There staff is rude 7 foot ball bonsers dragged my kids and friend to hall way and beat my son Inlaw to blood no one could hear or see them kept there phones because my daughter filmed it an police officers who are most likely paid from them wouldn’t take a statement if you value your family’s lives I would not suggest that place to anyone they bear hugged my daughter had there hands over mouth and nose she could not even breathe they don’t need 7 foot ball size bounsers for a 160 pound guy and 100 pound young girl but felt the need to do so that is a horrible place horrible staff they need to be closed down an I’m going to do everything I can to make it happen.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was very nice. They have to very nice restaurants.

Had a great time for my 43rd birthday at the Godfrey. The deluxe king size room was perfect for my wife and I. Great amenities. The rooftop bar has a great drink and dinner selection and great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Spacious room. I stayed on 15F. It has a beautiful view at night. The Bathroom is big and nice. Beds are comfortable. Love the minimal but chic interiors. Great location. 2 blocks away from 24 hr walgreens & mcdonald’s.
Fitness center is very small because it is a boutique hotel. I didn’t work out there. I had a great stay overall.

Absolute worst night sleep at a hotel ever. Mattress was a joke, it was completely sunken in and we felt every spring. Asked for a new room, same thing different floor. Nice rooftop bar, great area. Clean.

Every since we checkin on Monday to celebrate our first year anniversary we were treated like garbage. We were suppose to be having dinner at the hotel and they said we lied about our reservations even though we were showing proof, we were denied. Horrible service, I wonder why? Is it the fact that we are an interracial couple. I will say yes. We wasted over money and time to have a special moment for is to celebrate and it was ruined by ignorance.

Bed bugs that’s why I don’t recommend this hotel! Read the other reviews! It’s an on going issue and they still don’t know how to act and take care of there clients! Receptionist made me go back to my room and pack my stuff to be washed. And ignored that it even happened days later! This hotel needs to hold accountability for spreading such filth. So to anyone that stayed in this hotel, check you bed! Bed bugs night climbed on your suitcase!

Poor customer service. The elevator to the parking garage did not work where, I had to walk through a smelly garbage or loading area I don’t know what is was, I just wanted to get out of there. Then walk up the stairs with all my luggage. The service people did not care or offer assistance. I had to ask what was going on. Every person I encounter was not friendly and sometimes rude. No communication about the services that where available at the hotel like the spa until check out where they required me to pay for the services of the spa that I did not even use! Not worth it. There are better hotels around.

This hotel does not cater to its guests. The valet does not park trucks for starters. So people who own trucks are supposed to magically get this memo. They don’t try to accommodate you. The food and drinks are seriously lacking. Try Hilton for your stays.

Amazing view, great staff!

The hotel itself is very nice. Room service menu is pretty lame. The restaurant is only available when they aren't having an event. The Valet leaves a lot to be desired and were difficult to find when they were needed. Cars were piling up in front of the hotel and Valet was no where to be found.

This place ruin my friends 50th Birthday celebration. They didn’t allow her guests to go to the rooftop. The entire staff was unprofessional and racist. We were treated poorly. I will never go back to this place. Never!

Slept absolutely horribly last night. Hotel is nice but unfortunately my room was right next to the elevator engine so every 15 seconds I could hear a loud grinding. I slept for maybe 2 hours total. Thankfully they will switch my room but today will be hell adjusting to the time zone and from lack of. Give me strength.

Its a nice hotel when you just glance at it. However super over priced due to the fact that part of the floor in my room is soaking wet and smells of mildew. Only 2 elevators for the entire hotel almost guarantees you will be waiting a long time and then once you get in the elevator it stops at almost every floor on the way up and down. Also if you order food you have to go down and meet the delivery person in the lobby. For $300 per night they should have an employee bring it up or escort them to your room. Gym is decent.

Friendly reception at every turn, professional staff, everyone willing to go the extra mile even one guy who ran 2 blocks in 98 degree heat to get us a cab. CLEAN! Perfect location right next to award winning restaurants and main shopping areas. Amazing room service and guest reception. They made sure our stay was perfect. We booked the next night because we decided not to chance a different hotel; this was so perfect!

