Reviews of InterContinental New York Times Square, an IHG Hotel 5*
The street view here is excellent! And the people here are very enthusiastic! I am very.
Besides the stay being top notch, our daughter left her priceless stuffed animal and they found it and got it back to us!
Excellent hotel, close to all amenities, excellent for Broadway. All Very welcoming, especially reception and door staff. Would definitely return if ever in NYC again.
I have to say, I was slightly worried to stay here after reading some terrible reviews. We stayed with our two teenagers so wanted somewhere comfortable and safe. We loved our stay! Every staff member was attentive, shout out to the Irish lady at breakfast (which is expensive it has to be said) concierge helped us best they could and reception gave us an extra hour to check out. We were only accosted once by a relentless homeless guy, every other homeless person asked and then moved on. We did give to one young girl as she had a wonderful singing voice. The hotel is situated next door to a subway station and there is a fantastic pizza shop near McDonald’s around the corner. Our beds were so comfy! Housekeeping stocked our mini bar (you can also use allowance in bar which we did) we were on the 14th floor. The rooms were decorated lovely and everything was clean The bell man tried to persuade us to take a private vehicle back to jfk but we declined — it was double the price of a yellow cab. Overall, I’d choose this hotel again. It is in a perfect spot for all sightseeing and our teenagers loved Times Square! 🇱🇷🗽
Great location in Midtown. Great views from the high floor rooms. Perfect for NYC.
Amazing place to stay, friendly staff.
Very nice hotel. Super nice staff. Great location for theatergoing.
Not really fair, in that 30 years ago I worked for Intercontinental in DC, but it’s nice to know the standard that we set, still holds true today. The room was always clean room housekeeping was consistent and efficient and the staff at the street was friendly and professional. If you’re seeing Broadway shows or doing a Broadway weekend, you can’t find a better location than the Intercontinental New York Times Square. We saw five major show’s, ate at three major restaurants, and none of them were more than 2 1/2 blocks away.
My second time staying here! I always enjoyed it. Helpful staff. Great hotel.
Staff down stairs were super cool and helpful.
Nice place and service minded employee.
Simply wonderful, every place you want to know is nearby, the people who work here are too friendly, attentive and polite, I highly recommend staying here… 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🍀🍀🍀🍀👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
We stayed in the family suite. It was the perfect size for our family of 4. The views were amazing. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was great as well.

Good location for getting around and right next to a subway which was useful to get to JFK airport when going home. Very close to Broadway. Housekeeping staff and Porters/Security are very friendly unlike the Reception staff who were the most unfriendly staff I've come across in a hotel and the complete opposite to the IHG hotel Reception staff at the hotel we stayed at the night before our flight from Heathrow.
Considering the US has opened up to visitors again, you'll have to do better than this if you're want people to return to your hotel from across the pond. No on site food or drink as yet, perhaps this will change? I personally would try another hotel next time as there are many in the area where I'm sure they will make you feel valued as a customer. When we were checking out there were three staff all at Reception and not one acknowledged us despite looking up and seeing us… It would have been good if at least one had said "excuse me, I'll be with shortly" but they didn't. Great location, room was fine but the experience was let down by lack of friendliness and pleasantries by Reception.
Excellent location, very friendly polite staff all willing to help.
Amazing location. Spacious rooms. Dog friendly. Highly recommend.
Very good customer service.
Great, upscale rooms, great service. Very happy.
It was very nice and a good size room and very cleaned and well kept up. Everything was within a 5-7 minute walk. No complaints here from me or the Family 😊
Beautiful, clean serene environment. Friendly hosts. Rooms are big enough for your relaxation.
This was my first time in NYC! The hotel was amazing and the staff very helpful and friendly (we are from Arkansas and that means a lot)! Thank you for making my time amazing and providing a wonderful room and bed and view!
Great location. Room was very comfortable. Nice view.
Nice comfortable rooms with great views.
We have the most beautiful room. The views are spectacular.
A beautiful hotel with extremely clean rooms, etc. The staff were all great and very helpful.
I can’t wait to visit again.
