Right away when you walk into the hotel on the 1st floor the smell of mold hits you in the face like a fist. Then you get the pleasure of inhaling the mold all the way to your room. When we entered our room the smell was overwhelming to the point of making me nauseous. The floor was covered in dirt and hair from other people, there was white stuff all over the counter and mirror, there was no towels or soap and the worst part was that there was mold all over the room. It was all over the walls on all the base boards around both beds and in the bathroom. We had to move rooms. The next room we got wasnt as bad smelling of the mold, but then we used the facilities and the toilet clogged immediately. We went and got a plunger to plunge the toilet and then the tub started filling up with poop. So we had them move us again. And this room was also overwhelmed with the mold smell. Needless to say this place is disgusting and over priced for the $105 we paid for the night wasn't worth the fact that I woke up nauseous and with a sore throat from the mold! Worst Motel 6 yet!

Perfectly adequate motel at a reasonable rate, extremely close to King of Prussia shopping district. Quiet night, comfy bed. When they say no frills, they mean no frills. Bring your own shampoo. Second floor ice machine wasn't working but no big deal. Front desk staff is extremely nice.

Our stay at Motel 6 at King if Prussia close to Philadelphia was satisfactory. We were moved to another room since the one we were originally in smelled like cigarette smoke. Probably best to have the smoking rooms in different areas of the motel. Also, the fan in the second room bathroom did not work. Since the windows in the rooms do not open it made for a bit of a smelly experience. The people working in the hotel were friendly and accommodating. Overal a comfortable stay. A bit pricey though for what we received.

The King of Prussia motel has an employee by the name of Charmaine who works at the Front Desk she is the absolute best she is very friendly helpful and just a overall pleasure. I recommend that she be made a manager because she definitely has the potential along with the attitude, she also gets 5 stars.

The room was okay, although it didn’t really have a closet or dresser. It had all of the charm of a retail store with empty shelves. I didn’t remember to request a non-smoking room, so it smelled like cigarettes, although it could have been a lot worse. The biggest problem was that the TV didn’t work. We called the front desk to ask about it and were told it was out for the whole building and “the technician is working on it as we speak. ” This was at about 9pm. When we checked out the next morning at 7:30 it still wasn’t working and I heard the person at the front desk tell a very irate guest that “the technician is working on it as we speak. ” But our room was quiet at least, even though the hotel is right next to the highway, and we were able to get a good nights sleep, which is the most important thing. I wouldn’t have minded the other issues as much if the room was $70-80 per night instead of the $105 that we paid.

We needed a motel to sleep for just one night. My wife and I decided to stay at a Motel 6 because we did not need the gym or continental breakfast that come with the higher priced motels. When we arrived in our room we were dissatisfied with several features of the room. First the telephone did not work which was frustrating because I was trying to reach the front desk to address another issue; their where no towels. When I went to the front desk the towels they gave my wife and I were barely large enough to adequately do the job. My wife is 5'4 and I am 6'3". Also, the bathtub did not drain properly and there where no bath supplies. We both felt that for the price we paid… only 30 dollars less then the Holiday Inn… we should have at least have the essentials.

Worst experience with a hotel. I've tried a different Motel 6 before, and ended up leaving without refund and finding a new hotel. This second chance I gave a different Motel 6 was no different. My non smoking room REEKED of smoke… Evidenced by cigarette butts next to bed. The lobby smelled of marijuana. I waited almost two hours for a room AT MIDNIGHT when I had a reservation. Room was evidently not cleaned properly because a small crowd had built up in the lobby waiting for clean rooms to be prepared. Everyone present either offered to clean their own rooms, or begged for a refund.

My stay was awful. I arrived at the hotel after 11pm on 4/18. I stood in the lobby for several minutes waiting to be helped. The employees were standing behind the counter having a conversation. Once I was finally helped, the interaction was pleasant. I was given my room and made my way there. The hallway going to my room was filled with smoke and the smell of both marijuana and cigarette smoke. Once I arrive at my "non-smoking room" I was hit with a horrible smell of smoke. I have photos of the bed which was extremely dirty and generally gross. There were ashes all over the side table and the bed platform. I went to the bathroom to find a wash cloth. When I picked up the wash cloth there was hair all over the wash cloth. In general, the room was so smelly and dirty, that I couldn't take a chance on leaving my clothing and myself in the room overnight. (I was in Philadelphia for an interview the next morning). I ended up sleeping in my car in the parking lot for the evening. I did wake up in the morning and take my items back into the bathroom to take a shower. I was met by a broken shower curtain rod and the awful smell again. I was ultimately in the room for a total of 15 minutes. I would like to discuss the potential for my money back. That is the only way that I could change my mind about this company.

