Upon arrival we immediately noticed it looked nothing like the photos online — broken blinds and stained/torn curtains in a majority of the windows. Check-in time was 2pm however we arrived at 2:30 and our room wasn't ready so we were given another room. The shower was stained with mold and rust. The room had an odor to it and had holes/metal hooks where artwork appeared to have been hung previously. And we woke up the next morning to cockroaches in the bathroom. Major let down to two mama's on their first night out in who knows how long : (

Pictures on the website are VERY misleading. Broken windows, reeks of cigarette everywhere, holes in the wall, dog hair all over the floors in the room, fire alarms blasted at 4:30 in the morning, we evacuated, NO one from the hotel gave us any explanation as to what was going on, we had to decide for ourselves when we could go back in. Alarms went off multiple times after that. Musty and very dark. Breakfast was old and cold, we even went right when it opened. Toilet took forever to flush. If this hotel is going to continue to stay open maybe change the pictures on the website to truly depict how run down and disgusting it is. Still feeling uneasy about my stay a week ago.

Rooms were not very clean, towels had awful looking stains on them and had an awful experience with the fire alarms and the sprinkler system going off at 5 am and nobody was told why that had happened until we asked. Although, the front desk lady was so kind and apologetic for the inconveniences. Probably wont stay again.

Worst hotel experience I've had in my 34 years here. First room toilet leaked. No biggie we get another room. Go out for the night and when we come back we flush this toilet and water sprays all over everything we had in there. They put us in a 3rd room and this toilet runs all night. 3 rooms 3 non-functioning toilets. Paint peeling all over the bathroom, mirror had weird black mark's all over it. Wont be staying here again.

Rooms are clean and tidy. Breakfast was good. Walking distance to CBD area.

This is one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed at. Terrible rooms: bathroom doors don't shut, no hot water, tiny and dirty bathroom. Not so dog friendly: no grassy areas on the entire lot for dogs to go to the bathroom. Horrible breakfast: limited options, fake tasting food, watered down coffee. It's safe to say we will never be staying here again.

Nasty and unclean horrible upkeep… stuff got stolen from vehicle. Managers did nothing to help.

I actually made a list because this was the worst hotel I've been to… ever! So, here it goes: Holes in the walls Lightbulbs burned out Terrible paint job (not talking about color) Light fixture was not straight Mirror clips were exposed and not attached Wall anchors were exposed Toilet float didn't work, kept running Shower curtain was torn Missing knobs for lights Missing plates for switches The TV didn't have all the channels advertised Phone was missing buttons And the hotel has a terrible odor. I won't be staying at any Ramada in the future.

Terrible place, can't believe that Ramada would even let them use their name. First room that they tried checking me into. I went in to check for bedbugs, luckily I didn't find any. But the mattress looked to have a blood stain on it. Second room had a door that opened to the court yard with a 1/4 inch gap between the weather strip and the floor, ac/heater unit was pulled away from the way to where you had cold air consistently coming through. Third room was by far the best of the three, but still had a stick in the window to replace the broken lock, and the lighting in the bathroom has exposed wire nuts. Then the morning that I was to leave I woke up to the bathroom counter and floor being soaked due to an apparent backup at some point in the night. The only reason I stayed is because there was a blizzard warning and most other places were booked. Never again at this place, move on I tell you, move on.

Good accommodations and friendly staff. Very nice continental breakfast as well.

Needs some freshening up in the rooms, but the lobby and beds are super nice.

Stayed 2 days and the first night I called down because the comforter and sheets had blood on it. They said they'd bring me new ones and he litterly brought a blanket for the two of us. The Wi-Fi didn't work and TV only had 10 channels of The 30 they claim to have. The next morning my husband realised there was also blood on the bathroom floor and so I went down and talked to the lady and she said she'd get all new sheets and blankets and TV fixed and the blood cleaned up. We left for the day and got back late and needless to say TV wasn't fixed, Wi-Fi still didn't work and the blood was still on the floor! Pretty bad when the customers have to clean! Not to mention the buffet breakfast was horrible and Cold! If we hadn't already paid and could have afforded to taken the loss we would have! We will NEVER return!