Great hotel, location. The room we stayed in was nice and spacious, only negative was the lack of a microwave. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has an awesome bar restaurant with absolutely spectacular views of the city. There is no pool here.

Nice hotel very clean… the service we received was horrible from request to our room to the roof top. We waited at least an hour to get wine glasses to our room. We then went to the roof top which we were there for about 3 hours 2 drinks a piece. Our waitress was never around to see that we needed more drinks or even apologetic about anything. As I noticed her apologize to the table next to us and give them drinks on the house. I will never stay here again or recommend this place to anyone just because of the people they hire:/

We had such a great time at The Godfrey. Once they found out we were on our honeymoon they very kindly upgraded us to an excellent room with an incredible view. They also sent us up a few treats and really made us feel welcome. It has a great bar up the top and is located perfectly for exploring Chicago. When I visit Chicago next I will stay here again.

The front desk staff was great. We arrived early and the gentleman at the front offered me upgrade options to check in early. He was polite and really worked with me. The place is in an excellent location and the housekeeping staff is excellent. Came back after a long day to a clean room and a made bed. With the location close to everything and the great staff I would recommend the Godfrey and will definitely come back.

I have never ever been one to write a review about an experience at a hotel but this can't go left unspoken. This started off with me paying for a king size room and not getting the room I paid for nor offered to upgrade. We got a sensitive noise complaint and my girlfriend was asked to leave at 2 AM stating she was not welcome and was not included in the room (I paid for 2 people)! We also drank the beverages provided and the staff came in to replace what was consumed and did NOT change the sheets, or provide us with new towels throughout our entire three days visiting. This service should NOT be asked for. Lastly, as a paying guest, I asked one of the workers for an umbrella after seeing people being provided with them at the front desk as it had started to rain quite hard and the older male worker replied to me after a very lost look and said he had just given out the last two… my friend (who is NOT a paying guest), who had come over to meet me before we headed out for the night said that shouldn't be a thing and went in literally 30-seconds after and requested an umbrella and was quickly provided with one! I have NEVER been so infuriated at a businesses lack of professional customer service in my life! This was my first time in Chicago and all the love to the city but I would never in a million years recommend this hotel to anyone!

This is a Lovely Hotel with nice rooms. The room we had was quite large with a sitting area having a couch. It was very well appointed and enjoyable. We got a very good discount by using Priceline and we're amazed at how nice it was for the price we paid. The most important part about a hotel room, for me, is the comfortableness of the bed. This room had a lovely king size bed that was extremely comfortable for both myself and husband. I would stay here again it is a really nice hotel in a great location.

Great room. Nice value for a holiday weekend. High end bath products. Nicely appointed. Small non creative room service menu. Rooms not well sound proofed from hall. Every knock or door/open sounds like it's in your room. Small "minibar" lacking variety but well priced considering. There is a popular night club on the 4th floor which creates a busy atmosphere in the lobby & elevators.

Wow, wow, wow! I loved their rainbow sangria and the cool vibe atmosphere while sitting on rooftop bar. Rooms are very nice and staff gave no errors. I would totally stay here again. Only thing better would've been a lakeside view!

I booked the Godfrey Hotel using a partner app for a stay last night. Upon checking in they told me they needed to send me to another hotel which was a huge inconvenience and did not have as good reviews. I decided to call the partner app to get this figured out. When I was on the phone with the company, they allowed 4 people to check in. When I asked about this, their response was: "They booked directly through the hotel and not the partner app, they have priority. " Tommy at the front desk was arrogant, rude, and smug. He was no help and treated me like a second-class citizen. I understand overbookings happen, but punishing me for using a partner app is wrong and even more importantly, Tommy should have done more to treat me with respect. When asking for the GM's number, he gave me a generic hotel business card. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great hotel and service. Our room had a small fridge. View out our window overlooked the 4th floor rooftop bar. Chef was expecting 600 people for Easter brunch. Bathroom storage/sink area is very small but other than that the room is highly functional. We used spot hero app to park our car nearby at half the cost. Location has plenty of good dining and bar options. Not so much shopping. Big bus stop is a block away. Great experience, well definitely go back.