Check in at front desk was very pleasant. The lady process me and gave me my room key. Made it to my room only to discovered my room was not clean Shower still had washrags with used soap still in there. My bed was completely disgusting with pubic hair under the covers with brown stains mattress. Insects on the floor crawling under bed and on top of bed. Needless to say I won't be back. It was filthy.

The hotel service and experience was very nice! I have no complaints for my one nights stay there. And that soaking bath tub in the bathrooms — I loved it! It was a good relaxing time after my long day! Thank you for the pleasant experience!

Room was extremely dirty and smelled like pet pee. There was human hair all over our 'clean' towels and the bathroom looked like it had been used, but not cleaned after the tenant before us. There was no air flow in the room, no access to an open window, so there was no way to get fresh air to alleviate the smell. All in all, I was really dissatisfied for the price I paid and will not stay at this location again.

Checking in was a breeze and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We arrived early and the staff was able to provide us with our room avoiding the 3:00 check in. The hotel was very clean and so was our room. We loved the location and had the best time on our mini vacation.

It was a smooth experience. Everything is clean. It was quiet during the night. The only issue was that the wake-up call did not happen.

I made a reservation and when I showed up my room had been given away. I was offered a smoking room. I can't imagine how disgusting a smoking room at this hotel would be. I turned the room down and paid 3 times the motel 6 rate to stay somewhere else. What is the point of a confirmed reservation if it is not honored? It was 2 hours between the time of my reservation and my arrival. I saw another review talking about how wonderful it was they could show up and get a room without a reservation which made me wish I could give this hotel 0 stars.

Check in without a reservation was seamless. The room rate was very very reasonable. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Staff was accommodating and helpful. Charmaine provided excellent service and displayed empathy in having to check out a day early.

My room was very clean. In fact, the smell of disinfectant took a little bit to go away. I requested a handicap room. I was a little disappointed. I was expecting a walk in shower and not a tub. The bed was on a platform and slide around when trying to get into or out of bed. My power was out and I just needed to get warm and Motel 6 provided that for me.

My room is pretty clean but the shower pressure sucked. Plenty of towels clean sheets close to the laundry room would recommend it does have its drawbacks tho. That's sweet smell of good marijuana wafts through the air on the weekends.

The stay was very nice and the room we stayed in was pleasant and quiet. The front desk was very helpful in helping me deal with the issue of not being able to use my bath, so they gave us a room across the hall at no extra charge and it even had a nice view of the area!

It's OK if you improve the Wi-Fi.
And they put it free in look of paid.

Located near the king of prussia mall and casino, with the lowest rate in the area. Stayed in a room with 2 queen beds, the rooms were clean. The floors are not carpeted in the room, which I consider a plus. Great place if you need to stay for a night.

Room was very clean. Liked the hardwood floors. And updated rooms in general. Only issue was the water pressure was very low. Otherwise great place to stay.

Straight forward low cost lodging. Honest and efficient staff. Really nice updated rooms for the price. Relatively convenient location. Some frills cost extra, but nothing beats a good clean bed and bath. One complaint is that a non smoking king room smelled faintly of cigarette, and smell crept in from other rooms. But not nearly bad as others.

This King of Prussia, PA, motel was an ideal location for visiting the area to see my son. When I saw the hotel had been remodeled, and the price was decent for the area, I gave it a try. I was sorely disappointed. The front desk clerk wasn't very friendly, the room was non smoking but smelled like an ashtray, and the room was dirty. I bought Clorox wipes and wiped down all the surfaces. The floors had not been swept and there was dirt and dust behind the bathroom door and under the beds. The bathtub still had hair from the previous guest (s), and for a recently remodeled hotel, maybe replacing the stained/ cigarette burned toilet seat would have been nice. I wanted to leave and get my money back but my ever optimistic husband reminded me we would only be there for 12 hours. We had actually planned on a second night in the area but after this experience, we decided to drive home the next day. At least the beds were clean, or were they.

