The only place I will stay in lake charles.

This was the nastiest hotel I have ever been to. My Husband and I were coming from Texas to help with the disaster relief from hurricane Imelda. Before entered our room around 10:30 pm the hallway smelled like marijuana and our comforters has crusty stains on the two queen beds and roaches in the bathroom. I called the main desk to explain our situation and the employee said “Well I don’t have anyone to help you with getting clean sheets there is nothing I can do for you other than giving you a refund and find another location. ” At this point it was after 11:00 pm and luckily we did find another hotel. I do not recommend this hotel for anyone.

Suites are nice and clean and spa in bathroom is great.

Checked in and the air conditioner sounded like a loud generator. Finally got another room and woke up to them weed eating outside our room then loss of power to half the room.

The “accessible “ room has a low toilet and one weirdly placed safety rail. The room was clean, but not maneuverable if you’re in a conveyance.

I Have Always loved this hotel, but my last experience there for Valentine’s Day has made me say I will never return! Me and And Wife Got the room because they have a beautiful jacuzzi suite so we got it to have a romantic night, so she set up candles and roses peddles etc. And then begin to run the jacuzzi water and it was brown, so the front desk said for us to move rooms, well that sucked because it was hard tryna get all the decorations and repack to move rooms. So we m…ove to the next room and the water is not brown, so we think everything is ok. Until the we run the tub full of water and the water faucet won’t turn all the way off so we can the front desk again and say they water won’t turn off and she says nothing the can do so at this point me and the wife just bath and leave for dinner but upon our arrival the tub is still full of water and won’t drain, so as for our romantic night we can’t even have a special night because we can’t get the tub to completely drain! So I finally speak to a manager and he says sorry about your unpleasant night but it’s nothing we can do for you!

Hotel is great. Room is clean and spaces. For the price it is great. I would stay again.

Well, if you really have to get a room in Lake Charles, it would do. However, the one thing I expect from a simple hotel like this is cleanliness: bottom line for a non-luxury overnight for business. Residues resided on basically all surfaces, mild oder, even the paper signs had sticky stains. And oh, the bed prevents the bathroom door from closing and the ironing board and iron must be hauled to the front of the room because there is no outlet near where they are kept. Comfortable bed earns a star.

I loved my stay. We came in for my daughters' birthday. We were greeted and made to feel at thome. The room was clean and had a kitchenette. This staff was amazing making my girls day special. The breakfast had many kid friendly items. We will be staying again and would recommend this to anyone wanting a nice quality room.

I don't have anything bad to say about this place or the staff. No hotel is perfect but this one for the most part comes close. I'm living out of this hotel for work and enjoy this hotel life so much better than thelast hotel experience. (Woodspring)

Awesome service, reasonable rates on room.

I can't express to you how much I love love LOVE this hotel. My husband works out here quite frequently recently and we have stayed in several different places when they have been full but even though there is an extra drive from here they make it worth it! The rooms are clean staff is absolutely amazing. Everyone is so polite and respectful. We have our son with us and he can be rambunctious (he's one) and everyone just loves him. I will always come back here. I recommend this place to everyone for a cost efficient clean friendly place this is definitely the place to go!

My friend and I were visiting from Austin, TX after spending a week-long vacation in Panama City Beach, FL on August 2017 for our summer vacation and we chose to stay at this hotel in Lake Charles, LA to sleep along the way home. The rooms were ok, breakfast was ok, but nothing too special, but the only thing I didn’t like from this hotel was that the elevators were pretty shaky for each floor you stop on while going up or down. I feel like the elevators need to be fixed up somehow, even when it’s lifting a lot of people to each floor. But this hotel was ok for my friend and I. I only slept there for a night to go back home from my week-long vacation with my friend. The hotel staffs were pretty helpful and understanding for whatever you’re concerns are for something.

This place is perfect close to all events that are happening staff is amazing friendly helpful informative more then willing to listen and help rooms are extremely clean if you can definitely stay here I know you will love it also.

