Good place Clean and good service.

This was a horrible experience. Called at 2pm to see what time our room would be ready. Was assured that it would be ready at 4pm. Got to the hotel at 405pm and was advised that the room was still being cleaned and wouldn't be ready until 430pm. Went back to check in at 430pm and was advised very rudely that it was still not done and they would call me when it was ready. My husband went in at 445pm and it STILL wasn't ready. We contacted hotels. Com and they contacted the property. They were advised that the room would be ready in 15 minutes… that was at 515pm. We got our money back and booked elsewhere. RUDE front desk and RIDICULOUS wait.

HORRIBLE! DO NOT stay here if you have any level of expectations in regards to customer service, cleanliness or acceptable operations. They charged my card twice, promised a shuttle to and back from a venue, but left me and my handicap brother no way back to the hotel. To top it off they have NO COMMUNICATION what so ever. The Manger, Nick, himself said lied about the shuttle service. Awful, ignorant and unmotivated staff. Absolutely deplorable.

Great place, Friendly people. I was stopping for the night to rest up. And they let me park my truck by the front doors so they could watch my trailer. And gave me a room to over look my truck and trailer. Security was very watchful. If I haul donations again this will be my hotel. Very much recommended.

They employ amazing ppl… They waved our deposit, and half the room rate.

Cheap, staff was neutral, near lots of fast food and restaurants can even go by foot.

Hotel is very outdated. Heating unit in the room was noisy. Hallways were very hot. Elevator in a weird spot super far from the front desk. Room is very small. Bathroom laid out odd.

My aunt made reservations in JUNE for August 8th. We showed up and were told that there was no record of our reservation. Maynard, at the front desk, is completely incompetent. He's the one my aunt spoke with when initially making the reservations and he's who we had to deal with when checking in. She wrote down his name, confirmation number, any little detail she would need after he told her they couldn't send confirmation emails for reservations (smells like a scam to me). When we arrived, he said the reservation number we were given can't be correct because theirs always begin with a 65. When asked about the blocks of rooms that were reserved for the event, he said he had no record of any event until September. Only after putting the mother of the bride on the phone, was he able to miraculously "find" the event. The bathrooms are tiny in the rooms and the door/card access hardly ever worked. The rooms were not terrible, overall. This place definitely deserves 1 star based on customer service alone.

Very pleasantly surprised. From the outside this looks like an old hotel. I got a very good rate, so I was expecting it to be dated inside. Instead I got a great room. Apparently it has been remodeled. Also I checked in early and the manager was very helpful and friendly in helping get me into a room that was ready. I definitely recommend this location.

Pretty darn clean rooms! Well appointed and well maintained. Certainly close enough to walk but a Lyft is even better when seeing a show at the Hard Rock and not wanting to grab my ankles with the price they were paying. Stay here! (there is a diner near by too! )

Clean rooms and comfy beds. Pool was pleasantly large considering some hotels we have stayed at and it also had a hot tub area. Restaurant area is under renovation so breakfast area was small but clean. Food was fresh — my only complaint was that frozen drinking water bottles were inside the juice and milk to keep it cold, which was gross to me — other than that it was fine. It does seem to be in an older part of town near the historic area but it felt safe to us. Side note — there is a neat little drive thru coffee shop right alongside their parking lot that was perfect for coffee on the go when we left.

Great room, good service, delicious breakfast! Would gladly stay here again. There's a lot of road construction going on on near the hotel and so the only problem was finding a way to get to it that wasn't blocked — — but once we got there, things were perfect.

Dirty and outdated. Staff was great. I feel bad for them. They are overworked and short handed.

The place itself needs a little love, but they're working on it. Staff was friendly. Right next to a gas station and a few great restaurants.

Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast has a wide variety and is beautifully presented. Not thrilled with the coffee flavor. Rooms have some age but are very clean and maintained. Was expecting microwave with fridge. However, microwaves are available for $10.

Very friendly and helpful death beautiful rooms nice pool even a shuttle service offered to guests of the hotel. I definitely recommend staying at this place and can't wait for their new restaurant to open up!

