Clean and reasonable. Kitchenette does not have pots, pans, cutlery, or dishes. Friendly helpful staff and management. Maintenance man is very nice and is very attentive.

Rooms were very clean. Not enough pillows and they were very flat. Breakfast was your typical waffle, cereal and coffee.

In Carlsbad, NM. Room was fine. Clean, not the fanciest, but we were not expecting it to be. Breakfast was scarce. The rate was high considering the quality, but I assume it was because it's a tourist area during the summer.

We stayed here while visiting Carlsbad caverns. This place was over priced for what is offered. The rooms are old with faded curtains and carpets. The towels and sheets seemed like they had been washed a million times and we're musty smelling. The breakfast offered is milk with cereal or wafels. No protein. The staff seemed nice enough. It was not a family friendly inn. They did not have a portable crib or high chair for breakfast.

Nasty place my family stayed there, May 28th. Stains on the sheets, place need to be maintained. Food was ok. For the price I paid I wanted real OJ. NO ice in the machine. Bugs in the bathroom. Fridge mildew. Lessons learned check rm before you pay.

Way too expensive, but as apparently everything here. If we didn't want to visit the Caves, we would have kept driving. Food option Only in 1 1/2 Miles.

! Great Western is not Best Western! The quality of both is dramatically different! This place was good deal considering very high prices in the area but that is the only good thing. Otherwise it is old and not really clean. Similar motels are somewhere around $50 a night every where else.

Dirty rooms, stains on the bed, sheets and floors. Dirty shower. Found a syringe under the mattress. Only reason why I'm giving it 2 stars is because the guy offered to switch rooms for us. So, fairly decent customer service. They need to replace furniture and remodel this hotel. It definitely has potential, but I'd recommend staying in a Marriott or La Quinta. I mean, super 8 would probably have nicer rooms.

Not as advertised. Pool and hot tub closed. Breakfast was make your own waffles.

Price acceptable, left due to room smelled of cigareets, old and stain furniture and floorings were also stain and worn. Bedding was washed but extremely worn. This hotel not suitable for a family. Was overrun by hard working derrick hands mingling in the parking lot after work!

Do not stay here. Rooms are over 100$ a night and they are so beyond nasty. We stayed here 2 nights as a family. My husband's company put us up here for those 2 nights. The rooms stink like mold. The owners clearly do the very minimum to keep up the hotel. The curtain had bald patches the door had huge gaps big enough for bugs to just walk in, outlet covers were broken, water damage stains on ceiling and walls, bathroom fan was hanging by wires, the beds were so hard I wanted to sleep in the car. The 2 pillows were so old and flat — completely useless. I kept hearing a water dripping sound around the sink area but could never find it. I think it was in The wall. The sink light and The bathroom light were connected, so my husband had to get ready for work in The dark to not wake The kids with The light. This was just a dumb design. The indoor pool is just that, a pool inside a building. It's not heated so it was very cold and I was never able to figure out how to turn on the pool building lights. Once it gets dark you can't see in the building. I never looked at their idea of free breakfast after seeing the condition of the room I highly doubt they offer anything worth mentioning. They do have plenty of hand written notices all over the "lobby " stating their fees for missing towels, pillows, and such. Also pets are an extra 10$ a night but if you don't tell them it's a hundred dollars and the owners are very nosey.

We were there in off season so not crowded. Suite we were in had bed area separate from living room with kitchenette. Breakfast included, included toast, cereal, muffins & make your own waffles & beverages.

Very nice, very clean. We got suites which worked great and they were quite roomy. The staff was very friendly as well.

This place was good for budget accommodations, and the family who run it are all very nice. However, the rooms were not the cleanest, and not modern by any means (but again, budget accommodations), and while there was complimentary breakfast in the morning, it could have used some yogurt or hard-boiled eggs in the way of protein — it was all carbs otherwise.

This place Is a toilet. Enjoy the relaxing sounds of insects in your room and the buzz of tweaker traffic and the excitement of watching your vehicle to prevent theft, LA without the rush hour traffic.

This place is very clean and a nice place to stay. The staff is wonderful. Is family owned and operated and I cannot say anything but nice things.

Pulled up and knew we were in trouble when the entrance had broken blinds in the window. The lights in the bathroom of our room were out. We slept, got up and out as quickly as we could. I would recommend anywhere else.

Clean sheets. Shabby & dingy. The only seat was a disgusting stained chair. Lampshade stuck together with tape! Phone broken, ceiling fan broken, no plug for bath when my daughter needed a bath. We were told we couldn't have a room far away from the road as all of the rooms furthest away from the road were occupied by mostly local workers who come, & go all hours of the night! Making our stay also disturbed throughout the night by the noise of engines roaring either arriving or leaving. This has completely put us off Prebooking as we would never have pulled into here once we saw what it actually really looked like!

Talk about false advertising… it looks nothing like the photos they have on their web site. The rooms were dirty and restrooms smelled. The owners were rude. There was no way we were going to stay there. Unfortunately they charged my card for the first night stay because of their 2 day cancellation policy they wouldn't budge on giving us our money back. How are we supposed to know how their rooms looked and their service is before we get there? They shouldn't even get 1 star! Don't use booking. Com either. Like I said how was I supposed to know 2 days before I got there how it was going to be.

Stayed at this motel service was excellent but the browsing was bad over all customer service was good. Was here for vacation with my kids to go to the Carlsbad cavern.

Experience was great, people where friendly and room was clean and nice.

FIRST AND FOREMOST, This hotel has the absolute worst internet connection I have EVER used, I can not stay connected to ANYTHING for more than a minute! They are also very rude when it comes to customer service, once they have your money they could care less about the conditions, concerns, or issue you may have with the services that they allegedly provide! There are several hotels in the area, my suggestion is to find a better hotel than this one claims to be!

Ever get the feeling you've been cheated? Do not under any circumstances stay in Carlsbad if you can help it. iIf Bakersfield is the armpit of America then Carlsbad is the athletes foot. Needless to say that this place is an overpriced, badly furnished, unfriendly hole. You've been warned :-/.

Not terrible, I've stayed in way worse, I came in with low expectations and it's about what I thought. I'm during the off season and paid $80+tax which is over priced but then all of Carlsbad is. I got a lg room with a king bed and a circa 1980's green tafada pull out. The cable works, hot shower, microwave, mini fridge and Wi-Fi isn't the best but it works. Like I said not bad for a no-tell-motel.

Terrible experience. Regretted this decision in. The 16 min. It took us to get to the room and back but you can only get a refund w/i 15. No less than 7 dead flies on the walls and somehow the picture above the bed. Walls were filthy and the smell was terrible, terrible! Spend your 100$ elsewhere.

If you are a woman traveling at night DO NOT COME HERE! The doors are to the outside and keys are very inconsistent at opening the door. You are supposed to just swipe the key in front of an area of the door and it lets you in. Took me 10 tries at 10:00 at night. I've never been so scared.

It is definitely an older hotel. But the room was spacious and clean; and the air blows REALLY cold. For a last minute room, it was good.

If I could give this place a zero star review I would. Simply put, this room looks as though it Rents by the hour; stained carpet, beat up furniture, OLD blankets and pillows. I am actually glad I don't have a black light with me because it really looks like its a place that would rent by the hour. The night auditor was a complete prick. He became angry because I was reading the room rental agreement paid for by my company. HORRIBLE! The worst stay I have EVER had.