I live 2 blocks away and haven't been out of my apartment in 8 months due to covid, so thought a night at the InterContinental would be a nice treat. WRONG! Restaurant and bar are closed. Asked for a better room since it's my birthday, sorry hotel isn't using the good rooms, only 21st floor and lower. The towels are ripped and threadbare. The carpet is gross and room looks nothing like the pictures they use to promote it (beautiful blue and white decor, no this room is puke greenish brown). Highlight of the hotel? the giant thick crusty toe (? ) nails all over the carpet. Don't they vaccuum?
The abitassions very comfortable I recommend it to 5 stars ⭐️
Excellent treatment and cozy place in addition to central.
First time at this hotel, We stayed here for 4 nights and would definitely return its very clean and the staff are very friendly and very very helpful, the breakfast was nice, and it’s so close to Times Square, would definitely recommend, also lovely views from the room.
Great location. Staff is very nice.
Had an amazing meal after a broadway show. Although we weren’t staying there this time it was an absolute pleasure to visit the hotel bar. Paul was our bartender and he was a delight! Best hotel in the city by far!
Horrible accommodations for a motel 6
Spent a wonderful week there with my granddaughter, food was good in the lounge, bar service was brilliant, room service was great. Very helpful concierge. Amazing views from the skyline rooms. Beds are so so comfy.
Hotel location was great — very near Times Square. Arrived early and front desk reception Mr. Francisco was very accommodating — great help in early checkin plus he explained all what the hotel has to offer. Spent 4 comfortable nights in their quiet big rooms and great bed. Francisco also was a big help as he assisted us in our check out today. Thanks and we enjoyed our vacation.
Just checked in yesterday and the front desk guy was very pleasant and accommodating specially we came in early… the rooms were spacious and the beds were great as we slept in and woke up at noon.
All staff are helpful and polite. Skyview room has a beautiful view of NYC. Fantastic location in Midtown, very easy to walk to major tourist attractions and restaurants or catch a show on Broadway!
Hotel, location and staff all perfect.
So many reason why we will never book this hotel again. First of all the breakfast is a joke. Its way too overpriced, compared to what you can get elsewhere. Not many options to chose from, nothing really tastes good and since when do I have to pay gratuity for a self service buffet? From an intercontinental (ihg) I expect better service, more cleanliness and there should be water included for breakfast and not only the cheap tap water. The room is dirty everywhere. Strange stains on almost every wall (see the pictures) The shower is not working properly sometimes, but the view is stunning. The water in the sink won’t drain properly. We were told that we have 20 dollars (of 30 dollars we have to pay extra every day for the room) in food and beverage that we can spend. The minibar list shows that the big Fiji costs 12 and a small bottle (soft drink) 8 dollars (which are also a joke if you know that you can buy the big bottle from the shop around the corner for 3 dollars) Way overpriced! But in real the big Fiji costs over 15 Dollars! because of tax! This should be mentioned on the mini bar list! Because otherwise its scam! You think you have 2 drinks for 20 dollars but in reality we have to pay extra later. The next thing! Two days in a row the minibar was not filled up and the big Fiji was missing!
The staff are beyond rude at this hotel
I have stayed at five star resorts around the world and this hotel is like staying at a three star hotel.
The concierge were lovely but it fell down after that. Front desk staff were beyond appalling, I honestly can’t believe how rude they were. Rolling eyes at me when I asked questions, no asking how our stay was when we checked out.
We spent an absolute fortune on a suite and I would never ever return to this hotel. The room service food was also awful like rubber.
I have stayed in many intercontinentals and you should honestly be embarrassed at your level of customer service. Never will I stay again and I’m an IHG member!
Great Hotel, friendly staff, astonishing view, delicious breakfast buffet!
Top hotel — great location and love the bar staff xxx.
Amazing location with brilliant views from the higher floors. Spacious rooms with super comfy king size beds. We had a fantastic time and highly recommend this hotel.
My mom fell and broke her wrist getting off the plane in NYC. We spent one out of our 3 scheduled nights. We were assured by the front desk that if Expedia agreed to cancel the reservation than the Intercontinental would refund our money. We received confirmation from Expedia that the Intercontinental denied our request. Thanks for the lack of compassion.
Room is big in New York standard and location is convenient. However, very very poor service and awful staff attitude. We did not feel like being treated as guests. When we arrived the room, we found a bowl of nuts and a kettle mysteriously placed on the floor next to the room door in the corridor like some sort of rituals performing. It was a little spooky. We moved them aside and they were still there the next day. We stayed for four nights and housekeeper did not refill shampoo/body soap even they were used up. Phone was not working and we couldn’t connect with the concierge. Also, housekeeper has thrown away our luggage key. The worst staying experience at Intercontinental.
