I never give 5 for anywhere your place was good the road noise the only issue we were expecting this as we were doing Route 66 so Super 8 delivered on that front.

The room we stayed in was nice and well cleaned, and the continential breakfast was good in the morning.

The woman at the front desk was rude and her B. O. Was overwhelming. The room had a funky smell to it. The carpet felt greasy and you did not want to walk on it without shoes. Parking with a 40 foot trailer was HORRIBLE! One bonus, the room was cheap. However, for the extra $15 or 20 stay someplace else, you will be glad you did. Good luck.

Nasty, blankets on bed full of cig burns, people smoking on the elevator smell of weed was terrible throughout the halls and there was a foght out front.

My daughter and I checked in to the Super 8 hotel at 1330 S Dirksen Pkwy, Springfield, IL. We noticed the lobby was dirty and outdated but thought we would give the place the benefit of the doubt. The elevator though smelled horrendous and resembled old beer and cigarettes. The room then did not fair much better. We immediately noticed a large stain on the comforter and floor between the two beds. Within minutes we called downstairs and asked for housekeeping to bring up a new comforter, additional pillows, and alerted the front desk of the cleanliness of the room as well as our disappointment. The front desk attendant told us there was no one from housekeeping there and we would need to go to the front desk for additional pillows never addressing the comforter issue. We then started to look around and found a horrifically kept up room which included a bobby pin, pop cycle sticks, and potato chips under the bed. We then lifted the bed skirt up more and found the boxsprings where covered in what looked like dog urine. This was present on both beds as well, one worse than the other. We then stripped the sheets and found A LOT of various blood stains of which one looked very fresh. Needless to say it was something I did not want my daughter or I to sleep on. Our journey then took us in to the washroom where we found mold caked in the shower stall.

We arrived and checked in. The gentleman who checked us in was cordial. However, when we went to get into the elevator, three people very much under the influence got out of the elevator to use the vending machine. People under the influence who appear to live at the motel were seen all times of the day and night. The security box in back of the motel was broken so anyone could enter the motel any time of the day or night. The breakfast bar was completely filled with garbage and left over food on Friday morning that had not been cleaned up. Garbage cans were overflowing, and no one was on staff to replenish the food. Our room had a broken hair dryer that did not secure. It fell into the sink and turned on randomly one morning, bringing great risk of shock, since the sink was clogged and we had reported this the first day we stayed. A bug was found in bed with my friend one morning. Our television did not work at all during our 3 day stay despite my attempts at asking front desk for help. There were many other things that were wrong — I am one to never complain but this place should not be considered as safe.

Got there late at night Staff was helpful rooms were clean accidentally demagnetized the card 3 times and staff was happy to help with it each time. Didn't wake up early enough for breakfast but the 11am check out time gave us plenty to sleep in.

The rooms were suitable however it was cold upon arrival due to windows left open.

Stay was OK. Stayed for 2 weeks, the front desk lady was extremely rude and disrespectful to me. As a platinum member of their rewards program I should have been allowed late check out but that didn't stop her from banging on my door first thing in the morning. She literally made me cry. Terrible experience for my children and I.

Rooms could be cleaner, had a roach in the room, room had fridge and microwave, microwave button was a little janky, back door was broken so anyone could get in, room did have deadbolt lock, tub could be much cleaner, direct TV so hardly anything good to watch, Wi-Fi was good, overall not the worst.

The night we stayed was incredibly noisy and wasn't a good experience. But the staff was very nice!

Definitely aged and in need. Of renovation. Get what you pay for! Hall reeked of pot, doors slamming all night…

Price was ok but still pricey for a Monday night. Was given a room with stains all over the floor and believe it or not a full iron burn in the carpet. As well as had "neighbors" that were smoking marijuana and making the entire floor smell like it. Besides all that the bed was comfortable but will probably ask to view the room first before future transactions.

