Breakfast is a disaster and very expensive for nothing! Same for the service, you can’t even take extra water! It’s completely not acceptable for a 4* hotel in NYC!
We will never come back again and I don’t recommend it!

Ambience is greattttttttttt.

Convenient location and well appointed rooms as well as a friendly and helpful staff.

My husband and I stayed 4 nights at Hotel Hayden and had nice experience. Everyone talks about how small hotel rooms are in NYC but this was bigger than I was expecting. It's not large, but comfortable. I'm big on pillows and I had a great pillow! Not too soft, not too hard. Just right. There was a mini fridge but unfortunately no microwave which would have been nice for leftovers as we were going out for every meal. We ate at the hotel's restaurant and it was delicious. I recommend the chicken kebabs. We didn't have a room with a view so if that's important to you, make sure to request that. My only complaint with the room was the shower. There is a half glass shower door (or wall? ) but it isn't enclosed so water gets all over the place. That was annoying. Also, after all the walking around the city we did, I wished there had been a bathtub to soak in. I don't know if there are any rooms with bathtubs. I would definitely stay here again though! It was clean and cozy. It's also about 500 steps to the subway, so conveniently located.

Great deal for a hotel thats close to everything. Rooms are clean, staff is helpful and friendly. Theres a rooftop terrace with a nice view and a bar. Overall great experience, would book again!

Hotel very close to the center of New York the price is acceptable although expensive but given the prices of other properties more than accessible, in the property there is a terrace with bar is a small but very well equipped gym you can take advantage of the Bar service directly in the room, are offered two bottles of water included in the price of the room that are remitted every day, in the room there is kettle cups prepared for coffee and tea, the restaurant service is more than positive and you can have a drink in the evening even in the bar on the first floor. The staff is friendly and friendly is always ready for any eventuality.

Very good hotel in Chelsea area. Walking distance away from Penn station, lot of NYC attraction and 1 block away from subway station. We loved that they provided umbrella to use when it was raining outside. Water bottles are also free in room. The only annoance was that the shower didn't have a door and we were afraid that water would drip out and make the floor wet. Besides the missing shower door, every else was perfect.

Nice place! Close to Penn Station, close to good food. Beds are comfortable (had the king size bed) and they have a beautiful rooftop! Great cocktails with a view of the Freedom tower. I had an issue at the restaurant during breakfast but the front desk was very nice and refunded me 100%. Good service!

The Staff was welcoming and adoring… Helped point me in the proper directions at all times and the room was nice and spacious. I like that a lot. If I ever have to come back to NYC, I'll give them my business again!

Excellent streamlined check in experience. Quiet room, reasonable quality bed and furnishings. Linens are ok, nothing great. Mini bar fridge in room fully stocked, no space to store your own items.

Mykonos Blue the restaurant in hotel Hayden was amazing! A true culinary delight with incredibly delicious authentic Greek cuisine! My favorite the grilled octopus was absolutely delicious! Hospitality and service top notch! Also a rooftop bar with incredible views of Manhattan!

Excellent attentive staff. Room had high quality bedding linens. The Mykonos Blue was an added bonus, where we dined on the best grilled octopus this side of the Atlantic! We look forward to our return. Highly recommend.

We stayed here for a two day business trip and enjoyed the space, service, and location. The front desk attendants were always helpful and friendly. The rooftop bar is nice and so is the restaurant for breakfast. I had a low floor on the street side and it was still relatively quiet. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. I would stay here again and would recommend it as well.

The first few days were good and then things went downhill very quickly. Towels weren't picked up, beds were disheveled, and there was no tidying up completed. We were constantly asking for additional towels and pillows as they weren't replenished. Housekeeping really dropped the ball and concierge didn't seem to care about the issues. I truly wouldn't recommend this place to anyone even though the location is supreme. There are definitely other places that are cleaner and with friendlier staff than Hotel Hayden.

Hotel staff was friendly. The price for parking was affordable compared to other hotels nearby, and though we ended up using valet parking, having the option to self park for even less contributed to oue decision to stay here. The location was okay. Past midnight on Sunday there was not a good selection of food nearby. However, food delivery was very fast.