The large Jacuzzi tub was an added unexpected bonus… only complaint water didn't get very hot and had a yellow tint when filling the tub. Our room was located right next to the elevator so the dinging of the elevator door was irritating but not something that would prevent me from staying again or recommending to others. We got a great rate and a very nice stay. Silver was at the front desk and a huge help to everyone coming through the doors. Great job. Breakfast was nice and yes it's a hot breakfast with lots of options.

I didn't like the fact that I heard people stomping in the room above. Other than that, it was fine. The breakfast was great.

The hotel is all around nice. The price on rooms are very good and the rooms are very very nice and smell good. The beds are comfortable and you have a lot of space inside the rooms. Don’t expect the breakfast to be spectacular though. Highly processed foods, and the stuff is not even warm, sausage is microwaveable, the juice over concentrated and the milk was very warm. Service was very good at the hotel. Very friendly people at the front desk, and very nice people who clean the rooms. I would recommend this hotel but not the breakfast lol.

The separate sleeping and living area was very nice. Or first room didn't have a door between the areas but the second did. The breakfast was standard hotel fare but still good.

I found a great deal on this hotel on priceline for like $49 and was well worth it. It was very clean the staff was friendly and the breakfast is good, waffles juice biscuits and gravy eggs and pastries nothing fancy but good. I was really surprised at the size of my room it had a seating area separated from the bed. This was definitely not what I was expecting for the price and I had a view that overlooked the lake.

We were down there for a wedding, and it was terrible. Our room was missing a shower curtain, and when I called down stairs the front desk was getting snarky at me. Ten minuets later housekeeper finally came with a shower curtain. While she was in there, we saw a cockroach and she didn't say anything of it. While the children was showering, we realized the room only had 3 towels. I called downstairs and they said they only allow 4 towels for room, which our room didn't have either. We had to use one towel already for the floor as a mat. Our bathtub also did not drain. I have no doubt that we ended up getting bed bugs, as both of my children came home with mysterious bites. Avoid at all cost and pay an extra $20-$30 somewhere else.

Our security guard AKA the older lady who sets up the breakfast bar, is there to make sure she stares into the depths of your soul as you decide against finishing the odor rich food they serve. When you are done eating the poisonous food she then snarls at you as she serves you up a piping hot bowl of organic, GMO and antibiotic free, pure, unfiltered CONTEMPT and HATE. To be clear, she hates you, she hates everyone. They refuse to refund any money, which I should've guessed, considering they won't spring for breakfast food that hasn't passed the 'best if sold by' date.

Cleanliness was in question. Our room was damp which caused sinus headaches every time we were in the room, possibly mold. On our last day we also saw a roach. Didn't see much of the staff to comment on how friendly they may or may not have been. Water in the pool was murky and cloudy, but there were a lot of people in it at the time. Breakfast was a nice variety, waffles are always a win.

My hotel room was very dark and had a musty odor. I had to use a light that I purchased to get work done. The light revealed several stains on the carpet. The lady serving breakfast was rude. My flight landed early and I asked could I be accommodated for early check in. The hotel cashier kindly stated no because there were no rooms available. The breakfast lady was speaking with the male customer service staff member before I walked in, after I asked where the restroom was she hurried and went to the restroom and locked the door. There were two stalls inside the restroom. I can only suspect she was only using one. After she came out I greeted her she looked away and didn’t respond. The next morning during breakfast before I checked out she never greeted me again only starred at me. Never acknowledged that I was there. I smiled at her and she put a frown on her face. This hotel seriously need better lighting and a better cleaning regimen. With the exception of the breakfast lady the staff was nice. I stayed two additional nights in Lake Charles and stayed at another hotel because the lighting and customer service was better obviously better.

I normally do not like doing bad reviews and this is not a bad review just a suggestion. At breakfast I went down to the lobby to eat and right after we started eating we witnessed the breakfast person gathering trash off the floor, pushing the trash down in the trash can so that they could remove the trash bag from the container, and then start putting the bread in the bread bin without changing gloves and not using the clappers to put the bread in the bin. I'm not a germ freak, but that did bother me. We then decided during our stay that we would eat out for breakfast. The hotel itself was great and clean for the most part. The only thing in my room was that the water in the bath tub was a rusty red color and I'm not sure if it is from the water itself or maybe the tub. Other than those two things our stay was great and had no problems. I would return just probably wouldn't eat breakfast.

