Reviews of voco Times Square South, an IHG Hotel 3*
Good for what we wanted… priced reasonably for NYC. Great location! Great service! Extremely small rooms and narrow hallways… pack light! Queen beds were actually doubles. Breakfast was ok… but service made up where the food lacked. Valet parked our car for $55 per day. Breakfast was included in the price of our stay. I would recommend bringing an extra towel from home… only gave us 3 for 5 people, we didnt ask for more. We would stay here again.
Location is great for midtown attractions. Street construction made it slow to get a car. Staff was great. Neighborhood offers plenty to do.
Staff was really great, the building could use a little help, nice but a bit worn, possibly due to nearby construction, but then most of Manhattan has nearby construction. It bears repeating that the staff, from the room attendant to the front desk, and the restaurant, were all very hospitable and helpful with neighborhood recommendations. They were real pros.
Smallest rooms I've ever seen, especially for $300 per night. Don't forget the $50 plus extra in taxes and fees. No parking, that's $55 a night extra at a private lot about a block away. The room carpet was dirty. Under the beds hadn't been vacuumed in months. My wife got a sinus infection during our week long stay. Notified the front desk and they said they would get it vacuumed, but that never happened. The breakfast is really mediocre at best. The water was turned off daily from 8 to 4 during our visit. The hotel couldn't necessarily help that, but they could have compensated us for the inconvenience. We really couldn't fully use the room. The positive. Staff was very nice, and the location pretty good. Won't stay again though.
A very pleasant and welcoming hotel… The staff very engaging and polite, the restaurant for breakfast is spacious and well stocked. The concerns that we had heard/read regarding the elevators seems to us to be unfounded alongside the size of the rooms… Very little waiting time on the elevators max 5 mins to the 21 floor. The room is cosy, granted not massive but suits our needs very well. Sleep/shower and plan our day. What more do you need after all we are visiting NYC!
Very comfortable stay (overnight) on a business trip. Hotel is located in the heart of times Square and close to all things that makes times Square popular. Neat and clean setup of rooms and with all basic amenities. The room has basic bathroom toiletries, safe, ironing board, TV with cable coffee maker etc. Breakfast is not included in the price but superb setup for the price you pay. You can choose from buffet breakfast and also order warm food from ala carte. All in all a great experience and highly recommended!
We stayed here for a week! The location is strategic. All very close. Good cleanliness and the King bed is really comfortable! Large and spacious Shower. In The room there is the American coffee maker and the fridge. In Some corridors you can catch ice and water. When We arrived we were given two bottles of water and two excellent cookies. The Staff was very helpful I did Not give 5 stars because on the first day we arrived the WC, the edge of the toilet, was not perfectly clean and this House gave me very fastidioma just check! And then I advise you to pay attention in payments, when we booked, by booking, we were credited twice the amount, fortunately we then resolved. Then when we checked out twice we were credited an amount not due. In Short, some incompetent in administration anyway recommended!
The rooms are small like most NYC hotels, but not cramped. Everything was clean and insect free and our room featured a small fridge which was handy. The furniture is dated compared to the lobby, but the bed was comfy and housekeeping was reliable and attentive. The location is ideal and the hot cookies keep coming, but there's better breakfast options nearby, so skip the continental option.
We probably weren't quite familiar with the "New York standard, " otherwise the whole hotel would certainly not have surprised us so negatively …
The rooms are mega small — the pictures on the internet (grade from their side) were then probably photographed with a fish eye lens or similar.
All tight and very well used …
So we had asked for an allergy ratchet bed wry when booking and that apparently was not passed on — instead of having to fix that as a good service provider quickly and easily my husband and I had to take several times to the reception and inquire. In the end, the staff informed us that they had no longer handed over bedding … Another solution was not sought, so it was completely carried out on our back and it wasn't until the next day that the new blankets came. We would have loved to go to a new hotel, but had wanted to spare my elderly mother the stress.
