Terrible service. Made a reservation earlier I the week and drove from Long Island. Once I arrived for check in, the young lady behind the desk said she couldn't find our reservation. We showed her the confirmation email with the confirmation number and she agreed it was all correct but still couldn't find it and said she doesn't know what to do. This kid was the only person working, she claims. No manager to help me further. Had to find another room at a different hotel. Will never go to quality inn again.

Sad to say I had a bad experience from the jump I made a reservation for 2 days after I made the reservation I called to let the hotel know that I wouldn't be checking in until the morning because I was at work the person at the desk told me that that would be fine and they could accommodate me with a late check-out. When I arrived at the hotel I I was informed that my reservation was canceled because I was a no show and they didn't refund my money. I paid with a debit card so who knows when I'll get my refund. I had pay again for the days that I wanted to stay it is 6 in the morning right now and I can't even sleep because I feel like I'm out 300$ for a 2 star motel.

Clean room with all the basics. The rooms were small but fine for a quick overnight stay. The room only had a shower stall, which was fine for my family, but any families with small children may find that challenging. Breakfast was the normal 'hot breakfast' fair; nothing fancy, but it met the need. The staff was friendly.

I thought I would be staying for one night but situation changed and I have been staying for approx two weeks. Brenda at the front desk has been extremely helpful! Looking for a place to live in Elgin I have no idea what are good or bad. Brenda knows her way around Elgin so I was able to ask her about apartment rentals! The breakfast is included and was good.

It was a late check in, but the check in host was quick and efficient. However, our room was very muggy, the carpet felt sticky, the air conditioner was ridiculously loud and the people above us were just as loud. We called the front desk 3 times about the noise level above us that was going on at 1230 am, 1 am 3 am and 7 am. We were told it was a woman with two kids, we said the noise was unacceptable, he said he would talk to them. After the second phone call at 1 am the noise finally died down and my husband and I were able to get some rest until 3 am when the noise occurred again. We tried calling the front desk and no one answered and we walked to the front desk and no one was there. We were never offered a room discount or a room change, we will never stay at a Quality Inn again. Also, the Wi-Fi was terrible, however the hot breakfast was very good in the morning, that is why I didnt give it just one star, otherwise I absolutely hated it. Would not recommend to anyone.

When I arrived the woman at the front counter was super helpful and got me a room by the door because I'm a smoker. When I needed ice, one of the maintenance men really helped me out. 10/10 id stay again.

Housekeeping and Staff were very welcoming… But they have what they call "Mandatory Room Cleaning"… I've been to about 40 different Quality Inn's all over the country and this one is the first to have this. They say they are required to clean your room every 2 days, which means you need to be out in order for them to do so. I work over nights Monday — Friday, so this couldn't have been an even worse inconvenience. The times they are scheduled to clean the room, I am barely getting home from work, just to get up 8 hrs later for another shift. I will likey never stay at another one of their locations, if this becomes some kind of new policy at every one of their hotels.

Good value. The rooms were remodeled not too long ago. They were pretty clean. My room had 2 fridges. The hot food for breakfast was nice. One odd thing, a curved shower rod is great, but the basin doesn't curve so water drips out. The bed was soft and I slept well.

Our hotel coordinator Janice was amazing! She went out of her way to do what she could to make our stay as stress free as possible. She was so friendly and easy to work with, we would gladly work with her again! The same goes for our shuttle driver Victor, who, despite all the traffic, adhered to our wedding day schedule beautifully. He even took two extra trips to pick up the remaining people at our venue. We did have a hard time with the check in process and all the construction that was going on at the same time. We ended up being 45 minutes late to our wedding rehearsal because there were two other groups trying to check in with one person. The card keys were super sensitive and difficult to use. Also, a few members of our block were charged two or three times, and it took a few days to fix. Overall our experience other than that was good. If you can work with Janice, we would recommend them for any wedding group stay!

Room itself was "ok", but got charged 3 times for one night. Last night, it showed 2 charges dated 4/13/18. Then this morning, there was an additional charge dated for today, 4/15/18. When talking to them last night, was told I had to speak to a manager on Monday. Cool, out $170 til I can speak to manager. Girl I spoke to was very unpleasant, and not at all helpful. She said they only charged me once, yet I am clearly seeing multiple charges. My mom was also charged, even though she was told she wasn't going to be. Girl told me she wasn't, but the charge was on her card. I will change my rating if things are quickly and efficiently taken care of tomorrow.

The stay was fine for the price till I see the necr day they charge me 150 for a smoking charge and I dont even smoke and havent for 10 years! Watch out for the cheap price the will get your money else ways.

Great experience. We had to stop here unexpectedly after flying into O'Hare — initially planning to drive home to Wisconsin that night, but there was a bad snowstorm and we pulled off and randomly chose this hotel. The desk staff member Henry was supremely helpful (even though we accidentally booked a room for 2pm on our phone instead of 2am… Oops), and made sure we got a room that night. The room was very clean and comfortable.

Great customer service really good rooms and very good breakfast… also very good prices… all you need for your home away from home.

