Very nice looking hotel and the bed is very comfortable. Also there's a mini kitchen so I could acctually make something to eat.

Beautiful interior and exterior and I loved the decor in the seating area. Housekeeping was so friendly and chatted with us as we waited for our room to be ready. Front desk was very helpful with directions and suggestions of the area. Lovely covered seating area outside the front of the hotel, didn't get to sit there, but would have loved to enjoy a moment there as the flowers were beautiful. Breakfast was really good and dining area was clean and offered both coffee and water flavored with citrus, very nice touch!

Not a great TownePlace Suites even though it is new. Apparently a favorite stay for oilfield workers — not very quiet at night with loud traffic in hallways late into the night. Staff at desk are rude and not helpful. It’s a shame given this is a new property and the only Marriott by Carlsbad Caverns. Maybe Marriott assumes their name alone is the difference. I will say I’ve noticed the quality tends not to be up to par for what one should expect at a Marriott at these newer properties in more remote locations.

Nice Hotel, clean. But a good hotel is only as good as its Manager. & this Manager doesn't respect & really care for her staff. Rude to them. Cold & nasty. But! the HOUSEKEEPERS keep the Hotel clean, friendly, stocked & fresh & that is how this place really stays going. Just a bad Manager!

Nice hotel overall. The room cleaning was not that great. One night they didn't even bother to clean and the next they did half the room.

First time staying here. Figured we would give it a shot. Will update after stay. There were no clean towels by the pool, which was freezing (some may feel that that's refreshing in such heat but not for me). The rooms were clean and stocked with essentials for a long stay. Not that I'd stay long at close to $400 a night. A local told us prices are hiked up due to the oil field workers which I understand the concept but come on. Breakfast area was nice and well managed.

Nice hotel in central Carlsbad. This is a nice, new-looking hotel sitting in a central area of Carlsbad convenient to shopping and restaurants. There is plenty of parking and a nice entry. The staff were generally friendly and efficient. Our two-bedroom suite was packed full of all the comforts of home including a fully loaded kitchen, living room, and two bedrooms, each with a bathroom. The furniture was all very efficient and comfortable. The suite has plenty of TVs; the front desk loaned us an HDMI cord so we could watch movies from our computer to the living room TV. The Wi-Fi was decent but not terribly fast; even the high-speed option was not very fast. The bedrooms were very small but functional with comfortable beds. The closets were decent sized with efficiency hanger/drawer sets. The guest laundry included top-notch, high-efficiency, coin-operated appliances; ask the front desk offered for some free laundry pods. We notice the gym and pool looked nice, but we didn’t use them. The rooms were generally quiet although we did hear some stairwell traffic a few times. There isn’t much of a view out the windows. The free breakfast was not great but not bad either—management could put some more emphasis on improving the breakfast. On our visit, the hotel seemed very busy with a lot of work crew clientele (oil and gas industry? ). Our rate seemed a bit too high; I’d rate the overall value at medium.

Beautiful property and awesome breakfast BUT most uncomfortable beds and not equipped with essentials. Shampoo, conditioner not replaced during the day. We had to ask for blankets for pullout couch.

My family and I stayed at the Towneplace Suites in Carlsbad December 26th-Jan 2 2018. The staff was very attentive and quick to fix any problems we had. Also the worker responsible for the breakfast worked very hard to keep all the food items filled. The room was clean. We also were able to bring our dog with us which was a plus. The place was quiet in spite of the hotel permitting people to bring their dogs with them. Overall, it was a great experience and probably the best hotel we've stayed in. We will be coming back to the Carlsbad area at some point in the future in the summer to view the bats and experience the different things to do on the Pecos river. We will only book our stay at this establishment.

Nice facilities, very clean and modern. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was pretty good. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the bed. I hated it. It was so hard it made my back hurt after just a couple hours and I had to move to the couch just to try to sleep. Whoever chose those mattresses is completely out of touch with what most people would find comfortable.

— The facilities are relatively new, and everything is very clean here. — The internet here is significantly faster and more reliable than most other hotels, even Marriott branded ones. — The hot tub seems to be open 24 hours, very relaxing after a long day.

Best place in Carlsbad to stay. The woman who checked us in was very polite and helpful. The icing on the cake is that the rooms aren't much more expensive than some of the lower end hotels in the area.

Not to sure was visiting a friend but it seemed very nice luxurious and quite a bit on the expensive rate considering this friend has been staying there almost 3 months and is still being charged almost 200. A night.

Best place in Carlsbad, nice to have a suite of you're with friends or family. Comfortable clean and very nicely decorated.

Hotel seems fairly new. Nice rooms. Very comfortable. Decent breakfast. Friendly staff. Not too far from Carlsbad Caverns.

The room itself was awesome! Has everything you need for an extended stay, with a modern feel. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. However, the room is nowhere near soundproof. I could hear people all night, from both my floor and the one above it. The first night I was there, there was some festival going on in the neighboring park, playing very loud music until almost midnight.

Rooms are excellent. Towels were a little dirty and one had a spider on it. Other than that one instance, this place is great. I've stayed about 6 times and normally use this place over others in Carlsbad.

Clean, New, spacious, beds are comfy, staff are friendly. Pool hours are excellent! Only down fall is we found someone's dirty socks under the bed.

Clean rooms, tons of space and storage. Great breakfast selections. Fully functioning kitchen with nice dishes and silver. I would definitely stay in this hotel again!

The room was accommodating, and the included breakfast was good. We tried out the gym facilities and pool… Both were small, but we were the only guests using them, so it was a great experience. The front desk said they were booked, so no upgrade for status… Despite the website showing availability. Overall, good experience for a reasonably priced rate. Would recommend.

My experience here was amazing! The townsuites are beautiful decorated and super clean. The staff were very welcoming and the complimentary breakfast was the best complimentary breakfast place I have ever had, and I travel often. Highly recommend!

For the best hotel on carlsbad. It definitely has shirt service. Room was what I expected, pretty nice, free breakfast was horrible absolutely nothing in it, and also took like an hour to check in.
