My husband and I spent a lazy, rainy morning staring out at Penobscot Bay, chatting with our hostess Caroline while enjoying the three course breakfast she prepared for us. Spacious, comfortable rooms and a lovely property. Thank you Caroline! We will be back.

Everything about this place is unique, cozy and special. We were welcomed warmly by Caroline. The home is like stepping back in time with all of the character and attention-to-detail of the era. There is a beautiful ocean view from the wrap-around porch. We were joined by a jovial, friendly group from Alabama who made our stay even more fun. Caroline created unique breakfasts from scratch with recipes from her homeland. They were as delicious as they were beautiful. We almost didn't want to leave the home to go sight-seeing.
We are from Iowa. This was our belated honeymoon, and neither of us had ever been to Maine. Staying at Victorian by the Sea made it truly special. We can't wait to go back.

Rooms were nice, but no A/C.

No airconditioning. Hot hot. Humid. No coffee or breakfast until 8am. My husband and I are early risers. Went out for coffee and breakfast. Asked about brewing when we awoke. Denied. Tea only. Not pleased.

I would recommend Victorian by the Sea to anyone and everyone. It was so relaxing and refreshing. Caroline is a wonderful host. She is knowledgeable about the area and very helpful in suggestions of what to do and where to go. Not to mention, and excellent cook! The atmosphere was incredible and we would absolutely not hesitate to enjoy a weekend here again!

We stayed only one night but we will definitely be back! The room was elegant and so comfortable with a magnificent view of Penobscot Bay. Caroline, the Inn Keeper was so warm and hospitable and helped us with recommendations of where to eat supper in Camden (Longgrain… it was amazing! ) and she made the most scrumptious breakfast for us of melt in your mouth pancakes, Maine Maple Syrup, and the yummiest yogurt parfait I've ever had. Great care was taken in all aspects of our stay to make us feel welcomed and at home. I would highly recommend staying at this charming and beautiful Bed and Breakfast nestled in one of the most picturesque parts of Maine!

What a wonderful 4 days mini vacation. All went nicely at the Victorian by the sea … a true 5 star room and services. Love it.

A beautiful and tranquil place.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights during August of 2016. Now we wish we had planned to stay even longer! An amazing Inn in a quiet and peaceful setting. Tastefully decorated and impeccably clean. We felt spoiled and pampered in our second floor room overlooking a beautiful lawn and garden with views of the ocean. We particularly enjoyed leaving the over-sized windows open wide all night to hear the waves on the beach below. The owners were friendly and helpful with suggestions of what to see and do in the area and their breakfasts are NOT to be missed.

This place is so great! They have the absolute best breakfast! There are 2 courses! The other guests were so amazing to visit with also. We stayed in the Sawyer Suite with such amazing views of the ocean. Will definitely stay here again when in Maine.

We just got home from our second visit to Victorian by the Sea. Our week there went by entirely too quickly. The great room, the wonderful breakfast, and Jeanne and Rob's warm welcome all made for a wonderful time. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Inn to anyone wanting an escape from their busy lives. Next spring can't come soon enough!

Oh we had a wonderful stay. Our room overlooked the spacious backyard onto to water. Jean and Charles are gracious hosts and Paula who showed us around. The food was outstanding with inspiration from this area. We had a sitting room with fireplace a cozy place to read and relax. We ventured down to the water and sat one morning. Nearby Camden is a charming town to visit. It was all a great experience.

We had the most romantic time at Victorian By The Sea and the general Camden area. A glorious spot, beautiful house and garden, and lovely, cozy rooms. We can't wait to return some day.

We have stayed at Victorian by the Sea on several occasions, including spring, summer and fall. It is a lovely inn near Camden and on the Penobscot Bay, far enough off US 1 to feel a world away from other tourists. The innkeepers are gracious and helpful. Gourmet breakfasts pull guests from comfortable sleep in rooms decorated with good taste and great care. The porch and lawn are ideal for spending an afternoon reading or visiting with others. The area offers many day trips from which to use the inn as a base. It is an easy drive from the Boston area, including Logan Airport. The Victorian is a wonderful destination for a weekend or a week.

One of the best B&B's we have ever stayed at. The Inn is very well maintained and the grounds are keep neat and trim. The view from the large wrap-around porch of Penobscot Bay is wonderful. The best part of the stay is breakfast. Five Stars! What a treat to have truly gourmet fare in such a beautiful setting. We will be back for sure.
