I would give them 20 stars if I could. The entire staff are all very friendly and. Accommodating. The staff will go out of their way to help in any way for your stay to be comfortable. They are The BEST Pet friendly motel/hotel in Springfield! I would most definitely recommend Red Roof to everyone.

A hell hole. Wasn't fit for my dog. Room recked of smoke and was suppose to be non-smoking. Service stunk. Waited almost 1/2 hour for someone to come to office to check us in at 3pm which is check in time. Burn holes in bedspread and carpet. Bathtub was filthy.

I always check the beds for bugs. In the 1st room, no bugs but heroin needles between the mattress and huge hole in wall. Went to office and was treated very respectfully and given a new room. 2nd room perfect!

Its nasty they gave us the key to a room that was not clean after the vistor left. Then tried to debate with me about the room not being prepared. The second room toilet didnt flush. When I went to speak to him the great debate started again. Third room had a hole in the wall with tissue stuffed in it and covered with clear packing tape. And the person at the desk leaves something to be desired. Worst place I've ever stayed in.

Bad area, harrassing "security" (old man w a walky talky), prostitutes asking for clients so they can buy crack, gun shots, but there pet friendly and cheap…

We love red roof inn and the staff it's the best and my dog killer loves it to.

Took great care of me. I have stay here many times. Kumar is excellent at the front desk. Housekeeping staff are helpful and very friendly!

The staff was friendly. The room was clean. For the room rate I am happy with my stay. The toilet leaked and the water took a little bit to warm up. Overall it is an adequate motel.

Red Roof Inn Springfield is a clean, reasonably priced place to stay. I come to town often for live music and always choose Red Roof Inn. I was here 2 nights this time and no complaints.

Non smoking was smoked in. Door had a hole punched in it. Couldnt stand in front of sink due to furniture being squeezed in. Corporate needs to pay attention to their franchised name. Never again!

Super comfy bed. The bathroom has seen better days, and we had towels that were dirty.

Beds suck, half the lights were not working, and when we checked in the staff cleaning other rooms were watching us like we were in the wrong place. One staff member watch us unload everything from our cars from the other building so we only left extra clothes in room while we went to my wife's uncle's wake. Was asked by family to stay in town extra day so we spent more money in better area and much nicer staff and room. This makes 2 different red roof inn's in two years that should not be allowed to stay open. Other one east of kcmo on I70.

Room was filthy! Black mold in the bathroom, flies everywhere in the room, dirty bed spreads, and stickiness everywhere! The security latch was broken, phone didn't work, and a much needed electrical outlet was non functioning. We complained and the lady at the front desk said there was nothing she could do about it. It was a Monday evening with maybe 15 cars total in the parking lot and she wouldn't even switch our room. I'm done with Red Roof Inn… spend your money elsewhere!

Wish there was an option to opt for negative 'stars'. You are better off sleeping in the parking lot in your car… they had no hot water when we arrived. Yet we agreed to stay regardless-believing the promises given that it would be fixed within the hour. Lies. Advertised amenities were NOT provided (amenities as simple as ice and extra blankets) … Everything from no hot water/ANY water from the shower was the case, to a 'power outage' (experienced by the motel only we were told — but witnessed street lights still functioning across the street), no basic tolietries as promised, room key malfunctions and numerous trips to the front desk to demand resolution. No AC/functioning refrigerator and on top of it all, no functioning shower-freezing water would've sufficed, staff banging on the door 3 times overnight… not to mention the reason we woke up was uncomfortable heat and the sweats due to loss of electricity in 92 degree weather around 1am. COCKROACHES, on the pillow and smoke burns on the blankets that we didn't see until they were visible due to the intense heat and sunlight the next day in sunlight. I took pictures of at least two massive cockroaches I witnessed on the blanket and pillow I used the night before the next day coming back with the intent to relax. If I could attach them here I would… the entire stay was atrocious and there was no apology or even a simple regretful sentiment from the manager. Do yourself a favor and do not stay here… Please.

I arrived last night at 11pm. Was told that there was no hot water until midnight. Asked for blankets, employee said he will drop them off in 20 minutes, but never came. Woke up around 5 to sweating because they lost electricity. They slipped a note under the door informing us the hot water was still not working (no mention of the electricity) I was in town to take a test so I needed to shower. I figured I would take a cold shower and deal with the issues later. Well the water in the shower didn't work either. I spoke to management and not once did they apologize but instead said there was nothing they could do. I have sent an email to corporate. When we went back to the room to pack up we also found 2 cockroaches in our bed.