To stay not quite as negative — the cookies were delicious and the location was great.
Nice staff. Hotel outdated. Beds great. Rooms outdated and view not sparkling. Otherwise central location.
Very central. Nice place and very friendly reception.
Mixed. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Excellent hotel in every way. The only thing is that you hear a lot of street noise. Clean and very well maintained rooms. I would go back again without hesitation.
Hotel clean and room big enough.
Very tactical position, it is behind Time Square.
I want to give this hotel a fair review, but I want consumers to know the truth as well. My family members and I spent four nights in this hotel in April of 2018. The hotel is in a great location in Manhattan! We loved how the location made it easy for us to see NYC and it's attractions. The staff were truly wonderful, they were always attentive and helpful. They offered free cookies anytime you asked, including gluten free cookies. My family and I loved that. Kudos to the great staff! The building itself was a little run down. The rooms are very small, which I guess is the norm in Manhattan. But be prepared for that, if you are accustomed to more spacious accommodations. One of our rooms had a slight unpleasant odor the whole time we were there, maybe a past pretty odor. The other room was fine. The room service ladies worked hard, and the place was clean enough. The most unpleasant thing was not the fault of the hotel or its employees. There are a couple of larger construction projects next to and across from this hotel. This caused a lot of noise at night and in the early morning, which made it hard to sleep at times. I'm giving them four stars because I think their employees are doing their best with what they have. I might suggest that you ask for a room that is not on the street, because of the noise issue.
I have absolutely no complaints. The concierge staff was wonderful and helped out with everything we needed, including making our way around the city. The bartenders were awesome, drinks made well. Room wad cleaned everyday, the day we were in the room they still changed towels, took trash, etc. Anything needed they made sure to handle efficiently. It was overall a very pleasant experience and we would definitely stay again.
Rooms quite small but almost normal for a standard room. Since you want to discover New York, not relevant anyway and perfectly sufficient for these purposes.
+ Bed was very large and super comfortable.
We slept every night, like a stone.
+ Heating was super fast warm.
+ room Service has made all the tip top clean with us every day.
+ Breakfast I found perfectly sufficient, perhaps could have been a bit more varied, since every day the same selection. But still good.
+ Fitness room included + Wi-Fi childcare + very central location + subway just around the corner.
The night crew was so kind! Lost my luggage, from detoured flight, due to weather, and they helped with retrieval. I agree the shower could have been cleaned a bit more but, overall… Great place! Great people!
I've been here several times over the past few years. Not once have both elevators worked. Wait times for the one working elevator can extend upwards of 20 minutes. Plan on the stairs. Rooms are small, fine. Mostly clean. Staff is very friendly. Fridge in room didn't work. Don't bother checking in online, the room you choose (at least for me) has never been available.
Nice hotel. It exceeded my expectations. Cheap for the service you deliver. Good cleanliness. Comfortable beds and good breakfast.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, saving this from being a one star review. Apart from that, my room was unacceptable. There was a door to the outside with the knob removed, leaving a half inch hole to pour cold air into the room. The door led to a patio restaurant or bar that was not in use. The shades did not cover the windows so I don't see how there's any privacy when the bar/restaurant is operational. The heater was at hip height, meaning it was impossible to warm the floor where the cold air was collecting without making the rest of the room a sauna. There was no electrical outlet next to the bed, either, so I charged my phone on the desk overnight. The sheets and comforter were also stained, although they had clearly been washed, at least. I considered complaining to the management but thought there was no way they could be unaware of these issues, and thus they had thought the room acceptable for occupation in spite of the problems, meaning any complaints would likely be fruitless. Overall, worth the price paid, but not a penny more.
Decent hotel in a very good location. Room was a bit small but expected in that central location. Sink area in bathroom was pretty small. Beds were comfortable and had a decent sized TV in the room with a safe and large cupboard to store clothes and luggage. Had an issue with hot water one morning and had to have a cold shower but got sorted in the end.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Receive shopping packages.
