Made reservations online. When we showed up we let the clerk know we wouldn’t be staying with our young children because they are under construction. She said no problem but next day we were still checked in somehow and we had to be checked out if we wanted to cancel the remainder of our reservation. When we went back the clerk said that we were being charge for no show and the best they can do is charge us a night and cancel the rest of the reservation. I don’t understand how we were a no show but checked in at the same time. And they should advertise that they are under construction online. I don’t recommend this location base on the customer service received and being charged a night that we clearly told them we weren’t staying there after all due to construction.

Very cozy and clean. This hotel has a nice homey feel to it. Their continental breakfast had quite a bit of variety, and we departed feeling fresh as daisies.

Rooms were clean enough. TV was addiquite. Microwave was clean and well maintained. The refrigerator did not hold a safe temperature. Check in was very difficult. It took us over 30 minutes to check in to 2 reserved rooms, which ended the up not being available. Front desk person was only able to type with one finger and had no computer skills. My room was very noisy. Walls were very thin. I could hear every sneeze and bathroom function from the adjoining room. There was a parade up my hallway in the middle of the night. I could hear Every time my neighbor above me rolled over in the bed. Breakfast was free. No complaints there. Standard fare. Pre-cooked eggs. Greasy bits of bacon. No milk for cereal. There were indeed free cookies and coffee, also hot water and a nice little selection of teas which I greatly appreciated while waiting to check in. Overall the hotel seems to be clean, but less than comfortable stay. About $86 with taxes and fees.

The staff and manager were very wonderful and the place was clean and comfortable. We originally booked a different hotel (super 8) but when we got 5 there after a long day at work then 6 hour drive, we found a huge bed bug right on the pillow. Needless to say we left and found the Country Inn Suites. They found us a room and have us a great rate! They turned out nightmare into a stress free stay. Thank you!

We stay at hotels nearly every weekend so we have some experience with hotels both good and bad. We stay in everything from The Sheraton to the La Quinta inn. This hotel has a very home like feel to the outside. The inside was cute but the carper is dated and could use an upgrade. Overall I would stay here again. $104 two queen beds, little dinning table, mini fridge and microwave. Not bad at all. Bathroom was big and clean. The room comes with free breakfast. We would stay here again if needed.

I liked everything about this place! Except the pillows very uncomfortable! Otherwise great room, nice pool and hot tub, and an awesome free breakfast!

Great place to stay. Room was clean, staff friendly & accommodating. Will definately be staying here again when in Waterloo IA.

Comfortable rooms! Stopped along our travels without a reservation. Was able to get a room easily. Hotel staff was very friendly and even had cookies out for quest. Beds were comfy and the rooms were clean. They even had an additional blanket and pillow just in case. Breakfast was delicious and had a good variety. They even had little to=go breakfast bags for those individuals who get up and go! Pool was nice but the hot tub was even better.

The rooms were nice, a/c was fantastic, which mattered. The beds did feel kind of cheap but other than that, the room was great. Breakfast had plenty of options, but the eggs weren't great.

Decent hotel with clean rooms and free breakfast. The walls are somewhat thin though so I'd avoid being on the first floor if you aren't a morning person. Foot traffic and general noise may well wake you in the morning otherwise. The beds are just OK, but overall the amenities are nice.

This is suppose to be a non-smoking hotel, the 1st room we were given smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. Called the front desk and was given another room, but it was a hassle to have haul luggage between floors. In 2nd room several of the electrical outlets would not hold a plug and the toilet would continue to run after flushing. Hotel needs upgrades and repairs, if you can over look these for a night or more not bad for the price.

People where very nice. Rooms were clean. The pool and hot tub was amazing. And the breakfast was to die for… Thank you ladies.

The decor is dated but the service is great as well as the food. The location is excellent and the main reason I stay here every time I come to town.

Our go to hotel when visiting. Rooms are starting to show their age. Beds and comfortable and the breakfast is wonderful. Wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Stayed in a whirlpool suite, King bed with full size pull out sofa. Kids enjoyed the whirlpool tub. Other hotels I've stayed in had a much more comfortable bed but the room was nice.

