Checked in after a very long road trip and immediately noticed the awesome service level. Richard greeted us after we pulled in and efficiently handled our luggage and gave us very good tips and instruction. Rory at the front desk made our check in a pleasant experience and I was already starting to relax and looking forward to our stay. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Later in the evening, the manager, Anne, was very helpful and accommodating with some requests made. I have stayed at other good hotels in Chicago but I highly recommend this one and will stay here again in the future.

Had a great time at Hotel Chicago. Top notch staff. Special shout out to Money and Russell. After finding out it was our Anniversary, they upgraded our room and sent up a card and bottle of bubbly. That is customer service, right there. Great location, very clean too. And a great view. Thank you, for making our special day that much more special.

Great hotel. Great location. Great customer service. Nice stay. Parking is costly. 71$ for valet. So park in a close parking lot to save 50$. After your stay watch out for your credit card charge. They charge for items you won’t use. They are good at refunding if you report for the same though. I am giving 3 stars only for that extra billing and dealing with. Apart from that all good.

It's a great hotel with a near perfect location. Room was nearly perfect. Bed was great. Give a remote that can take advantage of the smart TV features. Staff was great. The elevator was kinda annoying with always needing to swipe your key and press a button if you are trying to carry something. I would certainly stay there again.

We got placed at Hotel Chicago using priceline deal and I'm glad we did. From the beginning, walking in the staff was very warm and welcoming and offered to help with bags. The front desk receptionist gave us the option of a higher floor so that we could get a better view. Walking to our room, the hotel was very nice and clean. The decors was modern and chic. Our room was at the end of the hallway, which made it a quite stay, but the room doors shut very quietly and not the typical loud hotel doors, so I feel like any room would be quiet. The room was beautifully decorated and beds were comfortable. My only minor complaint is that there wasn't a close up mirror for a woman to do her makeup. But that's not enough to deduct a star. I would totally stay here again. The location was perfect and they even had an amazing breakfast spot (yolk) inside.

From the style decor to the awesome amenities, Hotel Chicago and it wonderful staff leave nothing to worry about. From warm and welcoming greetings upon arrival. To its central location. You will be pleasantly please with your selection. It is located within walking distance of several major attractions and restaurants.

The location is excellent close to the "L", free trolley for Navy Pier, House of Blues is next door, River Walk is a block away, restaurants all around. Rooms are spacious and very nice. Russell the concierge is very helpful. Ask him about anything and he can probably get you a discount or something kind of extra perk. Staff is very helpful. Highly recommend.

Avoid in any cost.
we have booked 2 rooms, and also reconfirmed the reservation 2 days before arrival and also notify the hotel about late arrival. When arrived to the hotel, guests find out that there was an overbooking, and they were sent at 0130 AM to hotel which is more than 40 kms away (while the meeting that was the purpose of the trip is only 500 meters from the hotel). The receptionist was really not accomadating, it felt like we are ditrurbing him at 1AM with those problems.
The version of the story is changing all the time, someone said that there was a problem with the maintainance of the rooms, other said that its overbooking (guests were coming at 2330 and got the rooms), and also that all hotels in the radius of 40 kms were fully booked, which was not true.
try to avoid it, as this hotel does not know what customer service is, and how to evaluate its guests. Go anywhere else.

We used this hotel for ALL our wedding guests and the room blocking process was perfect. They are very responsive and accommodating. The room rates are reasonable. The only issue is the cost charged for valet, but we provided other parking solutions for our guests that worked well. I highly recommend this hotel for wedding guest accommodations. The hotel's location is great (right along the river and close to many restaurants, the Chicago theater and other attractions) and they provide great customer service.

For visitors to Chicago this is well located near all the main downtown attractions. Pricing is reasonable given its location and bedrooms are a good size and of a good standard. Our bedroom overlooked the House of Blues, Chicago River and between Marina (Corn Cob) Towers was Chicago Theatre in the background. We were busy touring the sites during our stay and only dined in the bar on the evening we arrived. The bar menu was limited but standard of food provided was excellent. Hotel Chicago is perfectly located near the river and the L. Major must see spots like the Field Museum and parks are easily accessible by foot or train. The room was quite nice, if a little small by American standards. However the staff at Hotel Chicago were very helpful and accommodating. We arrived extra early and they expedited our room and held our bags for us so that we could grab a bite while we waited.