It has the advantage of being in the center, the prices are high. I found it clean and quiet. It's okay to make a few days in new York.

Clean room and pleasant, helpful staff. Very reasonably priced. Minor complaint: the mattress was average at best with a springy, uneven feel. Regardless, would absolutely return—really great value in Chelsea/Midtown West area.

Hotel cool but a bit noisy if your room looks out on the street!

They were good but not great. The room size was okay and cleanliness was pretty neat and tidy. My only concern was they barely put enough of the essentials out like toiletries such as soap and they hid other's like the towels. I've stayed at places better and worse than this. I'd stay here again but as a second or third choice.

While the pictures of the hotel make it look rather swanky, that could not be farther than the truth. The rooms were tiny with sad mattresses and bed frames that slid away from the walls. There were no comforters for the beds, just a sheet, a very thin blanket and another sheet. That was not a housekeeping mistake. The pillows were tiny, the approximate size of decorative throw pillows, and they only gave 3 pillows for a bed that slept 2. When we booked the hotel the website said that if you joined the preferred club you would get Uber credit and a free drink at Starbucks, that never happened so we called the number provided on the website, the told us to call the front desk, the front desk said they could not help that we should call the number on the website. My friends also booked a room and had the same problem calling. So the rewards issue was not resolved for either of us. The room had a tiny fridge that was filled completely with a ridiculously overpriced minibar. There was no microwave. On the final, of our three nights I found a mouse walking across the floor, I also found mouse poop in my luggage (that was definitely not there before). Our final surprise was that as that when we got the final bill it was almost $150 more than expected. The total that was given when we booked the rooms online didn't include the city, state, or hotel taxes along with a myriad of other charges.

Has 4 stars only the lobby with its Porter and its welcome.
The room is… Not bad. But not a four-star. Quite small, with mediocre finishes (paints ect) shower without curtain, without heating.
Absolutely everything pays off. From the water bottle to the post-it. And not given! A small package of M&M? $9.
The rooms are not super insulated, but it's okay.
The rooftop makes 25m2 to everything broken, with cocktails to $15 and a bartender… Nice as a prison door.
I opted for a plastic bottle cranberrie of the local grocery (a mini glass eh) for $4.
Other than that, the location of the hotel is superb and the staff is too. The laundry smells good and the room service is fast!
I recommend… For a 3-star.

Was a great stay. This hotel is rather small with only around 8 rooms per floor. The rooms were very spacious by New York City standards and we had like a laminate wood floors through the room. The hotel also offers free bottle water and a continental breakfast. My only problem with the hotel was we had a king size bed on laminent floor on wheels. The could also regrout the bathroom. I would stay here again and strongly recommend still.

I love this hotel! Friendly staff, great location, clean room on 14th floor — very quiet. Plan to stay here whenever I'm in the NYC.

Great location and staff was very helpful and curtious. Our room was clean and fresh for our stay.

Nice hotel overall, although I had some issues with my room. These issues should have been fixed as they were rather obvious. I also had problems with noise in the early morning. Some construction outside started between 4-5 in the morning and kept me awake. Not the fault of the hotel as such (although windows could be more than one layer), but should be addressed.

It is a decent Hotel in a decent area. Service was good enough for my family and me after a week. All people that work here is kind and servicial.

Very friendly staff with beautiful rooms. The rooftop bar is very nice with a great view. Drink prices are high.

Overall hotel is decent. My only problems are with cleaning as we had blood splatters on the back of the bathroom door. The shower head probably has never been cleaned as it has black residue on it. The front desk is always friendly and courteous.

Pricey for what it is, and the room was perfectly clean, but otherwise it's fine.

