Reviews of Row NYC at Times Square 4*
I stayed here in September and the front desk took a payment of £104.50 from me which I am STILL trying to get back. No reason given and no receipt either. Had to pay to store luggage. The place is well located for Broadway and the accommodation itself was ok but I am not happy about having money taken from my account for no reason and no responses to any communications. Avoid!
Terrible service. Expensive. Everything is slow. They cancel reservations when they want. Can’t talk to anybody. I used to go there on every visit to NYC, but I am not coming back. Much better Crowne Plaza.
My reservation was canceled without any warning and they claim I was re-booked elsewhere. I called that hotel and there is no knowledge of my reservation. I asked for a refund, they said no. I call and no one’s knows anything. One person told me “the government shut us down”, another “we are open just over sold”, and another “you need to call who you booked with”! I booked with you — directly! At this point all I want is my businesses money back!
Except for the good location, rooms are small, aircon unit is roaring like crazy, carpets are dirty and sound proofing is terrible, esp if you get those connecting rooms.
Worst hotel I’ve ever been to. Found bacon in the bed. How is this even possible? Do not stay here. It is disgusting.
Do NOT recommend staying here. For starters, check-in was very long, and there is no air conditioning in the lobby. That was not a good start. We traveled with another couple and we checked in first. We asked the front desk individual to place the other couple on our same floor. He said he would "try. " The other couple then checked in and said, "he told us not to tell you, but he upgraded us because the gentleman was tall. " Pretty rude for us, but good for our friends as it w… Continue Reading.
Stayed here Feb 2020 before Covid closed the world and had a fabulous time. This was my little boys first trip to America and New York and it was a brilliant stay and lovely hotel. Would stay again when the world reopens.
Stayed here for 3 nights while we were in the city for a trade show. Location is great, close to great shops and attractions. Simple layout and clean. City kitchens is a plus for quick bite. The guys at the bags holding area are very pleasant. Elevator is extra fast. All is great except for one, please change the scent you are using at your lobby. It smells like dried urine.
Really nice people! Wonderful breakfast! High powered showers and super firm beds. Loved it!

Great location! Only 1-2 blocks from Times Square, easy to access. Room and bathroom were a bit small, but expected of a NY hotel. Staff did upgrade us for free when they saw we had been placed near the loud elevators, so that was a nice bonus. Rooms were clean and beds were comfy. Would definitely stay here again.
I can't say enough about this hotel. The location was everything right in the mix of Times Square. The service was great I was a little early for check-in but was still able to get my room. The accent wall is decorated so cute it was perfect for pictures. When I come to New York most hotels have a really small bathroom this bathroom was perfect can't complain one bit. Was very convenient in the hotel they had several different eating options it was also connected to a candy store there was also a place for you to use the internet it was just an all-around great place to stay.
On the positive side, the room was inexpensive compared to other hotels in the area. It was a clean room with very new, comfortable mattress. The staff was pleasant and helpful. But… The room was extraordinarily small. I've stayed in a lot of NYC hotel rooms with small rooms, but this room takes the cake for tiniest. It makes the tenement museum rooms look palatial by comparison. Even the bathroom was small. Take a look at the toilet with a wall directly in front of it. I'm not sure how anyone could sit on it. Good thing there was a clean public toilet in the hotel's restaurant.
Well located hotel to visit Manhattan. We had a nice view on the 9th floor. The air conditioning is too noisy. Choose a liin room from the elevators! It's clean. Water fountain and ice at will.
Very good location. Nice and professional staff. Clean room.
Breakfast was not good. No choice.
standard room overlooking the elevator cage or on the inner courtyard with all the air conditioning blocks. I would not recommend for the price!
First time in New York as my daughter had already stayed at Row NYC and loved it she rebooked for a daughter and mum time away. We arrived early and luckily our room was ready then we also got an upgrade which was fab. Lovely and central for all bus tours and walks. Lovely and clean and staff all very pleasant. Highly recommend.
The hotel is very nice and the staff was mostly friendly. The room was clean and the Wi-Fi was good enough. It's in a great location. It's right near the subway and very close to a lot of great attractions. My only complaint is that there isn't a fridge or microwave in the rooms.
A 3 star and not a 4 and ATTENTION to the costs of facilities written in very small (27, 22 $/night in addition to the room) the hotel is very well placed compared to TIMES SQUARE, but the services are not up to the height of a 4 star. Even at the end of the stay you have to pay the tourist tax and additional facilities charges (Wi-Fi for example) : for a week we had (in addition to the room) for $240 (inadmissible) I forgot also for a 4 star, they do not speak a little bit Brightstar dosing systems Ais!
