Remodeled rooms are okay. It's a motel with a lot of loud oilfield trucks and workers who like to jam out in the parking lot. That combined with paper thin walls makes it a place I wouldn't recommend if you want a good night's rest. Breakfast was free but limited and crowded. Wifi was terrible when it did connect for 10 seconds.

Although the only room they had available was a smoking room, the smell was not overwhelming. Very comfy bed, shower was awesome. For a last minute reservation the price was worth it.

My husband, myself, and our dog stayed here for visiting the Caverns. We chose this hotel mainly for it being dog friendly, which it is. Overpriced for a Days Inn but its a tourist area so that's expected. The updated room was surprisingly very nice. The second day the bathroom got a very sour smell, probably from poor ventilation. Half of the hotel seemed to be taken by oil industry workers who get up at 5 am and have loud trucks. We were on the 2nd floor which was a pain with the dog, but the walls are thin and the floors were squeaky so maybe 2nd floor is best. They did put us on an end unit near a staircase which was nice if they did that for the dog. Be aware — there is hardly any grassy areas for the dog to go potty if that is what they are used to. We had to work on using gravel for potty!

It's a Days Inn. Little pricy for what it is but I'm guessing that's pretty standard for the area since there's likely high demand with all the oil workers. Only real complaint is that half the bathroom is with the rest of the room. Toilet and shower are in a tiny room and the mirror and sink are for some reason attached with the rest of the room even though it looks like you could easily just throw the door in the entrance to the mirror and sink area.

Clean rooms, free breakfast and an inside swimming pool w/ hot tub is nice as well —

Would not recommend: First room was overpoweringly scented of chemicals made to get rid of the smoke smell, but just made it worse. Second room had a toilet with issues, and a hair on the wall of the shower longer than any 5 of mine or my son's put together. Wi-Fi was undependable Place gets the second star, because the woman at the front desk was friendly.

Super clean!. You can tell the owner really takes pride in his hotel!. He was very nice and so was his employee great experience.

Nice, clean rooms, pet friendly (very big plus when it comes to booking a room because my dogs travel with me). Large selection for breakfast. Expensive, but that is because of the oil field. Lots of truck parking. If you are a member of Wyndham Rewards it helps with the cost of the room.

I've stayed at Days Inns for about 110 days this year. The best rate they would give me was $139 plus tax (yep, for a Day's Inn). The biggest complaint is that the room smelled terrible of smoke. It was also somewhat dirty. I called the front desk to complain about the smell and was told that they couldn't move me but would probably be able to give me a partial refund. That did not happen. I do not recommend this motel.

It has a good breakfast and I cannot complain about the bed or room whatsoever. I was expecting a decent place that needed some help or had some minor issues. But this place was spacious, clean, good bed, lots of room to spread your stuff out and didn't feel cramped. Would highly recommend.

We stay here EVERY SINGLE TIME we stay in Carlsbad! Great hot breakfast in the morning nice up to date rooms. Always feel so welcome!

Good, helpful service, both at check-in and check-out. The pool and hot tub were nice, especially after hiking down and back up Carlsbad Caverns. Hot breakfast had good choices. The only thing that was bad was we were in the end room, next to the semi truck parking lot and it was very, very loud between 3-7am when the trucks were leaving. In all, the room was nice and clean, and the fridge and microwave oven were useful.

The location was perfect for going to the caverns in the morning. Hot breakfast included eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy (I don't know how good they wwre, I didn't have them) and a self serve pancake machine. Press the button and it cooks and spits out 2 pancakes! The only negative is no elevator, and hauling our luggage up and down the stairs was a pain.

Not impressed. $170 bucks a night for a room where the bathroom door doesn't shut, microwave shorts out and the Wi-Fi doesn't work. Drive an hour north to Roswell and get a room for a third of the price that's twice as nice.

We stayed here for one night. Our room was clean, well kept-up and more than adequate. The beds were comfortable, and we had a good night's sleep. The staff were friendly and helpful. This is not a fancy hotel, but if you're looking for a decent-quality place to stay to get a good night's sleep, I'd recommend it.

Room was a recently converted smoking room so it smelled heavily of cleaning supplies, which is better than the alternative. Very nice bathroom, comfortable bed, convenient location. Breakfast selection was a little sparse, but the food was fine.

The room was great for the price compared to other hotels in Carlsbad, NM. The staff was friendly and answered every question I had with a smile. Everything was very clean and I enjoyed my stay. The water pressure in the shower was high, which is a plus in my opinion. I will definitely recommend staying at the Days Inn Carlsbad to anyone visiting Carlsbad, NM.

Nice, less expensive place for a little family of 3. The bed was pretty comfortable; the TV was a decent size; the bathroom was pretty small. Clean place and the blackout curtains helped us sleep in later after a long drive. There was a microwave and a mini-fridge, but the fridge didn't included a freezer, unfortunately. Overall, we really liked our 2 night stay here.

As a Wyndham rewards member we used points to stay at the Days Inn in Carlsbad. The rooms have just been remodeled and they look great. However, there was hair in our bed. Disgusted we called the front desk and they gave us another room. More hair in the bed. At this point to property owner got involved and told us to leave. I asked for another room since we had no where else to go. They gave us a third room… more hair. At this point they asked us to leave their property. We checked out and ended up dropping $170 for a night at the La Quinta. I cannot tell you how frustrated and angry I am. We have been longtime Wyndham Timeshare owners and have NEVER had a problem with their resorts. Our experience with their hotels has been far from good.