Nice hotel. Nice room. Eighth Avenue is really a garbage dump. Filthy. The $35 destination fee pushes me over the edge for some reason. I basically paid $55 for a plate of scrambled eggs. I would have paid $80 for the eggs but they allowed me to use the $25 food credit on the day I checked out. Sorry. Just the way I feel about it. Otherwise the hotel is nice if you don't mind the destination fee.
Great hotel, good location. Easy walking distance to a majority of attractions. The staff are helpful and the rooms are spacious. The bar is good and a nice spot to grab a drink of you are waiting around. Breakfast is excellent of a little on the pricey side.
I was here for a business trip and I am really impressed. You can explore best of new york city just in walking distance from this hotel. This is really expensive hotel but it is really worth it. Views from the rooms are best and rooms are very clean. Customer service is good as well. Just one thing I did not notice was that they charge for all the items available in the room. Not their fault though! I never went to Gym but my friends told me it was great as well. Definitely consider this if you have some money to spend!
Good clean hotel with a mid sized conference area. Very close to the action, but not noisy. You're within walking distance of most of the Broadway shows and 100's of restaurants. Even a short walk to Central Park if you're adventurous. Staff was very friendly and did their best to accommodate an early check-in as we caught an earlier flight and arrived before noon.
The hotel is very well located. Good service.
This was my second stay at the InterContinental on Times Square. The staff were friendly on both occasions and this time in particular I was upgraded to a beautiful room/suite with multiple views of the city. I love the atmosphere of the hotel and the room was very spacious and clean. I also enjoyed dinner in-room overlooking the city and breakfast before I checked out! Thanks for making my business trips relaxing. I will definitely be staying here again!
Very good. Nothing to complain about. Welcome. Location close to Times Square.
We've been at The Intercontinental to celebrate our second anniversary,,, and honestly we were more dissapointed than any other thing.
After weeks of my boyfriend preparing everything for the special occasion, when we arrived the surprise wasn't in the room and he had to call 3 times in front of me to get it in the room,,, not a single apology until we complained on departure, when the lovely F&B Manager offered us complementary drinks and refunded the cost of the room surprise.
We couldn't have the complementary drinks because the waiter decided make the cocktails with just whiskey… completely undrinkable.
Room cleaning is not the best, we just had a pair of slippers with stains from the coffee machine above, windows are dirty, glasses and ice bucket under the bedside table were full of dust,,, etc.
I'm a hotel Reception Supervisor and to be honest this Front Desk needs better training. When we arrived, the Receptionist pre-authorized our "debit" card for just the 2ND night, as we paid in advanced for the 1St night, without explaining anything, so when we checked the bank statement we saw it and we asked them why only that amount,,, Well, they pre-authorize night by night in a "debit" card and at the end they complete it. All good with that, but you should know that If you pre-authorize a "debit" card:
1. The amount pre-authorized (3 separate nights) is holding for longer and 2.
Near the Center Times Square at 5 min New hotel, we stayed on the 27th floor beautiful view, reception and reception 5 star cleaning service rooms a little poor maybe expected some Tips (gratuities), which I did not give because it did not deserve.
Right next to Times Square and very close to Central Park. There are subway stops in the back street. Good location My experience was wonderful and the staff were very helpful. I would come back without hesitation!
Just back from an amazing honeymoon at the Intercontinental. All staff were fantastic and the room was phenomenal. The view took my breath away, we slept with the curtains open because when everywhere was lit up it was even better. We were upgraded and received champagne and strawberries on our first night which was a lovely touch. The location is perfect for shopping, shows and restaurants. This is a truly wonderful hotel and we can’t wait to visit again soon.
Had booked a room in August 2017 for 3 nights. Got to hotel and room wasn't ready. We were told we had another room for the 1st night and will be moved to our room which will be ready the next day. Not ideal. We wanted to unpack our stuff so we didn't have to carry it about the hotel. We asked if we could just stay in the same room for the full weekend. We were told no. Was unhappy with the customer service. Hotel was nice. Pretty central. 5 minute walk from Times Square.