Great location, in the beating heart of Manhattan. Good rooms, polite and attentive to the front desk staff and especially the bar, which provides a great breakfast and good service until late evening. Some problems with elevators that come to the highest floors, in rush hour you can wait 20 minutes to get off or go up. Unfortunately the rooms do not have the fridge and they are lacking in hangers and hooks for towels.
Comfortable bed good shower good water pressure. The elevators sometimes take a while and the bad thing is that the employees at 9 in the morning or before you are knocking the door to clean and one who is on vacation wants to sleep until late.
Especially refuse the rooms ending in 33 which are right next to the white night elevator guaranteed otherwise the hotel is very decent and very well placed.
The hotel is great. The bed is super comfortable and the room has enough space to accommodate the travelers and their luggage. No problem with the elevator but sometimes during the rush hours it gets a bit huddle.
Very good location, modern decor 2 min walk to Times Square and Metro stop. The only downside you pay $30 a day for services like the Wi-Fi Obligatorimente, when in other places is free.
Very well located. Acceptable price to the area. Not very large rooms but nice. The staff was very helpful. A lot of guest movement.
Lobby was super nice and fancy but the rooms were not so nice. Small of course this is new york, but there were so many little things. Rundown and could be fixed. We had 2 separate incidents with cockroaches. The only reason for not a 1 star was the friendliness of the staff. They were super helpful and everyone was nice. Be careful as you need vouchers for the breakfast!
Small room, for New York but OK. Very crowded and rummelig, totally overflowing in the morning. Location is good but pretty noisy. Shower quite good, bed was also comfortable.
Perfect to rest after a day kicking the city. It has breakfast service (paying) and for lunch and dinner you have stalls with varied food. Very good location.
Downtown Hotel, convenient because in Times Square the shops are open until late evening. Clean room every day. Constant renewal of bathroom service. Great Wi-Fi. Gym with weights, treadmills, exercise bikes, mats, towels, fitness balls. Bar open late. Busy.
The location to visit NY cannot be better, less than 5 minutes from Times Square. The hotel is correct though we had to change once room by the noise from the exits of the air conditioning machines. It has a cafeteria, restaurant and a bakery where the waffles are… has recently changed the name, taxi drivers know him as Mildford.
Feel slightly leg, as we should have booked only one mini bed.
Great location if you want to be in the centre and although really noisy outside you can't hear much from your room. Close to metro line. This was our second stay and we had our Son aged 1 year old. We booked a room for the 3 of us but we were disappointed with the size — we couldn't fit our three suitcases in the room. We asked to move rooms and the room was exactly the same so we moved twice before we settled. Thank you to Junior for sorting us out a much more suitable room. The hotel is clean and staff helpful. Perfect for a couple who want to visit the sites.
Well located, very agile reception, quick lifts, in-plant couple water machine and in the odd ice machine, it's OK to go to sleep and already. The first room we got was noisy at most not being able to, air conditioning noises that didn't let us sleep. We asked for room change and we got another room with the same problem but that at least allowed us to fall asleep.
How curious the previous opinions that issued have disappeared! As a hook they emphasize that there are free water sources on the floors. False! We paid 244 USA for them and there is no on all floors. Wifi fatal. Phone, worse. It is a 2 star way to be hostel. The cleanliness, impeccable. A senior maintenance man, a great guy. And at reception, Laney, great. But the latter does not make this Chabolillo a hotel.
I spend four days and they were amazing. The stay at this hotel made it even better. I am very happy with the stay, the room is small but this is New York so what can you expect. The bathroom is also small but believe me it has everything you need. The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful without a doight I would recommend this hotel it is close to everything the train station is only a couple of blocks away restaurants and bars all around. The next time I go to NYC I will be staying here.
This hotel left me mixed feelings. At low cost of reservation (about 56 thousand), we have lost money on absence of breakfasts and on payment of the tax (350 dollars).
First. What you should prepare for-New York is a very expensive city. Here you will not be able to save or rely on your own.
1. This hotel has a deposit of $50 per night. Will return after 5-6 days after the eviction. In addition, prepare money for the tax during the stay.
2. The hotel is located on Manhattan, close to Time Square. It is not difficult to get to it, the hotel is perfectly visible. Its magnitude is staggering. It is very big and I was afraid to get lost in it. You can check in either on the stand or on your own. When you're back, you'll have to get to your room. Elevators 6. You dial the number of your floor (the first digits of the number) and you are shown the letter of the desired elevator. Then you go up the elevator and look for your floor.
3. The rooms. This is, of course, a separate conversation. I can't say they're bad. The first one we were given was very small and with a window emerging to another window. It was cozy, but the rattling ventilation irritated and we asked to change our room. It's done for free. The room was given on the same floor. It turned out to be much more, with two windows facing the roads (I can't exactly call the location. ) I was pleased with the bath in the room and the presence of a working air conditioner-heater.