The room was nice but, no real amenities offered in the hotel (swimming pool, hot tub, gym, etc. ). For it being a hotel located downtown which, isn't cool considering the price you pay for the room.

The furnishings are nice and the bed was super comfortable… but there was a wine glass near the coffee maker in our room where housekeeping killed a tick in a piece of tissue paper and left it! My husband went to grab a glass and to our horror discovered the tick in tissue paper inside the glass. It makes me wonder what else they forgot to clean.

Decent gym, decent spa, very modern and nice terrace that plays good mix of music & serves food but strangely have no spoons. Some of front desk staff and some waitresses are pretentious. The bar handlers and the maintenance staff are generally nice. Rooms appear modern and cozy but the features such as the lighting are on the wall not the bed lamp so you have to reach or get up to turn them on or off. Also, the light bulbs do not work for all appliances. My room was extremely cold. I put several requests at the front desk for engineering to adjust it but nothing changed and I received no note confirming the system was checked. It seemed mainly that the front desk was more concerned about getting you in the room than making sure you were comfortable in it. Parking is expensive. But that is the case in most big cities. Fortunately, it is attached to the hotel building. Additionally, my room was next to a staircase and a construction site. So every day I was arisen by the cacophony of doors and drills. Lastly, my sheets had red and black stains in them. I did not notice until I woke up the next morning. The stains were adjacent to my sleeping area on the bed. I wanted to complain but I said maybe I'll get better ones the next day. Perhaps your experience would be more enjoyable if you get a room higher up in the building removed from the terrace or not sharing a wall with the construction site or exit wells.

I stayed at the Godfrey while making a quick visit in Chicago for my birthday. The front desk attendants Alex and Tyler were very accommodating and welcoming. The front desk also left champagne in my room for the occasion, which was very sweet! The room was clean (coming from a very strict former housekeeping manager) and well appointed. Beautiful view, and we were very comfortable. I would definitely visit the Godfrey Hotel again.

I love this place. I didn't stay in the rooms so I can't say anything about that. However, the lounge / restaurant with the open balcony is the coolest spot. The staff was nice and professional. The prices are reasonable for the location and I loved the background music. Will definitely revisit.

The IO is a tremendous place in the city of Chicago. I would recommend it to everyone who are close to the hotel.

I personally loved this hotel. Except the loud noises you hear all night. Otherwise the room I stayed in was very nice, and clean. Great view from the large windows, bed was extremely comfortable, had tons of soft pillow and the bed was HUGE. Hotel smelled clean, looks clean, is clean! The bathrooms are super clean as well, and very nice. I would definitely go again, and I definitely recommend it to others.

The parking is a little strange and very expensive but I guess that’s normal for a big city like Chicago. The room was very clean and nice and we ordered room service from the Italian restaurant that they have on the lobby floor, and it was delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone!

We stayed here for a long weekend for my better half's birthday & we absolutely loved it! The hotel staff were so accommodating & thoughtful! When I made the reservation I mentioned that I was surprising him for his bday & they provided us with early check in, complimentary champagne, & and a late as possible checkout for a very small fee. The lounge was also amazing! Lastly, the location was perfect! We can't wait to visit again!

The hotel itself is okay. However, it seems like they're new at hosting New Year's Eve parties. Everybody is stuffed in a very small space and there are only cash bars with expensive drinks. They advertised a champagne toast at midnight, but that absolutely did not happen. They're also very quick to charge rooms with fees so be careful to make sure that you leave the room spotless.

Very convenient location. There is a Brazilian all you can eat steakhouse just around the corner. Lots of self parking near the hotel, which can park overnight with better deal if u book from spot hero using coupons. Hotel is close to whole food. Rooms are clean and modern. Very good price and quality.