It's fine. Reasonably clean, reasonably quiet. One front desk person that was always awkward and borderline rude, but everyone else was great. Two caveats though — be careful in the parking lot in winter. I helped a young woman who slipped on the ice and ended up with staples in the back of her head. Even after, they did not put down sand. The other caveat, and this one is silly, they almost never have bacon at breakfast.

Place is a little shabby but homey, came in to dirt on comforter, no T. V. Remote and stain on mirror. These negatives won't get us down though.

Great location for access to Elgin and surrounding areas. Great breakfast including gluten free options with eggs and meat every morning. And nicely affordable!

The hotel appearance was nice. In quiet location.
Unfortunately saw a roach in the bathroom when preparing to shower. When addressing it to the front desk clerk because we saw another one crawling outside the room, she claimed that they were stink bugs. She proceeded to explain that they recently had the place fumigated. The result was the bugs coming out of air conditions and etc etc. I've seen stink bugs and the bugs I saw was not stink. Even my husband tried to explain the fact. We didn't stay another night and I would up checking my bags prior to leaving. Food was ok didn't enjoy food as much due to bugs.

Highly recommended. Got a really good deal and the room is very nice. Especially nice since I have my two dogs with me. You would never know I have a pet room.

Clean and quiet. Slow response from front desk. Free breakfast was adequate; nothing special.

Rooms are nice with TV, fridge, & microwave. Free breakfast is basic and pretty good. Eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles & more. Price is reasonable for what you get. Parking is more than adequate.

Great place to stay if you have pets. Nicely appointed, comfortable rooms for pet owners, rather than the down-graded, tiled-floor prison cell-like rooms of other chain's "pet-friendly" rooms.

Nice staff. Refrigerator, lcd tv, microwave, modern. This place is a fair price. Free breakfast! Eggs muffins bagels coffee bacon.

Decent hotel for an overnight stay. I would give it a higher rating except I was kept awake by a constant alarm going off outside the building during the night and I noticed cigarette burn marks on the chair's foot rest. Also the elevator needs some cosmetic work.

Decent place to sleep. I liked having micro and mini fridge in room. No closet space or much drawer space tho. Breakfast was fine, eggs, ham (lunch meat), potatoes, make it yourself waffles, bread and English muffins for toasting, apples and oranges, milk, yogurt. Issues we encountered were a squeaky and hard to close bathroom door, the public computer had to be rebooted to connect to internet and the Coke machine wouldn't take money. I got a good rate, so overall it was good and I'd likely stay again if in the area.

Hotel itself was nice with a hot breakfast, but room was kind of musty smelling.

Front desk people never smile and don't seem to be very customer service oriented;; in addition, closed caption TV, doesn't work, even though remote shows it has the capability; when front desk is asked about it, they have no clue; Peoples review say"" great Hotel 4 star service or so? please, means those people have no clue;; Hampton Inn accros the street, they always greed you nicely and the Hotel has a small pool as well; One thing that caught my attention with quality inn is that, when they give u the key and write down the number, that should be kept silent, but twice, the same guy at front desk, called it " ur room is … " isnt that something? do they know they are not supposed to say it, specially when guests are behind you?

This was a great stay! Super easy check in and great breakfast. We definitely got a great nights sleep!

When I walked in it clean and smell good. Customer service was good. Oh the rooms is clean. The cleaning service was good they are nice. Ask you if you need anything just let them know. This was mine first time on vacation in 7 years and I enjoyed myself. And yes I definitely be going back.

It was nice and clean I liked the housekeeper. And the lobby attendants are nice. And the breakfast was great and hearty.

Beds were a little hard, and there was no pool. However, the staff was friendly and efficient. Would consider staying there again.

Location is in a centralized place ING Elgin easily reaching key spots in town. Clean room and very friendly staff.

It's an average basic hotel room with showers only, but also has a mini fridge and microwave. The people who work there are very friendly and were very accommodating. Only complaint was the beds weren't very comfortable as well as the pillows, but they were very clean. Worth the price for sure!

The hotel was fine for the night I was there. Nothing special about it, and it didn't have a particularly nice feel, but it wasn't horrible either.

The room was really clean and cozy. The night manager was a great person and breakfast was awesome. Definitely will go again.

We stayed 3 nights. Very nice rooms on 3rd floor. Staff was great. Extended check out was no problem. Breakfast was good.

The Elgin, Illinois Quality Inn was great. Check in was easy and the counter person (didn't get his name) was helpful and very nice. Room was really good and didn't smell at all, and the hallway didn't smell like cigarette smoke even though there were smoking rooms. Lots of people with pets, but I didn't hear anything in the building (good to know I can bring my 2 small dogs if I need to). Barb, at the front counter was very helpful and pleasant (had a problem with the door key and she fixed it) and was very nice at check-out. We asked for an extra blanket, and Barb made sure it happened! Thanks Barb! We come to the Elgin area a lot, and will be staying at this Quality Inn. The whole experience was outstanding! Thank You.