Okay stay. The room was quiet but the hotel was under construction. The mornings when I went to my vehicle there where random people hanging out in the parking lot and walking through the parking lot. I may not stay again unless I need to get downtown quickly.

Booked a room for the night. And was getting settled in when I heard our door open. Knowing everyone who "would" have access to my room was in the room made me feel extremely uncomfortable. What if me and my family would've been sleeping? No amount of "im sorry" makes up for that. Someone could've been kidnapped or worse. Thats a unforgivable mistake. Less the a star.

Stayed there overnight while working in Sioux city. We recently switched to this hotel and we couldn't be happier. The rooms are clean the beds are comfy. The breakfast is very good for a hotel breakfast. There's a pool and fitness center. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.

Outdated. Breakfast was average at best. Friendly guest services. TV did not work. Overall not bad but they need to do some repairs/updates.

I’m coming here for 2.5 Years regularly, besides Nancy the best front desk lady the rooms are in good shape the hotel is a good place for business travelers. I’m this week here since Monday and came to my room and had a live bat on my bed. I caught it and brought it to the front desk, who notified the GM who stays in the hotel. He verified my catch, 8 witnesses, walked to my room and inspected. I got offered 1000 points and a dinner. Seriously ? I’m having nightmares, since my company pays for my room I’m only interested in points. A 140$ hotel got bats in my bed and I get offered 1000 points, guys this isn’t right. I got nightmares and probably rabies after I caught the bat.

Over priced, everything is work out, when we were there buckets we're set out in hallway to catch the water while it rained.

This was the worst stay I have ever had at a Holiday Inn. There was mold and mildew in the shower to the point I refused to even take a shower. There was mold on the ceiling above the bed. The TV wouldn't even turn on. The bed was so uncomfortable I couldn't sleep and made a lot of noise. The front desk staff's comment when I complained was I can give you extra points. Extra points don't help fix all the problems with this hotel nor does it help that I was on a business trip with 2 other team members who both also complained about how awful their rooms were and that they couldn't sleep either.

Overall a pretty good experience but still room for improvement. Staff was nice and quickly took care of any of my concerns. Breakfast was “eh” it got the job done but not something I would look forward to. Much rather would have got a muffin and a yogurt on my way out then microwaved bacon and imitation eggs. Room was clean and felt somewhat modern which was nice. The heater / air conditioner was loud and was either on or off which made sleeping with a low heat impossible. Bed was comfortable and spacious. It looked like they had a restaurant at one point but it was under construction so I cannot comment on that. If I come back through I would have no problem staying at this hotel again.

Wanted to let you know that this is, by far, the worst stay at a holiday inn I have ever had.   My husband and I started staying at Holiday inns, because we felt that we could always trust them to provide a clean, comfortable environment. Never thought I would have to worry about bed bugs, roaches, or getting clean sheets. Unfortunately, this hotel has got me extremely worried about what may have come home with us or on us. We got checked in around 7pm and had to rush out. Didn't get much chance to look around, but didn't think twice about it. We got back at about 2:30 in the morning, and realized it was not the clean holiday inn we were used to. We pulled back one of the blankets and noticed blood on the sheets. It was red, like it was fresh, not just  brown stain. So they must not wash the sheets regularly. I tried using the phone in the room to call down to the front desk to let them know, but it wouldn't work. So I used my cell to call, lady that answered the phone was no help at all. I ended up telling her to have the manager call me as soon as they get in. I still have not received a call. Also, the heater didn't work properly, and the wall paper in the bathroom is pealing off the walls. It's not just a little bit, it's every wall.   In the morning we went to they're breakfast. It was really bad. There was a roach on the floor at the  bottom of the stair case, crawling around, It was horrible. It was like we stayed at a motel 6, or 8 or something.

Good value for the location. The walls were pretty thin and the TV in my room atleast had very fuzzy picture quality but the room was clean and well maintained and the pillows were incredibly comfortable!

