Great place to stay. Savannah was great at getting me a room and went out of her way to get me a cart for my luggage. I highly recommend this hotel. The staff is awesome and friendly beyond my expectations. Breakfast was great too.

It is pet friendly. That is all I need.

The fire alarm sounded on all floors at 3am. Obviously that is out of the staff's control in most cases. However, as everyone was exiting the building for safety, the staff was completely chaotic and created more confusion. The lady working the front desk was giving people different information and telling some people it was a false alarm while telling others that she didn't know the cause. She was clearly emotionally overwhelmed but in a situation like this with dozens of people, children, and disabled folks like my husband, it is the staff's responsibility to manage the situation and she actually created more chaos. There were babies and little children outside in the cold while the staff was clearly having some kind of overwhelmed episode. It didn't appear that the fire dept was ever called and there was no real investigation going on which makes me think the staff new exactly what the cause was and was trying to cover for there lack of management. A manager finally arrived and at first created a bit of a scare because she rushed into the entrance saying "it's not a false alarm, I see something on the 4th floor". She then went down the hall (where or why I don't know) and then a few minutes came back and said everyone could go back to their rooms, that there was a party where people were smoking that triggered the alarm. We heard people telling others that they had already complained earlier about that party.

Can't really change the hotel as it's right by busy roads, guests were noisy also.

No housekeeping unless you ask for it coffee machine in rooms with no coffee.

We were here since last year and now we came and stay again last night. They remodel the whole place and it looks very nice and clean but small. Other than that it's a comfortable stay. Clean rooms and the staff are very friendly and made us feel more welcome. I would give a good thumbs up and recommend the hotel to my friends and family.

It was a very nice and clean hotel. The staff were very helpful the whole time we were here and breakfast was great! I highly reccomend!

It really isn’t in Old Town. King suite lacks furniture. Really… a sofa and a coffee table and they call that a suite? One area in the room is completely without furniture. The pictures of the room are not what is on their website. I don’t care if they spent 2 million in remodeling. Don’t leave a room half empty.

Great price. Great service. Renovations complete and beautiful. The greeter, Harris Balkin, is a wealth of knowledge and made us feel completely at home. We'd return here for sure.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, breakfast to go and right off the I40. In addition, getting to old town to have lunch or dinner and a little shopping is always a treat.

Terrible staff. After forgetting my Ugg boots in the room I called the front desk to see if they had been found. It was still early, around 130pm and housekeeping had not yet finished cleaning rooms so they asked for my number to call me back. They did not even bother to ask for my name, Like they knew they would not be calling me back. When I called back later they informed me no shoes had been found and I informed them they then had a thief among them. I hung up and called back to speak to management only to find out that there was no manager on duty. They asked what the call was regarding and I informed them that I needed to let management know they had a theif within their staff. I hung up and left an angry review. Not ten minutes later I missed a call and received a message that my boots had been found. WOW! It only took 4 hours, three phone calls, one bad review, a threat to tell management and as it turns out a visit from my sister who went to the hotel when I could not and was also informed the boots were not there. I called back to find out how to get my boots back and was informed that I could come pick them up or I could pay to have them shipped back to me. Excuse me? I live over 3 hours away and when someone when to go get them for me the staff did not take the time look for them and sent her away stating that I had not left them behind. I am pissed. This place is ridiculous and even as I sit here writing this review I am waiting to hear from management.

Nice enough hotel. Clean and it's nice they offer lemon water and cookies at front. And I think we can all agree that a hotel that gives complimentary breakfast is awesome. My only complaint is $25 per night for a dog?! How much is charged for kids? Sorry but it's not fair. My dogs aren't doing anything to the room to where I need to be charged $25 A NIGHT. Totally unnecessary. I'd be happy to do a deposit and when you see my dogs did nothing to the room you can refund it, as the rooms are cleaned anyway…

My sister and I agreed a suite on the 4th floor with 2 queen beds. The rooms were generous in size which allowed us to spread out. The beds we're dreamy comfortable and had blackout curtains for maximum privacy. The bathroom was generous in size and had a message shower head. The living room gave a place to hang out and provided a small kitchen area. Never once turned on the TV!

