First time in New Orleans for my daughter and I. We really loved everything about Club La Pension. The staff was the best… so helpful and friendly. The decor gave a perfect feel for NOLA. The location gave you easy walking access to all areas of the French Quarters, the Business District, and downtown. An amazing trip and can't wait to come back again!

Within walking distance through the French Quarter. Two great restaurants just steps away: The Creole House and Coterie.

Very nice room eclectic design near all the places you want to see in New Orleans.

I love this property! It’s clean comfortable quiet with great service. Close to everything and two great restaurants within a. Minutes walk.

We had a wonderful stay Will and Curtis are your employees of the month! They rock. Most of your front desk staff was nice and friendly. But overall we had a enjoyable stay and already planning if we’re ever in town again this will be our go to place.

Accommodations were superb and in heart of all the activities that we wanted to experience. Staff was exceptional, especially Will, our Doorman! This guy was phenomenal and the Resort is fortunate to have such a dedicated employee!
Even with all the extra traffic and activity at night, outside our room; we had a great stay and would do it again!
Our update left a little to be desired at the end of presentation, as we were made to feel as we were such disappointments for not considering doing additional purchase. Besides that though, we had a wonderful stay!

Albert and the staff were awesome! Very clean and friendly! Close distance to all the favorite spots. Will definitely be our new place to stay!

Loved the character and the patio. Spacious rooms and wonderful staff. There is street noise on the rooms in back in the morning. I played sound machine for background noise and slept just fine but it may bother light sleepers.

Booked a 1 bedroom and requested a balcony. Woman at front desk was wonderful and let me know the room was small with a full bed and pull out when I mentioned having children with me but that she did have a larger room with 2 beds and pull out just no balcony. This worked better for us. She had a man show us to our room and he was great. He checked the room over and made sure everything was in order and working. Really nice man… maintenance man possibly. Room has 3 large windows but no real view. Some street noise but that's to be expected in a busy city. The room has a white noise machine and earplugs to help if needed. Spacious and comfortable. Great experience, nice room, fantastic staff, and great location!

I absolutely love this place. I reviewed outstanding service from Wafaa, Kenneth, and Damien during my stay. I will definitely come back to this location.

Received a promotional offer for a 4-day 3-night stay in New Orleans. Bluegreen Vacation Club required us to attend a mandatory two hour sales presentation that ended up lasted close to 4 hours at this location. This was the only part of the promotional vacation that I did not enjoy. We did receive $100 in Bass Pro gift cards, so it was not a complete waste of time.

Very eclectic, so fun! The location is great. The staff are all very friendly & helpful. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable & kitchen is a real plus! We will return!

The resort is nice. Some things were not available during our stay, such as a room with a balcony due to construction/remodeling. The staff on duty when we checked in — Elise and Will — were phenomenal! The rooms are pretty small and this resort does not have some of the amenities that are available at most of the other resorts, but I would still return to La Pension.

This is a nice resort. Have been to many Bluegreen properties. This is the second time staying at this property. Iashia, the front desk clerk is very nice and helpful. The location is awesome. Extremely close to everything. You will not need your vehicle, you will be charged $39.00 per night.

This hotel is beautiful and has a creative electic flare. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are smaller than average hotels due to the age and location. The rooftop has a relaxing feeling with a fun, outdoor chest game. The only complaint is that our room's bathroom had hair on the floor and needed mopping. Something housekeeping should've taken care of when cleaning.

Great location and friendly helpful staff. The room was also awesome with all the amenities you needed but decorated to go with your experience in the French Quarter. It could use more towel racks in the bathroom and counter space, though.

The building is near as center as you would like in New Orleans. The converted building has an elevator nice accomodations and is within walking distance of the major in town attractions. A few blocks from the French Quarter and not far from the river it was very nice. Our room was in a converted attic and has nice views of the city. The room was well appointed as are most Blue Green accommodations. The staff was very helpful with arranging tours and tickets. A nice stay in an interesting city.