Really great hotel. Perfect location for getting around to conferences, restaurants and shopping. Close to Michigan, but not actually in all of the touristy crowd and traffic. Highly recommended. Was traveling with children and while this is a more upscale hotel, not aimed at families, staff did a great job at accommodating my kids.

Would have 5 stars but the cleaning staff made a lot of noise when walking around the floors. Maybe the walls are just too thin, but whistling a tune at like 8AM was kind of annoying. Other than that the room was very clean, the in-house restaurant was delicious, and overall the experience was great for the price. Will definitely look to stay here again next time I'm in Chicago.

Spectacular hotel with great amenities and restaurants. Check-in and check-out were lightning fast. Check-out time is noon rather than 11:00 a. M. Meaning an extra hour in comfortable bed. Free falling rain showerhead open new ways to enjoy morning.

Amazing restaurant and service staff as well as management. Rooms are modern with mini fridge and wet bar. Only downfall was you can hear the water running from other rooms and flushing of toilets which echoes through the bathroom all night long. Location is great. No pool or hair salon. Great room service. Checkout is 12 pm could not accomodate for late checkout.

Great lobby area. Elevators were nice. Hotel rooms seemed neat and tidy. I was attending my friends' wedding and briefly visited their suite. They were gifted strawberries and champagne by the hotel. Very thoughtful and sweet!

Great presentation aesthetically but very poor delivery. Windows and doors allow patrons to hear everything. We had the opportunity to witness our floor hosting a party in a few rooms next door and heard it as though we were there. To say the staff responded appropriately to our complaint would be a gross understatement. Staff seemed rather put off by this and other reasonable requests such as an umbrella to borrow in the rain. Don’t judge a book by its cover, this place looks great but just another wannabe glamour hotel built on quick sand.

This hotel is in a fantastic location, well-appointed, and just all around gorgeous. Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Loved the beautiful bathroom with HUGE shower. Each staff member we encountered was friendly. I would stay here again in the heartbeat.

Highly recommend the beautiful Godfrey Chicago! Excellent location, cool & fun rooftop bar. Dolce' dinner was wonderful and all the staff was friendly. The room was clean, the beds are comfortable. We did not receive the room reserved/listed online which is the reason for the 4 stars. However, in the end the GM took care of the situation to our satisfaction and we will return on our next trip to the city.

Work Trip, this hotel was very nice. A welcome upgrade over the Felix next door. Large rooms, helpful staff, text concierge, and password less Wi-Fi. All good. Really nice bar and meeting rooms with a view!

Actually a very nice hotel, but for a 4 * hotel just not good enough. At the baggage unload, no one came to help, even the suitcase car we had to fetch ourselves. At check-in it was spoken very quickly and quietly, on the request to make it louder and slower for the first time nothing happened! Then it worked. At 8:20h kloppft The housekeeping and wants to clean. A do-not-disdurb-sign was only available on demand! In the room a hole in bed, various handles not firm. Otherwise it is chic and clean, well located, the rooms on the street are very noisy. But you can still open a window!

I did not stay in the hotel, I was here at the I\O rooftop bar and restaurant. It was a nice place, classy but not pretentious. The service was excellent. It would be a great place for a celebration or a special date with the one you love. I look forward to going back.

Location was excellent. We asked to be checked in early and were given a room above the rooftop bar — you could definitely hear the bar from the room but it wasn't really loud. The beds are very soft, the shower was very spacious. Only one complaint — we almost ran out of toilet paper on our last day, and there was no replacement roll in the room. Otherwise an excellent hotel experience!

Visited the rooftop lounge on Saturday and had a great time. Impressive city views, entertaining crowd. Club vibe. People are dressed to impress. The wait to get in on a Saturday night can be long if you're not on a list or don't know someone at the door. Best to go with a small (ish) group.

Really nice rooms, and the staff was super friendly. The only weird thing was the lights. They have nice wall switches next to the bed for the lamps and overhead lights. Apparently they don't work for the lamps and they're moving to these weird buttons inside the lampshades. Much less convenient, and there was no indication how to turn on the lights. It was only after we called the front desk and they sent someone up were we told about how to turn on the lamps…

Very comfortable and tasteful Hotel.