Staying in a 2 Queen Suite. So far so good. Everything looks clean. Although Albuquerque is notorious for pan handlers and homeless, this place has a fenced in parking and is close to stores and fast food. I would stay here again.

Very nice, clean hotel. Service was excellent. Good hot breakfast. The only neg was that the AC in the room doesn't blow very hard and the room was so hot. However, the front desk brought up a fan right away so all was good! Thank you!

Love our stay here clean, spacious room the breakfast was delicious the staff was super friendly. The pool was nice and warm great time there. The only thing was that with a 3 and 5 yr old they wanted to watch cartoons and they didn't have cartoon channels, like Disney jr or Nick Jr or any others but our our stay was great.

Great rooms, pool and breakfast. Love my priority club membership. Allowing late check out when needed is very convenient and earning free nights is a bonus.

Holiday Inn Expresses get nicer as you go east. Worst in AZ, decent in NM, better in OK. But looks like here in Litchfield, IL they have you all bested!

Easy, friendly check-in. Upgraded our reservation to a suite. Very nice. Very spacious rooms. Everyone was very friendly & helpful. Breakfast was good, and fresh & they refreshed the containers before they had a chance to get empty. Enjoyed our anniversary trip to Albuquerque.

I really enjoyed my stay here except for one thing. First I'll start with the positives and that is they offer complimentary basic needs items if you happened to forgot it at home or something. The rooms are nice and spacious (I had a double queen room). The complimentary breakfast they provide has various options to choose from and they are all pretty good from what I tried. As for my only complaint, I had called a couple days before to see if I could have a replacement phone hone sent to there since I would be arriving then and they said they would gladly accept it for me. The day it was suppose to arrive, I got an email that said they denied delivery. It was a hassle to have to hope it was still in town as I needed my replacement and they did not follow through. Otherwise, nice stay.

Had an amazing stay! The lady at check in was quick and efficient, room was clean, and bed was comfy. Ran out of pancake mix, but the staff member working breakfast was already on top of getting it refilled and brought me some pancakes after filling the machine. The manager came in and visited with all the guests. I have never had a more enjoyable hotel stay than this one.

Very bad room service The bathroom was not as clean as it should and the bed just like it, I even call service and the housekeeper who sent it behaved very rudely for nothing advisable.
I eh stayed at other Holiday Inn in Albuquerque and they are wonderful but this was quite the opposite if they think about coming and staying this hotel I recommend they look elsewhere.
Very bad experience for me.

Nice hotel and good stores around. The front desk not so helpful and rude. I got to NM from Arizona a some what long drive. I asked if there was a possibility of checking a but early. Clearly there is no cars at all. Yet the receptionist claimed all rooms where booked last night. I booked my rooms days prior to today. I have two small boys so I would of liked a bit more sympathy. To the long drive and yet I sat here for hrs in the parking lot. Did not see no guest coming in or out.

The hotel was nice, beds comfy & everything was clean. A few gripes. We called ahead for a pet friendly room, it was booked & I was told a price. We got to the hotel, no pet friendly rooms were available & the price I was given did not include the pet fee. They did give us a room anyhow. The hotel was very hot. We had to crank the air when we got into the room. Parking was fenced & secure, but not enough spaces. Definitely get a cinnamon roll in the morning. That's all I decided to have & it was the bomb. I would stay here again.

Was not happy. New year's Eve, my daughter and I are traveling back home. They put us in a room next to party. Loud. When I try to call the front desk no one answers.

Pleasant one night stay as we were passing through Albuquerque. On Christmas day there was little open in the way of restaurants. The sweet lady at the desk called a few spots for us to see of they were open.

Clean rooms, friendly staff and decent breakfast. Manager was friendly, and they made sure we had our AAA and/or military discount correctly on our invoice. Does offer a military discount but you may have to call and ask for it as their website seems to charge higher for a discount for rooms if the going rate is lower.

This is a very nice, clean hotel. Staff very nice. My reason for 4 not 5 stars is that our room was facing the street and Very Loud. There is a traffic light right there and it seemed as if every car had loud exhaust and raced away from light. Next time I'll ask for parking lot side.

