Great place to stay in NYC.

Great time had by all can’t wait for the next event.

The staff at the front desk are wearing mask. The room is clean, it has microwave and small fridge, bed is comfortable. I will recommend this hotel. I have Hyatt Points so as much as possible when I go on vacation I prefer to stay at the Hyatt.

The hotel is near at the Empire State Building, Madison Square Garden and shopping centers. Good for tourist accommodation.
The rooms were clean. The breakfast was good and staffs were nice and friendly. However, there was no exhaust in the bathroom. I suggest you install an exhaust fan in the bathroom for proper ventilation, to draw out the moisture and odors in the bathroom. Thanks.

Great location with very friendly staff. Check out the rooftop gym with great views. Easy access to all major stores, dining and cafes!

Typical NY hotel with a room about the size of your closet at home. It was clean, had a good view, but the valet parks your car several blocks away and it takes at least 30 minutes to get it. We did not try the breakfast, but they have an omelet station so you can get fresh eggs.

Great location! The most amazing view of the Empire State Building from our room that completed the entire trip! The staff were helpful & very friendly! Will definitely stay at the Hyatt House Chelse in the future!

Convenient transportation, comfortable rooms, great breakfast!

If you want to stay somewhere that’s straight-forward and unelaborate, this is the place. If you’re visiting New York, this is exactly What you’ll need if you’re going to be out and about for most of the day. The hotel is in a great area. Plenty of pharmacies, atm’s and food places within 5 minutes walking distance. I highly recommend the 2 Brothers pizza place just up the road. The staff are really fantastic. They are friendly and accommodating. I landed in JFK in the morning and made it to the hotel by noon. The front desk staff checked me in early. They even let us keep our bags in the front desk as we had a few hours between our check-out and train departure. The rooms are new, but really small. This is pretty typical for New York City, but it was just a bit surreal entering and realizing just how small the rooms really are. I stayed with one other person and it often got a little bit tight when we were both in the room. Bathrooms are new and clean for the most part. Needed to comment on this as it is a very important consideration for me when choosing a hotel. The shower was a little bit old and dirty, and could use some work. Will definitely be back to this Hyatt Property next time I go back to New York City.

Nice rooms. Set up we'll despite the small size (the size seems typical for New York). Decent breakfast, although the eggs were a bit weird. The omelets are a nice feature. The observation deck on the top floor had a nice view. Only have ice on two floors, though.

Beware of "Bait-and-Switch" operations. Convenient location, modern amenities, but total disappointment in dealing with on-site staff regarding room choice. I stayed a total of 4 nights and specifically booked a "VIEW DEN KING ROOM". The following is a photo of the room I booked, followed by a photo of the room I got. When I inquired about the difference between the room I was in and the room I intended to reserve as depicted on the Hyatt website, I was told that it was Corporate Hyatt who made a mistake and that there is no such room on the Hyatt House Chelsea property. Since I am a long time patron of Hyatt properties, I found that statement hard to believe. Why would Corporate Hyatt intentionally mislead their clients? I noticed the floor plan map behind the door in my room, and it would appear the room next to mine is the one depicted on the website. Also, the style of furniture of the room I was in was similar to those on the Hyatt website. I proceeded to call Hyatt customer service to inquire about the accuracy of photos of rooms depicted on their website. I pretty much confirmed that the statement made by the supervising staff on-site was not true. Hyatt customer service proceeded to help make this change for me, but unfortunately was not successful in doing so.

Not sure what to do now! When you have an issue with a hotel and the “general manager” is completely rude and not helpful, to the point where you’re telling her there is an issue with the ac shutting off every few hours, and she flat out accuses you of lying!?!? Then you show her video of it shutting off and she accuses you of altering the video… So long story short, we’ve been here 3 nights, and AC has been shutting off on its own periodically for three days straight. She agreed to reimbursing one nights stay. One!? She doesn’t OWN the Hyatt sooo there must be someone else we can go to!?!? Tried corporate number and it was a non working number.
Ps. Nate (engineer) and the gorgeous chief engineer have been the only nice one willing to help with a SMILE!

Pro: Wonderful hotel to stay at! Very convenient to the metro and nearby shopping places. We stayed there for close to 2 weeks and the hotel staff were friendly. Love the mini mart at the loft lobby. Very convenient for late night snacks and stuff not to mention Macdonalds is just opposite the hotel. Con: housekeeping kept forgetting to clean our room, replenishing toiletries and towels a few times. However when we call reception to inform them, they do provide the stuff you need. Overall fantastic hotel! Would definitely come back again!

This is located near many, many restaurants, and is convenient to downtown attractions such as the theater district, Ellis Island, Statue of Liberty, etc. It has space on a floor where they serve breakfast and which serves as a bar in the evening. They have a patio of sorts on the roof that provides a spectacular view of the Manhattan sky line. The only knocks are that the rooms are very tiny compared to any Hyatt House outside of Manhattan (sorta comes with the territory), and the entire 30+ floors are serviced by just two elevators, so at certain times of day you can easily wait 5 minutes or more. But for location, view and decent amenities, it is a great choice.