Please don’t stay here my mom found a roach leg in her ice imagine what is in the food omg disgusting if you have to go to Sioux City don’t stop at this hotel please don’t straight disgusting get a exterminator yuck.

Room was freezing cold and the heat wouldn't work. The water also took a long time to heat up as well. The food in the morning was not very good either.

For the rate of only $65 it was a great deal. Its not a 4 star hotel, but the bed was comfortable, the room was clean and quiet and staff friendly. Is the bathroom tiny? Absolutely, but we didnt pay $100 either. Very affordable and equally comfortable.

Cheapest and best motel out of the lesser motels. Not as ran down as other motels, no bugs, close to downtown.

Horrible place. The bathroom door wouldn't close due to the rubber strip on the floor. The door in our room leading to the outdoor pool had a large gap at the bottom, letting on the — 20 degree cold air and snow. Hot breakfast was out of order.

When we first arrived, I was excited for a pool and a workout. When we got inside I was devastated. Honestly. I walked in, and there was unopened carpeting, and it smelled dirty. When we got into our room, it was dark, and my mom tried taking a shower, and there was no hot water. My sister and I went to find an ice machine, and the one on our floor didn’t not work, and it was empty. We had to go to the second floor to get ice. Anyways, I do not, DO NOT, recommend this hotel at all. We do not plan on coming back.

This place is a dump, period. People live here. This is not a place for travelers. Several different owners and management. Makes no difference, the people that "live" there ruin the place.

The place smelled great. Second floor. The breakfast was awesome.

Old old hotel average place above average beds rooms somewhat outdated flat screen tvs. Ac/heat could be a cause of respiratory infections. Decent breakfast.

Use this as last resort. 12:30 am train going back and forth hooking up in an intersection blowing horn for about an hour about 60 feet away is only one of SEVERAL issues. To long to list. Only good thing was the breakfast.

Rooms were quite dark, but fairly clean. Many things were broken though, and the hotel generally shows signs of poor mainenance and neglect. Our first room had the air conditioner in multiple pieces on the floor, and the toilet didn't flush. We moved to a different room, which had a cracked window. Beds we're pretty hard, pillows were small like throw pillows sized. Overall it really wasn't.

The room was okay, with a fridge, TV, and microwave. We had two rooms, one looked recently renovated. But the other had an old AC unit and the shower curtain was falling off. The roof was being redone, so that shouldn't be a future concern. Things are looking up!

Service has been ok, they cleared up a booking issue that their own website caused and have been helpful and apologetic about it. Room was not very cleaned when we checked in but they we're good about doing it up right and proper after we asked about it. Have had a lovely stay otherwise!

Nice and serviceable overnight hotel for a budget. Clean room and decent staff. Was being renovated when we were there, so it was a bit more of a mess than usual.

Not worth any stars do not waste your money here. Between the bugs and the rooms that are not furnished completely it smells like mold and most of the carpets are wet in hallways and the internet constantly kicks you off. Staff less then helpful.

Cockroaches! pics are NOT up to date. Pool looks to be 20 years older than the pictures. Cockroaches… Did I mention, cockroaches? Exposed electrical outlets. Missing ceiling tiles in hallways. Carpet is dilapidated. Shower didn't drain… water was up to my ankles before I was done. Crappiest hotel we've ever stayed in by far!

I didn't like it. I'd suggest paying a little extra to stay somewhere better. Room was clean except for the sticky bathroom floor and the heater/air-conditioner worked, but it was busted and a little loud. Breakfast buffet was not good. They had buckets on counter catching dripping ceiling. Also, parking lot and neighborhood were shady AF.

Nice clean rooms. Pretty decent beds. The breakfast buffet sealed the deal. Hot buffet as well as cereal muffins etc.

The hotel itself was pleasant. Great location by food and the event center. When I checked in though they had me down for two rooms instead of one. I attribute this to an error message I received on the Ramada corporate site when I was booking where it told me my reservation didn't go through and I clicked submit a second time. But the person who checked me in said that she would cancel that second room so hopefully we're good.