This place was amazing! My room was huge, and not just by NYC standards. The bed was exquisite, with nice linens. Everything was clean. The bathroom was spacious (for a hotel bathroom). The location was beyond perfect with great views. I would definitely stay here again!
Great hotel with a wonderful panoramic view, we were on the 36th floor. Nice and courteous staff. Breakfast price prohibitive and useless to eat like an ogre for a day of sightseeing. Really close to everything. We will be glad to come back.
Very comfortable bedding for a restful sleep.
On the other hand I have trouble understanding the American standards, recognized for their beautiful king size bed, in triple room It's rather 2 queen size bed a little small for 2 people.
I truly got 5 star service at this hotel. I requested, and was granted, an early check in. It was quick and the agent was kind and informative. Due to my status I was upgraded to a higher floor with a better view. I was very pleased with that as well. The view was phenomenal and the location was just close enough to Times Square, while also being just far enough away. The hotel bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was gorgeous. The waterfall shower head above was a very nice touch. We were close to Port Authority and right on the corner of a Subway station which made travel around the city very convenient which was important for my visit to Manhattan. They also have a restaurant, The Stinger, which I regret not having the time to try. The drinks were very tempting though from what I saw. Check out was quick and painless with the app on my phone as well. Overall I enjoyed the room, hotel, and location.
Of the many hotels we have stayed at over the world. (Including the London Ritz). We rated this the most pleasant hotel experience we have ever had. It ticked all the boxes. Location. Housekeeping. Wonderful polite pleasant staff from front desk to Stingers Bar. From the doormen. Bell staff. Terrific. Close to all dining and bar outlets. Simply outstanding. Will make it our base on future visits. Excellent.
Great hotel, get a corner view room it is amazing.
Very nice Hotel in Manhattan. Very close to the theater area of Times Square. Good service. Comfortable rooms, good size and cleanliness acceptable.
Modern and well-groomed environments. Excellent service. Very convenient location for a quick walk in downtown NY.
Good hotel right in theatre district. Had a corner room with great views to times square. Moderately priced and convenient. Also had a Shake Shack attached on the corner better than the room service menu. Have stayed here several times over the last few years. They are doing some updates and should make the hotel nicer. Park across the street and it is discounted by almost 30$
Excellent hotel, nice and super well located! Everything is close.
Centrally located, amicable customer service and also the facilities made this hotel best choice Families and Solo. Breakfast is too good and all major attraction on walking distance. Other hotels claim to be near time square but. Actually far from it. But this one is defitely step away from time square. View From top floor is awesome. You can have a look at the magical lighting and enjoy as much as you can. Highly recommended.
Magnificent hotel Service first class rooms great comfortable and especially very central one block from Fifth Avenue.
For the unbelievable bad onboarding. Rooms are OK, the location at Times Square very good.
Hotel below expectations. Staff at the front desk rude. Cold. They don't know other languages apart from English. The rooms on the low floors obviously without a view. Highly strategic location. Not to go back.
We love the Intercontinental NYC. The views are so amazing and it’s one of the best ways to enjoy a glass of wine in your room and just watch out the floor to ceiling windows. If you can get higher and facing time square, you get these amazing views of the city and even sunrises. Made waking in the morning and enjoying a cup of coffee even more relaxing. Highly recommend for romantic getaways! I’m not a fan though of the restaurant, but room service is great.
It is a central location with good treatment. They speak little Spanish but you get half understood. A lot of luxury but nothing out of the exceptional.
Really nice hotel, great location, close to the Time Square and all kinds of activities downtown they even have their own entry into the subway system and they're ready help immediately with either cab or limo driver. I took the limo driver one night and had a great time with him very nice guy so a lot of really good key points in the city within 2 hours. It cost $100 for this guy but he was so informed and so in tune with the city we saw so many good things and we did not waste her to anytime at all. It's really easy to waste a lot of time which we didn't want to do. If I had it to do over again I would have taken this guy to begin with. We had a great time Thank You Intercontinental Hotel.
If you go to New York, stay at this hotel. Fantastic location A few steps from Times Square, big room, beautiful with huge bathroom (number 1804) with a view of Manhattan, which alone is worth the price. Very clean and friendly and friendliest staff!
Great hotel. Very New York atmosphere, very well equipped and with an unparalleled location. Highly recommended.