I booked a one night stay here as a surprise birthday present for my boyfriend and also to celebrate our 6 year anniversary. We had never stayed in NYC for the night before, and the entire reason I booked this particular hotel was because I saw their brand new rooftop bar advertised on their website and their social media. When I booked the hotel in June for our September 1st stay, I called to make sure the rooftop bar would be open that particular night and I was told by someone at the hotel's front desk that it would be. A week and a half before our stay, I called the Hotel's front desk to again confirm that the rooftop bar would be open. I was told yes. Fast forward to our stay… we checked in and went up to our room and were instantly a bit disappointed because, as other reviewers have said, the Wi-Fi is horrible, we were only given two towels, and the bathroom could really use an upgrade (the faucet and shower handles were loose, the shower floor looked dirty, and there were red streaks on the wall which was odd). We then left the hotel to go out to dinner and had a great time walking around the city. Then, as was always our plan, we walked back to the hotel to spend the rest of the night enjoying incredible views on the rooftop bar. We walked into the lobby, I asked the gentleman at the front desk how to access the bar, and he told me it was closed for construction. That's all he said.

During the stay, we have lost all valuable personal items from our room (laptops, iPads, headphones, VR, etc) worth around $10, 000. The burglary was likely to have been committed by a member of the staff (key log has shown that one of them deliberated latched the door open) and the police investigation is still ongoing. Here are some shocking facts about this hotel: 1. There are no CCTV cameras in the elevators. 2. There are no CCTV cameras on all floors except the lobby. The reception assured us that there are cameras "everywhere" but that is a false statement. 3. When the police were called and entered our room (the reception refused to call police), a member of staff quickly came into our room and asked the officers "Is this really necessary? " The officers told him "Yes it is absolutely necessary, this is a crime scene for god's sake! " 4. The hotel employ temporary contract workers from a contracting company. This means you will see some workers once but might not see them ever again a couple of days later. It also extends the chain of responsibility so that the hotel management can effectively kick the ball down the road. 5. Some of the contractors don't speak English.

Dirty noisy and annoying! Seems stylish but I have been in a motel much cleaner than this place: dust on the desk, hair on the bed… The air conditioning is loud and has a low frequency that drills in my brain. Even switched off, I can hear easily the others. It makes me want to sleep in the bathroom! The desk and minibar are stuffed with NON complimentary snacks and drinks that they clearly try to tempt you with, just to spend more money on junk. And to top it up a guy comes at 2pm and knocks "Sheldon style" 3 times saying "minibar" to check if have used anything. Of course the doors are so thin that you will hear him 20 times… At $200/ night this is an absolute shame. And if you think I am picky, I have just spent 2 nights in Soho Garden, which at half the price was better than this. Just saying.

10 minutes from the Empire and 5 MN from Madison and less than 15 for Time Square.
Renovated room clean and comfortable.
Very good rate of Wi-Fi.

The stay was okay. We had to change the room two times. The first room smelled like a wet dog. In the evening I have found a tick at my leg and I am pretty sure that I have got the tick from this room! The second room from seemed clean but the AC was way too loud. At least the third room was okay. So watch out which room do you choose!

A comfortable and well located hotel in Manhattan.

Friendliness of staff, breakfast without fancy, no real bread or real fruit juice d. Orange and household over the arrival and during the stay.

Terrible service, hotel and experience. Customer Service is king everywhere in the US but this hotel. The front desk is not helpful at all, nor polite. "Did the rest of my family drop the bags here at arrival" "Why would I know? I was not working the lunch shift". Shame on you receptionist. Also, for two of our five days stay, a massive waterfall was coming down from the ceiling in the reception, probably a broken pipe, and no hot water was available for almost half a day. No apologies nor benefit was offered to apologize for all the inconveniences, NOTHING. Lastly, we even had to spend one hour at checkout to go through the final Bill as they were charging us extra $90 per room that was not supposed to be there! In summary: — horrible experience — an embarrassing staff — a bill that looked like a scam — an overpriced and not to repeat experience. Stay away.

Bar hours aren't great but the hotel is clean and the staff is nice.

Clean and had a fridge and coffee maker. Also an iron, ironing board, hair dryer and drinks. Only drawback was that there isn't a vent fan in the bathroom. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The curb appeal is nice. Really digging the outside sitting area. Kiddos.

The hotel is pretty nice. The room was clean but the faucet leaks. The biggest issue for me is that the whole street is filled with flower vendors, and I have a pollen allergy, so it's been murder on my sinuses.