Staff was very friendly. Rooms were clean. The dining room was spacious and breakfast was plentiful. Valet parking is definitely a plus. The bar in the lobby had everything you like. Not a 5 star because of elevators. Too many malfunctions. Had to take the stairs too often.
Friendly, and cleanliness of the rooms good.
There is a little lack of cleanliness. In one day it was forgotten to lay out new towels. After consultation, there was only one stock. It's OK to stay in NYC. Staff is friendly.
The hotel is at a great location. From a location point of view, you can't go wrong with this hotel. It is right in the heart of the city. For me, it was a 4 min walk to my office. But other than that, there is hardly anything great about the hotel. The rooms are super small. The lifts are crazy, is just super old and needs to be fixed. Breakfast is not free unless you have hhonors status. View from the room maybe nice depending on your floor. Cookies at any double tree are always great and this hotel is no exception.
Centrally located hotel. With good prices. Breakfast costs 20 dollers. BIS and metro connections directly opposite the hotel.
Front desk was great, hotel bar wonderful. Housekeeping staff needs to realize their loud voices carry in the early mornings in the small hallways on the floor. There was a housekeeper station outside my room on floor 15 and at 7am daily they were talking up a storm. I did ask them to talk with their quiet voices in day two and they did.
The hotel is very well located.
Extremely friendly staff, great customer service, not too far from the Javits center! And wonderful cookies. Hotel was small but that's to be expected and it was fair for the price. Very small walking distance from great restaurants as well! Will come again!
Nearby works have damaged the hote services so far.
Staff was warm, welcoming, and accommodating. Room was clean and in good order. Reason for three stars lay in that they ran a low rate deal to book up their hotel, fully aware that all the guest staying on the upper floors (15 and up) would be without water pressure in the morning due to a boiler break down they had nearly a week prior. They were fully prepared to play a game of let's make a deal with a stack of free breakfast buffet cards at the front desk. They were kind enough to open a room on a lower floor for my wife and my self to shower, but our family members had already made themselves content with cleaning up with what little cold water they could muster out of the sink in their rooms. So, shady business practice aside, once they are fully operational again this will be a wonderful hotel to stay in. Centrally located just off of times square with some of the most comfortable beds in the industry.
Bad experience… there is no water in the shower, it comes out very little and it ends super fast…!
It was a brief stay, so I can't say much about the hotel itself. The staff made the check-in and checkout processes as simple as they could, and the valet service did what it could for being in Times Square. I rate my stay as a 3/5 because of the construction work going on across the street. I barely slept due to the workers dumping what sounded like sheet metal into a garbage truck all night. Not that I can fault them for doing their job, but it still made my stay less than enjoyable, especially because my co-worker and I had work to do at Madison Square Garden at 8am…
I really enjoyed the warm cookie that they gave to me after I was stuck in an elevator. While going down to request a fourth towel for my room that was booked for four people I was trapped in an elevator where the elevator would go to different floors and would not open. After pressing the call button repeatedly with no answer I picked up my cell phone to call the front desk. A male answered and I said “I am stuck in your elevator” and he responds with “oh okay thanks for telling me. I’ll tell the electricians” and hung up. Luckily soon thereafter the lady in the elevator had listened to what I said about going back to the floor I got on the elevator at to see if that would work. It did. She decided to take the stairs down 17 floors. I ended up having a panic attack due to the feeling of being trapped in the elevator with no assistance. After calming down slightly I was able to get the only working elevator (each fits about 6 people) and made it down to the lobby to tell the lady at the desk that I in fact was the one on the elevator. She said the other lady said we made it out but then said “I’m sorry. We’re just as confused as you are at the situation. Can I get you a cookie or a water? ” To which she did give me two cookies and two waters. And I also requested the extra towels. Towels were never delivered to our room as of 5 hours later. The shower leaks all over the floor. There is no mini fridge like advertised in our room.