The personnel cleaning and doing laundry were smoking pot. The hallways wreaked from the smoke. The manager's had to of known because the laundry room was so close to the front desk. The bathroom in our room wasn't cleaned very well. Definitely won't stay there the next time I visit Springfield. Our phone in our room kept ringing and when we called the front desk they said don't answer it. We unplugged it.

If you're on a budget and looking for a place to stay this is a good deal. Our room had a fridge, microwave and HBO. Breakfast was good as well and there was an ice machine to fill our cooler. For a cheaper priced hotel it had all the necessities.

Bed bugs in room 210! And after finding them and looking up reviews online I definitely would not have stayed here apparently it is a huge bed bug problem here. All I can saw is ewww! Don't stay here.

Basic hotel with clean and well lit room. Breakfast was decent. The (queen sized) bed only had two moderately sizes pillows.

Pretty typical Super 8, some are better than others, this one was on my list of hotels to not stay at again. Room was very dusty, only two pillows per bed, and I suspect I was bitten by bed bugs. Very thin walls. Nice staff, and decent breakfast selection. You get what you pay for.

Nice room, the bed was comfy and the room was clean. Only downfalls were the height of the shower head :/ very low, and the coffee in the morning was terrible.

Good price but the hotel seems to be run down. It smells through out the hall ways and not a lot of amenities. It's a great place if your just passing through but it's not a place to stay for an extended period of time.

The hot water for the shower barely work and had no pressure and you had to play with the knob in order to get hot water, which was jammed. To top it off there was a roach crawling on the wall in the bathroom and I posted a picture of it. Now just imagine if the roach crawled on the towls or rag and potential laid eggs on it. Your drying/washing your body off on that gross. Never again!

Great property for the price. Clean, comfortable and well updated. Decent breakfast, including hot waffles. Easy off, relatively easy on to interstate. Only downside is location to restaurants that deliver… there's only a couple. Other than that, one of my "go to" properties in Springfield.

This place is a crap hole! I've always had good stays at Super 8. Bugs in the bathroom.

No sign of bed bugs, roaches, or any other critters. Room was clean, well furnished, and staff were plesant.

Rooms are good but bed bugs. We are working in central Illinois and often stayed in this hotel, I very sensitive to bed bugs always have bites after staying here. Last time we have stayed for 2 nights, after first night all crew 4 man in 2 rooms had bites so we asked to relocate us but it did help us, after second night even worth. I asked for refund they told me they can't give me that. I asked for bed bugs report still waiting.

Never changed bedsheets the 3 nights I stayed it stinks in the hallway and rooms had to go and purchase air freshener to make it smell halfway decent only reason I stayed was because of my job.

It was not too bad but not the best either. The bathroom was dirty with hairs in the tub and stains on the walls. On the toilet, you could see where urine had run down the toilet. So they have never cleaned that area. The bathroom was also very cramped and the sink is located outside the bathroom. Also, it smelled like mildew the whole time we were there. There were stains on our bed. And the breakfast didn't have too much variety. But the staff was nice and friendly and for the amount of money you pay, this motel is totally worth it.

THERE'S ROACHES ON Im for reals I wass laying on my bed and behind the fridge is a roach crawling up the wall. So when u exit the elevator to get to u go right. That's how I know.

We were stranded due to our work truck being broken down so we just needed a place to go and rest other than the drivers lounge at KW. The hotel is old so don't expect a lot. The staff were friendly however someone needs to teach the housekeeping staff how to properly clean a bathroom. Hairs in the tub. Mildew in the tub. And a leaky shower head made a drip sound. Overall the room rate was okay. Breakfast was ok. The coffee in the lobby was really good tho. Unfortunatly we wont stay again tho.

Of the two star hotels I have stayed at in the past, this one is in the top five. I think this hotel was an exceptional deal and I would stay here again. Iit is an older hotel and it does have a two star rating. If you are looking for something with a higher star rating then pay the money for it. If not, don't complain that you wanted a five star room for a two star price.