Caution, weekly rates accepted. The room had mold in the shower, dust all around the room, stains on bed cover, and a weird smell (not smoke). The doors to the rooms and bathroom need paint and there was trash in the hallway floor. To bad zero stars is not an option.

Do not go here. Came here because my company paid for it. I would rather stay in my car. No refrigerator in the room had to find one and put it in myself. Air conditioner did not work. Microwave missing. Burnt plug ins. Got changed rooms and the second room the refrigerator had been unplugged for days so nasty moldy water under it. Had to clean it myself. Pool is nasty. Has cigarette butts in it. Go somewhere else other than here. Only thing nice was the front desk girl named jemny.

When we first arrived, noticed the damp musky smell throughout the building. Our room was on the second floor. The window wouldn't lock. The list goes on… bathroom vent didn't work and dust was falling out of it, the bathroom drain was missing the top, shower curtain was 1 foot into the bottom of the tub (should've been hung higher) and the timer for the heat bulb didn't work. Noticed a lot of long term residents with grills outside their rooms. In the morning we had the worst foul smell linger into our room from the hallway, probably from someone's cooking in their room. Lots of leaks on the hallway ceilings with black mold. Swimming pool didn't have any water in it and the pool deck looked like an ashtray. Wouldn't trust the food since there was a large black critter crawling on the counter. Worst hotel experience for us, ever.

The room was not clean and also freezing cold. You can hear everything through the walls/ceiling so because of that we had to listen to our neighboors laugh and blare their music at 7 am. Not worth the money, this was the only hotel available with a room at the time. Save your money and don't stay here if you don't have to.

I travel around the nation for work. I'm in and out of hotels and rented rooms every month or so, that said I've stayed a few hotels. I don't typically leave negative reviews on anything really, unless it's that negative of an experience. This is the first ramada I've stayed at. I understand they where remodeling, but they carpets were literally thrown on to the ground outside where bags of garbage and aluminum cans where strewn about. The stair case was bare with the heads of nails sticking out. I would recommend this hotel if it was priced accordingly, but it's not. 65 dollars a night? it should be more like a weekly rate hotel at 250 a week seeing as that's what I've typically gotten for that price. Aside from that, the guy at the front desk was a total duech. I'm truly sorry if you're forced to stay here. Good luck to you.

Rooms are a little dated, but have everything needed, including a fridge and microwave. Housekeeping was nice enough to leave the heat on… room was about 100 degrees in January upon checking in. Ice machine wouldn't dispense ice despite saying the hopper was full. Woke up early to get a run in, but the treadmill was missing the magnetic key… probably because of the piece lying at the back of the machine. Hotel definitely needs some better maintenance. I'll skip this one and stay at a more familiar place next time I'm in town.

I will have to mimic Jason Smellys post above. When I checked in after a 6 1/2 hour drive at 3am, I specifically told male at the front desk NOT to charge a credit card I held the room under. I walked to my room and looked at my bank online and he had done just that. When I arrived no one was at the front desk, but playing a video game sitting in the lobby. I had to ask him to get up and check me in. When I went back to the front desk immediately after noticing he charge to my card, je was back on the couch playing his video game, and he insisted he didn't charge my card. Then when I asked him to look at my bank transaction he refused. He continued to play his game sitting down in the lobby while I was talking to him about this issue. I asked him repeatedly to look that it had been take out and to refund it back, he said only the manager could do it at 7am. He was playing a video game the whole time during this exchange, was very rude, and the accused me of harassing him. He ended up saying "get out of my hotel" & attempted to kick me out. He hen called the police. After the police arrived, they quickly noticed it was a "customer service issue", pulled me aside and said this was not a good hotel to be at for several reasons. He went on to say the kid was lazy and there was ansolutely no harassment. The kid was confused about having to do his job and being irritated he had to take care of an issue and be interrupted.

