The rooms are large and spacious with very high ceilings. The layout is pretty awesome of the building. We were able to get a spot right on the first floor and able to park right in front of our room. The location of this spot is awesome. Centrally located to everything and just minutes away from all the hot spots in Albuquerque.

It’s supposed to be a high end hotel and we wanted to stay in a nice place?!?! We’ve had better experiences at a motel 6! We got the the room was dirty bed not made no towels or soap! The lady at the front desk was nice and apologetic about it and came up to the room to make the bed herself that the so called manager said he cleaned the room before we got there. We had to clean the room get our own towels and soap and toilet paper! The only reason we stayed is because we were going to get charged for it anyway. Would definitely not recommend it or ever stay there again!

Lovely hotel. Unfortunately the restaurant is closed. Really clean and very comfy bed. Nice place with a great view.

I wanted to update and revise my review and experience with Nativo because I was very impressed at how quick mngmnt took notice and placed us in the beautiful Apache Suite and provided us with a renewed weekend. We will be back to this paradise. I revise my review to A+ and feel this hotel is sincere and wants our business. Thanks to Joe and Colton for making a refreshing experience at the lovely Nativo Lodge. 👏🏽

Great friendly staff. We stayed in an artist inspired room which was star wars themed and it was awesome! Will stay here again for sure.

I been staying here doing covid as a staycation. When I say me and my wife love it here. We always book for a night and end up staying 2 nights or more. We have went from the regular hotel rooms. Too the art rooms which are amazing, to now staying in the presidential suite. Mind you the prices are so great that even in the presidential suite our 3 night stay turned into a 4 night stay. Provide we had a second room for the kids with a mountain view and in total we spent less then 600 dollars for our last stay for 4 night 2 room one being a presidential suite. Where they do that at. Also the staff is great the room are clean and the beds are amazing.

Awesome! Stay here a lot … pool is amazing — heated and open in the winter! Clean rooms, pet friendly, nice staff! Also very beautifully decorated!

I’ve stayed in many hotels across the nation and by far Nativo Lodge is My Most Favorite ❣️ I love everything about this beautiful place.

The young lady at the desk very friendly and so very help for giving directions to there new hotel and a great new art building that just opened up. Nice pool and jacuzzi a relaxing lobby and a out door patio very dog friendly they do have a bar and restaurant but Its not open but may be later.

I was so lucky to find a room available last minute at the Nativo. I staff were extremely friendly and were able to put me in one of the artist rooms. Each one is uniquely designed by a local artist. My room had a piece representing 1000 prayers over my bed. I hope to return soon to this special lodge and check out another artist’s room.

Wasn't what I was expecting and blew my mind away. The lobby is grand and amazing. The rooms are spacious with a massive bed and great views. The pool is wonderful with both a indoor and outdoor area, wonderful hot tub AND plenty of room to relax and rest. Although it looks a little iffy from the outside, it is definitely a place to stay for a taste of local and Native American decor!

I’ve stayed here twice, and each time was exactly what I needed. The rooms are nice for the price you’re paying. One of my favorite features of this hotel are the rooms that have each wall painted a different Native art piece. The rooms feel homey and are generally very clean. I do love the restaurant that’s inside the hotel. It’s affordable and is delicious each and every single time. The staff is very friendly and generous which is a lovely bonus to this already lovely place. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is in need of a place to stay in the area.

Very nice place to stay. Comfortable rooms with balconies, beautiful decor throughout the hotel and a cozy bar. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I will absolutely stay there again. This was over a year ago. Now the place is run down and dumpy with a food truck feel in the restaurant which charges for a less than mediocre breakfast and the owners, who aren't even part of the hotel, are unprofessional, low class and have no idea what they're doing. My room hadn't been serviced and I was given an apology and handed a set of clean sheets to change the bed. I would have had a better night at the motel 6. Pitiful.

Booked a room at the flex rate, got upgraded to a suite just before arrival. The room was very nice, bed was very comfortable. Only issue I had was the tub was very shallow, but I've never had a hotel with a good tub so that wasn't a huge deal. Noticed that some of the staff, while friendly, were very disorganized, and from the things I heard from other guests and conversations between staff, it's a result of poor upper management. Sandra was amazing, super sweet and helpful. Definitely going to stay here again.