Clean, well staffed. The elevators need some maintaining. I had to use the stairs to get to the 6th floor. Otherwise this is a nice Hotel.

My family needed a room for 10 hours for a small reunion and had to have a place where there was phone service besides cell service. We also needed a 9am check in. I called several hotels around Sioux City and not one would accommodate us. When I called The Holiday Inn on Gordan Drive, they were more than happy to work with me and help us out. The room was very clean and the customer service impeccable. My husband and I stay often in Sioux City if we are attending concerts, etc. And we will definitely come here again and will also refer family and friends.

The location was good. Right downtown. Rooms were nice. Only problem was that I needed a long bed but got 2 queens instead.

Staff was friendly, room and facilities were clean and updated. However, if you are used to the Holiday Inn Express, this is not it. Rooms were very small and cramped, Wi-Fi kept cutting out. Location is good, but be prepared because downtown Sioux City is in the middle of a huge re construction project. Detours, traffic cones and piles of rubble are everywhere. My navigator was queing me to exits that did not exist.

Check in process difficult and time consuming with no apologies and a lady that was annoyed the entire time because she couldn't handle my reservation as it was not done directly through the hotel (Expedia). Like many Holiday Inn properties in dire need of a remodel. Room was clean and the TV worked.

The rooms were nice and comfortable. Price was reasonable. Food was disappointing and not at all what I've had in the past. Okay experience overall.

Clean. Quite. Relaxing. Spend the money. The check in lady was awesome. They have a pool. Suites, comfy pillows, comfy beds. It was nice.

Very comfortable suite. It's worth the extra few bucks. Very nice jacuzzi tub. A large refrigerator for a hotel room. The furniture is mid century modern. Easy access to the interstate. Will check out breakfast in the morning. The pool is indoors and has adult only hours. Close to the Hard Rock Cafe and the Tyson Center. And for the person who couldn't find the fridge. Well, you have to open a door. Sorry you weren't smart enough to do that.

No fridge, tiny bathroom, small room. Tried to make a reservation and was transferred and placed on hold. Called back to see if they could just tell me if a room would be available when I got there and was transferred and placed on hold again. Seems like a pretty easy thing to check. When I showed up the same lady that answered the phone told me there was a room available within seconds. Phone calls should be treated like the customer is in person.

Staff was very friendly. Kyle at front desk was very welcoming and helpful.

Good rooms. A bit cool because the a. C. Is high but you can turn it down. Overall a good experience.

Didn't spend much time in the hotel. Good beds nice service and decent tv.

Great stay for a good price. Hotel was comfortable and interior was modern. Room was comfy and breakfast buffet was good. Would stay at again.

Good location. The building was in a run down area. The rooms were a bit more expensive that I would expect based on the age. Check in was very easy and all the staff was amazing. No free breakfast was a big disappointment. The free coffee in room was probably the worst hotel coffee I've ever had.

We stayed in a two room suite which had plenty of room in it. A little cluttered with too much furniture. I liked the in room jacuzzi but since they added this feature to the suite you lost the typical wet bar. The room was clean and modestly updated even though you can tell it is a very dated building from the exterior. There is a restaurant downstairs that serves breakfast but I typically prefer the continental just to get my morning coffee.

If you are a train enthusiast and love the sound of train horns ALL NIGHT LONG, this is your place.

Nice clean Hotel, How ever I felt like I could be shoot at any minute. I left my phone charger of course house keeping does not answer the phone to help me out, for spending so much money you would think customer services would be better.

Great front desk humor, I asked if they had any suites, he said "yeah, I think there should be some in the vending machine. " Very polite and helpful! Wish everyone was so light hearted this late at night.

Nice? I would rate this with 1 star. The room was terribly small, odors in the hallway, the bathroom had no counter top space for personals and the list goes on. Makeover? No way. The only nice thing is the TV. While sleeping I was awakend from awful noises in the A/C. Therefore, very little sleep. I tried everything throughout the night with the A/C and it just did not work. The area this is located in was scary enough as well. I will never stay here again.
