Extremely unclean, terrible service… serious fraud issues. Health department should definitely pay them a visit…

This was this past Saturday night. 1st 2 pictures show before & 3rd picture shows a bit of blood still after they “cleaned it”.
Worst hotel ever! Checked in at about 10pm. I go to shower & when I come out my friend tells me that there is blood on the light switch & wall. We call the front desk around 11pm & they say “can it wait till tomorrow” we said “no its blood, what if this person had some kind of disease” so they send someone to clean it with a tissue with nothing to actually disinfect it. After that there was still a bit of blood left over. We asked to get a room change & rudely they raised their voices & said no & that we probably put lipstick on the wall. My friend got upset & raised her voice too & said “i paid money for this room. You wouldn’t want your kids sleeping there so I either want a room change or my money back. ” The lady then got very upset & kept raising her voice at us. My friend then went to wait for me outside. The lady kept raising her voice at me when I had been calm the whole entire time. She said that she would change my room this one time but after this we were both not allowed in this hotel ever again and that I probably shaved when I showered & put the blood on there myself. I have been coming here for 6 years & never had a problem till today! We are both very upset. They gave us so much attitude & raised their voice at us like we were nobodies.

Dirty everything. Rooms lacked a microwave. Shoddy repairs. Room is missing light bulbs. TV reception is all snowy from poor cables or connectors somewhere in the system. Breakfast was a joke. Had bugs in my juice because the room it is served is is poorly kept.

Better then expected. I was very impressed with how clean it was and the staff were amazingly friendly it’s so welcoming.

Very clean hotel. Not to mention my service at the front desk was awesome. The pretty lady was very polite, and kind, and courteous.

We got a deluxe suite, and the rooms were decent, the tub was great, and the staff were friendly! The jacuzzi suite rooms could use dehumidifiers or non-carpeted floors, and the bedding could be a little nicer, but overall not a bad value!

Great services for the price and it's right near the highway and swaes center arena. Amazing location. Staff was friendly.

Clean well maintained motel. Pool not heated. Continental breakfast lacking. Ppl working counter, some are ok to deal with couple are not easy. Had to ask one to fix stuff in Continental and she went into lazy or stupid mode. It's your average no frills motel run by folks from overseas.

Near ISRt 90, ⛽ stations, shopping, Trout Park, forrest preserves, restaurants and a short trip to Elgin's Famous Grand Victoria Casino.

In March of 2018 I lost my place because of a shady landlord. I came to the lexington Inn for a weekly rate that was extremely reasonable for the area. Not knowing how long I was going to have to stay the owners were very nice and very willing to accomodate me and my son. The staff is extremely nice and after being here for 2 months I almost feel like they are "family". I read through these reviews and I just want to comment on a couple. First of all, this is a budget hotel. It's not the ritz and it is an older building. Not everything is perfect but it is liveable. I hve never seen a bug in my room, everything worked fine. We did have an issue with the shower nob, but maintenance came in immediately and fixed it. As far as late night activity, it must have been a week end and with the milk pail down the road people tend to book here for the convenience of location and maybe a few had a little too much to drink and were perhaps a little loud, but since being here I have NEVER had anything to complain about. There was one instance and police were called and matter was taken care of immeditey. I feel safe here and would recommend this hotel to anyone who is on a budget. Location is amazing although restauraunts are a little far but there are a lot of delivery places available. I would definately recommend this place. Thank you to all the staff and the owners as they are amazing.

Great service, very nice rooms.

Met the owners, great people. Has pool, newer furniture and tv's, bathrooms are currently being updated throughout. Overall, well worth the stay.

Not the cleanest of hotels and a lot of wierd late night activity.

Their computer system shut down and took payment 2 weeks later! also room was disgusting, Jacuzzi jets had dirt flying out of them. Filthy smelled horrible!

If I could leave negative stars I would. First I would like to say that if u have a set price and tell me it's one thing don't swipe my card and chargethe price to something completely different. Second I walk into the room and it's decent, walk into the bathroom to take a shower and the bathroom stinks. There was a used condom in the shower! How disgusting! I call front desk and advice that they need to clean the bathroom and they say room service will be up in 2 min. 15 min passes and a man that does not look like they clean comes in with a tissue picks up the condom and throws it on the trash and leaves. I was in disbelief that they did not even have the common decency to give use another room or the just clean the bathroom to what it should be. Not even Clorox wipes NOTHING. I was soo disgusted I did not even shower. Oh and the towels are dirty and have food all over them. What kind of service is that. Do not waste your money and time plz.

Dirty… Smelly. Saw Drug Deals going on around corner of building.

The last time I made my reservation at that place I wasn't told what time I was going to go out they gave me another different time and they came in angrily taking me out of the room and they don't have bilingual staff.

Big things : The room was small. The bathroom was not well cared for. The bedsheets and bed skirt were dirty. The thermostat on the wall was grimy and didn't actually change the temperature of the room, the one that did was on the wall mounted unit under the window. The pool was out of service and no notice was posted on the website disclosing that information. Small things : The pipes for the bathroom sink were exposed. The water pressure in the bathroom sink was very weak (I don't know about the shower, I didn't have the courage to check it out). There was not adequate coffee supplies for the two people staying in the room.