I stayed here as a hotel guest during a recent conference at the convention center. My room was clean and well laid out. Note that this site is converted from several pre-existing buildings and that each room is unique. I definitely appreciated the wide-plank wood floors in my room, but was extremely disappointed in my effective lack of windows (there were only two windows, both small and at floor level in the bedroom, so I couldn't even look out). Also, I wasn't able to access Wi-Fi the first and no one answered at reception. Although this review spent more time on the negatives, it was a pleasant stay and I would return.

The people working there were friendly and helpful. Comfortable accommodations. My only issue was that it took more than 10 minutes to get warm water whenever you want to shower, etc. I also would have lived to see some towel bars in the second bathroom. There is plenty of space to put them, and not much space to hang towels.

We haven’t stayed at this location yet, but we are members and decided to stop in and check it out to see if we’d like to book sometime. Wafaa Tullier helped us and she was AMAZING! She was so bubbly and kind and showed us a demo room and hooked us up with some tour discounts! Ask for her if you need any type of assistance or suggestions for food or activities in the city. Will definitely be booking ASAP.

So if you've been to Bluegreen properties in the past this is going to feel different, but in all the ways it should in order to be a great New Orleans experience. This property is in the midst of it all. Located just in the edge of the French Quarter, so much is accessible from the property by foot or by Streetcar. Do not drive! It's a waste! New Orleans is a walking city and you can get to so many of the places you want to visit on foot or via Streetcars. The units themselves are smaller than the average Bluegreen property, but again, that makes since given its in such a historic looking building on Decatur St. A street that will take you directly to Jackson Park. There's no pool or workout room, but there's great outdoor space on two roof patios. This is a place to indulge, so don't worry… You'll work of all that off with all the walking you will do.

Service was great and friendly, knew a lot of info about events and places to go. Room was amazing and had a good view of Canal street. The only thing that could have been improved is softer toilet paper.

I had made reservation for a 4 night stay in New Orleans. Received a call from a representatives Bluegreen in New Orleans a few days before my trip and offered a couple of free items if I would spend an hour with representatives to get answers to any questions I had about my membership. Well actually the hour was to listen to a pitch to buy more points and upgrade. Since I was not interested to listen to the upgrade because I was satisfied with the plan I had — I don't get the freebies. This is not for people on a cane or walker. I had hip surgery about 3 weeks ago and there was not one chair or couch in the unit I could sit down on.

All the charm of New Orleans. Super location just 4 blocks off Bourbon St. Just around the corner to Canal. Super nice clean unit, we had a studio on the 5th floor.

Just stayed here during NYE timeframe. Decent location to the casino and French quarter. However, we never got enough towels while there. No balconies for smokers. Valet parking was extremely overpriced (close to fifty dollars after tax), go to the casino instead to get free parking with 30 minutes of play time. Rooms were okay overall and having a microwave and kitchen supplies were helpful. Bed was comfortable, but bedroom always stayed a little too cold, but the main room would get warm. Not insulated well for noise at all, so you can hear everything outside. They try to help with earplugs and a white noise machine though. Has neat local artists work in the rooms.

The staff was absolutely wonderful. I would not return because of the slamming doors. Somehow, your staff came from the first floor to guest area and she pushed the door and it didn't slammed closed. Figure that out and maybe we would return.

The staff is great and it’s a very nice place. No complaints with the resort but as usual with us being Platium members we again didn’t get a great room. Got a room with a view of the alley, a double bed but was told it was a queen This seems to be the norm with every resort we visit.

Very nicely decorated property. Excellent location for doing lots of stuff in the New Orleans City. Valet parking at $35 per day is rather pricey, and there are no convenient places to park nearby. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was very spacious, and clean. Also nicely decorated as well. I like that you had to use a key card to access the elevator. Felt very safe. Water pressure in the shower was below normal. That was about the only flaw. Will definitely be staying again. Just not bringing a car.