I was not here for a stay in any of the rooms, but for a conference. I want to say right up front that the staff were indeed very friendly, polite, and helpful, but scatterbrained. One staff member took the keys to the bar home and they couldn't open the bar to serve people until more than an hour after the posted time. A group of 7 of us sat in the restaurant for over an hour and no one came to ask if we wanted to eat. I mistook the front desk for a snack bar and asked about food. They said the restaurant was open. I watched an employee come out of the kitchen and eat his dinner, but still never had anyone ask if my group wanted to eat. And never saw anyone in the restaurant who looked like wait staff. Now for the safety issues. As a person who has limited mobility, I noticed the carpet in the lobby that was buckled and loose in several places. I watched as one of the conference volunteers tripped and fell over one spot. I also noticed the very uneven tile at the hall entry that lead to the restrooms and the pool. I almost fell myself a couple times at that spot as the floor is very wobbly. There is a massive, beautiful statue made of metal in the lobby. One hand holds some long strands of wire that hang out over the walking area. My partner caught his head on these and got scratched. Had he been going faster, it would have drawn blood. He is 6'2" tall. Anyone taller could take an eye out on that "art".

I'd give this hotel 1 star if not for their amazing staff. We stayed 2 nights last week and here's the laundry list of bad experiences : — The sliding glass door to our room felt like it was going to pop out. Further inspection showed the gap between the door and ceiling was stuffed with old & dirty hand towels. Pic is attached. — When I sat on the room chair I felt something hard. I pulled out a bottle of body lotion and was immediately grossed out thinking about what had occurred in that chair. — The toilet didn't flush, unless you pressed down on the lid and held the handle for 12 seconds. — The air conditioner was cracked and didn't cool well. — The TV is analog. Why? — No fridge or microwave in the room. — Lots of other people's hair in the room. Yuck. Until this hotel does an upgrade I'd highly recommend you stay somewhere else.

Restaurant had yet to open as of 5/28/18 — carpet in first floor hall needed to be replaced (bubbled up, separated seams). Nice dispensers in shower, but needed filling. Blow dryers by request only. But staff very helpful — as long as you have a cellphone or text — no phones in rooms. Desk staff made extra efforts to help with everything we asked for. Good location, food nearby, easy access, nice decor in lobby. Small but important: A/C runs with fan instead of shutting off when it reaches temperature.

Nativo has commissioned various artists to create each room into a work of art… smooth move! Excellent way to push ahead of the rest. I really hope to see more hotels follow their lead. Makes me think of a subtle version of Meow Wolf meets hospitality…

I've always wanted to stay here because it seemed so cool from the outside and from the pictures online. In its heyday, it must have been impressive. However, these days, it needs much improvement in both room amenities and aging infrastructure. The plumbing is a problem, as most rooms need bath and shower upgrades. Power outlets are in the most inconvenient locations in the room for modern needs. Rooms I was in had no refrigerator or microwave — — unacceptable for a hotel at this cost. The restaurant was inactive, supposedly because of an ownership or management change. No breakfast was provided. All that said: The staff is excellent! Friendly and happy to help and assist in anyway they can. The rooms are immaculately clean and linens are fresh and comfortable. I would be happy to stay again once an upgrade is completed. Or, if the whole staff buys out the hotel and runs it themselves. Then, any shortcomings would be rendered moot because they would be so charming as to make them unimportant.

I came here to get away and go swimming with my 7 and 9 year old. I stayed in a suite upstairs and it was amazing it was a really nice room it had two little teepee beds for the kids and a king size bed for me which was really comfortable it was clean I do think that the hotel needs a little bit of an update on small details but there are none the less. I would definitely come back here and stay again every time.

