Room was Clean, Bed was comfortable and room fairly large… all for $85/night.

I'm traveling so I make a reservation online. (I'm about 30 minutes away) An it said it will hold the reservation for 15 minutes so I call Econo Lodge an ask I'll be there in 30 minutes will this be a problem holding the room for the extended time they said no it's not a problem. I arrive there an once they find out it's a rewards night they have NO VACANCY! I'm like really! They are very UNPROFESSIONAL! EXTREMELY RUDE AN NOT ACCOMDATING! It was after midnight they pretty much told me it's my problem they DIDN'T CARE!

Came up fishing, plenty of parking and electric. Staff is great. Would definitely stay again.

Do not stay here! Do not support this business! The general manager has no idea what customer service is. We booked a room through Priceline and tried to cancel less than 5 minutes later because it was listed as being in Cornwall, ON Canada but the hotel is in NY. We didn’t want to cross the border twice but the manager charged us and would not refund the charge. I was told I would need to go through Priceline and they said that they had no problem refunding the charge but the hotel refused to. I tried calling the hotel and was told there was nothing they could do when they could easily refund the charge. They must be struggling financially to have to steal money from people.

Stayed at the econolodge in Massena NY, quite place very clean your average value hotel. Offered decent pricing for workers staying from out of town.

We stayed here for 3 night. Clean room, very spacious room, manager are very friendly to helping customer. I recommend to staying there.

For 1 or 2 day stay it is ok. It is far away from malls and eating places. Even these dumb people at motel also dont have anything to eat. Just candy bars and small chips? very disappointed.

Stay in this motel is shame. Do they ever clean dusty carpets? kind of spooky environment. Unfriendly staff.

Doug at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating! The next day front desk, not so much.
However our room was very clean and I LOVED the waffle machine for the continental breakfast!

Went to room and found toilet clogged. Reported it to a guy that resembled Santa behind the desk. He said there are no more rooms and handed me a plunger. Find a better place.

Now This motel is not like it was before! Outside Of Motel front door, cigarette buds everywhere. The front lawn is beautiful but tables never been cleaned. Motel inside is clean but Room carpets smell so dusty. Do they clean carpetes ever? Now it looks like run buy bunch of lazy people now.

In morning continental breakfast, make sure muffins and bread are fresh. Coffee tastes like a boiled water. Try "lakeview motels" instead. It is just 3 miles away from it.

Rooms were awesome service was great.

Great hotel! Minor glitch with the TV when we checked in, but the staff were eager to fix it and make sure we were comfortable. Slightly dated decor — but all around comfortable and spacious rooms.

First I would like to say that the staff are nice. When I travel I expect the customer service to be at a top level and they did not disappoint me. I traveled with my fur babies and Doug was very nice. Talked to him and even gave him a pet. There is a small courtyard I guess in the front. Chairs and grass which is nice to relax in. Main level is guaranteed with pets so that was a bonus as well. The room was a decent size as there was a long wardrobe for all our stuff and a small flat screen TV. The room had a microwave and mini fridge which we did not ask for nor pay extra for so this was a pleasant surprise as I have dog food to keep cold. Table and chairs made it great to for bring in a late snack. I was also very surprised to see a charge station on the bed side table that not only had 2 plugs but also 2 USB ports as well. It was great. the carpets are stained which makes it feel a little on the dirty side. And I of course always check the mattress seems and found no B. B. But found dirt which is a little unnerving. However overall the room and bathroom were clean the grounds were clean as well. I would probably give the hotel another try do to price and convinience from my home. But keep in mind that the price is for budget hotels… the breakfast was small as well which I understand low rates you don't want to throw ur revenue out the window kn F and Bay. A few labels and options though could go a long way.

Basic amenities, clean rooms and reasonably priced.

I stayed here 2 nights this weekend and I was impressed with the cleanliness of this hotel. We stayed in a smoking room since that was the only room available and it didn't smell of smoke at all! The breakfast was plain but overall a great experience!

Fine room! Bathroom was clean, room was ample and the microwave and fridge were both useful. The TV was large, and cable wasn't that crappy hotely fake cable, so Doctor Who was partaken. Wifi was ample, and allowed me to connect to Xbox live and play games. They serve a continental breakfast which hit the spot. And it's consistent, I've stayed here several times and I've not been disappointed.

Rooms were nice, but feel like it's more on par with 50-60$ rooms at other chains. It does look like they are renovating and our room was reasonably nice. Spacious! Bed was OK, really follows suit with 3 stars. One downside — went to front desk very early one morning and attendant was full out asleep and I was unable to wake her.

The heat in my room didn't work but other than that not a bad hotel.

It was the nicest Econolodge I have ever stayed at or seen. I usually steer away from Econolodge but this one wasn't bad at all.

This is the only place I will stay when I visit my family. Great rooms and great service!

Do yourself a favour and DO NOT stay here! You get what you pay for. This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The bed was awful — pillows were flat — the staff were rude and unhelpful — toilet didn't flush — extremely loud well past midnight — snow was pile over the windows — continental breakfast consist of a waffle or fruit loops — smelt of smoke — furniture was from the 70's, as was the television, drapes and bed covering. I would NEVER stay in this hotel again — even if I had a life-time of free stays here. The hotel proudly displays a plaque stating it's Gold Standards, when I asked for what, the desk clerk (VERY RUDE MAN) said "I don't know". When I asked for the manager, rude man said "He might be in tomorrow, if I wanted to wait"

This used to be a good motel. However, there has been a management change for the worse. We were not at all impressed with our stay this time and on our next trip to Massena will be staying elsewhere. The room seemed clean except for the tub in the bathroom. The fitted sheets for the bed kept coming loose. I couldn't log into the WI-FI connection that was supposed to exist. I talked to two other people and one had been able to use the WI-FI and the other was not. The nice, small restaurant next to the motel is closed so you have to drive into Massena for meals except for the sketchy continental breakfast offered in the office area. The yard needed work — grass uncut, etc.

I had to stay due to a long road trip. The blonde lady was very rude and deos not know how to do Customer service. The price of the room was crazy for a small town of the size of massena new york… I mean it cost 72.18 a day to stay there. House keeping was awesome. The only way I would recommend someone to sdtay there is if u check in when doug is there. He was great check in person. The overnight checkin person is very rude and plain jackass… So if u wann stay there the that is ur choice but I can say I will not ever if I had to choose tooo.