I just returned from my stay with a large school group. We were very pleased with our experience! The room size was extremely small, especially for four girls, but since we were only really there to sleep this wasn't a problem. I was pleasantly surprised that we had a great view of the city given that we had a "standard" room (I was expecting a brick wall! ) and the layout of the room was nice for the amount of girls (lots of mirrors and spaces for multiple suitcases). One thing to expect is that the elevators are very inefficient. The system (small elevators, key pads) makes it extremely difficult to get to rooms or the ground floor at any time of day, which can be very annoying especially coming in late at night after a long day. Our only major issue was that every time we returned for the day our room smelled heavily of smoke, most likely because of the people who cleaned it. There was no door tag to indicate that we didn't want our room cleaned (which most hotels that I've stayed in have). It caused headaches for most of us because we had never been exposed to it before. We tried to air out the rooms each night when we returned by opening the windows, but that created heating issues which, combined with the smell, made it difficult to sleep. Otherwise, the aesthetics of the hotel were very nice, especially in the lobby, and the location was perfect for what we wanted to see.
Convenient location just 5 minutes from Time Square. Small but comfortable rooms. Being a skyscraper is home to a few hundred people a day, but it has 8 practical and fast lifts. The front desk looks like a sea port and because of overcrowding the doormen can't devote any special attention to the customers. Music and entertainment are often offered.
Kinda small rooms bit it is NY! service was amazing! Held our bags before check in and after checkout so we could tour the city. Gave a military discount, and offered early check in. Check in time is 4pm, checkout time was 11 Am. Perfect place to stay. One block from time square, one block away from restaurant row. Same block as the majestic theatre if you're watching the Phantom of the opera. Great experience here.
We have just returned home after 6 days in NYC staying at Row. We found the hotel was very pleasant the check in was smooth and security was good. We stayed in Room 1204 this was quite small for 3 persons but clean. We asked for directions at the front desk and found the receptionist very helpfully. We were allowed to have late check out and the receptionist was brilliant her name was Morial (spelling not good). I would recommend this hotel.
I brought my niece and nephew to New York for the night. When we arrived, my nephew loved checking in on the iPads and making our own room keys. The room was clean, petite and had everything we needed for the night. Since neither of them complained about slow Internet, I have to say the connect speed was great! All of us LOVED the uniqueness and efficiency of the elevator retrieval system! Why can't all hotels do this? At night, the room was silent even though we were near the elevators. We could not have been happier with the location, the room or the service! We will be back!
Pay 350 dollars on arrival to have a room with 2 beds that I had already booked at the travel agency. Reception staff not at all to listen to the customer (I always look for the staff who say speak French). Overpayment of $321 at the start and no way to have an explanation of why (c is what to read). Horrible restaurant. The only positive point is the proximity to Times Square (shops and entertainment room). I do not recommend.
Great… friendliness the location and services make this hotel the ideal place to stay in NYC, I frequent it for 3 years and never had any problems.
Very good location. The services according to the category of the hotel. The continental breakfast is scarce and the prices of the meals raised in relation to the offered.
For a place close to time Square with a service in French not too expensive.
Went here for a quick vacation, arrived and they were under renovations. The atmosphere was still amazing and the staff were excellent! Everyone was friendly very courteous to us. Dylan from the lobby staff was happy and a willing give us suggestions. He told us about some good places to eat, entertainment options, and helped us save time AND money! Great customer service all around and will be definitely be visiting again.
Great place, Stayed here for a few days and was delighted to find that my personal items where not stolen, while I was gone. Another great addition about this place was the FREE drinking water, which I took home with me. I loved the fact that the family of my size could stay here without any hassle. I left a child there as a token of appreciation, so enjoy the gift. All in all, you should come here if your looking for some good quality water.
I prepaid my stay online with Lastminute, but at the end of the week, the hotel took me a second time the amount for 4 nights plus tourist tax. I'don't recommend this hotel at all!
I prepaid my room online with Lastminute, but at the end of the stay the hotel picked me up a second time from the amount for the 4 nights in addition to the tourist tax (which is not given).
I do not recommend this hotel at all!
It is a hotel with small rooms but very comfortable. With everything you need. In general I approve. It is not luxury but it is very nice especially the lobby. And very good attention.
Hotel not recommended. Counseling always has a lot of people queuing up to be served. The attention of some employees is very bad. One day they did not make the room nor gave us new towels. The room was a girl.
Already came to the time of the Hotel Milford became a shame at the rates arrival that day first room the air conditioning leaks in the room small jet of water I go down to change room he wanted not it changes the room is there it is anything safe that function Do not hole in the tub so water all over the room card room that works only once tomorrow I return to the front desk make me change room just shameful.
The hotel is very nice in terms of communal stays, however the rooms left a lot to be desired. Very small, and the bathrooms pretty spoiled. Otherwise an excellent experience.