Very good location. Only one block walking distance to Time Square, but quiet. Lots of food choice around. Friendly staff. Got upgrade to a higher floor room with nicer view. Good size room for Manhattan. Check-in/out could take a while during rush hours. Be careful with mini bar items as they are tracked by sensor. My kids removed the cans out of the fridge which showed up in the bill, but since we didn't drink them and put them back, they removed the items from the bill. There is no club lounge at this location : (
I stayed at this location last month and it was amazing Central located and Darlene at the front desk was awesome! She was so friendly and gave great recommendations and knowledge on what to do in the area. Darlene is a true New Yorker and a gem to the hotel.
Nice rooms, pleasant and helpful staff, and a nice bar downstairs. There were a few minor things that bothered me though. Ironing board in the room was the cheapest piece of garbage and was all bent up, so much so that it barely balanced to iron my shirt. The iron itself was old and took a pretty long time before it produced any steam. Wet bar in the room was quite expensive, however it was locked so I couldn't even indulge if I wanted to. Definitely on the pricey side but it is their premium brand so it was expected. Overall good, not great.
The hotel was absolutely beautiful. Loved the decor when we entered the lobby. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location was great for seeing Broadway shows and a lot of great restaurants within walking distance. Our room was beautiful. Lovely bathroom and shower. Bed was extremely comfortable. Would definitely return.
4 night Family trip with our 3 young kids. Had some challenges during reservations but Gabriel in Guest Relations came through and made sure we had connecting rooms. Rooms were nice size with large bathrooms and very comfortable beds. Perfect location just a few blocks from Times Square. Stayed on the 20th floor facing north with great views. Good choice of family restaurants all within walking distance.
Very nice hotel in the center of tourist madness. Clean and roomy guest rooms. Very nice, attentive, and helpful staff (font desk — Darlene is a darling). Train station practically attached to hotel, so that's convenient. My only (small) complaint would be there are no AV hookups to the TV in the room.
Phenomenal location. Easy access to the city. Very nice rooms at a fair price for NYC. Backs to Hell's Kitchen for some great dining options. If you are going to Broadway, then this is the place to stay.
Ok, I don't give out many 5 star ratings but these folks definitely earned it. The check-in process was quick and friendly, they have a parking deal setup with the lot across the street, who were also friendly and efficient, the concierge was friendly and helpful, the room was very nice, and the location was hard to beat. Yes, it's expensive but it's New York right at Times Square.
I will caveat that it was a busy weekend before a holiday. Nevertheless, the desk was utterly mobbed at check-in and check-out, as if the hotel was understaffed. Consequently, the desk and bell staff were impatient and borderline discourteous. Despite an offer to try to get us checked in a little early, no one told us when our room was ready. As for the room itself, it was dank and humid, requiring the AC to be run constantly, and it was on a low floor right by the elevator (in spite of expressed preferences to the contrary). We were provided no toiletries in the bathroom. And, it appears that I have been charged $5 for I don't know what because I still have not received my folio. I would not stay here again.
Hosting a conference or company summit? Intercontinental is a solid option near Times Square. The food provided was great. The service for organizing our conference was very accommodating and fast acting upon any request we had. Definitely advise this place for a conference of under 400
Great location in Times Square and easy access off the West Side Highway. Parking lot directly across the street was most convenient and affordable. We overpaid for our 3rd floor room and was no deal through Cheap Tickets (with taxes over $500). Beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Don't eat the tiny cans of Pringles because they cost $8 each.
Rooms and facilities were great, location is obviously great, too. They still owe me $70 for two breakfasts, though. I asked the waiter repeatedly why I had to sign any bill at breakfast if it was settled by my travel agency in advance (I also had that written in my booking everywhere). He was like "oh it's just a formality, we don't have a system to cross-check your booking from here". Like what? "If they (pointing at front desk) see that you have already paid, we won't charge you". I was like, okay, not going to argue over breakfast about that. This turned out to be a lie, a week after I left they charged my credit card. It's so unprofessional, I don't think it's even worth complaining to Intercontinental. I mean if they really don't have a system to check their bookings properly, I ain't going to be the one to help them set it up. I just won't stay at an Intercontinental or any affiliate again, and also told my company to pick any other chain when possible. Breakfast choices were poor, but I mean, I could've just gone out to eat, I only ate there cause it was paid for already.