My wife and i, were in the area, so we stopped in and asked for a tour of the place. The staff was great, we rode the elevator to the rooftop, and it was a real nice view. Our guide showed us a little more around. We had a nice time. Thinking about staying here in our future visit.

The location was great, very close to the House of Blues and other attractions in the French Quarter. The room was small but well decorated with a comfortable bed. The room had glasses, a mini fridge, dishes, utensils and a convection microwave, but no oven or stove. The service was superior.

I would strongly recommend avoiding this place. The strong arm sales tactics actually cost them a sale.

We visited New Orleans as a guest of new in vesters. The place where we stayed was beautiful. Very friendly guest until the 11:00 p. M. Shift starts. Not very friendly nor did he greet us entering the hotel. Very friendly staff other than that. I would like to return.

Very cozy rooms. Yes, they are small but this is new Orleans, it's expected in the old buildings. Very clean and not too noisy.

I'm giving a 4 star, because the room size, and bed was small. Only one window which was facing a wall. Could hear all your neighbors comings and goings. However, the placement of the resort couldn't have been in a more convienent place.

Great location between the french quarter and uptown. Staff was really nice. Our room was great, with a bedroom/bathroom upstairs and living room/kitchenette/1/2 bath downstairs. Right off the patio area, so a bit loud at night (but the room came with earplugs). I would definitely stay again.

When I first checked in, I was offered a room upgrade and told I didn't need to do anything extra except wait until they cleaned the room I was upgraded into. No problem! Walked around the city, got thoroughly tired after my long day of driving, and when I returned over thirty minutes past the normal check-in time, the room still wasn't ready. Still not really a problem, so I waited in the lobby for around twenty minutes. I was given my key, and when I got to a room, it was even smaller than what I had originally booked. I had booked a balcony room with a bathroom outside of the bedroom, and this new room had no balcony and the only restroom was in the bedroom. My guest had to come into my bedroom every time they needed to use it; I specifically wanted a layout that would prevent this. Aside from that issue, the location is great. The noise wasn't so bad in my room and they had a great noise machine to block outside sound. The curtains were also great for anyone needing a minimum amount of light after a night of partying.

Great downtown location. The rooms were spacious with a separate living room and kitchenette. Rooms facing Decatur had their own balcony. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I defiantly recommend!

They truely exemplified awesome customer service and a great first impression. We had encountered an unforseen circumstance (not their fault) at check in but Donna and her staff handled it well. Everyone was awesome from the guy at the front door to the front desk staff! So far my stay in New Orleans hasn't missed a beat and one reason was because of the staff. This resort has reminded me of why I enjoy my Bluegreen!

It is a beautiful place with nice, clean rooms. The Bluegreen front desk were so friendly and nice. The concierge was not! We were directed to her for her to show us the entrance to our room and she all but turned her nose in the air. The valet helped us find it. I didn't catch her name but she is someone you can't forget due to her gaudy attire. I guess since I was vacationing with a friend instead of my husband and couldn't attend an owner update, she was less than interested in little old me (owner for 5+years). A map and/or any info on local food and attractions would have been nice but we couldn't even get a hand at the door, struggling with our luggage while the valet was busy. I gave this resort a 4 because I did enjoy my stay but common courtesy needs some work!

The stay was great. New Orleans charm and southern hospitality. The location was perfect… literally minutes away from all the sites and attractions. Everyday, the staff met us with a smile and have a great day.