Central location, friendly and helpful staff, rooms are small but clean, everything OK.
Nice hotel in the middle of Manhattan. Had a very good view of a avenue and had the opportunity to observe the hustle and bustle from above. The staff was very friendly. American Halt. Good connection to the subway network. Perfect location for trips to all of NYC.
The reception was very bad. We were 7 days first the heating could not be turned off, then we froze. We were charged 210 Wi-Fi compulsory that neither walked. It's an old hotel. Only good location. I don't recommend it at all.
Normally, the price of quality and the main location, meet the requirements.
This is an excellent hotel with amazing value for money combined with a location that is near perfect. Close to Times Sq. And Central park, subway access and walking distance to Penn station. The rooms were small and 'cozy', clean and warm. The bathroom we had was equipped with a tub — amazing for the space. Service from start to finish was great with access to a food court with great selections right in the hotel. Will be back in spring to catch some shows and again, location — amazing!
Utilitarian rooms with TV, safe and not much else. Dedicated elevators direct to floor are an interesting innovation. Good front desk service and an adequate restaurant with a nice food court. Minimal continental breakfast included for $1 a person. Front desk clerk provided us some extras because he liked us!
Luxury Hotel is also not…, smells weird, the rooms are average, the carpeted floor and the bathroom… With curtain the bathtub and good, not bad but in Spain it would have about 2 stars. The hotel then cool. There are live performances and several restaurants for breakfast lunch and dinner.
Very cute and biennnnnnnn located but I was annoyed at the high cost of the packages because they charge stay of the same $5 a day since they arrive to be retired plus $9 per package, and 33 extra dollars per triple room per day, all out of what paid with Anteri Oridad.
Beware of the disasters that combine on credit cards… unagreeable charges, wrong charges and transfers… The rooms are very clean Just a tent hanger. In the superior… The bathroom is microscopic and with shower with curtain and dirt. Carpeting everywhere. The pictures of the reception give the idea of a modern hotel but the rest of the property is on the edge of the rundown. Quality and price not justified. Staff at reception not always very friendly. Convenient near the Metro. X Me Bocciatissimo!
Very good location. Elegant. The big bed in the room leaves no room for more.
Great location 5 min walk to Time Square, nice staff, good controls inside with the request of the badge to go up in the rooms.
On the ground floor you can eat without having to go out.
The rooms are very small and the bathrooms are a little bit older.
In conclusion I feel satisfied, since one goes to NY to visit the city no stay in the hotel.
This hotel is amazing for the price! The rooms are small but extremely clean and housekeeping goes above and beyond every day to make the rooms look great! I am really picky when it comes to hotels and a huge germaphobe but I was very satisfied with the cleanliness of the room. The people in the lobby were really helpful and went out of their way to help me and make me comfortable! I will definitely be staying here again!
Check in was quick and easy. Room was nice and clean and bigger than expected (for a NY hotel). Only issue was the bathroom door was a sliding door and because of the moulding on the opposing wall the door didn't close all the way (not a huge deal though). Location is great for the whole NY tourist thing with times square and all of the Broadway theatres an easy walk away. Didn't eat near hotel but saw plenty of restaurants and little food joints in the area of course. They also offer a baggage holding service so that we could leave our bags after checkout since our flight out wasn't till later in the evening that day.
It has a great location. The room for two people was very good. It had a good sign of Wi-Fi and the. Ice system, cold and hot water in the hallway was most convenient.
Our stay there was great.
A central and well located hotel to enjoy the city.
The bathroom is small but knowing the price of the M2 in NY. … you understand a lot of things.
'll.
Very poor cleanliness, problems with the shower for three days out of five, small bathroom and when we asked for the change room for problems with the bathroom after two days we were given a room with an even smaller bathroom… barely a person came in!
Refused they proposed another with brick view and with vacuum cleaner in the room, broom resting on the shelf and…
Also rejected this because if we have to get worse…!
At least in our there was the city view which of course we paid more… You are also annoyed at the room change request… but we were not the only ones…
Highly discouraged 400 euros per night…! …
You can certainly find even better in New York…
Nice public part, the lobby the bar the restaurants, but much less the room, small, with a window filthy and so much noise…
Not a great hotel but nice location close to Times Square and central Park.
Great location Security guards are here to watch. Clean and comfortable bed. Room on the 6th floor facing the noisy street, you can hear the traffic. I guess we should expect that when we decide to stay in the city centre. I recommend it to you.
If you are seeking a bed this is acceptable, but if you have even a single question or need any help during your stay this is not the place for you. I am referring to something as simple as, "where is the letter that was mailed to the hotel Attn: to me? " This inquiry literally took 2 days and 4 hotel employees who all told me it wasn't here (despite a FedEx tracking number stating otherwise), and for this they charged me $8. Additionally do NOT expect to have any customer service before, during or after your stay. The average length of the line for reception or concierge is 4-10 people no matter the time of day, and if you call the hotel from an outside line or an inside line you will NOT reach a human.