It’s a pretty hotel; clean and fresh smelling, but has some functionality issues. The outdoor part of the pool gets very little sun. It’s almost entirely shaded by the privacy fence and walls. There is a coffee maker in the room… enjoy your decaf and tea. No mini fridge. The TV doesn’t have a menu feature so you just have to scroll through the channels blindly with your fingers crossed. Also, who the hell decided it was a good idea to hang a photo of a judgmental looking elderly woman staring right at the bed.

Spectacular Lobby decked out in Native American art and decor. I highly recommended splurging on the Artist Rooms. Each room is painted by a Native Artist and we absolutely loved ours! Friendly staff and great sunset views from our top floor room.

We visit Albuquerque several times a year and the Nativo Lodge is our favorite place to stay! Best beds of any motel we've ever stayed. Great night's sleep and super clean. Very curtious and helpful staff. Reasonable room rates.

It was a nice place rooms were comfy. Indoor outdoor pool was nice. A nice bar to get a snack or a drink. Hotel staff is amazing. Needs to be updated.

We chose this business to support local businesses and it looked absolutely beautiful online. They market all their hand-painted rooms but "forget" to mention the only 80% of their rooms being as barren and plain as the desert around ABQ. We checked in and there was food on the heater/AC from the last guest. The toilet consistently had trouble flushing. The bed sheets were the wrong kind — instead of the stretchy kind (fitted) that hold onto your mattress, they use the flat one so it slides off when you move around while sleeping and reveal the mattress. Even better? The entire side of our mattress was ripped off! Housekeeping didn't come until past 6:30 PM when we had been out ALL DAY and just wanted to relax. I would absolutely never come back again.

This place has gone down hill. The restaurant is out of business. The swimming pool is dirty. No heated pool like previous time we stayed. Customer service was bad at the front lobby when checking in. As for the bar. Customer service was great. Stay away from room 302. Ghost inside.

It was OK for an 80 dollar hotel. The rooms were dry and cold though. It took a while to get the heat going. Overall I would recommend it if you don't mind a dry room.

So I was recommended this place by a friend for our 15th year anniversary. I reserved the “Presidential Suite”. Check in was at 3 and the room had not been cleaned yet. We were comped a couple drinks at the “bar”. The drinks were great and the bartender was awesome. We asked him when the restaurant would be opened since it looked closed. He said it closed down a couple weeks prior. A little before 4 we were advised our room was ready. We get to our room. My wife gets in the shower and I find the hand towels were dirty. I called and they were replaced. We go out to for dinner since the restaurant was closed down. We returned and decided to have a couple drinks at the bar at around 9:30pm and saw a few people there with a couple of cases of bud light sitting at the bar which was already closed on a Friday night. We talked about leaving but decided to sleep on it. Woke and went out to get breakfast since the complimentary breakfast no longer existed. When we returned we decided to go to the pool which is need of some cosmetic improvement. So we decided to go the gym which was nonexistent. I went to the front desk and voiced my concerns about the amenities that were told me when I booked the room and now did not exist. I also mentioned this was a letdown being that it was our anniversary weekend and the best the staff could offer was complimentary champagne and chocolate covered strawberries.

Hotel is decent, still nice. Stayed in a painted room with the romance package. You have to ask for your strawberries and champagne? Or else they'll "forget. " Rooms don't have fridge nor microwaves. You have to ask to have your room cleaned and they don't tell you that? There's no free breakfast. There's only one elevator. The staff is very nice though which makes it hard to complain.

Great room for the price. It's not super upscale, but I gave it 4 stars because it has comfy beds, charming Southwest decor, modern plumbing, free Wi-Fi, excellent curtains that kept the light out, and everything worked. Everything looked new and well maintained.

Being on the road for business is difficult at best but when you walk through the doors of the Nativo, the staff welcomes you by name, knows your room preferences and makes you feel welcome, you know you are welcome. I never stay anywhere else when I am in Albuquerque. Greg the chef, Tanya and Tony the bartenders and James the manager treat every guest with respect and that alone makes my time at Nativo a GREAT experience.

Woke up to lovely morning traffic in my room, at least it felt like it anyway. Not sure if a mountain side room would have made this much of a difference. Went to work out, and come to find they got rid of the workout room 3 years ago, but it's still advertised with one. So I thought I would try a cup of coffee… It was complimentary, I'll give them that. I do like the decor, but the hotel in general could use an upgrade.