Awesome location, great atmosphere — not cookie-cutter decor. Meeting space is great for smaller meetings. Front desk staff could use some more customer-centric training. Not big fan of pump soaps in shower and other amenities were a bit lacking for an Autograph Collection.

I really like to stay here. Great location that is close to restaurants, bars, sights, etc. Nice comfortable rooms. Cool hotel design. Decent beer and food at the bar. I've found it a little hit and miss on price. Sometimes I get it for a great deal. Other times I end up staying at places I don't like as much because it is too pricey. But it's always a treat when I can get this hotel at a good price.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was very spacious and clean and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I choose this hotel due to it's close proximity to a conference I was attending. The staff was very helpful with directions and there are several great places nearby such as restaurants and cafes. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I will be using this hotel in the future.

When I stayed here it was awesome, bed was so comfortable and clean. You Have to pay for parking but that is the way it is in downtown Chicago. I was here for a dental convention. Great staff updated rooms and clean. Very high priced though. Do not touch the robes or bar in your room because they have sensors and you will pay for those items.

My fiancee took me here for my birthday. The front desk was very nice and friendly. The rooms were clean and beautiful! We had no problems with the valet either which was amazing. I would definitely stay here again.

Location, location, location… oh, and service, service, service… oh, did I mention the decor? Ok, so they cover all the bases here at the hotel closest to House of Blues. We had our anniversary dinner at RPM just a block or so from the hotel, so the location was simply perfect! The next morning we were able to see the river get dyed green as we relaxed in our room. Seriously, we have been in at least a half dozen hotels in downtown Chicago, but this is our favorite location. You're close to shopping and just across the river from the theater district. You'd be hard pressed to find a better location. The service was top notch as well. As you walk in, the staff is quick to get you checked in and will do what they can to offer up places for you to enjoy a bite to eat. Overall, we were as happy with Hotel Chicago as we could be. Some hotels might be fancier and some might be cheaper, but they are a great balance of nice, reasonably priced, and in a perfect locale.

I haven't stay here, this review is simply based on trying to get a drink or 6 at the lobby bar. I stood there for over 10 minutes, the bar was full, but seemingly everyone already had a drink in front of them, there was no line, yet getting the bartender's attention took an act of god and me finally yelling "can I order now"? The bartenders seemed to stay together on one side of the bar and rarely if ever look up at the patroons they were serving.

Not a bad room in not a bad location. Prices aren't too bad here too. Some complaints: breakfast isn't included, I think Wi-Fi wasn't included, and valet parking is ridiculously expensive. All that's said, the rooms are nice and simple. High ceilings, a cute boutique style that's pretty masculine actually. And the location was perfect — close to all the bars and not far from shopping.

Great hotel! Cheap price for St Patrick's weekend, fast check in, and clean rooms! The bathrooms we're large and the view, even though it wasn't toward the river, was still lovely. My one thing is that getting to the front doors was a bit confusing. Some better directional signage would be great. Thanks! I'd definitely stay again!

I’ve stayed at several Chicago area Marriott’s and Hilton’s in the past year and this was unfortunately the worst of the bunch. Pros: Decor Location Cons: The gym is antiquated, small and hard to reach. The concierge lounge is less than adequate, very little food is served, drink selection is lacking and desert consist of a plate of cookies. My room was not appropriately cleaned each day, essentially only my bed was made. The restaurant was missing about 1/4 of the menu and one of the meals I was served was inedible. While I did complain about what I was served at the time, I was not offered a replacement nor was my meal comped in anyway. So I paid $20 for an inedible dinner. I checked out this morning and have attempted to receive an answer on my complaints from either Marriott or hotel management and as of now it’s radio silence. As an Autograph property this is supposed to be a higher end hotel, but it’s definitely not worth the extra money. Stay at the Courtyard down the street or even better the Palmer House, about 1/2 a mile away.

Upon arrival we were greeted by an unfriendly desk staff. There were no smile or greeting and she seemed very displeased and grumpy to know we had done an online checked-in through Marriott apps. When we got into our room we were very disappointed to find our "concierge" room was less than stellar. Our bathtub was dirty and the tile appeared dingy. The ceiling had the most unnerving cracks just inches from the windows, running parallel the length of the room. The television was hanging crooked, and the wall art had smudges and unknown liquid stains. Even the hallways (14th floor) were dimly lit, giving an unsafe feeling. The elevators also felt very cheap and rickety, as if they were neither inspected nor up to code. We love autograph collection hotels from Marriott, but we do not think this facility deserves an autograph status let alone be considered category 8.