Very nice place for the cheap price. I would recommend and definitely stay again.

Checked in to the staff asking for $20 more a day because of quest was one. My itinerary clearly showed one room two guests. Then thought I would be happy with an extra $15. Halls and breakfast area have no heat. Complimenty water only cost a $1. Indoor pool has not been useable for the two times we have been in the area. Some of the Housekeeping staff did not know enough English to be of service to any guests that did not speak there language. I'm 64 years old have always ginen praise with exceptional service, and have just said zero if I couldn't be nice. I'm glad this is available. People who don't like what their doing do a bad job. So when the fridge went out on day 2? Well it takes a lot to make a lit match into a Forrest.

Negatives: TV in our room didn't work. Beds were very loud. The pool room has a very slippery tile floor which is a terrible idea. Positives: It looks nice, and has a nice feel to it. Free Wi-Fi. The breakfast provided isn't anything crazy but hey, free breakfast.

Room was adequate. Staff was friendly. Halls smelt strongly like marijuana. Free breakfast was a nice touch but not great quality and coffee was cold. 3/5

0/10 STARS. Do not recommend. The room was 85 degrees on the hottest day of September but they insisted the A/C was working. 3 people were booked but they provided only 2 towels. So we had to use pool towels the next day. Not cute. They had no more towels when we asked for more. The advertised hot tub was shut down. There was bread and water for breakfast so you're kind of in prison. If all you need is sleeping then you're good to go.

Horrible, dirty, smelly with limited ammenities and appliances in disrepair. Highly disatisfied.

I've been to my fair share of hotels and this was by far the absolute worst. There was a bad smell as soon as we walked in that just lingered throughout the whole building and eventually into the room. My boyfriend walked in and took a seat on the bed and right away said it smelled like cigarettes as the whole room did. We then decided to check the bed sheets and found hair despite the fact we had JUST walked in. The website says they have an indoor pool and hot tub but there is no hot tub. We went to the pool twice and the first time we had asked for more towels because there were only 2 in the room and we used them for the pool, we were given 1 and told more would be sent to our room-they weren't. We went back to our room to take a break and found a spider in the bathroom so we decided to go back to the pool which was supposed to close at 10 (we went at 9) and they told us to wait 20 minutes because they were putting chemicals which is extremely inconsiderate to guests given they decided to do this during the last hour the pool was open instead of waiting. We left the pool and went back to the room to see if any towels were brought and when I tried to call the front desk the phone in the room did not even work and we didn't get any towels for the rest of the night. Extremely ridiculous I have received better service in a motel. Would not stay here again if it was my last option.

Our room was more spacious than expected… had a couch and high ceilings, but it was not cleaned or maintained well. Under different management it could be really nice.

The breakfast here had little options to choice from aand their coffee was horrible along with the powdered creamer. The room had a balloon in it either room service is really short or just plane lazy. All in all it was not what we paid for.

People at front desk were rude, Covers and sheets were dirty with stains on them. A/C was not working, refrigerator was broken, room had odor and on top of that, I requested a late check out the night BEFORE and at 11 in the morning I get a loud banging on my door and it was the guy at the front desk THAT I TOLD I was having a late check out before. He said I didn't say anything like that and rushed me and my guest to leave within 5 mins or we will be charged extra. I slammed the door in his face and packed my bags and got the hell out of there. Worst hotel/motel experience I ever had. I see why the price was SO cheap. I wouldn't recommend this to ANYONE. The Super 8 would've been better than this probably!

Horrible horrible horrible hotel can't believe I spent my money here and booked it on your website. First they gave me a room that was already occupied and I walked in on someone. Second the air conditioning was so loud you couldn't sleep. Third there was no remote what so ever for the TV. Fourth the coffee pot never worked in the room. I was never so happy to leave.

It seems like a family oriented place. After having issues checking in the front desk was great and very helpful. The staff and the rooms interior and decor were about the only great things in this place. For 160 a night and an hour outside the city I was truly expecting a decent experience. What I experienced instead was: young adults running around and being extremely loud at all hours of the day and night. They would crowd around the hallways and right outside the doors making it very uncomfortable to get in and out. They were very rude and innapropriate. The breakfast area was decent expect the broken microwave, which was unfortunate as there is none in the rooms. The poor fridges never worked and I lost a lot of money and the food I had brought that melted in the fridge. There is no freezer compartment in the fridge either. The rooms were clean but the comforters were sadly all stained so I suggest to always bring your own sheets and pillows. The jacusi in room tub was a great bonus but the floors smelled like mold and must. When I got home and looked through our clothes they all smelled like the floors so now ill have to wash everything to get the smell out. I noticed the cleaning staff had enetered our room without permission while we were gone in the city all day which just freaked us all out and we spend hours looking through our stuff to make sure nothing was touched or stolen.