I was afraid to stay here because of all the terrible reviews online, but my husand and I lived here for a month and a half (for his work) and it was not bad at all. For the price you pay ($370/week) It was a decent hotel. It is old, but there isn't really a musty smell or anything, it smells like every other hotel. My room was clean, and I didn't complain very much or have a need to continuously contact the front desk so they weren't rude to me. I feel that people who have left bad reviews have probably been used to staying in "luxury" hotels, or they are just impossible to please and complain a lot. Either way, TRUST ME when I say, this is not a bad hotel, for the price you pay, it is worth it, and if we ever need to, my family will be staying here again.!

Rooms were very dirty and damp. Had a very foul smell coming from the halls. Breakfast was pretty gross to. Booked 2 nights, stayed only 1. Got a receipt for one night but still charged us for 2. Had to deal with the bank to get that sorted out. Staff was VERY VERY rude and not willing to help. I was told I had to come back when a manager was there, between the hours of 8am to 2pm. What kind of hotel manager has those hours? Front desk woman would not give me her name, nor the corporate number. She said I would have to find that on my own. Do everything you can to NOT stay at this nasty, trashy run down motel.

Set a reservation for two rooms in April. Four days before check in I call to cancel one of the rooms. They show no record of a reservation. All hotels in the area are booked at this point. Thanks ALOT Ramada.

My daughter and I stayed here 3/27/15. When we checked in they gave us a room that had not been cleaned, but they did change us to another room. This room had a phone that did not work, a power strip that connected the TV, lamp, microwave and fridge, but was faulty and kept powering off (until I placed it on top of the wastebasket to support it). I took the phone cord to the front desk and the attendant changed it. It worked off and on; I also reported the power strip but they didn't do anything about it. The room appeared clean and the beds were comfortable, BUT I have never seen such a tiny bathroom in any hotel I've stayed in. It definitely needs renovation. A person could sit on the stool and wash your hands at the same time or turn around and soak your feet in the tub. Very small. The heating/cooling unit also needs updating to accommodate a temperature thermostat. It was either hot or cold. Nothing in between. I will not stay at this RAMADA again. Oh, the breakfast was terrible as well. Bland scrambled eggs, dry biscuits and gravy that had no flavoring at all. Nope, not for me.

Disgusting, old and smelly. Desperately needs remodeling. Free breakfast was good.

Most of downtown Sioux City is torn up with street construction projects. It's too bad they can't utilize eminent domain to raze this hotel. It's a blight on their city. When walking in you're hit with a stench and massive amounts of fragrance in an attempt to cover the odor. My one friends room had exposed electrical wiring with wire mold that had broken open. The ceiling on the first floor was leaking and buckets were placed in the hallway to catch the water. Another couple in our group had their room changed 2 times because the showers and bathroom fixtures didn't work. It's a dingy, dark foreboding place. Given what a dump this hotel is, I was surprised to learn that they didn't let our group socialize in the lobby after a concert that we attended. This was never an issue at other hotels that we've stayed at. When I made my reservation I requested no fragrance be used in my room due to medical issues. My request was ignored. I've been accommodated at most other hotels that I've asked. The only good part about my stay is that it was short, an overnight. One night in this place was about all I could stand.

The place looks like a hole in the wall outside, but once you enter it's beautiful and clean. The breakfast was amazingly good and the people working there are wonderful. I will come here again. Plus, there is an outdoor pool and clean too.

Worst hotel I've ever been too no entertainment for kids, rude/unhelpful employees who cannot speak english. Power wouldn't stay on in rooms due to poor wiring. Leaking ceilings with soaking wet floors trash all over in hallways and a distinct dirty smell. Worst experience ever would sleep in my car over this place in the future.

It was a great place to stay. When we first pulled up the building looked a bit run down. The inside was better. The rooms were nice and the AC worked great. The best part was the breakfast and the staff, Dennis. He was great with everyone and the food was good, especially the biscuits.

This is easily the worst hotel I've stayed at in the last 10 years. I received a great price on Kayak, but the Ramada name lead me to believe it would be a nice hotel. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. As we were walking to our room we noticed something on the floor in the hallway — — turned out to be a pile of dog crap! The entire hotel has a smoke smell and our non-smoking room was very musty like my old high school locker room. We put our tshirts overs the pillow cases to add an extra layer of protection. We didn't even think about trying the breakfast.