Great hotel. I had the 15 floor and had an amazing view. The room was so clean and put together modern style (I will go stay there again. ) the door man and front desk were very helpful and kind to direct tourist as myself to the best little restaurants around the city. Over all I was very impressed.

A great, central place to chill out and go shopping. State Street to the south of the hotel entrance, the Magnificent Mile 2 blocks to the east and then north. In the midst of some of the finest dining in the world. We have loved this hotel for 20 years and numerous name changes. A great get away.

An absolute gem tucked away in the heart of Chicago. The pictures sometimes online do not do justice to the real thing but in this case, they were justified. The front desk workers had an enchanting smile on their face which was very heart-warming and welcoming. The rooms were greatly located facing the skyline, I enjoyed my stay! Our family stayed here for 3 nights to explore Chicago. This hotel is very convenient with transportation to pretty much everywhere in Chicago (even to the airport, take the blue line down and walk 10 mins). The best part of this hotel is the staff tho. Everyone is really nice! Special shout out to Jake at the bar who helped us get hot water to make food for our baby. If I had to nitpick I would say that we got 2 double beds instead of the should be standard 2 queen beds in America. Would stay at this property if coming back to Chicago and would recommend it to family and friends. Thanks for the great stay!

Awesome hotel with nice staff. One of the nicest hotels I've been to. Even the parking staff was very kind and joked with us. Very cool to see them park the cars in the tower. Rooms were beautiful and clean. On the more expensive side, but the location was excellent and allowed access to many pubs and stores.

Great check in and concierge that booked a tour for us at a discount. Rooms were fine at that price point. Fridge was full of tempting items. Had to empty some to use. Would prefer some fridge room and a microwave. Great location.

Great location, great service! Right next to the river walk the 2 bed room was nicely spaced without cramping the area. The toiletries provided were good.

Very nice hotel. Location within short walking distance to the Navy Pier, Magnificent Mile and L stops. Tons of amenenities in the hotel including the amazing breakfast restaurant Yolk.

I stayed in the autograph for a work trip. The hotel as excellent and is close to the Merchandise Mart Chicago where he was attending various events. Very liempio. If you recomiendi.

I stayed overnight for a bachlorette party and the hotel was very close to everything we were planning to do! We were able to walk to other locations, and not have to get a taxi. I was a bit disappointed that the exact room I ordered was not ready when I got there but the receptionist gave us the free breakfast which made the different room totally worth it! Everyone was so nice and friendly and the hotel was absolutely stunning! The valet parking was wonderful. I felt my car was very safe and that there was always security on duty. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Great place. Just like other Marriots, the a/c always seems to be not working? Otherwise it would have been 5 stars. The girl who checked me in was A+. One of the nicer concierge lounges in the Mariotts I've been to.

In the heart of downtown next to the "corncobs" and House of Blues in Marina City… very convenient location. Inviting lobby great guestrooms and concierge service. All transportation is accessible from this location. I and my family loved the great breakfast at Yolk restaurant connected to the hotel, a bonus. Extra towels were requested and delivered witin 10 minutes. Great service!

Great location in North River part of Chicago, easy access to shopping, Riverwalk, House of Blues, many great restaurants and overall great views, plus any necessities are nearby. No spa in this hotel. Rooms are modern, staff is friendly and competent. Housekeeping is adequate but they need to check walls and mirrored art… looks like either some kids or very active adults (lol) stayed here. No room in fridge, just an honor bar, and no microwave.

Great service from the check in desk, to the concierge, to the room attendants. Any and all requests were handled quickly and professionally. Rooms were cleaned and with great views to boot. I would not hesitate to stay again.

Booked through Hotwire as a blind deal. I knew it meant getting a less than desirable room and mine was right across from the elevator. Pleasantly surprised that I had a quiet, comfortable rest there. Great location near state street and millennium park.

In for a formal business meeting. Hotel is very clean and spacious. Employees seemed accommodating. Watched as a manager pointed out to housekeeping staff member about the surface of a table still being sticky after, I'm assuming, the housekeeper cleaned it. The manager spoke to her about it like a human being and not in a strict authoritarian or condescending way, which is very refreshing to see. Would myself stay here and would recommend friends and colleagues stay here.