We found Hyatt House on Hotel Tonight while looking for a hotel to staycation in. Simple no frills hotel is what I'd describe it as. I loved the views on the terrace it was almost like I could touch the empire state building. They were unable to give us late checkout but other than that it checked off everything I look for in a hotel. The complimentary breakfast we had was absolutely incredible. Amazing omelette bar, yogurts, cereal, pancakes, eggs and so much more. Definitely recommend this hotel. Parking on the weekends is fantastic. We parked right outside and avoided the crazy garage costs.

Had the king bed room with a view on the 20th floor! Amazing view and super clean room! The rooftop deck is the only disappointing thing… it’s just a rooftop deck with a potted plant — that’s literally it. They could really use some patio furniture. Other than that, the experience was wonderful and the room was clean and nicely made up!

Great hotel in Chelsea district… super friendly staff and Lux rooms abound. Stayed on the 21 st floor with great views of the Empire state bldg. We will definitely return to the Hyatt House!

Loved our stay. Two queen beds and decent size room on sixteenth floor was an end room, so two big windows looking straight down 6th Avenue. Perfect view of World trade one and Empire State. Great roof terrace. Food was really nice. Highly recommend this hotel.

Best Hyatt House/Place I've ever stayed in. Great location a few blocks from the Empire State, right in the former flower district on 28th St, which still has a few flower shops that line the sidewalks in the mornings with their fresh flowers and greens for sale. Service is top-notch, and rooms are comfortable, modern and clean. Ours had a great view of the Empire State.

This place is the best! We loved it here thanks to Vonetra and Rich! They were welcoming, accommodating and friendly above and beyond. The stay was so far the best I have experienced in New York and I would recommend them to anyone who loves a make your own omelet breakfast and beautiful views!

The hotel was very nice and the room was very good. I went with my partner and we were on the 16th floor, the room enough for the two, clean and the nice views and the spacious bathroom. The breakfast was very good and the room was very clean. The location of the hotel was very good and the staff were very friendly. Very good choice. Very friendly staff.

Great little hotel with big rooms and great views all in all a very good experience the only bad thing was if you're late they give you a room away which was not very cool other than that the hotel gets five stars. They definitely need to work on there policy because when guests pays for a room they deserve to have that room. The hotel should not try to sell it to another customer so they can make more money I understand that they do so they can increase their revenue but that is not a correct policy which definitely needs to be looked at.

Great hotel central location walked everywhere. Super clean. The hotel bar is like a 1 star just don't go. I only went because of a noreaster and it was the worst Burger can't believe I paid for it. The rest of it was great though.

Nice clean hotel. Room was on a smaller side. The only problem was that once you leave the room sensors would turn the heat off, so being outside the whole day when it is — 15 and coming back to a super cold room was unpleasant. Once the room heats up it is nice and warm but the bathroom gets super hot, like sauna hot. They need to regulate the temperatures better. Other than that nice hotel in a convenient location.

The location is fantastic and the studio room is perfect for an extended work stay. My favourite feature is the gym located at the top of the building with a breathtaking view of the NYC skyline.

So disappointed! On the website, there is a room with a den that I booked. The pic had a dividing wall with a loveseat and sitting area. When I checked in, my room was super tiny with a desk next to the bed-no den. I called down and thought I had received the wrong room. She stated that those are stock photos on the website and the sitting area is the desk and the chair you sit on. What?!? I felt deceived. Also, the dresser had fake drawers-nowhere to put clothes. Have traveled a lot, but never felt outright lied to.

We were 13 nights, a marriage and two boys of 9 and 13 years. The hotel, a wonderful, very nice and super comfortable room for the four, a always rich breakfast and a very friendly attention. Always predisposed to help and with a big smile! Excellent location! Sometimes the elevator takes a bit, but no hurry no problem. Highly recommended. The views of the terrace and the gym are amazing! Thank you all very much!

Great hotel in the city with good breakfast and pleasant staff. The rooms are well laid out and I love having a real fridge and kitchenette!

Very clean, modern, and convenient location. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Staff is also very accommodating and helpful. Rooms are decently sized, comfortable beds, and very nice gym/complimentary breakfast is a plus.

Decent service and the room was great once it was finally ready. They were fully booked, so I couldn't check in until after 6 pm. The staff definitely made every effort to make up for the inconvenience, however.

The exercise room on the top floor is awesome, but bring sunglasses if you like running on a treadmill in the morning. Breakfast is good. The restaurant gets a little crowded, but it's manageable. Rooms are spacious for NYC!

New, comfortable Hotel. Rooms of normal size, well equipped and with nice view on the 6th Av. It is not a luxurious hotel and the complementary services are minimal (gym, breakfast place and not much else). The lobby is minimal in size.

