Great pool!, amazing rooms, nothing bad so far!

I do not recommend especially this Motel that allows their employees to steal money & personal items from the guest's with no consequences & no offer to pay back the money or items their employees have taken I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS MOTEL THEY EMPLOY THIEVES & COVER FOR THEM
*The rooms are clean however that's a strong downfall of the staff being allowed to take their pick of your personal items.

Rooms very clean, and front desk staff super friendly. We had a very pleasant experience.

Rooms were clean staff was friendly free breakfast good a lot too close from.

This place has very friendly people working I really enjoyed that the workers was very nice to my husband he doesn't always know where he is or what he is doing for me big thanks.

We have our safety meetings and classes there and it's always a nice place it's always clean and I love the breakfast.

This place had a great breakfast. The outdoor pool area was especially nice — the pool furniture was comfy, the pool had a sloped entry, and we used the gas grill to make dinner. The staff was friendly, the room clean, and the bed comfy. I would stay here again.

Decent facilities and nice rooms. The air conditioning was either out or didn't work well on the main floor in the work out room and during breakfast. Breakfast was good and had a lot of options. Quiet location.

Hot tub didn't work. TV in one room kept going out. Elevator malfunctioned. Room wasn't ready on time. For the price, I would expect more.

Absolutely loved it. The pool was awesome. My kids enjoyed swimming. Rooms were clean staff was nice. Had a good time.

Quiet, clean, friendly staff. They had pizza and doughnuts a couple nights a week. Definitely one of the best hotels in Carlsbad.

This is a nice new hotel. The Wi-Fi was good, as was the breakfast. The pool looked nice, but we didn't have a chance to try it out. It was a little expensive compared to hotels in other cities around carlsbad, but I think that the oil worker clientele has probably driven the prices up.

No security cameras. I was broken into on their property and they could have cared less. The food is decent and the maid service forgets toiletry items half the time. Sheets are thin, pillows are soft and the bed is good.

The hotel was clean and nice. Rooms were in good shape and everything was functional. The hot breakfast was just average, but it was free. The free Wi-Fi worked flawlessly. Location is great if you're there for the National Parks. It's 25 minutes to the Caverns and 45 to Guadalupe Mountains.

Oilfield worker here. The staff is excellent and works well with our unpredictable schedule. They are very accommodating and never give us problems. I have yet to see a single staff member have a negative attitude and I’ve been here 3 weeks a month for the past 4 months. The rooms and furniture are clean and well taken care of. Oh and there’s free popcorn everyday.

The hotel is by far the nicest I have ever visited but the experience is ruined by the incompetence of the the staff. For the​ past year in several occasions one lost reservation after another. When they get people competent to do their job it will be a joyous place to stay.

Hotel was nice and clean, the staff was fairly helpful. The beds we're pretty firm, a little too firm. The pillows were awful. Like a brick. The selection at breakfast would have been ok if they hadn't been running low on almost everything half way through. The staff tried her best to keep up but with a Saturday crown you had to be really fast to get what you wanted. Our stay wasn't unpleasent but a few small changes would have made it really great.

Was a overnight stay for work related purposes. Very clean, friendly staff, good a. C. Comfortable quiet bed (no spring noises), medium to firm pillows, ok coffee, the breakfast was served earlier than posted which was to my benefit. Could only get fruit and orange juice due to dietary restrictions, still good though. It did take a while to check out but nothing crazy. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

I travel to map of La Quintas across the country. This is one of the finest hotels that I stayed at in a long time. I 100% would stay here again. The rooms were clean and updated. Breakfast was plentiful and well organized. Rest assured if you book this hotel you will not be dissatisfied.

Appeared Fresh & New On first approach, the facility exterior appeared fresh and new. I thought the building might have been newly completed within the past year. When I inquired, I was told the facility was built three years ago. This place understands facility maintenance is what I thought. The room was equally fresh and new in its appearance and functionally. We appreciate the La Quinta policy to accept dogs. Our two small dogs also enjoyed their stay. Note: Some pet owners who disregard the solid deposits left behind by their dogs, will blatantly do so within a few feet of the bags and waste can station provided by La Quinta. The scattered dog waste seen around the building's perimeter provides ample proof & definition of irresponsible pet ownership! La Quinta trusts us pet owners to clean up after our pets. Don't be surprised when pets are no longer allowed at La Quinta!

The hotel is very nice. A little expensive. Breakfast could have been better.

The hotel is very clean and seems to be well maintained. However, upon arrival we were informed that they did not have a room to honour our reservation for a double bed and that they would arrange for a room at a dive hotel down the road. When we pressed further for an explanation about why our 2+ month old reservation would not be honored the receptionist said it was because we made our reservation through the corporate website. This was unacceptable because we were meeting family at this hotel. And, we told them we had zero interest in staying at a much lower quality hotel for the same price. We told them we were going to contact La Quinta customer support directly to get this ridiculous situation resolved. At that point, the receptionist miraculously found a room with a pullout sofa and a king bed. I simply don't understand why the receptionist simply didn't offer the room with the pullout rather that attempt to move us to another hotel. We almost always try to stay at La Quinta when we go on this trips two or three times a year. But, this was likely the worst treatment I have ever had with a hotel. I'll still consider La Quinta in the future but, I am wary about using this hotel in the future.

Summary based on one two-night stay: — ok room, though we were placed across from a very noisy ice machine, which I had explicitly asked to avoid. Too much trouble to move, however — very good breakfast with choices not generally scene in buffets at this price point — easy parking — ok service (see comment about noisy room) Recommended in this area. By the way, we considered staying in Whites City, much closer to the park, but, in the end, this location was more convenient to everything else and the road between Carlsbad and the Caverns was good.

Clean, well appointed rooms.

The room was nice but what happened to us on Dec. 23 was not nice. Our car was broken into and all our Christmas gifts were stollen. The hotel has no video surveillance. I was told by management they were not allowed to have it. Always stay where there is video surveillance.

Don't trust the cleaning staff. Management was outstanding.

Very clean rooms at an affordable rate.

Stayed at the Carlsbad La Quinta back in August and found the accomendations excellent. The breakfast was very good. The staff was very helpful. I want to thank especially a Mr. Jump who went out of his way to serve Me and my family. Thank you Mr. Jump and the rest of the staff at La Quinta for a very pleasant stayl.