Fast moving. Convenient. Very safe. A bit overcrowded. They are addressing long waiting check-in times via technology (they send u an email to pre checking-in which I have tested and works very well). Overall, good value hotel but other than having a very decent room do not expect four-seasons treatment.
Great hotel! Awesome location, felt totally safe the whole time I was there which was really important to me because I was staying alone. Clean and tidy rooms and friendly staff. The shuttle from the hotel to the airport was also the cheapest one I found. The only down side is that the front desk is always busy so check in and out takes a while. Overall great hotel and I would definitely recommend it.
Hotel very well located the only positive point. Room extreme Bathroom wallpaper take off sheets bathroom towel room filled with task air conditioner stick to the one next to the bed very noisy urine trace in the bathroom really disappointed for such a price.
Great location if you want to visit downtown and not have to worry about a shuttle. A big plus was the valet; they offer an awesome service and a good 10$ parking special on their site. Everything seems modern and the people are super friendly and service oriented. Where they could have improved was with the cleanliness of the room. The carpet needed a steaming and some corners needed dusting/more scrubbing. I hope the pictures can point to some of the issues more accurately. We got the cheapest room so I wasn't expecting anything extravagant. Ultimately, it was a great stay for the price would definitely come again.
Very nice, lively and provided… pity for the tiny rooms and the noise of the air conditioning/heat pump which is quite strong.
For a 4 star it is unacceptable! I state that abroad a 4 star hotel is not as in Italy ever, but the hotel Row exceeds every expectation.
The only pro is the proximity to the theatre district and then Times Square.
Against poor customer care in general, hygiene in rooms equal to nothing… do not go.
Stayed here for the location, which was absolutely perfect for where my wife and I wanted to visit. Right by the tourist hub that is Times Square but just tucked away enough to be a bit a away from its mayhem and closer to the restaurants of Hell's Kitchen. Pricing was very nice, again, location considered. I liked the check-in/check-out process, which was modern. I didn't talk to one person while there, great for introverts, though there is staff there of course who can service your inquiries. We were satisfied with the room. One of the drawers had a broken bottom, which obviously wasn't detrimental to my stay. Slept easy and had a great northern facing room, with a very nice view! Cool place to unwind after playing tourist for the day. Would stay again.
The hotel is well located at 2 mn Times Square, the rooms are small but clean and the beds comfortable. And the view of the buildings awesome.
Hotel very close to Time Square, long queues to check in, the bathrooms are small I think in all the rooms of the property. Initially they gave us a room on the 7th floor with a queen bed and later with an upgrade we moved to the 25th floor with a spacious room and king bed but especially great view of New York. Wifi seeker and also the use of the office area. Nice restaurant type street food with various types of cuisine.
Excessive price for the service offered and overpriced parking. Just the situation on Timesquare which is good.
We contacted the property directly which made us an offer for our stay better than the various known booking management sites. On our arrival in the late afternoon we did not wait so much at the reception which is very modern and extensive. Although we had already chosen a room with a view on our arrival was not available the room choice and we were upgraded to a superior room always with a view without additional costs. Our stay lasted 10 days and I have to say that the choice of the hotel does so much and here you are really good, the location is central to 2 steps from Times Square and great to get to any place in the city. We recommend it and we will recommend it but especially on the next trip to New York we will contact them for the stay. Excellent service of the PC available with free access limited in time but that allows you to print your reservations if necessary. Also convenient access to the city kitchen dining area where you can eat very well with a view of the city. Try the sandwich from Luke's lobster.
Has a location. Rooms could be cleaner.
Great location for exploring the city. Hotel is very good, it was to complain about anything.
Functional and modern furnishings. Super location. We had unfortunately not your room and had to move after a day. Many tourist attractions from here on foot.
A hotel is enough to stay in NY if you come to kick ma city and only sleep in the hotel. Room tiny and bathroom kid… but enough.
The biggest advantage of the hotel is its location. The rooms are not anything of another world, they are something small and without too much outside light. It also seems to be the preferred option for young people, which sometimes can be annoying.
The hotel is prepared to accommodate the large number of people staying.
Prepared with computers and printers in the hall to print tickets etc. The noisy hall and crowded but well-organized to go up the elevator.
The rooms are small and damaged by use, blinds broken and dirty. The Cabinet is a hollow with a curtain. The cleaning could be better.
The beds are comfortable. If you get a room on the street there are many scandal by theatres and air conditioning is noisy.
Conveniently located next to Times Square. If what you want is to be in that area is ideal because you have everything close. Rest is another thing.
