It has poor service has no breakfasts.

We called this morning & spoke with Yvette about possibly canceling our reservation due to our daughter feeling a bit ill. Yvette was attentive and caring during our conversation. Although not 100%, our child felt better a few hours later & we proceeded with our 8 hour trek to the Hampton. Upon entering our room, we found a care package of Powerade, coloring book/crayons, Lysol & snacks with a sweet note from the Hampton Family wishing our child feel better soon. This is truly great customer service & I’ll be sure to share your thoughtfulness with family & friends. Great job & thank you Hampton Family/Carlsbad, NM!

We had awesome service during our stay from the moment we walked through the front doors to the comfortable and extremely clean room. Sarah was the one to check us in that evening and was extremely wonderful. Would definitely stay here again when in town.

Very nice Hampton Inn. Rates are crazy high, but its a Boomtown, and it is what it is. Room was large, very nice, and clean. No complaints there. :::However:::… At checkin, we asked the evening front desk folks for a late checkout (flight crew with an evening takeoff the next day). We asked for 3, they said they could probably do 2pm… we knew 3 was a stretch, thanked them for the accommodation, and went to bed. The PROBLEM occurred when the morning manager (? ) called the room, waking me up, at 7:07AM to loudly proclaim that she couldn’t believe the night crew gave us a 3pm checkout (nope… it was 2, lady). So she says 1 is all she can do. That is FINE, of course… but why are you calling people who asked for a late checkout at 7 in the freaking morning to do something you could have done hours later… and to bag on your coworkers in the process. So… 3 stars that could have been 5.

Atmosphere was great. Very relaxed place to spend time with family.

I’m Tracey’s mom and part of the “stranded” family who were welcomed at Hampton inn last night at checkin by Les, who hearing about our ordeal, went above and beyond to help us and make us comfortable.
This morning at breakfast, the staff all had heard what happened to us and once again, as Tracey said in her review, couldn’t be more helpful. Even offering for one of the ladies to get us to the bus stop (whole other story as part of our ordeal). The girl at the front desk was fabulous also.
These guys don’t always have easy jobs, but the way all the people at this hotel respond to guests is amazing. We were truly blessed to have made our reservations at this Hampton Inn. Oh, and BTW, one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed in, super comfortable beds too.

Thank god for the wonderful people at this Hampton hotel. On our road trip coming from Houston we hit a huge pothole outside pecos Texas and blew two of our tires. When we arrived at this Hampton hotel with our car in tow the staff here has gone over and above for our family. With offers to drive us to the bus stop, buy our dinner while we wait for a ride in their lobby, and just constantly check on us we are speechless and humbled by such kindness. Thank you for being a blessing to a family during a crazy time.

I haven't been a customer, or toured this facility yet, but I have seen the building from the outside and been inside the lobby. Everything looks well taken care of and clean. The best thing I can say about this hotel is it has a great location. Chilies and Walmart are readily accessible neighbors just a short walk away.

We stayed here for three nights in Carlsbad and thought we were well taken care of. The family enjoyed the indoor pool and the kids enjoyed the nightly free cookie and lemonade. It was clean and the decorations for the Christmas holidays were a nice addition. If only this place wasn't so expensive!

Expensive for what you get which is a normal Hampton Inn experience. Expensive is a reflection on the local economy which is currently seeing an oil and gas boom. Good for the town, not good for the traveler but it is what it is.

The Hampton is awesome. Staff is we'll trained and very professional.

This is a very nice hotel. The rooms are cimfortable. The free breakfast is tasty and the staff are friendly.

Right before we got there, a lightning strike shut out power to most of the town, making our late evening check in very difficult, especially with other guests needing help, and asking questions. The lady at the desk was calm and helpful. Could have been a difficult situation, but she handled it with professionalism.

This hotel was amazing! We had complained about another hotel and got a bag of goodies for each of our 2 rooms! The pool was ginormous, and the hot tub was tiny, but other than that, it was amazing!

Hotel was nice. Free breakfast. Big pool. Rooms were clean with mini fridge and microwave. Train tracks across from the hotel could wake you up if you sleep light or even average. Management was very nice and polite. Your average hotel.

Hampton Inn & Suites in Carlsbad, New Mexico is the best I have ever been. I met their GM — Marissa while eating breakfast in the lobby. Kathy, their breakfast chef is so extremely nice and very kind. I noticed how all the employees are so pleasant and attentive to all the guests. I've been to many other Hampton Inn & Suites around the US but this one is the only one that give my 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Rating. If I ever come back to Carlsbad, New Mexico, I will definitely stay here again.