For a two star hotel our stay was great. Our room was clean and the staff were great. Our toilet leaked water every time we flushed it and the sockets were loose by the sink. We let the staff know and they got their Facilities team on it right away. If you are looking for a cheap place to sleep, a good place to go.

'Bottom of the barrel' Only rooms available after long night on road. Sold non smoking room, however room wreaked of smoke with cigarette burns on bedding/carpet. Bathroom fixtures were broken and extra 'amenities' were non-existent. LOCK YOUR DOOR! Do not ask staff for anything after 8PM. Will not stay again if at all possible.

I will never recommend this place to anyone. Around 6pm a lady knocked on our door and when I answered it, she asked me if I knew anyone who sold dope. When I told her no she walked away knocking on all the other room doors. I called the front desk telling him what happened. He asked do you know her. Ummm NO I wouldnt be calling over a stranger banging on my door wanting to buy. I was so upset over this. He came over telling her to leave the grounds. He said she has issue's and that she isn't right in the head. Expressed she isn't someone who stays here. He never called the police. Other wise room was ok and the price is good but very concerned about our safety.

Bad experience. I expected no frills but noting matched their claim on web advertisement. No hair dryer, no coffee maker, no Frig, no microwave. Dirty bed skirts, and black bath tub. The staff was the only good thing I have to say about the stay. Clerk was very helpful when police had to be summoned after another guest backed into our vehicle and fled the scene.

Stayed here for a couple of nights over the weekend. Everything was very clean and we had everything we needed. For the price of a room, you get a lot of quality.

Red roof inn on Singer Ave. Pretty good place. Rooms are pretty clean and all in all its pretty nice. Great price, probably the cheapest hotel in town. Has smoking rooms and allows dogs.

Pretty good. It was a reasonable price for beds. The TV was in pretty bad shape, and there was no fridge or microwave, but I just needed the bed.

Looking great after recent renovations. Comfortable and clean. Style is simple.

Room had new furnishings but was still dirty. Dirt on the walls and light switches. There was an old refridgerator that hummed loudly all night. Burn holes in the bed sheets, a few spiders, and a broken alarm clock. And hi know it can't be controlled but the neighbors were having a party and had their car stereo blasting until 1230.

Clean comfortable rooms, new updated amenities, friendly and helpful staff. Convenient location. No complaints, great stay! Thanks!

Not the greatest of experiences. Toilet not mounted to the floor, 1st room had some type of an insect infestation. Front desk immediately assigned a different room which was free of insects, but the comforter on the bed appeared as if it had been a while since it was in a washing machine. I received an unpleasant 5:30am wake up by someone playing rap in their SUV in the parking lot outside of my room. I personally asked the person to turn their music down but I was either ignored or the person I was speaking to did not understand English. 3 calls later to the front desk finally got the desk clerk to get the person to leave the premises. I have a strong feeling I will be researching other accommodations for my next trip to the Springfield area. This was from my stay on 12//24/2015. I thought I would let my frustration and anger subside before writing a review as to be more factual than sarcastic and angry.

The Red Roof Inn in Springfield Illinois was exactly what we needed. They don't have a continental breakfast, but that suits us fine. I'd rather pay $20 less for a room and go buy waffles of a doughnut somewhere else then be overcharged for frozen eggs and old fruit.

After driving 10 hours I was pleased to see a very clean room, very small but it looked clean. Left to get something to eat only to come back and husband got bit by a bed bug and while packing everything back up we found three more. Went to lobby to get our money back and the guy working acted like it was nothing and said he could give us another room. Yeah like we wanted to give them another chance to bring them home with us. We left, had to drive around looking for another at midnight… NO we were not pleased with this place never again. Sad that this one place has turned us off of all RED ROOF INN's.

The room was very clean and looked as though it had been freshly renovated. And I love Red Roof's pet-friendly policies. The only downside is the lack of in-room coffee.