In my first time in New York, here was my stay. It is a hotel with small rooms, a modern design and an efficient system of elevators when there are many people in the evenings trying to return to their rooms. If you are lucky he will play you a good view. If you are several people in the room is a little difficult to give you more keys. It is not a quiet hotel. But the stay was generally good.
Stayed a night here, not to impressed. Room did not have a refrigerator or a microwave, or other amenities like a coffee maker. The room did not offer any information pamphlets either. No room service is included, also the room was a connecting room where there is a door you can access the next room over if you have a large family. Needless to say there was a small party of drunken girls next door and we could hear everything from a simple indoor voice conversation. The windows weren't sound proof either and being on the 20th floor we heard all the outside noise so if you're looking for a quiet stay I'd suggest looking elsewhere. We are now staying at the Hilton Garden Inn, which is much better. The room has a cleaner bathroom and the room overall is in much better condition. Our room has a frdige, microwave, and coffee maker for the same price we paid for Row NYC. The only good thing was the gentlemen that took our car for parking. He was very kind and respectful.
First off, we came in early around 12 to let them know we are here and they said our room would be ready at 4. We come back at 4:30 and we are told the room isn't ready but they a similar room available. I said that's fine we'll take it. We got into the room and checked it out and noticed clumps of Hair on the bathroom floor and wall. When I asked for a room change the guest relations manager said all they could do was clean it because they were booked, which I understood. I asked if it could be done before 6:30 and they assured us it would be. Past 6:30 and no one cleaned it. Very bad customer service experience for the price of the hotel. Will not be booking with row again.
I enjoyed my stay at the Row NYC hotel. The building was easy to find, as well as conveniently located, being right down the street from Times Square (within walking distance to other attractions, plus several markets and other desirables). The interior was clean, functional, and handsomely decorated, as was my room. The staff I interacted with were friendly and competent. I enjoyed the bank of complementary computers and printers in the lobby (same for the wonderful dining area and its attached dining hall). I had no problems during my stay, and would probably stay there again. My thanks goes out to all associated with the Row NYC hotel. I am grateful for, and have benefited from, your service.
LGreat hotel love the staff and service very friendly and definitely a safe place to stay! No bed bugs… the only problem I had is that it is right on the Broadway area which cause a serious a lot of traffic flow there's a lot of Chinese tour busses as well. Also the only reason why did not give it five stars because the fire alarm kept going off on me and my father were trying to have a midday nap before hitting up time square.
The outside and lobby was welcoming. However I was not pleased with the room. Need better trained housekeepers. The room was full of dust and the bathroom windows were dirty. I dropped my cellphone behind the bed and what I found was so disgusting, so much dust, a hair scrunch with strands of hair, and a nasty used q-tip. The sight of that made me sick. That was a definite sign that the housekeepers are extremely lazy. The rooms need to be thoroughly cleaned, especially with guests paying a mandatory facility fee of $27.22 per night in addition to the full rate. I was highly dissatisfied with the cleanliness of the room, that I will not return to this hotel when I come back to New York. Thanks a lot for a memorable first time visit to New York.
Sublime! Not change it x any other… — excellent location, attention, comfort… master this hotel since q was milford plaza…
I stayed here in March of 2015 for two days. This was my first time being in New York City. The location is perfect for anyone who wants to do sight seeing. You are a short walk from; Broadway, Times Square, Rockefeller Plaza, Radio City Music Hall, and many more things. It is a very clean hotel. It has nice sized rooms which come with a Safe. It was a pretty pleasant experience. The only knock I have on the hotel is the reception desk. I waited in a line for 20 minutes to get checked in. That is unacceptable. Other than that it was great.
Rooms are a little small but comfortable. You can hear everything in the neighboring room. We had a minor issue, but manager was polite and resolved the situation. I like the modern look and cyc is cool. Location is in close proximity to time square. Overall of the price is right off stay there again.
I was greeted by Nelly who was very pleasent and friendly. She immediately checked me into my room after waiting in line for about 5 mins. The room was small but the overall experience was great. The location is perfect if your a tourist and want to visit time square. The room was very simple and perfect for me since I travel alone. I went to the bar at around 230pm and asked for a drink and was denied because there was no bartender.
Location was great, rooms definitely needed work. My room had a light hanging out of the ceiling. TV remote was dead on arrival, safe was locked. Wouldn't recommend to light sleeper. On the positive side, free water! Amazing location, comfortable bed.
Comfortable and super well located between Times sq. Theater district and Hell's Kitchen.
Great stay. It was still called The Milford, last stage of remodeling. Great location, very good price Booking promotion. To return…
Very the room far too small too expensive, no breakfast, staff disappointed in Hotel row NYC not properly trained.
For us, it is never clear.