Very nice hotel! Friendly staff great price! But not very clean! Hotel reeked of animal urine and bathroom wasnt clean at all, had to go out and buy a few cleaning supplies. And not to mention tub was very rusty and rust was in my 5 year olds bath water in whirlpool! Hope she doesnt get sick and didnt ingest any of that water!

The staff is very friendly, nice rooms, and a good location.

This was a very nice and clean hotel! The only reason I'm giving it a 4* is because y all rally need to update or Change out those bath tubs and you should not allow guest to bring their pets around the breakfast area where people are eating. We didn't eat at the breakfast bar because of the lady with the dog and there was not a very nice selection of food. The view was Amazing and also love the indoor pool.

This is a very nice hotel for the price. It has a great location for accessing all casinos. Was very surprised that it does have an indoor pool. It also has a nice workout facility with TV's. I will definitely stay at this hotel again anytime I visit Lake Charles.

For holiday weekend. Great prices and convenient. Coffee was good for a quick cup. Breakfast bar not great free. Pool and weight room. Worked perfect for us.

Beautiful view of the lake. Super friendly, generous, helpful front desk guy allowed us to keep the pool open later than posted hours because we checked in late with kids who HAD to swim. Room was large and looked modern, like it had been recently remodeled. Fluorescent lights in the room seemed glaringly bright, especially the overhead in the sitting area. Comfortable, clean room, very enjoyable. The only small complaint I have is that there was quite a bit of flotsam in the pool. Idk if the filter needed to be changed, or if the pool needed cleaning, or some chemicals, but the floating stuff was kind of gross. I still would stay there again, and would recommend to others.

This hotel is nothing like the pics. Front desk was very nice and respectful. I would not recommend anyone to style here. It looks and smells horrible. The rooms are run down. Rooms were not clean. Ramdom people hanging around this hotel. Whoever said this hotel was a great place to stay was wrong in my opinion. We made a trip for nothing, just to turn around and go home.

Not good. Traveling with a softball team and one of the parents found some negative reviews the day before we were to head that way. I contacted the manager and was assured that the reviews were "inherited" from the previous ownership and that he would personally make sure all our rooms would be up to standard. Well… we all checked in, some of us not getting into a clean room until after 10:00pm even though we had been there since 4:00pm and before 9:00am the next morning we had all checked out. The place was an absolute filthy disgusting mess. Mold, dirty beds, stinky sheets, crap growing in the a/c units. Just plain aweful. I had stayed in the past as had most of this team and it was what you'd expect from an $80/nt hotel. This go round it wasn't worth the star that I gave it much less $80. Stay away. I spent more than double the price for the next 3 nights which wasn't in my original travel budget but it was worth every penny.

Had a great stay. Hotel was being remodeled, but that never got in our way. Pool was clean especially the room. I would definitely stay there again. Staff was polite.

Our Service Rep, Megan, was really sweet. A line built up for checkins the minute we walked in, and Megan stayed calm and sweet to everyone the entire time. The hotel was clean, especially our room. The room attendants for our floor were always smiling, and very kind.

The room was fithy & the television didn't work. The clerk moved me to another room that was a little better. However, the room was still not up to par. I had to go to Walmart & buy Lysol, Ajax before I would touch anything.

Blood on the sheets and no blankets. Had to walk to the front after a night of drinking for my birthday with friends to hear they don't have any blankets left for us to even sleep with. The room was freezing and the bathroom door wouldn't fully close. Bath tub felt like it was about to fall through to the floor below. Slept drunk and freezing for a room that was worth a quarter of the money we paid. Close to the civic center but save your time and money.

The hotel is very old and dirty. Wall obšarpanny. On the ceiling of the grapes of dust. Pictures added. We changed the room several times, but from a specific smell not trashed.
I do not advise here.