The hotel was nice, a little difficult to get to off the main road. Rooms were clean. No microwave or refrigerator. Beds were clean but not the most comfortable. Shower was hot but not much water pressure. Toliet made a horrible moaning noise for some time after you flushed it. Over all would stay again. The price is right and it was clean and convenient.

Hello, ask for non-smoking room and the room I was assigned had quite a smell of cigarette, all clothes stay with that smell. That was the bad thing.

Air conditioning unit in my room barely functions (see picture) and no shampoo at all (bring your own). I'm not going to hate on it too much because I didn't expect much. It's the least expensive shelter around here.

We liked the location — not too far out of Philidelphia to make it in rather easily, and near the beautiful Valley Forge park! Plus there was a great mall right across the street and lots of places to eat near by. Overall it was clean and the workers were friendly and helpful. I would rate it even higher, but the AC in our room was not very good at drawing out moisture. I hung a wet shirt and it was still damp two days later. It definitely needs fixing. Hopefully other rooms AC worked more efficiently.

I have stayed at this very same hotel before. I understand it is not a five star hotel. This time around I rented a "deluxe" room. It was not deluxe. It smelled like a damp basement. The fiberglass tub has a whole in it at the base where water can flow into the hole. This probably is why the room has a musty odor.

I usually don't write letters like this. I did tell someone that I walked with a cane and I wanted something downstairs. … I got the second floor way at the other end of the motel… I needed something close to the front … rooms were clean but the shower I almost could not get in. Tub very high my legs and knees don't work well… maybe just a room with a shower or lower tub… room was clean. Paid extra for a refrigerator but microwave (the plate inside was bigger then the microwave itself. ) … needed just a little more hot water… but I understand very difficult to have nice things with today's world. Do you have first floor rooms for handicap customers?.

The location is great. The rooms were a good size but they were not cleaned well. There was dog hair everywhere. There is a smell of cigarettes in the hallways and rooms, also like a musty smell everywhere. The workers are nice though and its decent for the price.

I chose the Motel 6 mainly for the price, lower than any others in the area. It's well located, right near the big malls and on Route 202, with some restaurants nearby. Parking is plentiful, and the folks at the desk were friendly and helpful but when we were entering the hallway to our room there was an odor that could have knocked someone over. The room is rather bare-bones, with none of the amenities usually found (hair dryer, fridge, easy chair, tissues, Wi-Fi for extra $), but the bed was comfortable. It was fine for a one-night stopover, but I think next time I'd spring the extra bucks for a more commodious place.

My stay was enjoyable. The staff us friendly and helpful. My toilet wasn't working and it was fixed pronto! I always travel with my dogs and it's great to see all the dog owners staying there too. It's not a luxury hotel but for the price it is clean and comfortable!

How disappointing! I was assigned some temporary work in KOP, PA so needed to find a decent place to stay at a reasonable price. I thought Motel 6 might be the answer. I was so wrong! Since I work to 1 am I needed a to make sure my room was still available when I finished working. When I arrived, the hotel manager was on the phone with someone she apparently new, talking about how to dispute an electric bill. I waited briefly in the lobby which smelled like smoke since people stand by the front door to enjoy their nasty habit. After she hung up she gave me my room. When I entered my eyes went right to the bed. Was this bed used as a place for employee to get some rest or did a maid actually think she made a bed properly? Upon looking around there was small food particles in the floor and small shreds of toilet paper or tissue. I checked the bathroom and there was something nasty on the seat right next to a hair. No one would think this room was acceptable. I went to the desk to get my money back without asking for another room. If a room was this bad, I'm sure any other rooms weren't much better.

I have been charged twice to my stay at Motel 6. When I spoke to the Motel Manager, She said she could do nothing about it and she would talk to the Help Team to get some solution. I paid the above amount in cash. However I found that my Credit Card on Record was also charged with the same amount I paid Cash.

No frills… you get what you pay for. Thin towels, tiny bar of soap, etc. I asked for a non-smoking room; I got a room that smelled of stale, old cigarettes. It made me wonder whether they even have non-smoking rooms. So, not the best experience, but at least I slept well. (The beds are comfortable. ) If you want a better experience, I suppose you'll need to open your wallet a bit wider.