Older hotel that's been renovated. Eclectic with a southwest vib. Not your usual cookie cutter hotel. Update: Stayed a second time since I was so happy with my first stay but sad to say they put me in the exact same room as before and the beds are now aweful! It was like sleeping in a bowl since the middle part of the bed has sunken drastically. I'm going to give it another shot and stay again but will make a point to ask for a room with new beds.

The service was great, the food mediocre, and the location on the mezzanine was nice, albeit not really anything particularly special. It was a nice place for a company party, but feels a bit exposed. If the food selections were a bit better it would be a much nicer time, though it's no fault of the wait staff who were very much on the ball.

The hotel itself was fairly average. Slightly dat3d rooms that could have used upgrading. Th here were 2 reasons that I gave them a 5 star and will stay there when I pass through from now on. First, they sent me a text before I got there to see if there was anything I needed. I was bringing dogs with my, and I saw online that they had a special pet package. I asked if I could be I upgraded to that package and they had everything taken care of for me over text before I got to my room. The second great thing was their pet policy. I had 2 dogs over 50 pounds, and they had no issues with it. It was an additional 25 dollars per dog, but every other place I called was 50 to 100 dollars extra. And had a combined weight limit of 75 pounds. I was very happy to be able go find this place. The staff were also very nice.

My aunt was visiting and stayed here. We spent some time at the pool. Nice enough rooms and amenities for a good price.

Looks nice amazing soaps and lotions… disappointed no continental breakfast no room service… the filter on the ac/heater unit filter must have been pretty dirty… hardly could sleep and broke out in hives when it was on. I am only allergic to cats and I have two and hardly ever get that bad… covers were not changed the 5 days I was there. Nice staff though…

We really enjoyed our stay at Nativo. It is a very unique hotel (in decoration, feel, etc. ). Would definitely recommend over a cookie-cutter chain. While pricey, we stayed there during the International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta. It was very convenient to the shuttle, as well as the rest of Albuquerque.

The hotel is in a good location. The price was decent. Walking distance to Starbucks and food. Convenient to I-25. The housekeeping staff was nice. Made sure we had enough towels, etc. BUT there was no microwave or refrigerator. The room was dusty. We saw 3 baby roaches in the bathroom over our 5 day stay which made me paranoid as heck. Went out and purchased freezer bags to keep our snacks safe. The decor needs updating and /or replaced. The Wi-Fi was horrible. Next to none. Would I stay there again. Probably not because I expect more in a temporary home away from home.

Booked online smoothly, but was given a room under construction. Was upgraded to an artist room, which had a faulty ac unit which needed constant resetting (cold air would shut off every 40 minutes, had to get up and turn the unit from cold, to fan, then back to cold). This constant resetting went on through the night as the increase in temp would wake me from my sleep. The lady at the front was helpful and the location on San Mateo is ideal… Unfortunately my last stay here was not.

Clean rooms. Cool native theme. Free Wi-Fi. Good service. Decent view. Close to 24 hour Mexican fast food. Very comfortable and spacious bed. Could use some better located electricity outlets and a switch that controls the lights from the entrance.

Great staff — Dominique on reception is so so helpful, makes a huge difference as we have a child with complex needs. I love the Native American design, very fitting for the area. Comfortable beds with crisp, clean sheets. The restaurant and bar are also good with a great bartender, good food too. Great in & out pool too. Recommended.

This place needs big time upgrades, carpets are filthy and air conditioning does not cool. We were put in room 304 and carpet was wet from the air conditioner and room was very dusty, we got moved to room 521 and same dirty carpet air conditioning was not cooling, beds were to soft and pillows were horrible. Water stains on ceiling. Only good thing about this hotel were the friendly front desk very accommodating, but he knew about air conditioning issue when my husband went to tell him. Will definitely not ever stay there again. Folks at bar looked like they were having a good time…

An amazing place to stay! Staff is great Very helpful and courteous. Rooms perfect for a family, beds are VERY comfortable. Randy (I think that was his name) on nights is great. Made our stay even better than it could be. Don't miss out on the Blue Corn Pinion Pancakes, beyond one of the best meals I had while in Albuquerque. Will stay again without even a doubt.

