We have been returning guests at the Inn for over ten years now, happily introducing family and friends to this extraordinary property and experience along the way. What is remarkable is just how Daina and the entire staff have not only maintained a seamless five-star experience for over a decade, but in fact have found ways to improve and advance the property and experience even more over the intervening years. It takes remarkable commitment and effort to do so. But they’ve done it. Gracious service, unparalleled accommodations, incredible location, and enthusiasm and warmth. Better than ever. If one can begin with perfect and still improve upon it, this is it.

With only two precious days for our honeymoon, we chose Inn at Sunrise Point in hopes it would be everything it looked to be online. It was so much more! Everything was magical, cozy, delicious, luxurious, easy… take our advice if you only have a night or two, order a cheeseboard ahead of time, sink in to the view and sounds of the Maine Coast with a glass in hand and the most relaxed smile on your face. Take a long, relaxing bath, light the fireplace and watch a movie from their large selection available in the library. Sleep incredibly well in the most comfortable bed and soft linens and wake to see the sunrise. Wait, there is still more, a scrumptious freshly made to order breakfast awaits you in the bright sunny dining room. The inn keepers, chef, other guests are all eager to help you enjoy your stay. We are counting the days until we can return! (Stayed in Winslow Homer Cottage)

We are at Inn at Ocean Edge right now as I right this. And we are only here because we could not find the name for Inn at Sunrise Point, where we stayed in 2015. Sunrise Point was beautiful. Was it perfect? No, but pretty darn close. And their friendliness and attention to detail was amazing. We fealt like we were with family. Her at Oceans Edge, the staff are just wierd. Smug, and a definate feeling of just not giving a damn. We made one simple request, which in every other hotel comes standard, and they just couldn’t be bothered to try and fulfill it. They weren’t exactly busy at the time either. Two kids, that look like part time highschool students were manning the front desk. Just a reminder, we’re talking about Inn at Ocean edge just up the street. We wish we were back at Inn at Sunrise Point which is the hotel you are wisely considering right now! Take it! They are great people, and the hotel is very close to the water. Where are we right now? Stuffed into a separate building even further from the ocean than the main building. At 500 dollars a night. It’s hotter here than the main building, with a littany of shortcomming which we’ve filled a full sheet of their complimentary note paper with. If you are on the Inn at Sunrise point site, do yourself a favour and book it. And if you do, we wish we were you.

Clean, simple and elegant in every detail. Cannot express how much we enjoyed our stay; no details were overlooked! Breakfast was excellent and set in the most charming venue.

The inn was a splurge for us, it was totally worth it and we will return. The entire staff, starting with Daina — the owner, is superb. Most of the time we did not have to ask for anything, it just appeared automatically. I have a limited diet and every need was satisfied in a delicious manner. Breakfast is an event not to be missed — my husband even noted the juice glass was chilled. Immaculate room and property. Comfortable bed, wonderful linens, great lighting, good control of temperature, fresh flowers, stocked & complimentary drinks in room fridge. A view that pictures cannot do justice. We slept with our balcony door open at night and enjoyed the sound of the waves. After a rain one night our very comfortable balcony chair cushions were replaced with dry cushions. We stayed in the main building in the EB White room. We never felt crowded and would certainly stay in this room again. An afternoon in the sunroom enjoying tea and a cookie or muffin is not to be missed. I feel like I am probably forgetting some amenity, but can say without question this is one of the nicest inns we have ever visited and by far the nicest of the six others we have stayed at in Maine. You will not regret this choice and will probably be planning your return as you leave the property as we were.

The only downside of the Sunrise Inn is having to leave. World class innkeepers create the perfect setting to experience the best of mid coast Maine.

Such a beautiful location. The decor of our room (E. B. White) was airy and light and we loved having a top view of the water on our lovely balcony. Everyone was gracious from the hosts, the morning chefs and owner to the other guests we met! We stayed two nights, had delicious breakfast each day and so wish we could of stayed longer. We loved the sitting room with the fireplace where we stopped to have a night cap after being gone for the day. We will return!

This truly remarkable place is just absolutely beautiful… My sincere thanks to the innkeepers not only for this impeccable property, but also for your kindness and your generosity.

