Review of Mint House at 70 Pine 4*

Stayed for two weeks with my husband and 2 year old daughter. What a beautiful place. We loved it. The building is an 1930s skyscaper and they have retained the lobby in it's original glory. Just loved the art deco features. The building is partly residential and 3 floors of hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. They were so quick to answer any questions I had via email before we got there and once there if we had any issues. Eg. Light not working. We called and within …minutes someone was there. The rooms look just like the photos on the website and are very spacious. King size comfy bed, full kitchen and large fridge and a bathroom with a bath. We stayed in an executive room which also has a study nook and walk in robe. The study room was perfect as a bedroom for our 2 year old and they supplied a crib/cot free of charge. The room has everything you need to live comfortably and it was great having the kitchen and full size fridge and small dining area to prepare meals on nights we just wanted to stay in or pick up takeaway. You will find some fabulous gourmet supermarkets close with daily made fresh and ready to go buffet style food which makes it easy to stay in after a long day of sightseeing. (Fulton street Market, Zeytuna, Jubilee) Included with your stay they supply a help yourself breakfast on the 3rd floor which consists of muffins, crossiants, fruit, coffee and tea. Also in the building you will find The Black Fox coffee shop located in the lobby area of the building and it has some great almond crossiants. Wall Street subway station is across the street. 15 mins on the train gets you uptown. Downtown is a really great area to stay in with bars, restaurants, diners, gourmet supermarkets, pharmacys, South Street Seaport, Century 21 department store, new world trade centre, One World Observatory, Battery Park, Stone Street, Staten Island Ferry, Brookfield Place, Brooklyn Bridge, Eataly and Wall Street — just to list a few things — all within close walking distance.