I am APPALLED as to how I was treated during my stay here. Do not stay at this hotel. I was placed in a room that had BED BUGS. We checked in very late around 2:30am because I'm not from NYC. We were placed in front of a hotel that was being constructed so I got no sleep. I wake up to bumps all over my face. I start to scratch by back and that's when I knew, I was getting bites from something. I jumped out of bed AND SAW IT CRAWLING ON THE BED. I quickly killed it and looked at my face/body. I had bite marks all over my neck, face, and back. The customer service was horrendous, they had someone come up to my room to examine it, but DID NOTHING. They did not move me into another room right away. They did not walk me to another hotel. Customer service was called, but its like they were talking in circles, they did not want to help me. I was supposed to stay 3 nights there. We left the hotel room and finally after 1pm, we were placed in another room. the next day, there was no running water. I don't know why we thought customer service would help us, because they are clearly incompetant and refused to give us a refund for our entire stay. We checked out that morning and went to another hotel. do not stay at this hotel.
The location is convenient, but that is it. We had to ask for a crib 3 times, finally got it by 9pm. The next day after our rooms was cleaned we were left with no towels, 3 phone calls (1 to the manager) … and we still have no towels. Worst costumer service, I will never stay here again. On top of it all, the place smells and is in need of repairs. I cannot believe this is a Double Tree!
I can't say enough nice things about this hotel. As far as NYC hotels go, it's inexpensive. Obviously the rooms are pretty small but ours was clean with a nice, modern looking bathroom. My sister and I shared a queen bed (that looked more like a full size but oh well). The staff was great! They were helpful and friendly. The front desk even gives out free warm cookies. I would definitely recommend it and stay there again.
The rooms are not bad especially since we were only in them long enough to sleep, and the people working have all been very friendly and helpful. The location is a little weird so taking taxis and Lyfts was a bit of a struggle, but there is also a ton of stuff close enough to walk to. It has also been surprisingly quiet for being as close to Times Square (also walking distance) as we are. Overall a pretty good experience for as little time as we spent actually in the hotel. The beds are super comfortable though.
The room was clean, but small, but I got it through Groupon, so the price was right. The hotel is a great location if you are going to be seeing sites in Manhattan. There is s subway stop right outside the door.
We stayed here for New Years and absolutely loved our time here! We didn't spend much time in the hotel except for sleeping, but every time we entered or left the hotel, we were acknowledged by staff, so they went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed for our entire stay. The room was very clean and the noise level wasn't bad, even on New Years Eve after the ball drop. The location was VERY convenient — within walking distance to Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Central Park, etc. As long as you don't mind a bit of walking and is also only about 3 blocks away from Penn Station so getting places by subway was also very easy. Will definitely be returning for our next stay in NYC!
Some of the staff was amazing and some were shady. Someone tried to make me pay to hold my bags for more than the agreed cost before (6 bucks is the cost, he tried to get 4 more dollars out of me). Thank god the last guy I worked with helped me out. The cracks in the doors are visible in some rooms. Anyone can look in. Walls seem like they are paper thin. All in all not the best experience in double tree's but not the worst in my opinion (might just be the new york hospitality). Located by the train station is a big plus. I can take you to time square or to the empire state building within minutes. Cookies are always a plus.
The hotel is beautiful and the staff is wonderful. When we checked in we were given hot chocolate chip cookies for being Hilton honors members. The only downfall would be the size of the room is a bit small with no microwave. Overall is pretty great Hilton property and glad to be here.
The staff was attentive and friendly but we kept having issues. When we first arrived one of the elevators was broken which was a problem for a hotel with more than 20 floors. Our first night we arrived back late and our heat wasn't working, which was a problem because it was 30 degrees outside. Both issues were fixed the next day and the rest of our stay was fine. The rooms are nice but pretty small.
The desk staff are friendly and courteous, the rooms are clean. Being centrally located between downtown Manhatten, Times Square, and the Christmas holiday market, it was a nice stay.