We have more than 50 minutes waiting for our room.
We arrived at 3:00 pm and the room is not ready, they go more 50 minutes and nothing.

The pictures on the website are very deceiving. The rooms are the size of a sardine container. The first room we were placed in was placed away from the construction but it was so small. We didn't even have a drawer for our clothes. The second room was right next to the construction but better in size. Oddly enough the bathroom is huge. With a big walk in shower. Personally I would prefer a smaller bathroom and a bigger room. The construction was not too loud so we slept fine. But I used to live in Philly so I can sleep through noise. My friend is kind of a light sleeper and she slept fine. I love Hyatt hotel but will never come back to this one. If you like plants there are plant stores lining the block. The food nearby is good.

Great location. Walking distance to most of the most popular NYC destinations. Rooms are clean, functional and comfortable. Not a big fan of the breakfast buffet but that goes for all of the Hyatt House and Hyatt Place locations, not just this one. Limited selection, below average quality and always crowded. But the room rate includes breakfast and is usually low enough to justify going somewhere else for a decent breakfast. Will definitely consider staying here again.

We stayed here this week on business — not super impressed. Rooms are spacious, but not maintained well (shower especially — glass shower door didn't open or close correctly/fixtures loose), carpets stained. The AC in the room was among the loudest of any hotel I've stayed in — 3 nights with earplugs, not good. Elevator out of service when we arrived — waited 10-15 min to get to our room. Slow during other times. Bed in our room felt like a brick! The good — large room, friendly staff, very good location… but as someone who travels to make a living I won't be back.

Best experience from a hotel, ever! Incredible surprises at every turn. By far the best surprise was the amazing rooftop open deck with views of the Empire State Building, One World Trade Center and city views for days! We stayed on the 21st floor and watched the spectacular views from our bed. Additionally, the staff was all extremely friendly and helpful. Another New York surprise! The location is pretty perfect. A little ways from the Times Square masses, but close to some hip shops and restaurants along with close access to the subway. The price for the service, convenience, amenities, and views is an incredible value. Highly recommend this hotel!

Decent sized room. The hotel is quite new and it is pretty clean. The dual head shower is nice. There was construction noise next door since they are building a hotel. It's a good value for the room.

Staff nice. Elevators did not work for half a day so had to take stairs several times. Breakfast is free but below average. Room went three days without being serviced. We had no hot water for five days. All rooms external to our living space, (including our bathroom) are extremely hot. Long waits at the elevator. Had to reset key cards 3 times. Washing machine did not work. The price was nice and the rooms are very comfortable.

Good and very new place. Due to new age service can be a little strange at times. There is also work still being done that can be a bit lous in the morning. We also had some elevator issues.

Great location with friendly staff and large rooms with great views. 28th street subway stations are less than two blocks in either direction, Penn station is a 10 minute walk. Restaurants and shops a plenty. You cant go wrong staying here and I would happily return!

New build extended stay hotel with a great breakfast and a workout room with killer views.

Brand new hotel very comfortable with beautiful view of the Empire State Building. Very good reception.

Security entered room without my permission, stormed inside, didn't leave the room when I asked him too. I was undressed. He tried to indimdate me. I asked him to leave, he didn't comply. He ignored me. I threatened to leave the hotel and call the manager, then 30 seconds later he left. Women traveling alone. Stay away. They don't do proper background checks on security in short staffed NYC hotels. He had a very weird vibe. Manager was away getting food on his shift, place is a zoo.

6th Avenue is very loud. It is compounded by the never ending construction happening on 28th street. Hyatt House has exasperated this problem. This is NOT the New York experience that you're looking for. Don't stay here.

I stayed at the Hyatt House the second night it was open, and was attracted to it by a great rate — approx $150 a night inclusive of tax. I imagine this was an introductory offer as they tried to fill rooms. Pros — On the positive side the hotel is in a decent location, close to midtown but not too close, easy walking distance to tonnes of attractions. For a NY hotel the room was pretty big, and it would be a decent place to stay longer term with a kitchenette etc. The hotel has a pretty cool rooftop gym facility and an expansive outdoor balcony area. They could do with putting some furniture + plants out there as it's pretty barren. Most of the staff I interacted with were polite, friendly, and informative. Cons- The hotel opened two days before I arrived, and I feel that they weren't quite ready to open — the hotel was still a bit of a building site, there was a weird smell of sewage in the lobby, and the building was obviously completed on the cheap… the rooftop area's paving slabs were not secure which kinda is pretty scary when you're 20+ floors up. Even though the hotel is new it already felt pretty beat up and I don't think it will age well. Another issue is the fact that there's 150 rooms over 20+ floors and only two elevators. Sometimes I waited up to 5 minutes to get an elevator, especially during the morning. One of the biggest annoyances for me was a very bright light at the control panel of the room which couldn't be turned off. It was really bright.