The entrance of the hotel was beautiful and the rooms were nice. The only issue was that our party had ordered a king suite and had received a queen normal room. They were all out of kings so we ended up having to settle for 2 queens. The 4th floor bar was amazing. Would be 5 stars if not for the room mishap.

Good service, somewhat loud. Definitely a young, hip vibe! The room itself is nice, very modern with lots of mirrors and glass. Comfy bed. Less amenities than some hotels of this price (pool, wine hour, coffee bar — no stuff like this), and the rooms were probably a 3/5 in terms of cleanliness.

The IO cityscape which is their roof top is a great area to have a quick bite and enjoy the nice atmosphere during the day or night, and it's just a great spot to host an event. Also the customer service was great and the hotels other restaurant is nice to.

This Hotel is just incredibly fabulous! I am so glad I have chosen this one for our stay, it is absolutely amazing in everything! Super clean and comfortable rooms, really great beds to sleep in (and you might know about my back issues), great spot or him the reach of all locations and a fantastic bar and rooftop! Simply a joy to spend the rest of an evening at the rooftop bar with a great cocktail!

Very nice hotel bar with great ambiance and seating. Upstairs the lounge I O has a great rooftop experience with multiple bars lots of space and plenty sections. It seems to be pretty popular. I enjoyed my visit to both and will return again.

I love this hotel. The room and amenities are modern and contemporary. The bed and furniture are comfortable, and there is really no reason to leave the hotel with 2 restaurants. I will be coming back.

I'm a hairstylist and I did hair for a bride that was getting married at the godfrey. Everything went great, the staff was accommodating and helpful. Beautiful hotel.

Location was centralized for tourists, rooms were very well maintained and comfortable and the service was top notch. The bed in specific was very comfortable. Check in/out were very easy too. Room did not have tub, which would have been incredible after a freezing weekend in the city. Otherwise it was a great experience. Would stay again and reccomend to friends.

Horrible experience! Just stayed 3 nights here 3/1/16 — 3/4/16. It's was the biggest pain in the butt. Booked a park and stay package and called to confirm the parking a week prior to our arrival. Upon arrival the valet wasn't unable to communicate well and had no idea what a park and stay package was. Then the front desk told us we didn't book a park and stay package but they would happily adjust it for us. Okay great. No big deal then. Checked out this morning and the bill was double the price of what we had originally booked the room for. We were charged for 5 nights of valet and the room itself was more. When we asked the front desk why the price was so different they explained that the price on our conformation was just a round about price. After much aggravation all they were willing to do for us was take off the two extra nights they had accidentally charged us for valet. Horrible customer service. Complete scam! Unless you are okay with paying double what you were expecting for a room id recommend staying somewhere else.

I am writing this review from my hotel room at 2:30 a. M. What better way to spend my time considering I haven't been able to sleep at all tonight due to a hotel-wide rager. I've been told by the front desk security is going floor to floor, although we are on the 11th floor and it's been hours since my first complaint. I am not exaggerating when I say there is no possible way to sleep. Pulsating music throughout the building, drunk 22 year olds running down hallways, yelling, cursing, banging on things… This is hands down the worst hotel experience of my life. Regular hotel guests were never informed of this "industry party" that is being thrown. I would have sprung for a different room at a different hotel.

We stayed in a room with two queen sized beds for the price of $120 for one night. We checked in around noon and left our luggages in the room. After roaming around Chicago we came back and got ready for bed. When I first entered the restroom it truly smells like piss. We didn't call room service but I thought that was pretty unprofessional. They offer a complimentary L'Occitane soap shampoo and lotion. The decor of the room was really nice and the view our window was not bad. I really liked the bed and the pillows as it was really comfortable. Overall, I thought I was a nice place to spend your night. It is near downtown Chicago so you can basically walk to almost every popular restaurant. We also checked out the complimentary gym but it was fairly disappointing as there were only a couple treadmills and some weights. The 24 Hour Fitness was around half the size of our 2 queen bedroom. There is also a popular lounge on the fourth floor of the hotel. You can hear the music from the third and 5th floor as you enter the elevator. We want to check it out and very surprisingly the elevator opens up into a VIP looking lounge with dim lit lights, loud music, and a lot of people in clubbing attire. When you walk in there is a small bar to your left and past the bar is the bottle service area. We decided to grab some drinks and go to the outdoor area in the back. Since it has been snowing for a day or two, the outdoor area was very icy but still beautiful.