Location is great. It is right next to the Majestic Theater where we saw Phantom. Room was clean except for a coffee stain on the comforter. We never really interacted with the staff except for check in which went fine. The were able to check us in a couple hours early.
Modern-design hotel provides clean rooms and great eats! We especially liked the food court which features local fare from 6 different restaurants. The room was small, but we'll furnished and very clean! Close to Times Square, Broadway, 30 Rock and just a block from the 42nd St. Subway station. Great value for the money. Would definitely recommend this to my family and friends.
The hotel lobby is very attractive and the restaurant is just wonderful. I just wish that the rooms were cleaner. I really wanted to give a better review, but the bathroom had dirt in the tub, hair on the sink, dirty towel on the tub, and dust everywhere. There was something smeared and dried across our headboard and just a lot of dust. The hotel staff were all very nice and respectful. If it wasn't for the state of the room I would give an excellent review.
The room is amazing. It was clean and just looked great from the second we walked in. The bar right off the lobby has really friendly staff and the drinks are great we had lunch at the City Kitchen attached today and I'm already excited to do the same tomorrow.
Location is super — subway station is right in front of the hotel, but everything else is easy to reach on foot. Somewhat annoying was that when check-in spite of large snake, the switch only with one person was occupied. Also annoying was that I only got the room type booked and paid after a complaint…
Close to Times Square with great views of the Hudson River. We caught two Broadway shows in walking distance so there was no need for a jacket. Yes, the rooms with a queen bed are small. We upgraded to a King and gained maybe 30 square feet… Lol. It's a poorly finished retrofit especially in the two bathrooms I saw but I do prefer a step below IKEA modern to really cheap traditional stuff. We did enjoy the City Kitchen but there is nothing special about the bar at District M.
My fiancé and I stayed at Row of one night and we absolutely loved it. The room was very clean and we had two windows with nice views on both sides. We were celebrating our anniversary and the staff surprised us with a bottle of wine brought straight to the room! It was an amazing touch that really put our experience over the top. We are very appreciative to the hotel staff for making this anniversary the best night of our lives! I'd recommend this hotel to anyone I know and this will be the only place we stay when we come to NYC! Thank you!
Pathetic experience. I have a laundry list of things which are not good and no value for money. a) No hot water in the bathrooms. b) No service. c) Rooms are not clean. d) No customer service when called "N" number of times. e) Charges are levied on my credit card twice with no prior intimation. f) Bad services by the bellman and on top of that they demand for TIPS. I would not recommend anyone to go the hotel. In-fact I will speak to my office and get this hotel removed from their recommendation due to the above facts. Only advantage it is closer to Times Square. Otherwise everything is pathetic and it is not the same standards maintained when you book your room reservations.
This hotel was very expensive for a very small space. Couldn't even walk around our bed and definately no where to unpack your case. Shower was small an cramped my elbows kept hitting the wall, the drain was semi block and shower curtain was to short so our bathroom floor was flooded after every shower. Rooms were clean enough but the room had a damp smell to it (probably) from the bathroom flooding onto the carpet. There are minimal staff at the hotel so check in/out lines are alway huge. The lobby looks great and it will get your hopes up that you picked a good hotel… until you actually see your room. This hotel only makes money due to its location and that it is one of the cheaper around the area. Do yourself a favour and don't stay around theatre district. Get a hotel close to the subway and a bit further out from Times Square, you will enjoy New York much more.
Booked online for Row NYC, got confirmation of my reservation and everything only to find out that the hotel wouldn't honor my reservation… they would happily set up a reservation right there for TWICE THE PRICE I PAID online. They initially "couldn't find my reservation" and told me that "they were sold out". After talking to 4 different people I find out that they didn't want to honor the discounted rate from online. I happily went elsewhere and spent my money to stay at a different hotel. beware of these sketchy people.
Don't let the pictures fool you the best thing about the hotel are the location and the City Cafe (BEST ramen EVER! ) My ENTIRE room smelled like mildew and housekeeping barely cleans the bathroom. The towels are hard and the hallway is dark! Great location and friendly staff! if the price is low it's worth it because the rooms are tiny.
Great location, room very clean. I recommend it.
Honestly Great Hotel for pricing, Got 125.00 for a two bed room on special. Parking was 50.00 plus plus plus fees — (Negative star) rooms are small but very efficient. Unless your a hippo then this is not the place for you. Rooms where clean beds where very comfy and the night time blinds worked wonders! its like midnight all day long lol. Manhattan is noisy but that's everywhere. If you don't like the noise you can be in The city that never sleeps. Lobby is cool and welcoming. Downside is check in and check out. Get there early! Lines are looooong wait is long. Other than that I would stay again anytime I am in town to visit.
Cozy room. Perfect location. A place to have a good night rest from a long day of stroll in the city! Will definitely come back.