Location is good. Not at the heart of time square lights but close enough for a 16min walk. Some construction near by so no view or anything spectacular. Still a great hotel inside is clean and workers are friendly. Rooms are small but to be expected in new york. Well worth the money at 167 per night.
I informed the front desk while checking in that the reservation agent repeatedly informed me that parking was free, even when I asked her to double check and confirm with me, which she did. The hotel staff's insulting and condescending response was: no hotel in the city provides free parking. I informed the front desk during check-out that one of the rooms we occupied had a broken coffee machine (then the free coffee at the bar ran out in the morning), as well as a broken thermostat/heater and the other room's shower stall flooded. The staff's response was: thanks for letting us know. At no time was any attempt made to actually do anything to make our stay better or give me a reason to come back. I booked 2 double rooms for the 5 adults in my party and I will definitely give my business to another property and hotel chain on my next trip because the last time I checked, my hard-earned dollars are accepted anywhere. I will also let all my family and friends know about my extremely disappointing experience.
Great hotel on Lex in Midtown. Walking distance to just about anywhere you want to go. Subway entrance right around the corner and great breakfast spot right next door. Cute clean rooms with comfortable beds and a friendly staff. Will be back!
Very impressed with the staff. I arrived to the room early, and they graciously agreed to store my baggage until a room was available. The room was clean and fairly well maintained. Never had to wait very long for an elevator. My only complaint is that they don't have a jacuzzi on the property.
Hotel is in a good location to get to places. It needs to be upgraded. House keeping twice left dirty glasses in the room. Small lobby. Got in early and left my number to call when room was ready… didn't get a call. Wouldn't stay here again.
This is truly one of the worst hotels I have ever experienced, certainly not one that is up to Hilton standards. Despite being a non-smoking hotel, upon checkin the room smelled of smoke. I also booked a suite that looked nothing like the pictures nor did it match the descriptions on their website but was cramped and much smaller than portrayed. To make matters worse, the bathroom was leaking and the carpet was very wet on a 4x4 section. I moved hotels after the first night and informed management that I was expected two packages to be delivered to the hotel address as I had expected to stay there for a full week. I was further assured they would accept the packages and call me when they arrived. Instead the property refused both packages which were then rerouted to the sender. I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Nice hotel, no problems with the room. Staff is not polite or helpful. I left an item in my room when I checked out, my mistake, but when I called to inquire about it the staff could not be bothered to help me. 24 hours now without a call back. Another disappointment was I paid extra to have breakfast provided and had to ask for my vouchers because they had no idea. Breakfast was NOT worth the extra $19. The eggs were disgustingly runny and obviously powdered with water added. This breakfast was worse than the free breakfasts offered by other hotels, which surprises me because it is in an actual restaurant. So apparently if you eat off the menu you get decent food but if you pay for the buffet — not free — you get subpar cuisine. Not what I expected from this hotel.
Saved by a bad experience with the cleanliness of the room the hotel is nice, the neighborhood is in transition. Penn station a few blocks away, Subway is 1 block away and places to eat breakfast near.
Pros: Staff is very friendly and helpful; plenty of fresh and hot complimentary cookies; great location Cons: double room is cramped for space; elevators are slow; bathroom had an unpleasant odor of sour bleach; lots of construction noise outside.
Friendly and helpful staff. Location excellent. Comfortable rooms. To be taken into account.
Very nice hotel for the price range. Sinks in the bathrooms are those raise bowl types with the faucet being a goofy thing. But the rooms are nice and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Our rooms TV didn't work right but that was a small thing as we weren't there for television.
We visited NYC for the first time this past weekend. The hotel is located very close to Times Square, Empire State, Central Park; it was all within walking distance. Room was clean, bathrooms as well, the bed was very comfortable. Everything was working perfectly fine for us. The complimentary cookies were nice and warm. Now the staff was beyond WONDERFUL! They were very welcoming, very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and attentive! We got around NYC very well thanks to them. Richard (Bell Service) and Thomas (Guest Services) stood out the most. They were so friendly and knowledgeable. Gave us step by step directions to anywhere we had to go. I have to say our stay here has been one of the best experiences we’ve had with a hotel. All the staff was great!