Our party got separated and the first group to arrive (at 11:45 PM) couldn't check in using the card on file until we arrived (at 12:30 in the morning) after a 14 hour drive. We were all tied and just wanted to sleep. Our room was at the back of the hotel and the key card we were given didn't work. The room smelled like cigarette smoke and the halls reeked of weed. The floors were sticky and the bed comforters were stained which makes me think they've never been cleaned. The only thing this motel has going for it is being pet friendly.

Located right off the highway. Rooms are very clean but provide the bare minimum with amenities available for the asking. Staff is very friendly and aim to please.

I give this one 0 stars… The hallways walking to my room were squeaky & loud… I thought I was going to fall through the weak floorboards… When I got in my room it was not comfortable looking at all and had loud hardwood floors in it and there was no Yellow pages in the room at all… I wanted to order a pizza and had to go down to the lobby to borrow a yellow pages to which the clerk had to look long & hard to find one… and it was outdated as well! … I had to leave and get my money back because I just couldn't stay there AT ALL!

Excellent value. No charge for my small dog. This is a no-frills motel, but has all the necessary comforts for that type of inn. Exceptionally clean facility and room, and friendly, helpful staff. Would have rated five stars except exterior doors are very heavy, and difficult to handle for a handicapped person using a rollator. Otherwise, I was very happy with my stay, and will certainly patronize Motel 6 in the future.

The building and staff were nice and pleasant but this was one of the most bare bones accommodations I've stayed at in recent years. The bed was OK but the room was a bit stuffy and there was a minor smell of a previous occupant smoking in the room. I'm glad we travel with our own toiletries as only a small face bar is provided. I know that this is not a luxury hotel but I've stayed in much less expensive places that offer much better amenities. The staff and the building get 5 stars and two are taken away for the tiny, almost useless, rough, sandpaper bath towels and lack of any amenities.

Stayed prior to Pope's visit. The rooms smelled of smoke even tough non smoking room. There was no ice like crazy. Bed uncomfortable. Fake wood floors that aren't placed together properly and due to wood floors it echos. The bathrooms are tiny. Toilet seat falling off. Barely any room to sit and use toilet. There was 1 bar of soap given. No shampoo etc. No continental breakfast just nasty cheap coffee which eyes ran out of. Spoke to local fire department and even thew don't recommend staying there due to problems they have had. No restaurant so you must go down the road a ways to eat. Wi-Fi sucks and is extremely slow. They all jacked up prices because pope was coming. Rooms smelled stagnant. Pillows need replaced. Ac and heat barely work. Not worth the money by any means.

Great room for the money. Friendly staff. Clean room and bath. Comfortable beds. Limited channel selection, but not really there to watch television. Overall, very happy with my experience.

We stayed for 2 nights in a Motel 6. Staff very friendly, good location. Room: hair in shower, the AC was smelly! To recommend for a short and cheap stay but not for a longer holiday.

Not a comfortable place to stay. Wood flooring, awful towels (hard/harsh), not small refrig or microwave and nowhere to put things away. I would pay an extra $40/50 to stay somewhere esle.

Its good for the price. Allows pets for free so that is a nice perk. I had one of the modern rooms. It was not bad or dirty. Just normal and what 69.99 will get. Pleased with the over all experience of a motel 6.

Great value compared to other hotel chains I looked at in the same area for the same time frame. Great location for my arrival/departure from Philly International airport. Rooms were very clean and well appointed with just what you need.

First time I ever stayed at any motel with hard wood floors. Easy access; easy check in and easy check out. Motel 6 is known for providing a bed, parking and easy access. This M-6 is the most luxurious of any M-6 I have stayed at. All I was looking for is a bed, and they provide it at a great rate. Yeah you have to pay for online access, which was slow, but you can always use your portable broad band modem or jet pack if you don't like their Wi-Fi.

Overall a very good experience. Middle of the night, looking for a place that was pet friendly to stop for the night. Initially booked it because it was inexpensive, but it ended up being one of the nicest Motel 6s I've ever stayed in. Newly renovated and really nice as this type of hotel goes. The only complaint is that the room was a little musty smelling. I couldn't tell if it was a new paint smell or a little moldy. In any case, we were pleased with the experience. Not a 5 star place but it gets 5 stars because it is in the top of its class for this type of accommodation.