Room was nice and large. Minor issue, had reservation but room was not ready when we arrived at 4 in the afternoon. Took 2 and a half hours before it was ready. Everything else (food, location, cleanliness) was good. Artwork in the room was beautiful. Price was great for a double room. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Would stay again.

Reasonable rates, spacious rooms, comfortable and clean. Coffee and a bun offered in the morning with the room.

The Nativo is really nice but it has an older feel to it. The staff is excellent and the pricing is well worth the value. Loved the location and accomodations.

Service was great! The front desk lady recommended frontier for breakfast! And other attractions! The room it self could use some updating but the over all experience was great! Neat hotel at a great price!

Nativo Lodge is excellent. It's one of the best hotels I've stayed at. The room was very nice, and it had the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on, away from my own. My wife and I enjoyed the pool and the hot tub, and we had some nice conversation with a few friendly people while we relaxed there. I highly recommend Nativo Lodge.

Very interesting hotel. Awesome Native American artwork and theme throughout. The entryway and rooms are in need of updates. I did not see any of the Artist Rooms, but the one I stayed in was borderline motel level. The staff are all incredibly nice and helpful, though, it seems like there may be a shortage of help. The prices are great, and the location is central. I would imagine a slight touch-up would do wonders for this artsy hotel. Hope to check back in some time.

Nice hotel and friendly staff but not very helpful when trying to recover a cell phone charger that was left behind. My fault for forgetting the charger, but contacted them immediately (and several times thereafter) and by the time they checked the room, it was gone. Either housecleaning disposed it or someone else took it. Frustrating experience. Would I stay there again? Maybe.

Love stayng here! I stay here very often. My family feel at home. Staff is very nice and helpful. Restaurant has delicious variety of food.

Wonderful wonderful… best place we have ever stayed. The food is absolutely fabulous. The room is beautifully appointed and very spacious.

I use Nativo Lodge for corporate lunch meetings. The staff makes sure to have exactly what I need in the meeting space. The serving of plated food is quiet and unobtrusive, the catering staff & managers are very appreciative of my business.

Stayed there for 3 nights while in town for meetings my wife had with her employer. The room was fairly small but comfortable with a King bed and about 7-8 pillows. The bed was very soft and comfortable and the room was clean and maintained. The first night there my truck was broken into and some items stolen but I do not fault the hotel for that, there are lazy, thieving idiots everywhere you go now days. They do have a security guard on duty nights so that's good. The management was very accommodating after the break-in and let me park the vehicle in the check-in area right in front of the doors under the bright lights as I could not lock the damaged door lock. All the employees were very nice and service was great. I would stay there again when in Albuquerque. Noise from the highway was pretty bad till about 1AM so next time I would try to get a room on the backside of the lodge. Also a microwave and fridge would be really nice to have in the room.

The Good: good price, clean rooms, nice art-work and decorations, good location close to restaurants. The Bad: Did not take advice from previous reviewer about the very loud road noise from the front of the hotel. Even with ear plugs you hear everything, no exaggeration. Ask for a room in the back. ; parking lot not light up at night; pool and hot tub dirty, hot tub water was cloudy and green; beds were full size NOT queen, like most hotels; no fridge or microwave (available at extra nightly charge) ; allot of the hotel is in disrepair and not fully updated; older hotel (2 star trying to be a 3 star).

This hotel could be easily 4 stars if they paid attention to the details… Cords were all over from the tv. Alarm clock was literally from the early 90's and they had no electronic doors. So it sucks if you're carrying luggage. Atmosphere is great and the pricey is decent. It's also very centralized for restaurants and things to do. They just need to invest some to bring it up to par.

Slightly older building, but very clean. Extremly friendly staff. Indoor/outdoor pool is well maintained, great for kiddos. We checked in fairly late, and Glenn at the front desk treated us as if he owned the place.