I have been a guest at the Inn for the past 3 years and have re-booked for the next 2 years to return at the same time. The staff is professional and friendly, very ahead of the needs of the guests in every possible way. Every detail has been well thought out, addressed prior to check-in and they are totally committed to making the guests feel pampered and stress free. The rooms are beautifully decorated with every possible amentity to enhance the time spent there be they books to read in comfy chairs in front of a working fireplace or showercaps to wear in the spotlessly maintained bathrooms. Breakfasts are so delicious and varied, the experience is beyond expectation. And during the stay, each afternoon held a surprise tea cake or cookie selection along with a selection of teas and coffees in the sunroom/solarium or the porch all facing the bay from atop a green expanse of flowers and chairs on which to sit to simply meditate… or chat with guests… whatever the desire. A truly magical experience!

We just came back from our second visit to the Inn. We liked the facility so much last time, but could only get one day that worked with our schedule. So this year, we got two days in a room we would be excited about. Again, we were not disappointed. Next year… 3 days?!? Staying at the Inn is not inexpensive; but worth every penny. As soon as you arrive you are immediately greeted with a sense that you have arrived home (without the kids and stuff). The attention to detail and the personal service is impeccable. We requested a last minute lunch that we could take with us on a hike to Mt Battie tower. We took the lunch and opened it sight unseen when we arrived at the top. It looked like a feast and was the envy of the all the people on the mountain. Not to mention, they provided us with a backpack to use, forgetting to bring our own. If you want to treat yourself to a special time, whether a weekend or longer, there is nothing close to the Inn at Sunrise Point.

This was my first visit to the Inn, but it will not be my last. All of the staff are wonderful, professional and warm and welcoming. The Inn is well cared for and immaculate. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with plenty of quiet spots to enjoy the Maine coastline.

This was our second trip to the Inn and once again, it was superb! impeccably clean, superb service in a delightful environment. The staff are wonderful and the attention to detail was excellent. We look forward to going again!

Hi All, How many way can we say Wonderful? Only negative is not having made reservations for next year. May one day we can do that. We truly feel at rest and peace there. I am an early morning person and to be able to go down to the little bench on the wooden stairs to the beach is the best. I love the quietness of the water where ever the tide is. Amazing ocean views from a charming and comfortable room, super relaxing because every detail is thought of for you. Kind and caring staff. The breakfast every morning was yummy and a great way to start our day! They were amazing to us, we were pampered but not fussed over. Thank you Daina, Mimi, Hillary and all! I'd give more than 5 stars for sure.

We arrived to celebrate our 25th anniversary to a cozy, very clean cottage room. All our needs were anticipated with too many amenities to list. A wonderful breakfast was included in a lovely dining area in the maine house, which was taylored to our wishes. They even accommodated my dairy allergy. This place was located on the coast, viewable from our room. The grounds were welcoming with chairs and even a hamick to enjoy the ocean sounds. We even enjoyed a couples massage in our room, arranged by the inn. The area towns had many restaurants and activities available. I look forward to making another visit!

I cannot give adequate words to describe! The peace in my soul when I am sitting on the balcony listening to the waves crash against the rocky shore can't be found just anywhere! My dream vacation has always been a B&B on the Maine coast and I found the perfect place here at the Inn. Beautiful rooms, scenery and people. We feel so welcome here!

Our stay at the Inn at Sunrise Point was absolutely wonderful! First the inn itself is truly breathtaking. The staff was incredibly welcoming, kind, and helpful. The room we stayed in was extremely comfortable. We stayed in the newly renovated Wyeth Loft which was beautiful, our bed overlooked the Atlantic Ocean! Chef Brad created both a beautiful and delicious breakfast that made it impossible not to want to get out of bed in the morning. I can't wait to stay with Daina and the entire staff at the Inn at Sunrise Point again! I would highly recommend this inn to anyone who is looking for a beautiful place to stay on the coast of Maine.

HEAVEN IN MAINE! SO IMPECCABLY CHARMING! The location, spacious private suites, delicious chef cuisine and attentive on-site staff are "FANTASTIC"! God is seen in the details" of Inn at Sunrise Point!

I don't know if I can adequately describe the setting at Sunrise Point. It is perfect, don't get me wrong, but I have still never found an atmosphere like this at any of the many small inns I have stayed at. When you wake up, or at least in the room I stayed in on the first morning I woke up (Richard Russo), the clean and beautiful room was awash in morning light and I thought I was still in a dream. Granted this may not happen to anyone else, but I wish it could. I think I spent at least 2 hours on the porch that day dunking a bag of tea while staring at the perfect sea stretching out before me. The ideal place to relax, reflect and recharge. Also the breakfast was phenomenal and Daina was delightful!

This place is amazing. This is our last night and we don't want to leave. The view and the room is amazing. Staff if fantastic and very helpful. Breakfast and the afternoon treats are awesome. I can't wait to come back.