We had a great experience at Bluegreen. The staff was attentive and the room was amazing. Checking in was a pain. Parking is a hassle anywhere in New Orleans, but the resort has an excellent Valet service. When you enter the resort it can be confusing because there are two desks, one at the entrance and one in the back of the room. The hotel is old. The rooms are great, but they have a round about way of getting to them. We had to take one elevator up to a certain floor walk down the corridor to another elevator that took us to the floor our room was on. The room itself was very nice. The living room had a nice couch and TV. Their is a small kitchen with a fridge and a sink. They had lots of art scattered around our room. The shower was very large. The bed was comfy. They gave us complimentary ear plugs, which was appreciated because the city never sleeps. We woke up to a truck backing up around 3:00 AM. The best part of our room was the balcony. Our bedroom doors opened up to a shared Pavillion. It was very nice and had a decent view. Lots of great seating.

Great room with very comfy bed. The décor was fitting a boutique hotel and the staff made the stay very comfortable.

The front entrance staff are excellent. Will, Charmaine and Jay made checking in an absolute pleasure. The rooms are very quaint and comfortable. The bathroom fan is annoying. The bed was comfortable even though we had a balcony room the outside noise didn't bother us at all. If given the opportunity I'd stay here again.

It is in the heart of the French Quarter. Beautiful boutique hotel, extremely pleasant staff especially Jay, Will & Charmaine. The room is very quaint, it was very clean and I love the decor. The shower door seal is imperfect and some water leaked. I wish it was a little more counter space in the bathroom but they do provide a shelf system. We have a shared balcony looking towards Canal St. We are in walking distance of everything and we love that. The bed is comfortable and at first we were worried about the street noise but we were able to sleep well. I would definitely recommend this as a hotel to consider when staying in New Orleans.

My husband and I stayed here with my sister and brother-in-law. We had a two bedroom suite with a huge balcony overlooking Decatur Street. It was awesome! We had a parade go down our street and people threw beads up at us. It was so fun and we didn't have to endure the crowd. The ladies in the lobby always greeted us warmly. We felt very welcome and appreciated as guests. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed. The only thing I might have changed was the furniture in our living area. A smallish pull-out sofa and not so comfortable chair for four adults made it a little difficult to really sit-back and relax after a long day and night. Everything else was perfect! A special shout-out to Jessica. You Rock!

Great location, funky and fun decor, and very nice and helpful staff. I think the staff was one of the best parts of staying here. They went more than the extra mile when it came to making sure our time in NOLA was great.

We had booked this for a quick one night stay as we came in for a concert. We were skeptical but figured one night we could tough it out. It was perfect. Convenient walk to the French Quarter/restaurants, shopping, etc. Very modern. Room was clean. Though we did not need it, there was even a mini-kitchen.

Pressuring sales. Now regret it 6 months later. The sales lady and her manager told us that if we ever decided we did not want the timeshare anymore, "the company would buyback the property. " I see why she did not want me on my phone, she was afraid I was recording the conversation :) LIAR LIARS. They have NO buyback program! RIPOFF! I see potential legal issues with the company as I kept the recording of the whole process.

My wife and I stayed there during Katrina for our honeymoon. Great staff! In fact, if it wasn't for one of the staff we would have been at the convention center or still on the 4th floor. Her son drove us and other guests to Baton Rouge in a Chevy Malibu sedan which took 5 hours and me laying across my wife's lap and two other guests laps with my head out one window and my feet out the other just as the water was getting to Decatur from the north.

Awesome service. Small yet adiquit rooms. Would stay again. Close to everything.

I registered for a conference at the Sheraton but there were no rooms. I found La Pension and read the reviews. I booked my room at the same conference rate. When I entered La Pension, the valet and desk staff were very friendly. The room was 300 sq. Feet with a living room, kitchen, bedroom and a bathroom with a whirlpool tub. The bed was fantastic and I slept better than I have for years. No bed bugs. Yea. Overall the facility needs some paint and TLC but it is a historic building and the charm was outstanding. The balcony was great in the morning for drinking coffee and watch the city wake up. I only gave it 4 stars because I think they need to perform some up keep. I will always go back when in NOLA. You just can't beat the location, the staff, the high pressure hot shower and the bed. Remember you are in NOLA.