Has a big sign that says 'recently remodeled' but the WORST most uncomfortable lumpy bed I have ever slept in. Breakfast was fine and staff were pleasant, buy I would not recommend it to anyone. While rooms were nonsmoking, the outside coorider reakednof cigarettes.

It was great! They served breakfest every morning and the hotel room was beautiful.

Very pleased at how courteous the staff was and how clean it is. Plus you can bring your pet for a small fee! Days Inn is always high in my list of hotel choices.

Rooms are clean, internet is fast. Hotel is newly renovated so rooms have approximately 1 billion plugs and built in usb chargers sprinkled around as well as modern furnishings and nice TV's. The breakfast is lacking but the breakfast attendant is very nice and kind, a real treat at 6 a. M. My team had no issues with the fast and friendly front desk either. Its a great deal if you need to stay in Carlsbad for work like we did.

The staff was so friendly and helpful. The room had such a comfortable bed, was clean and didn't smell of gross cleaning products. The pool was warm and the jacuzzi was so relaxing. The breakfast was really good considering it was a hotel breakfast. I was very pleased with our experience there.

Excellent experience. I was a bit nervous when I saw the outside (I'll admit I can be a bit high maintenance, ) but the interior did not disappoint. The room was very clean and newly remodeled and the service was fantastic. The free Wi-Fi had no problem streaming Netflix. The general manager, Divyang Chevdawala, was super nice and made me feel very comfortable. I will go again if I'm in the area. For the price it is probably the best deal in Carlsbad! I would recommend it to a friend.

Days inn was very nice the room we stayed in was great me and my husband enjoyed are time @ the room the bad was great very soft and comfortable we had a good night sleep the staff @days inn was very friendly we would highly recommend days inn to friends and family, and we would recommend Carlsbad to them as well.

I could hear other guests throughout the night. Did not work the internet. We were not allowed to llevsr breakfast avel fourth.

Was a great hotel stay. Very comfortable bed and nice new furniture. Will stay on next visit to town.

They are in the middle of a refurbish and we requested a non-smoking room on the bottom floor because of the ease of moving in and out our luggage and other items. The manager warned us that the room was not refurbished, but we were okay with that. After looking at the room (which I strongly suggest you always do), he undersold it. We were more than okay with what we received for the discounted price of $119/night. The manager was great helping us pick the right room for our needs. We looked at two prior to this one and everything was better than described. We decided to choose this place because of the indoor pool and spa because we were stuck in town due to the "Goliath Blizzard". Hot chocolate and coffee were available all day and the staff was absolutely great! There were several places to stay in the immediate area and we chose this place because of the price point and the indoor pool. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable (for an unrefurbished room). The only reason this place didn't receive 5 stars was because there was one hair on the bathroom floor (that wasn't ours) and the pool was advertised as heated, but was still too cool to get into. The customer service of the staff was great so that helped with our rating.

Got a suite and it nice and roomy, clean, and place i'd stay again.

Arrived late (about 11pm) the girl at the front was nice and helpful. We had a room upstairs that looked brand new inside (I also noticed the next morning that some rooms downstairs had been completely gutted and were in the process of being remodeled. ) Everything was clean and fresh. For the price, I think this is about the best you're going to find in Carlsbad. The motel had plety of parking and was quiet at night. I will be staying here again if I ever find myself in Carlsbad again.

It's your average motel, at an above-average price. We checked in at 1:30 am and the clerk gave us a late check out until noon. Housekeeping was still banging on the door at 9am. Then, at 10:30, the front desk clerk called and said we had to leave by 11. I told her we had a 12 checkout and she argued with me, telling me she can't do that and that she was going to call the owner. What a hassle.

Clean comfortable room at a fair price. Made the reservation on the road, check in was quick and easy. Standard hotel breakfast bar.

In early August we made reservations for August 23rd. My wife thought it odd that they charged our credit card immediately, but thought little of it. When we made reservations, we asked for a late checkout because we had our dog with us and we had plans to visit Carlsbad Caverns, where dogs are not allowed, in the early morning. "No problem. We'll schedule you for a 1 pm checkout. " On the 24th we arrive. No reservation was in the system. I give my confirmation number. "Oh, we had you checking in earlier in the month. " I explained that was the date I made the reservation. The general manager came down. He apologized and said he had an employee who wasn't competent who made the error. She was gone now and we could stay that night. I mentioned to him the late checkout. He said it wasn't in the system. The best he could do was a noon checkout. I explained the reason I was staying there was because they accepted pets and we were going to Carlsbad Caverns the next day and that we didn't want to leave our dog in a hot car. The general manager's response was basically he didn't give two shits. Carlsbad Caverns had a dropoff for pets and I should use that. He had the customer service skills of a trashcan. I got a refund and went up the street to the Best Western, where they went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable, along with the late checkout. Now, I can say this with confidence. I wouldn't let my dog sleep there.

New beds nice service good people. Wonderful breakfast very clean. Came during raining session so indoor pool a little cloudy understandable. Non smoking room was a non smoking room. Very satisfied.

Came to Carlsbad on an impromptu trip with a friend from out of the country, and chose this motel for it's reasonable rates… We were so impressed by the quality of the accommodations that I had to write a review. The rooms were immaculate, the staff friendly, and the pool/hot tub area was open until 10pm for the kids to take a dip before turning in for the night. In the morning the free continental breakfast was anything but the traditional continental breakfast… homemade waffles, cereals, bagels, any number of juices along with coffee and milk — I don't eat this well at home! Friendly staff made the stay fantastic, and I would highly recommend the Days Inn Carlsbad to any traveler who finds themselves in need of a room in Carlsbad — Thanks to all the wonderful staff!