The Godfrey Hotel was beautiful, and the room was amazing. The staff was friendly, and courteous and that is why they deserve 3 stars. The reason I'm withholding two stars is because I had a hard time accomplishing the main function of the hotel room: sleep. After spending most of the day and night with my girlfriend exploring the city we came back to our room on the 5th floor around midnight. The club/ lounge was located on the 4th floor which made subtle thumping noises that could be heard below. What lead to the most unpleasant experience were the thin walls, and clientele that the hotel attracted during our stay. Across from our room must have been a large group of people that decided to share one room. Around 5 to 7 guys and girls. They were smoking inside of their room, and when they returned at around 4 in the morning they spent the next hour and a half or so, smoking, drinking, slamming doors and talking loudly in the hallway as people entered and exited the room. This might not have been an issue on the upper levels of the hotel, and I can only speak for what we experienced in our stay on the 5th floor.

Location was great. Room was comfortable and clean. Rates were great. Furniture was modern and stylish with a minimalistic theme. No included breakfast was disappointing and restaurant prices were high, but the air of quality in the hotel would make a continental breakfast seem out of place. The bar was great but it was expensive. 2 long island iced teas were over 30 dollars, but all the drinks were perfectly mixed and the bartenders were extremely friendly and professional. The price of the room via the Hotel Tonight app was excellent and it seemed that the regular rate hovers just over $100 per night, which was excellent for the area. It was close to food and nightlife with a liquor store on the adjacent corner. I plan on returning the next time I stay in Chicago.

I wouldn't even this this place 1 star. I was here just last night, 12/26/2015 and was treated very unfairly and very disrespected. Some friends and I went down to celebrate with a friend staying in the hotel for her birthday. There was 3 of us that arrived first BLACK women, we were basically interrogated at the. Door not even able to get passed security to the elevator. We were given some lame excuse about how she had to have a table for her guest although she was a guest of the hotel she was fine but we weren't. As we sat calling our friend from the lobby our other 2 mexican friends arrives came in, walked right up no questions asked! I mean right in and straight up, they called us from the bar upstairs asking where we were! When we confronted the security guards he stated that maybe that they were assumed to be going to the parking garage. But our question to them was how would you know if you didn't stop to interrogate them like you did us? This place is a perfect example of racism at its best. This place will NEVER get my money nor my business. First appearances/experiences are everything and this made a lasting impression that I will always associate w/this hotel.

Great hotel. Good staff and service at the IO lounge. Things are pretty pricey up there though.

I booked this location because it was fairly cheap and it was close to one of my relatives; it was a great decision. I stayed in a king room, which was clean and came with 2 sinks: one inside the bathroom and one out. Surprisingly big plus. There was plenty of storage, and the front desk was responsive to any requests. We also had pizza from the restaurant downstairs, which was good, although pricey. Highly recommend this hotel, but book it soon because I doubt the price will stay this low for long.

Very clean hotel. There was some noise but nothing overwhelming. Location is amazing. And what a great city too!

Great stay at the Godfrey! The beds are incredibly comfortable. The rooms have a nice modern decor. We were on the 10th floor and it was perfectly quiet with a great view. We had a good night's sleep all 3 nights. We also liked the location: close to the brown and red lines, lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Although it's close to some touristy areas, we preferred the other options with some local, eclectic and unique bars/restaurants around the corner from the hotel. Great price for a great location.