I don't expect much from a hotel. For instance, when the interior hallway is mottled with puke stains and the expensive rooms are ridiculously cramped (as was the case at Row NYC), it doesn't compel me to post a negative review online. But one thing I do expect is, if I must be forcibly woken at 2:00am by a disembodied voice blaring from an in-room speaker, and then kept awake over the next several hours by no less than three similar invasions, that it be related to an actual emergency, and not to advise me in English and Spanish that the hotel security department is "investigating a situation" and that I should "stand by. " All that goes to say, Row NYC now holds the ignominious distinction of having provided me with the worst hotel experience of my entire life, ever. Bar none. If you, like me, believe that a hotel should only violate your sleep if it absolutely has to, then I urge you to avoid Row NYC.
Have stayed at Row 3 times for multiple nights over the past year. Every time I have had a wonderful experience. Location is right by all the major theaters and couple blocks from Times Square. How can an individual book a room in the middle of Manhattan and complain about noise? It's midtown Manhattan NYC morons! Don't be daft, be proactive and bring a white noise machine. Next time I am in NYC will be staying at Row again bc of location, modern rooms, and great views. Plus beds and pillows super soft.
List price online was $125. Somehow with taxes and fees, the price ended up closer to $250. I would argue something is not a "fee" if it somehow doubles the original price. Plus the hotel was among the worst I've ever visited. Bathtub was very gross. Very nice lobby though.
This is disgusting. Hairs in the bathroom. Walls gross. Bedding nasty. For $350 a night it should be better.
The room was clean, but some odor smells nearby the bed. As this is the center of the Manhattan, there was noisy siren sounds even in the night. The hotel staff was kind, but the lobby was too noisy for family travelers. The best point was the location! My family bought Shake Shack burger everyday, because it was in front of the hotel.
The location is great. At a walking distance from many attractions. The rooms are not as they seem in the pictures on the hotel website, they are quite smaller but clean. They do not provide a coffee/tea maker in the rooms. They have 1 water dispenser in the corridor of each floor but most of them are not working (i was on floor 12 and tried 10, 11 and 12 dispensers). If you are searching for a quite hotel in a quite neighborhood than that is not the place to go. The street is very busy and crowded 24/24.
Dirty rooms with dust accumulated. The cheap desk was falling apart. Also they charge a resort fee!. Well you think they would clean it first before charging such a fee, that must extra.
Bad hotel in a very noisy location. Rooms are tiny and dirty. The helpfulness of the staff was unsatisfactory.
Amazing hotel reception and amazing room. Was greeted by very polite staff on arrival and given a deluxe city view room on floor 23. The view was amazing from both windows and the room had plenty of space. The bed was also super comfortable with lovely pillows. Very comfortable stay and also in amazing location next to times square and opposite a subway station for convenience, very quiet during the night. Cannot wait to stay again.
Super location for an affordable price. No luxury, but who keeps himself in NYC long in his hotel room on.
This review is about the bar where the jazz band plays on saturdays. The space is great for dancing, also you can bring your friends for a drink, the service is nice and not that expensive. Very classy, very relaxed.
The location is good and convenient but the rooms are small and the bathrooms very small and noisy. After the first night I did change the room but the second was as the first if not worse. To avoid.
This hotel really sucks, and rude. I stayed just one night, and canceled all others. Especially, The room # 1631, DON'T STAY THAT ROOM. Whole night, I had to hear the pipe noise, and there were loud refrigerator sounds even though that room didn't have the refrigerator. : ( When I asked to change my room, they just told me "If you don't want, get out this hotel. Here is NYC, and NYC has lots of noises. " what? very unprofessional, and rude. Never use this hotel. You can't sleep at all.
Big hotel, funky reception. Rooms small and and basic. Pricey for a hotel claiming not to be.
I love staying at the Row when I visit New York. Gessenia, LaTanya, and Junior are very welcoming and always provide me with the best customer service.
The location is super. It is so central to an acceptable budget seldom in New York.
The rooms are not very large, but sufficient.
We were there for a week. The only downside was the blower of heating, which was quite noisy (so 1 star of less).
The staff was OK. (It can go still a star deduction)
The Internet is very cool with IMacs you could use for free.
For breakfast I Smith recommend BB´s bar on the opposite side of the road.
Hotel renovated and ideally located 5 minutes from Times Square. Spacious but well equipped cabinets and small bathroom. The hotel café is expensive for what dan. The hotel is in general very well but I think it's expensive and what is actually paid is the location.
Initial response upon arrival at this hotel was "wow". We were told by hot-wire that this was a 4star hotel : (. Once you get past the reception area things get smaller as you journey to your room. The rooms are ok if there are maximum two people but certainly not worth more than $100 per night. Overall experience. Would give this hotel 2-3 star rating, pleasant atmosphere however staff not very friendly and pricey uncomfortable rooms.