Loved the room, the price and the view! Self-park is also right across the street (+$40) which was super convenient. Room was big enough for 4 people.
Such an impersonal hotel. The rooms were dingy and unkempt for the price. I have stayed at better Holiday Inn Expresses…
Awesome upscale hotel in midtown. Staff is great, facility is very comfortable and we'll updated. Location is perfect, just off times square. Can't say enough good things about this hotel.
Excellent location, 5 minutes to times square and theatres in easy reach. Service is very good, rooms are very good and cleaned daily. I would stay here again.
Stopped in for drinks at the newly named Todd English bar. Creative drink concepts. Bar food was quite good. Friendly and crowded atmosphere but not annoyingly crowded. Most people were smiling and laughing so it had a good vibe.
Hotel in a strategic location just two steps from Times Square. The staff is very friendly and polite and the room always cleaned to a high standard. Excellent property in which to stay. If you have a low room ask to be put on the opposite side of the road. Stayed in the 337 I have not heard a noise. Recommended!
The Price Tag Is Fucked. Even the Breakfast is not included.
Excelente ubicación buena atención.
Excellent hotel that is located right on Times Square. Great view from the upper levels! Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable. Nice bar/dining area down in the main lobby as well. Good place to grab a quick bite or drink before heading out for the evening.
I am a frequent traveler and this was my worst hotel experience in a long time. Few reasons: They did not let my fiance check in for two hours althoughalthough I had called, gave her my passport and she had my credit card. Rooms were loud. Mini bar items were open and half empty upon arrival. I called three times the bellman men to help me with suitcases (first time 15m with prior notice), nb showed up. Even in the lobby (I had two suitcases and three bags) nobody would help. Never ever again!
Overall a good stay. Definitely a noisy location, but that should be assumed given it's Times Square. Got a small two-queen room that was nice, but nothing exceptional. Again, a good stay, but nothing really made it stand out from other hotels of the same caliber.
The Smahrt Girl Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit organization, chose the ICH-Times Square as their hotel of choice to accommodate a 3 night stay for 25 teen girls from Houston, Texas. The reservations were booked well in advanced and secured with a credit card. Upon arrival we learned that we were double booked! They had booked us for 15 rooms instead of 8. Sadly, because our rooms had been secured with a credit card they also charged us for 15 rooms instead of 8. The hotel totally refused to correct the mistake. This created a significant hardship for our non-profit organization as well had barely raised enough money for the trip. Additionally, not only did they double book and charge us, they also were not able to accommodate us for the rooms that they had charged us. We clearly booked and requested double delux rooms considering the number of rooms we need based on the number of girls. The hotel could not provide us with all of the double delux rooms, so instead of upgrading us, they down graded us to King beds, which created additional problems. The customer service in the hotel was the worst I've every experience. I want a refund for the money they charged us for the rooms that were never used. The Smahrt Girl Foundation is a non-profit mentoring program with very limited funds and no government grants supporting us. The extra money that was extracted from our accounts has totally impacted the amount of scholarships that we will be able to ward this year.
The rooms are small, but the view from the 30th floor is awesome.
When staying at the InterContinental Hotel in New York is really great, and I just want to live here in New York. Very close to many places, including two at the Starbucks coffee in the morning! From your check in to leave, the staff have always been able to provide useful help. I love it here, I really think I'm such a home. I can't wait to come again.
So far so good. Excellent service, very nice staff. Larger room with King bed. Clean and centrally local hotel for Times Square quests.
Well we stayed on the 20th floor and the views were amazing, lovely views of the skyline and the river, at night it was amazing views but in daytime views looked just as good, the 2 double beds were so comfy, room service was quicker than expected, and food was brilliant. Concierge were great help and the ladies that cleaned our rooms were absolutely great ever so friendly, I had no complaints at all, well maybe 1, the staff when we booked in weren't very helpful, mind you it was 2.30am. But he tried to make us pay for an upgraded room but my granddaughter had already paid for this, so when we mentioned it, he quickly said sorry and gave us our cards for room. But all in all this was our only complaint. Would definitely go back and stay at the intercontinental again in a shot, only other downfall was you had to pay for Wi-Fi per device (which could work out expensive) forgot to say we stayed January 2016
Fantastic view. Comfy king-size bed. Clean room. Lovely shower. Great hotel. Would stay here again.