Arrived after a long day of travel and was immediately felt welcome by Thomas. A warm delectable cookie also helped. Room was very clean, and had all the usual amenities. 5/5
Visited NY to see a show at the Garden and stayed here for a weekend. Hotel is located 1 block from Madison Square Garden (8-10 minute walk) and a few blocks from Times Square (15 minute walk). The room was clean and the customer service was exceptional. If you choose to stay here, order the French Toast for breakfast through room service, it is delicious!
It's been great so far! Perfect location, good price. Very clean and comfortable and the staff have been very kind and helpful (free cookies when checking in! )
I stayed at the hotel for 9 nights. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is at a great location, clean rooms and fairly good in size. Loved the breakfast there. Renu.
Stayed here two nights with a couple of friends. The welcome cookies are awesome and definitely added to the experience. The room was a bit tight for 3 people, but this is to be expected in the city. We had a double full size room (two full sized beds) on the 26th floor. There was just enough room for a twin sized air mattress in the entry hall, though we were unable to access the bathroom when the mattress was in place. The bathroom was well appointed and clean upon arrival. Our view was great; we enjoyed gazing at the buildings around us so much so that we did not bother closing the curtains at night. The breakfast buffet was good with quite the spread to choose from. The best part about this hotel was the location. You are right down the street from Penn Station and Madison Square Garden, and just a few blocks from Times Square. The only negative to the hotel was waiting for the elevator; since we were on the top floor, it often took us over 5 minutes to get to the lobby. Honestly, this is such a small issue, it is hardly worth writing about. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
Worst hotel stay… Surprised this is a Hilton. No water in the rooms, no way to get any extra supplies if you need anything. Called down for a toothbrush and toothpaste and they just never came… So we passed out… In the morning I was parched, no water in the room, can't bring anything up to you, you have to go downstairs to get anything if you want it… From their restaurant. What if you are sick? My bed had a crater in the middle. I woke up in the morning with my back hurting and a horrible headache. The carpet is filthy… So many spots, it looks very old. This particular room is in dire need of a renovation.
This was my first visit to New York & first stay at the double tree it was nice all the staff was really nice and helpful… We loved Nisha & Adam they took good care of us. Nisha isn't direct staff for the hotel but works there to sale city passes which she great at. She was very helpful & friendly for our needs. She was so sweet we loved her. I would stay there again I just wish they had a pool as I was there with teenagers that wanted to swim but overall we enjoyed & the cookies was definitely a plus. We loved them. The rooms was small but cleaned well everyday. Also there was transportation available at all times at the hotel for a fee.
Stayed for one night in a room with a king sized bed on one of the top floors. Paid extra for being on a higher floor/view. Our view was terrible. Looked out right onto an apartment building and water towers. The best part of the view was the H&M tower spires that were barely visible. The room was very small, including the bathroom. Upon the stay, we requested for a couple more towels (complimentary) in which we did not ever receive. There were also stains on the top of the loose white sheet. We were realllly looking forward to staying here, but it just didn't cut it. Only positive comment was the cookies. Delicious!
Key features are good bathroom good mattress good work area/desk. Really nice staff. Thanks Crystal. The rooms are small and the elevator slow but I have paid a lot more for a worse experience. Great location in Hells Kitchen for transportation Broadway and eclectic dining. Cost me more to book via Orbitz than directly from Hilton website.
Very nice room, great guest services, cool that you can rent movies right from the Table in your room.