“Very pleased! ” Room was clean. Nice hotel, convenient location, great staff. The breakfast was just right. All in all, a great experience, comfortable beds, Don't know what else to say; this pretty well sums it up!

At the beginning of our stay the manager was unable to print our paperwork, he sent us to our room and said he would be down in a few minutes to bring it to us. The manager never brought down the paperwork to us. We had to go down to the front desk and ask for the paperwork. After that we noticed the hallway was freezing due to one of the side doors which is supposed to be a secured door was broken. This was a card access door and no card was needed to enter the building. The outside and inside of the building appeared very run down. The inside of our room was very nice. One of the reasons we picked the hotel was because of the pool/hot tub. When we went to go swimming the pool had a sign which stated the pool was closed. Prior to this there was nothing on the website stating the pool was closed. After making a comment to staff about the pool being closed there was then a note on the Hotel's website. There were stains on the couch in our room and the couch smelled of mildew. Cleaning staff was notified that our room did not need to be cleaned. We gave staff the room number and they verbalized understanding that our room did not need to be cleaned. After coming back to the room from the day it was obvious that cleaning staff had been in our room. The garbage was emptied, new towels were left, and the bed was completely made. The continental breakfast was not up to standards.

At check in we interrupted the hotel attendant while she was on her cell phone. After she acknowledged we existed we checked in no problems. We are on our way to find our room walking down dark gloomy gross areas to eventually our hallway and are hit with a wall of strong disgusting cigarette smoke. We chose thus hotel as its supposed to be completely smoke free as my wife has asthma and cannot handle smoke. We go into our room and the smoke subsides so we said oh well and continued to unpack etc. The bed comforter was littered with stains and was absolutely disgusting. 20 minutes later a clean up lady comes right into our room. No knocking no vocal attempt to see if anyone is in there as my wife is getting changed. We get ready to go to dinner after spending no more than 30 minutes at this place and smoke is now entering our room. We finally lose our patience with this place and go down to the lobby and request a refund. The hotel attendant Says we cannot give a refund because they have a 15 minute refund policy. I have never been so disappointed disatisfied at a hotel in my life. I don't see this place being in business much longer with these standards and customer service.

This hotel I do not recommend this super bad rooms, dirty Beds, the TV does not serve the Climate either and it stinks…

This was the WORST experience we have ever had at a hotel, and I would not call this a hotel or Inn, it is nothing more than a run down cheap motel. If you ever wonder why no picture of the outside of this place, I can tell you it is absolutely horrid. The staff was sooooooooooo rude, the hotel and rooms smelled badly. We ended up not even staying and when we explained why the rudeness got worse to the point of the man behind the desk screaming at us as the manager just stood there. Do not waste or time or $$ here.

No rolling luggage carts, no microwave in rooms. Clean enough room, friendly and helpful staff. Feels like an upgraded Motel 6. No complaints other than why no luggage carts? = HUGE inconvenience for me. And, no coffee or juice available round the clock like most other hotels.

This hotel was very poorly taken care of. It was not clean, and the service was horrible. We found hair in the bed and tub and the couch looked far from clean. The A. C. Didn't work and they couldn't get a key card to work for us at the front desk. The area for breakfast was dirty and barely stocked. Also, the door to the outside on the side of the hotel didn't even lock which is not safe. The pictures of our room were exactly what we got and the amenities were nice, but they were not taken care of at all and because of that were dirty and untrustworthy. Would NOT recommend anyone to stay here.

The front desk Mario was awesome and the motel was not bad for the cheap price but the tall guy harassed me the first night there. I hear a LOUD knock so I answer and a tall guy is standing there telling me I have been smoking shinning his light all on my stuff. I explain to him my brother just left here and lite a cigarette up on his way out so I can understand a light smell but I don't smoke. He gets rudder and starts threatening me (I thought he was on drugs) so I close the door. He comes back with three other employees and I gave the same story to them and explained buddies attitude they agreed with me and left. (so buddy you look stupid there) 1, if I was smoking in a room there would be a strong smell and with the door wide open smoke would be floating around and obviously I wasn't smoking but his goal was to get me put out. I believe he is prejudice when my white and Mexican family visited it was fine as soon as my black cousin comes by he is knocking 15 minutes later. When I come back to town I will spend an extra $15 to go down the street because he reminds me of a rapist very weird guy.

NASTY NASTY! Stains on the furniture, mold or? in the old mini bar/ ref. Smelled bad So bad I took pics and mailed them to corporate, they offered me 15% off my next stay NEVER! This place used to be a drug and hooker motel, they say they cleaned it up, lipstick on a pig comes to mind.

I normally do not write reviews. I am not a picky person. I often give companies the benefit of the doubt, but this place services are horrible! I just had to say something.

This is a cheap hotel that is probably an old Days Inn (which I hate). They have upgraded the bedding, furniture and pillows. You can tell they are trying, but still has the Days Inn feel. Excellent value for the money and the staff checked me in and out very quickly. Free breakfast, but very minimal. Soap and shampoo are still provided from dispensers. I would stay there again.