The hotel itself was beautiful, with amazing views of the NY skyline. The staff was professional and courteous. The only issue we had with the room was that there didn't seem to be any sound proofing, we could hear absolutely everything going on in the hallway throughout the night. I would definitely stay here again.
We had an awesome view from our room on the 34th floor. The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable to sleep in. It would have been a 5 had there not been noise we could hear through the door and walls during our stay from others on our floor. Not a huge downside, considering the great location and views!
Amazing! Stayed just before Christmas for our honeymoon and from moment we checked in, we knew it was going to be the best. Had a corner sky view room on floor 30 which had a great view over the city and river. Huge comfy bed and a bathroom with a shower bigger than my house! (Ok slight exaggeration but it is big! ) Location of hotel is fantastic for everything, taking only about 10 min to walk to the Rock and about 2 min to Times Square. Definitely one to stay at again.
Handy for the Times square area, but far enough away from the bustle and noise. Join their loyalty program to get free internet. Staff friendly at check in, and quickly dealt with. I've been here a few times now and will return again.
Worst hotel to stay. Everything is charged for and they don't clean good leave trash around and the lady's that clean steal your belongings. A tip that I can give you is if you are staying there put all your expensive belongings in a safe box they will disappear.
Accommodations were nice, but didn't get the room I requested (a view of the next door apartments and air conditioning units) and the special requests were not honored immediately (a bottle of wine to celebrate my mother's 75th birthday was to be waiting in our room upon arrival). Staff was superior, BUT did have to wait 20 minutes to speak with the concierge on two occasions. I will return here if the occasion presents itself.
This hotel is in a great location, which is a 5 minutes walk from Times Square. It provides easy access to sites, restaurants, theaters, shopping and night life. The rooms are modern and bigger than average for NYC. Our room was on the 30th floor, with a huge double bed and had a fantastic view of NYC city life All staff were very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.
First time in the USA. Nothing to compare it to, but if first impressions are everythring, then Deborah Harry is righta. It's their skyline, power and passion. The seat of the Union and it's amazing people that will never leave you. New York and the Intercontinental will never leave you less than breathless. What a place.
Nice hotel with a great location. The service is good.
Stayed there last year absolutly great, very central, my god do they LOVE the SCOTS.
The rooms were fine. The service was appalling. Having stayed in other InterContinental Hotels, I expected much more. We were actually asked to take our own suitcases to our rooms on arrival. Concierge was always on the phone, no matter what time of the day and gave no subtle indication that he would be with us shortly, no matter how long we waited. We had to hail our own cab at the front of the hotel because the bell boys were also too busy huddling in their circle and laughing amongst themselves just inside the door. Staff's attitudes in general towards guests were less than attentive and certainly not welcoming. For a top tier hotel in the IHG group, their treatment of a platinum member and their guest was simply not up to scratch.
Very nice rooms. Front desk staff needs slightly more customer service training. Holiday Inn in SOHO is almost as nice, just in a "worse" location for tourists.
Very nice place to stay. Shake shack is right around the corner.
I stayed at this hotel from 4th to 7th June and had two bags with brand new clothes and accessories from DKNY and Gap stollen while dinning out! I have notified the missing to the manager of security by telephone and NOTHING has been done! Didnt receive one call back! Not even an e-mail.
I stayed at the Intercontinental back in 2005 when I was going to a friends wedding that was in Greenwich, CT the night before. The rooms were quite posh and the beds were very comfy. I highly recommend someone staying there.
They are a M. I charged for a few tickets to the circus of the Sun which cost (3) $600, which comprised really less 145 dollars each. This is called theft and request an explanation. The response? Nadiem knew nothing until now.
I stay here when I visit Nyc. Great location. On my last stay, my girlfriend forgot her ring. We called hours later and the security team jumped to find it. Mr Javier Shempert was especially helpful.
Not a bad hotel, but not impressive either. I stayed at the Michigan Ave Intercontinental in Chicago and it was MUCH nicer. This one felt more like a slightly nicer Holiday Inn. The room was cramped and the drain in the shower was clogged. Still the beds were comfortable, the staff was professional, and the location was fantastic. We walked to Broadway, Central Park, 5th Ave. It's all right there.
Room was very nice and the service was good. Simple easy access to times square. Local restrurants are very good. I recommend staying here.