I've been to this hotel several times since 2014. It's got a great location if you need easy access to I-25 and I-40. The one time there was an issue they compensated me. Very happy with this location.

Very enjoyable stay good location for events. Property well maintained friendly helpful staff. Only thing not understood is why property is identified as in old town. Old town is a fair distance from property so shouldn't be identified as being in Old Town.

The hotel was clean, but when it comes to the front desk service is very poor. At first when checking in I was willing to say it was the individual. She was rude telling us we booked our rooms wrong, which we book regularly due military travel. When checking out we waited 20 minutes to get a receipt which I still do not have due to no receptionist. Odd thing I ran into an individual putting receipts under the doors as I left my room, asked if he had room 328 and he replied yes but could not give it to me. I told him I would pick up at desk. Am editing due to initial check in with receptionist. Found out as I called for my receipt that Sonja never transferred the room to my name not input my reward number as she stated she would. The employees are the face of an establishment and should always make customer service a priority.

Service was great and the room was perfect. Just what we needed after a day of driving. Will definitely be going back when we stay in Albuquerque.

Great room. Always stay at holiday inn. Only downside this time was the TV kept changing channels on it own. Otherwise was great. Friendly staff and the usual delicious breakfast.

Staff was pleasant. Breakfast was great. They actually had turkey sausage and vegetable omelets. Hotel was a good location to observe the Sandias mountain at various hours. Convenient to all the great places to go to, I just hooped on the and it was affordable. Check out Old Town and the Tramway while your there.

While continuing along my family's criss country trek we stopped here as we had heard that the towels at the holiday inn were oh so fluffy. Joking aside this hotel was fantastic the temperature in the pool was perfect. The rooms were equipped with everything you could need. Microwave, fridge, TV, amazing AC unit, a mini Keirug with coffee And yes the towels were very fluffy. Definitely recommending to any sleep deprived road warrior. Also the staff were great and they even let me know if I needed to take breakfast back to my room for my family it was allowed and understood when you have a 7 month old baby.

The Holiday Inn Express at old town is conveniently located near Explora and the natural history museum. The room was clean and spacious. The staff was friendly and helpful and provided suggestions on locations for dinner. There is a nice indoor pool and hot tub at this location. Breakfast was the standard you'd find at all Holiday Inn Express and they even provided boxes to take a cinnamon bun home in. We've stayed here twice and been happy each time.

Typical Holiday inn express. Clean, nice pool, good breakfast, good location off the freeway. House keeping staff is very courteous always said hello and asked if we needed anything to let them know. The only complaint is when I told my wife to ask for extra towels the lady up front was not very nice and asked why we needed more towels! My wife told her we booked 2 rooms with 4 people in each room and the rooms only have 3 towels. Then the other guy on duty said that there were "pool" towels we could use! Eventually they gave us the hotel towels. We have been staying at Holiday inn express for year's and been IHG members just as long. We have never been given such a hard time asking for "towels".

Great location, just off major roads and variety of places to eat in the area. Staff was friendly. Power had gone out after checking in but was on soon after. AC unit in room was adequate, could have been better. Breakfast was decent variety, pancake maker instead of waffles. Wish they had bacon instead of Turkey sausage for meat protein. Good for one night stay.

Only a suite available (our fault, no reservation) but the A/C wasn't operating in either room of the suite. The TVs were antiquated, the furniture would appear normal in the '80s. The vent in the bathroom was hanging from the ceiling and it could use some touch-up paint. The jacuzzi tub was a welcome amenity, and the water was HOT. The gentleman at the counter was slow and could have been more polite, but was able to accommodate us. Breakfast was decent enough (no one does good scrambled eggs). While we were eating the Director of Sales (name badge confirmed) came and asked us a few questions about our stay and informed us of a renovation they're planning in November after hearing our minor concerns with the room. In all, I would wait until the renovations were completed to return.

My family had a great weekend stay… we enjoyed swimming pool… food… they had the Best breakfast… and the best hospitality … our suit was nice and clean… what we enjoyed best is the smoke free environment… I will stay here any time. I highly recommended it to everyone!