Place has been cleaned up and remodled it's. Really nice staff here are great close to shop n save so you can just walk over there and get what you need, it's a lot better then a lot of the hotels in Springfield for the price range :) this is the only cheaper hotel I will stay at because there's no bugs (bed bugs, roaches, ext) and its clean.

For the money you can't beat it. Clean room. Bed is fine. Customer service is fantastic.

Horrible horrible experience. I stayed in room 133 abd the carpet was stickey, the blankest were stained, the room smelled like death and it had cockroaches that decided to tag along for the trip and infested my trunk and along with my room back home. I had to bomb my car and the my room at home. There was a group of mexicans get hammered and screaming outside my room aswell. Do not stay at this hotel. It is a risk to yours and your childrens health!

If it was possible to give a half-star I still feel that would be too much. TV is poor condition, the carpets are dirty, the attempt at hardwood flooring is warping badly. The linens have been clean so far… the tub in the bathroom is disgusting and has not been cleaned at all! We also had something shipped to the hotel and they held it for 2 days before telling us they did have it, and this was medication for someone in our group!

It was an okay hotel. Very affordable, clean, cheap, nothing special.

Air conditioner didn't work. Room was filthy, flies everywhere. They gave us a coupon for Applebee's as an apology, but it was only valid at the one here in town. We were just passing through so those were pointless. And no breakfast or semi truck parking (they said they had truck parking, but I don't count the street).

It was the most unpleasant experience I've ever had at a chain hotel. Just don't do it. Play the extra $10-15 to stay somewhere safe and clean. I don't expect a lot from a value hotel, but general cleanliness and clean sheets shouldn't be to much to ask for. The sheets were not clean and felt like they had not been changed. They didn't smell clean and were littered in body hair. I arrived late in the evening (around 1230am) and was very tired so I didn't feel like saying anything until the morning, so I slept on top of the covers. There were 2 beds in the room and both sets of sheets were equally disgusting. I told the front desk member in the morning, but he said there was no manager on site and seemed genuinely disinterested in what I had to say about my stay. I'm in the Army and can sleep (and have slept) in some pretty dire situations, but I'm not willing to sleep in dirty sheets littered another persons body hair. The hair was dark and coarse, some were curly. Makes my skin crawl. Additionally, one of the beds sheets were heavily stained brown or yellow. I don't even want to know what it was. Finally the bathroom/sink floor areas was obviously dirty. Something I'm only mentioning because of the sheet situation. The floor was obviously not swept or mopped for some time.

Carpet is very dirty and there was stain on the pillows and then I found brown mark all over the bed then the other bed has a lot of cigarettes burning it, and it was an non smoking room.

Don't even think about staying in this place. Negligent on security. Not safe. No one pays enough attention to the safety of their guests in the parking lot. Street walkers, hoodlums attack Guests in the parking lot. The security cameras are not being watched. Even if it is CHEAP its not worth it.

I really had good expierences with Red roof in other places. I was hoping to get a cheaper room while in Springfield (I usally stay at the Drury but they are outrageous for one night). After reading these reviews I'm sick. Are they true.

BED BUGS some how the post I did this morning has been taken off? This place has bed bugs real bad, tried two different rooms and got chewed up in both and they hurt! Rooms are filthy, linens are yellowed. Just plain nasty place. Do not stay here.

Great room for the price. We stayed here as we were passing through Springfield. We wanted clean and reasonably-priced room to crash in before hitting the road again David at the front desk was very welcoming and friendly, even at 1am when we arrived. After checking in he called the room to see if it was to our liking. The room was old but was clean. The bathroom appeared to be updated with new flooring and tub/shower. Not many creature comforts but perfect for what we were looking for.

I stayed at this motel on March 14th. NEVER have I seen (or stayed in) a room that was SO DIRTY. The underside of the bedspread had what looked like BROWN PEE-STAINS. There was a film of dust on the lamp shades and along the walls. What looked like FLY POOP on the bathroom exhaust. The pop-corn type ceiling in the bathroom was falling off in my bath water. The paint was half-peeled off the exterior doors and I was just flat afraid to turn on the room heater. Wow. What a night. SLEPT IN MY CLOTHES! The only saving grace of that place is the polite people at the front desk.

Clean nice and cheep. That all what you need if you looking for a place to crash. If you expecting super new room you have to spend a lot more. 46 $ per night. Perfect.