BEST HOTEL in CHICAGO HANDS DOWN! I Stayed there for a weekend staycation and I was very pleased with the service, the rooms were amazing and CLEAN! And the food at the rooftop spot was great! I definitely recommend this place for my people who asks about Chicago Best places to stay! Great job Godfrey Staff/Management.

I had a great stay. As it turned out, this was one of my best hotel stays EVER, thanks to the Assistant Manger Ron. I later found out that the key to getting a better room is to check in early (which I did not do). As a full-time caregiver in much need of respite, upon my arrival I asked the desk clerk for the quietest room in hotel. They were sold out and they only room they had was a couple of floors above the club. I almost wanted to cry and I guess it showed on my face. The next thing I know Ron took over. I ended up with one of the best rooms in the hotel. A suite! It was perfect. It was sooo comfortable, especially the bedding. I didn't want to leave. Most importantly, I didn't hear a thing. I slept straight through the night. Would I stay there again, you bet! Even though Ron gave me good advice. If you really want peace and quiet don't book a downtown hotel. He's probably right, but I would definitely stay there again.

The Godfrey Hotel is the best hotel in Chicago — hands down! The rooms are gorgeous and the beds are so incredibly comfortable. On top of that, the hotel has the most amazing rooftop lounge with breathtaking views of the city. At night, it's a popular destination for music and cocktails. In the morning, it's the perfect setting for brunch. Delightful.

Please be aware that this hotel is the WORST place to sleep on Saturday nights. They have an indoor club that goes on till 3am and you can hear pounding music IN YOUR ROOM all night. When checking out, I notified the front desk that everyone in our room could not sleep till 330 am because the loud music and all he said was "it is indicated on our website that there is a club in the hotel. " That was all they would say and had us on our way. I consider that very very poor customer service for a company involved in the hospitality business. You have been fair warned. The walls shake.

I booked this hotel via American Express travel site for my yearly RSNA visit and could not be more disappointed with my overall experience at this hotel. I will explain everything in details so grab your cup of coffee and read on. Hotel is very clean and modern. Rooms are clean with great design elements in them. Reminds me of hotels in Vegas. There is a lot of noise in this hotel. From waters going through pipes (when someone turns on the hot water) to even hearing other guests walking in the hallway opening and closing their doors. If you are sensitive to noise, you can not sleep here. I guarantee you will wake up at least 2-3 times a night. There is a bar and a restaurant on the 4th floor which is open till 3AM so expect a lot of noise if you are on floors 3, 4 and 5. The staff at the front desk are the worst I have ever witness on any 4 star hotel I have been to. They are rude, unprofessional and disrespectful at the best specifically a gentleman by the name Anthony (I really don't think he was a gentleman or anything remotely close to it, but I am not trying to make my point by being disrespectful. After all I have much higher standards. I'm putting his name here so if you had a similar experience, you would know that this guy had a history). I have had a delivery for me downstairs but the hotel policy is not to allow none-guests to the floors so they call me to go downstairs and pick up the item.

Beautiful rooms. The club in the hotel will keep you up til 3am if you are within 3 floors of it — more if you are on the side of the hotel that overlooks the bar. It is too bad that the description of the hotel does not include the fact that they have an extremely loud club that bangs until 2:30 in the morning. If you are 30 years old and get back to the hotel drunk at 3 AM or later, it is a great place. If you are looking for a modern luxurious hotel and want to relax while visiting the Windy City, this is not the place for you. We will never come back here.

The rooms are gorgeous and roomy, and the restaurant serves great food. We hosted a meeting there and everyone was really pleased. Their meeting planning is top notch. If you are hoping for a good night's sleep — ask the staff to place you in a quiet area of the hotel. It gets pretty social and noisy. The gym is very small — and a request to Hotel — how about 10 pound weights.

I really love the atmosphere of the Godfrey. The rooms were very clean, and the beds were comfortable. The staff was friendly, but the rooftop bar was not very good. The drinks were very bad, the waitresses were rude, and its not exactly a "Roof top" Its only on the 4th floor? Not a very good view and its kid of small :/ If im rating the hotel it self is 5 stars. But The roof top 3 star.