We went to the web site, booked a suite paid in full of course for 2 nights. We checked that we had a small family dog that would be staying with us. The web page stated they accepted dogs. We drove a long distance that day to find out at the front desk with our small dog groomed and bathed on a leash with papers, collar and tags in my arms that they did not except dogs. Needless to say we were tired and very angry. The receptionist was nice and admired they were aware the web page was wrong and they were trying to get it changed. We will never use the waterloo, iowa facility or any other owned by this company. Thank you.

Excellent! Friendly greeting. Rooms exceptionally clean. Breakfast great. Lots of choices. Lunch room clean. Food was well stocked. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Best hotel I have ever stayed in… they have board games u can check out… a lending library full of books… heated pool … large rooms that are really clean. Nice hot tub… great staff… thank you for a great stay.

Our stay was great for the most part. We stayed Friday through Sunday and they were very accommodating. We have stayed here in previous years and knew it would be just as good as years before. The only issue we had was from one of the employees behind the front desk who just didn't seem to understand what hospitality means. When notified about issues, such as standing water in the elevator, she rolled her eyes at us. Later when we tried to visit the pool area we found that there were no towels. (Standing water in the elevator explained) We went to the front desk to just let them know there weren't any towels and all she did was give a smirk and nod her head. We got towels from our room and asked if housekeeping could bring us somemore so we could shower after the pool and we were told they didn't have any clean. Understandable as they were at full capacity but she did not try to make things right for us in anyway. We waited for shift change and went to ask if we could get some towels and the person behind the desk let us know she would have someone come up and grab some from an upstairs closet as soon as possible. (That's hospitality) overall it was a great visit and we will most likely go back in the near future. I would recommend it to others.

Overall cleanliness needed some work. The tub was a bit scummy. They were remodeling the pool and hot tub area so there were some issues there. Food was great, and it was nice and quiet.

Always clean with a large breakfast. The staff is very nice and helpful. I stay here at least three times a year and I won't stay anywhere else on Waterloo.

Very thin walls and the floor is not well padded. We could hear people walking around on the top floor. The room above us woke up at 6 am each morning and it sounded like elephants walking around. Very annoying The mattress was uncomfortable and the pillows… smallest pillows in the world. We slept on 2 and they would flatten as soon as we laid on them. Very uncomfortable Our refrigerator didn’t work so our leftover food went bad. It wasn’t even plugged in when one of the staff tried to assist us. She plugged it in but it never worked. No one ever came to fix it. Breakfast is okay. It changes daily. One of the days was biscuits and gravy and it was good.

Nice big and clean rooms. The handicapped room bathrooms are large. The handicapped room's shower has a standard tub, but it also has a bench that folds down across the tub to easily sit. Free breakfast in the morning too, and complimentary cookies all day. The only difficulty is that it can be confusing to figure out how to get into their parking lot.

Not a bad location for accessing Waterloo and Cedar Falls, tricky to get in the parking lot. Our room was huge with the extra pull out couch, perfect for what we needed. Hotel was decent, definitely not updated but the staff make the most of what there is. It was clean and friendly. Pool area was decent as well. Breakfast did leave a bit to be desired. We actually opted to eat breakfast out the second morning since the first morning was not good eggs and no sausage or bacon. Breakfast was really our only complaint. Thanks for a great stay!

Wonderful staff very clean and a super friendly environment.

Ive stayed there 6 years straight for vacation. And every past year has been incredible. This year was by far the worst experience at any Country Inn and I stay at them religiously. The manager was unfriendly, the pool and hot tub were cloudy and slimy, breakfast was horrible. The furniture, carpets and sheets were stained. No flowers hanging around, 2 pots of marigolds were dead, weeds growing in the rocks. We will stay some place else next year. I suggest a change in management.

This hotel is very country feel home to it, hence the name. The staff is wonderful and helped us out when we had issue with the room and moved us to a new one. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and it wasn't to far away from a water park and a mall. Hard to get into or to find the entrance, but it looks and feels like a very nice hotel and it deserves more credit than it is given.