Pretty good experience, overall. The only problem we encountered, and it's not really even the fault of the hotel or staff, was requesting a crib. We were in the room for 20 minutes, my toddler was already asleep, and when the front desk attendant called the room to tell us he got swamped and was running behind with our crib, the ringing phone woke our son. It was a little difficult to get him to go to sleep again, and when he was alseep again, the crib being delivered woke him once more. Just a bit of a cluster fluff, if you know what I mean.

Good breakfast, Cooperative people Only complementary water is not available in rooms but everyday it can be available on request Internet is very very slow so you need wired connection Receptionist doesn't take care of what you asked them, except a few and some even give a damn strange look that you don't even want to say hello.

Easy to find with eating, shopping, and attractions very close by. Parking lot was kind of small, but the staff was friendly, hotel was well kept, and the breakfast was delicious.

I like the feel, location and the rooms are exactly what I like! Just the gym didn't have free weights but is all good.

Got in late after being on the road for 12 hours and they couldn't find my reservation at first. After finally finding my reservation I get my key card and go park. So the parking lot is filled with rv campers parked sideways in the close spots forcing me to park out in the back corner of the lot. Then my key card doesn't work to let me in the building or my room so I have to go back to the front desk and get a different one as the guy working the counter is trying to tell me it's my fault and that the key was programed correctly. So I get a working key and as soon as I get in the room all I can hear is a loud clicking noise coming from the fridge. After calling the front desk he told me that all the refigeraters made noise but he would get me another room anyway. By this point I am tired and furious with the situation but to top it off I check reviews and people had their cars vandalized less than a month ago here! Had to bring in all my luggage just to feel safe. Stay away from this hotel!

My wife and I have stayed in many, many Holiday Inn Expresses and this was definitely the worst experience we have had. When we went to check in, a couple was at the front desk complaining that they went to their room after checking in and the beds were not even made. We called when we were about 10 minutes from the hotel and the desk clerk gave us the wrong directions to the hotel. It cost us another 15 minutes driving — after already driving 1000 miles that day. The keys to our room did not work and we had to return to the front desk to get new keys. Once in the room, it was extremely hot and we could not lower the temperature. Management could not fix the HVAC unit and we had to move to another room. In our new room, the refrigerator "ticked" all the time, like a loud clock. We had to pull the plug out of the refrigerator so we could sleep that night. The fitness center was too hot and the TV volume maximum was so low that you could not hear the TV over the sound of the motors of the equipment. We could not wait to leave this horrible hotel very early the next morning and even skipped the free breakfast. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The room was good for the most part aside from a clicking like noise from the refrigerator? What made me give such a low rating however was the lack of safety in the area. We are traveling through and made our stop for the night here. Upon arriving we noticed a security truck out front and specifically asked the front desk person if crime was an issue. We were told it was a safe area and the security came by a few times at night just to check up. In the morning, about 6am, we checked out and went out to find both our vehicles had been vandalized. The entire back window in my car had been smashed in and, thankfully, only one item was stolen and our other cars back passenger window was smashed in. Ours were the only two cars in the lot broken into. According to the morning front desk person, they don't have cameras pointed in our area. The security showed up relatively quickly, however, the police and general manager of the hotel haven't shown up since being called almost two hours ago. The assistant GM was here however and comp'd our room, so I suppose that's a plus. Still waiting for the police, which apparently are terrible in the area just like the crime rate and drugs. I will never stay in this hotel again unless they get far better security. I'd recommend this area, the entire location or Albuquerque, for no one to stay or visit!

I can't emphasize enough how awesome Holiday Inn Express and Suites here in Downtown Albuquerque is! We originally planned on staying at Days Inn until the day of calling to confirm our reservations and them saying they gave our room to someone else freaking out I called the Holiday Inn Express and Suites they directed me to speak to a reservation specialist she was a sweet heart reserved us and awesome room exactly what we asked for in a very fast and orderly manner with great costumer service… Since being here walking in to Lobby they've greated us with nothing but smiles great hospitality and wonderful house keeping my family and I will most definetly be back again! Thank you so much for all you have done! Sincerely a very happy customer ☺️☺️☺️
