other hand, was a bit of a cost and schlep, but that is midtown for ya.

We were travel of boyfriend, I expected something different the truth.

All in all a good Hotel… It has the problems of 90% of Ny hotels, but I must say that the professionalism of the staff and the quality of the property are certainly worth my next stay in this hotel.
Clean rooms, tidy, medium size, I would say also quiet (compared to other hotels), but above all; Very centrally located for walking and taxis. Very close to the station, the Super Street, and Madison. Great site for shopping and sightseeing.
Basically recommended at all but look for offers,,,,,

Grand Central station with subway around the corner; Times Square, Central Park, Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center walking quickly away. Super Steakhouse in the House — — > Benjamin Steakhouse! We will go again on our next trip to NY in the Dylan.