Most warm welcome I've ever had coming into a hotel ever. The whole place was spotless. The rooms were well above expectations. Breakfast had extra stuff and if I could, I'd give it 7 stars. Stay here. It doesn't get much better than this hotel especially for the price.

I had business associates staying at the hotel. Their flight arrival was late and we were meeting early so I left a bag with waters and snacks for them upon arrival. The front desk attendant was extremely kind and personable. I had every confidence he would remember to give the items to my friends and he did. The lobby of the hotel was very clean and tidy.

Staff was amazing for the night shift! Those two girls are amazing and need a raise! Needed a little stay-cation and we picked the best spot probably. :) would totally come back here!

The room was spacious. The pool was nice (went to the hotel for my son's birthday so he could go swimming). The breakfast is great. Very easy process throughout. Staff was friendly and everything seemed clean and smelled ok.

Comfortable bed — pillows were okay, but small. Free cookies, coffee, and tea in the lobby 24/7. Typical Country Inn & Suites room. Very clean. TV system was fairly mediocre — lots of channels, but not HD — at least not most of the channels. Staff were very friendly, and helpful. Weekday breakfast attendant was especially good — kept everything full and hot, and cleared tables quickly, even when things got busy. Breakfast selection could be better, but was fairly typical for this brand of hotel — waffle maker, and one steam tray, but no sausage or bacon, at least not the three days we were there.

Stayed overnight in Executive Whirlpool Suite. Was very nice. The TV was a bit small for size of room (viewing distance) but overall very good. This is a typical Country Inn. Not overwhelming but very decent and clean for the prices paid. Breakfast was excellent. Will definitely stay again in future.

We reserved a whirlpool suite. It was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Breakfast was satisfactory.

Beautiful room, nice check in but need to go above and beyond. Yummy breakfast with a variety of foods, however, limited place to sit. Pool and exercise room needs to bigger. Overall, a nice place to stay.

Clean rooms, accommodating staff, a decent standard hotel breakfast and 12 pm checkout time made this a decent stay.

The staff was nice, however, I felt could have offered to say: if you need anything, just ask us for the prices they charge! The rooms are beautiful and clean but could be bigger! The breakfast had a variety of foods but the seating was limited and people had to stand until a table was available! The computer in th the lobby didn't bring up the internet that well. It was an ok stay, even, though all the rooms were booked, I felt the hotel's swimming pool and exercise room was too small and over crowded with guests! They need to expand!

Beware of making reservations here that are honored! We called reservations earlier in the week and we were told that there was only one room left on Friday night which was a studio suite with a jacuzzi tub for $124 per night. We needed to stay both nights and they said we could move rooms to honor our military room the next night. However the first night would need to be the suite. Instead of moving our six year old, I said we would just take the suite at the higher price for two nights. Upon check-in we found that we did not have the jacuzzi suite and they could not lower our rate even though we didn't get the room we reserved. They ended up giving us $12 off the higher rate to make up for not honoring our reservation. As it turns out, they had plenty of rooms available but not the suite we reserved. Very disappointed as is our six year old who was promised a big jacuzzi tub to take a bath in.

Worse sleep in my life! The mattress feels like cement, the pillows are FLAT, the TV is TOO SMALL, the fridge did not get cold enough to keep the bottle water cold, the bathroom already had hair on the floor before we used the bathroom, the clocks were set an hour early… so obviously we woke up to the last occupants alarm. Front desk ladies are very pleasant but LAZY. They never brought the towels I called for last night and never came to clean our table at breakfast this morning. The free Wi-Fi was useful, but I would never come here again. Oh yeah, there's a leak in the ceiling… room 317

It was a very nice hotel. Not as good as I expect from a Country Inn and Suites. But way better than most other hotels. My room was very clean.

We stayed here twice with kids. Pool was big, hot tub big and deep. Friendly and clean and the area seems pretty safe. Even when it's busy the rooms are quiet. We stayed 2 1/2 weeks the first time, 2 weeks the second and will come again if we are in the area.

Sub par as far as Country Inn and Suites go. Our room was in need of a good cleaning. Garbage behind/under the bed, dirty walls, cold pool, poor service for breakfast.