Stayed here a couple nights while visiting Carlsbad caverns. Arrived before check in and was able to get into a room with no wait. Very friendly staff all over. Light refreshments in the afternoon and coffee available all day. Good breakfast consisting of waffles, cereal, oatmeal and other items. Quite room with comfortable beds. Relaxing pool and hit tub. Would stay here again!

This hotel is well worth the price. The gym, though sparse on equipment, is clean and well maintained. The pool facility is very nice. The staff is incredibly friendly. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and always clean. The complimentary breakfast is well stocked and delicious. They always have coffee ready yo serve all day and even put out lemonade and fruit punch with freah baked cookies. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff was incredible! The hotel was awesome! I loved the blankets, they were so warm. There was a lot of noise from kids running around, but that was to be expected for 4th of July weekend. Our car battery was dead when we were getting ready to check out, the maintenance man offered to help give us a boost. It was a great mini-vacation, worth the price even on peak demand. I also saw the front desk girl mopping the floor on down time because it was dirty from people walking from the pool area. Loved this property.

Great place to stay that is only about 35 minutes from the Caverns. Chile's is right across the opening with a Walmart next door. They also start to serve their standard breakfast at 5 am (as of June 2016) which is great for early start to the day or if you want to catch early tours at Carlsbad Caverns (which I highly recommend during busy summer months).

It was a clean, well kept room. The service was excellent. The front desk (casey) let us keep the bikes in their business room, while we came back in the afternoon after we checked out of our room. They went the extra mile, for that I give them 5 stars.

Everything was adequate and of expected quality. Not too far from Carlsbad Caverns, just don't expect a 5 star resort.

Hampton Inn & Suites-Carlsbad has a modern atmosphere and you will feel welcome. My experience was brief, but I like very much.

The hotel room was much nicer than we expected and the staff was friendly and gave us suggestions for dinner options. The included breakfast was typical for these sorts of hotels, but appreciated along with the eve present coffee and attentive staff. My only complaint is that the room was more expensive than I expected, but we arrived late and settled on this option despite the price.

Had a great experience at this hotel. Everyone was extremely nice and made us feel at home. The lady who makes the breakfast even made sure we were good by cooking food for us even though it was 15 minutes til breakfast was over. The manager and general manager and everyone at the front desk made sure if we needed anything it was taken care of. We will definitely be staying there the next time we go to Carlsbad, New Mexico.

$370.00 a night in that shithole town?!?!? LOL. I can't wait until the oil dries up. Drive 30 minutes up the street to Heritage Inn in Artesia, get a better room, better service, and half the price. Oh yeah, I'm a Gold Member with Hilton Honors! You can stay in Times Square for this price.

You've got to be kidding me, $389.00 a night in Carlsbad NM. Made reservations at the Holiday Inn for $228.00 a night through my company travel web site. I would avoid this place like the plague. I have to put up with this mentality in the Middle East. Not in New Mexico USA. I am a Manager in a 38, 000 employee company and will recommend to my travel department to ban this place (we do ban properties). I am a Hilton Diamond member and spend close to 200 nights a year in motels.

This hotel's customer service is amazing. My mother and I were stranded in Carlsbad and these people made it so much better. The only rooms available were very pricey, but that is mostly due to the recent housing shortage in the town. The room itself was wonderful. The room we rented was a double queen for $437 after taxes. It had a roomy bathroom, many outlets for charging devices, one of the larger mini fridges, a microwave, and dish TV. They had complimentary coffee in the lobby; popcorn and chocolate chip cookies in the evening; and tea, water, and strawberry lemonade in the evening as well. I visited the pool in the evening (about 7pm local) and there was no one there and it was quite warm. Great for doing laps. They have a great breakfast selection from 6am to 11am. What stood out to me was the desk clerks. They all had a great positive attitude and when they hears were stranded without a car they got our room ready 2 and half hours before check in so we could nap. One of the clerks even offered her car so we could see the Carlsbad sites. The people who work at this hotel are good people and made my mother abs myself feel safe and secure after an awful event. Even the sheriffs in this town are kindhearted. The sheriff who gave us a ride into town later called us to make sure we found a nice place to stay. Even though it was expensive, I would definitely choose this place again.

General manager was unwilling to work with us after Hampton Inn central reservations made an error. Originally had a military rate and manager was unwilling to match rate. He said central reservations problem was not his problem. Our family loves Hampton Inn but this rude manager left a bad taste in our mouth. The situation forced us to have to find a new hotel at midnight after driving 6 hours. Terrible customer service from, of all people, the general manager.

For the price this is over over rated. I stay at better places on same level but cheaper, with ocean view at dat. And be carefull with price, they deceive you if your not looking wit your reading glass. Lol. And eggs help the cook.