My overall stay at this hotel was "okay". Upon arrival the bellhop, whom remained VERY pleasant until we left, greeted us outside AND inside the lobby. As I checked in, I was offered a delicious cookie for my husband and I (who doesn't love free treats)! But, as soon as they ran my credit card it declined. All funds were available. After running the card for FOUR different totals, the funds were removed from my account but my card still declined. They cleared me to get settled in my room and to come back later and try. The room was pretty decent. Aside from the bed sheets that did not seem to fit (if I rolled over the sheets would come undone). I was only given one wash cloth but two drying towels. The refrigerator was also not quite cold, but there was no point of complaining. I left to enjoy the city (which was RIGHT around the corner :) ) and figured I would come back and try my card. They tried to process y card while I was away only to have it decline again. Of course, being that they had removed the funds earlier. The supervisor kept telling me "I'm sorry, I'm not sure what you want me to do". Well, of course I would like for you to return the funds. After a "LOVELY" time trying to return the funds I was able to have the funds returned to my account and the transaction went through. All-in-all, I should have chosen a different location for my festivities.
I stayed here a couple of weeks ago, the hotel is clean, the location is great, and the staff is unbelievably friendly. Highly recommend it.
Summary based on 1 midweek visit: — not great tourist location, too far from mid town, but ok if you're looking for something in the Hilton chain that's less expensive and not that far from Penn Station or Times Square. Good for Fashion District location. — rooms smaller than many Hiltons — aircon floor/wall mounted unit in the room, like Courtyards. Less noisy than some. — friendly staff, but sometimes overwhelmed at the desk — good Wi-Fi with rare easy connect, even for smartphones — small, but ok fitness center — quiet street, but therefore less active for taxis than most — several inexpensive places to eat fairly nearby — management involved and sent first ever email before arrival — ok elevator speed — couldn't get early check-in — breakfast buffet better than average — if you have higher status with Hilton, your upgraded room may be disappointing.
LOVE this place! The service is outstanding — everyone who works here is so friendly and goes out of their way to get to know you and assist you in any way they can. I have traveled extensively and stayed at a lot of hotels and have never, ever, have experienced the high level of service like I have at this location. Stayed three nights and everyone knows my name and I have been treated like family. Amazing experience. I will most definitely be back when I visit NYC again.
Will not stay at another hotel in NYC other than this one. My wife and are were so impressed from the minute we walked through the door. The staff was beyond nice and our room was clean and very spacious. Loved the breakfast and can't wait to go back to visit.
Good location, very friendly staff. Room a little small but very clean. Breakfast at the top.
Great value for the price. Clean rooms, attentive staff and free hot breakfast. I'll stay here again.
Great mid-range hotel with great staff. Good location with easy access. Only complaint was bathroom sinks. Way to small. Basically its just a bar sink.
Great location if you want to catch Broadway shows, do some big-store shopping, and have an unlimited Metro Pass to visit many other parts of NYC — — this hotel is just blocks away from it all. Yet far enough for some peace and quiet when you want to sleep. (However, I'm originally from New York so walking a few blocks is not a big deal to me. Some people who want the hub-bub of Times Square right outside your door may prefer another hotel. ) We had a king room with a great shower (no tub), a small desk to get some work done, and a small amount of floor space. It's great for a couple, but you'd probably need more room for a family. While the in-room coffee is iffy, the free cookies are a big plus. Overall, it's a great place to stay if you simply want a clean room to rest your head, and basic amenities to clean up from your day's adventures.
The room (two queen size beds) was VERY SMALL. The beds were against the walls, with less then two feet between them. The picture on the web site showed a much bigger room. It was difficult for two women to move around. There was very little draw or counter space. HOWEVER the staff was TERRIFIC. A special thanks to Josie, Todd, Sal and Adam.

Was attending a conference in the area and this hotel was a nice walk to the venue. The beds are comfortable and the room is very clean. The check-in process was easy and you get a complimentary cookie. I would recommend the breakfast it has lots of variety and was very nice. I wish the rooms came with a bottle of water but thats my only criticism. Staff is friendly and helpful and a very convenient location.
