Very clean. Very nice staff.

We, had an amazing experience at the Hyatt. The staff was incredible. We, mentioned it was our son's 8th birthday and upon entering our room was a super cute gift basket the hotel staff left for him; filled with treats, stuffed animals, sunglasses and candy.

I found some of the staff to be very unprofessional.

Hyatt is the best! My husband is an outpatient at Moffitt’s Bone Marrow Clinic and we are required to stay nearby for a total of 70 days! The Hyatt has been so accommodating and caring towards us! It’s very clean and they are big on safety.

Today, this hotel turned away my Navy son and family who had to evacuate from Mayport due to Hurricane Dorian. They made a reservation in advance because the website stated it was pet friendly (they have a cat). When they arrived, they were turned away and their reservation was canceled because they have a cat. They had a difficult time finding another place because of the many people evacuating. This hotel should be ashamed turning away a military family that is evaculating. They were lucky enough to find a Holiday Inn that actually waived the pet fees because of the situation. I will never stay at a Hyatt again! Shameful!

This hotel was a great stay! The breakfast was sooo good. The pool was very well maintained and stocked with towels. The staff is very helpful, friendly, and does everything to make your stay great! Thank you guys for making our family vacation such a great memory!

We really enjoyed our visit here. The ac in the rooms are now that great but the people who work here make things like a/c not that big of deal! The guy who picked us up from the park brought us towels because he knew we were soaked from the storm! Lady at the front desk is amazing! We love the staff.

The hotel is very clean, the rooms are so much bigger than expected. We took the shuttle to and from Busch Gardens and it was so easy and the drivers were all friendly. The breakfast was good, nothing fancy, but for a free breakfast you can't beat it! All the staff that we have encountered have been extremely helpful and friendly. If we come back to Tampa again we would definitely stay here again.

We hadcto fly down at a moment's notice due to a family emergency at the VA hospital down the block and chose to stay here because of the Hyatt name. We we're NOT disappointed. The rooms were great but most importantly, the staff was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! They helped turn a very difficult situation into an easier experience for us. And I mean everyone here. There was not one person who did not help us when we needed and even without asking. We are extremely grateful for all they have done.

My family and I enjoyed our 10 days vacation at Hyatt Place Tampa/Busch Gardens. The complimentary breakfasts was great, my favorites were the waffles, eggs, veggie rice, and the muffins. My kids enjoyed their stay, and are already asking to go back. The Hyatt's employees made our stay comfortable, with their smiles and their kind gestures made us feel welcome. We enjoyed their complimentary shuttle to the theme parks. It is a great family hotel, but we wished there was a high chair for toddlers during breakfast. Keep up the good work Hyatt! I booked this as part of a package deal with theme park tickets. One of the things I needed was a shuttle to the park, which this hotel offered. It turns out they do have a shuttle but it is FIRST COME FIRST SERVE. If you do not get on the list, you may have to wait HOURS to get another trip on the shuttle. Another thing I look for is room service. The majority of hotels that offer room service bring your food TO your room. This hotel DOES NOT. After placing over a $50 order, they didn't even have the decency to let me know my food was ready and needed to be picked up. When I finally called an hour and a half later, I was advised that my food was there and to come get it. Horrible. Everything was cold and the amount of food for the price was highway robbery. I have gotten better service from cheap motels. When we checked in, I had a special request for a crib. I was told someone would bring the crib up to the room. Our plan was to order room service, feed our kids, and grab a shuttle back to the park. When I got into the room, there was no room service menu. I called down and was told someone would bring up a menu and the crib right away. Keep in mind the VERY limited availability of the shuttle. Almost 2 hours later I got the crib and the menu. I missed the window for the shuttle so that bunch of tickets to the park was wasted. Also, since the shuttle is full, I have to pay for parking at the park.

I went on a road trip to visit some universities, and after a 4 hour ride, getting to a beautiful room was very relaxing. We had absolutely no problems with the room. It was all very clean and the size was great. Breakfast was delicious, but we found ourselves having to wait for a table to open up because of the small space downstairs. Other than that, amazing stay. 10/10 recommend.

A lot of things went wrong with this hotel, I will give you the good and the bad. I booked a 2 bed room with a pullout couch and they overbooked and gave me a king bed with a pullout couch, which was not acceptable because I was staying here with a friend. They didn't have rooms to accommodate me so they gave me a $30 discount. Then, the lid for the ice bin in my room was moldy. And the bathroom was tiny. They had the receptionist doing 4 people's jobs and she was overwhelmed! She was serving the bar, cleaning rooms, answering phones, it was bad. But she was an angel! She was so nice and sweet and was the 1 reason my trip wasn't totally ruined. But please… do not stay here!

This was our first stay, but will not be our last. The service and accommodations were great! The complimentary shuttle to and from Busch Gardens on July 4th was timely and friendly, even at 10pm with the rush of people leaving. The rooms were perfect for 6 people and the free hot breakfast helped start our mornings off right! Thanks for a great stay!

We arrived really early and knew the room wasn't going to be ready. We were allowed to park and ride the shuttle to Busch Gardens. The shuttle is free for a 3 mile radius and you make appointments for them to pick you up (just by calling). Pick up from Busch Gardens was at the 15 mark at the start of the hour (3:15, 4:15 etc) We got back to the hotel around 4:30, but the room we booked wasn't ready yet. The staff was flexible and moved us from a double bed to a king bed room. Very clean! I'm one of those people that closely checks sheets/pillow cases/bathroom and towels. The bed was okay, it's $100 a night so don't expect temper pedic or something. The breakfast was good. They had sausage, eggs, fruit, yogurt, bagels… all that typical hotel breakfast stuff. For what we paid, it was a good place to stay.

I really didn’t want to give a bad review but I have a 4 night stay here and I’m on the 2nd night and have already moved a room once because the air conditioning broke. They were quick with getting me a new room but now the a/c in this room isn’t working. Thankfully enough it happened early so they can either fix it or move me once again. Other then the a/c problem in rooms 421 and room 410 (avoid these rooms) the breakfast was awesome and this is a generally clean place. I see they installed some security cameras in the parking lot which I assume was in response to the vehicle thefts that occurred. I will update my review when I’m through with my stay.

Our room was really nice and the staff were super helpful. Accidently forgot our phone charger and they had a spare they let us borrow! The hot breakfast was disappointing. We were told there would be bacon and sausage but there wasn't. But other than that, we really enjoyed our stay.

We had an unplanned trip to Busch Gardens and after looking for 20-30 mins we picked this hotel and what a great choice we made. The staff was helpful, rooms were very clean, pool was nice and clean and breakfast was good. They also have shuttle to Busch Gardens. Will stay again as we have annual passes to Busch Gardens. Then what made it better was my wife left an outfit and my daughter left her blanket and we called 9hrs later to see if we left it and they had it in a bag at the front desk when we called. The staff went above and beyond for a lost outfit and a blanket. Looking forward to staying again.

The hotel was right in the center of everything you could need and Busch Gardens was right down the street so we were one of the first there. The hotel room was very nice and had an awesome shower. Unfortunately there were no plastic coverings for the ice bucket which we refused to use without one. The hotel had plenty of ammenities including a pool and free breakfast. Busch Gardens was great, sad that at least three of their attractions were closed because we really wanted to go on them. It was overall a great experience though.

Loved our stay while visiting Bush Gardens! Hotel was impeccable and the room was near resort class. Can't say enough about the staff who catered to our every need! Their shuttle service is excellent especially our driver, Harold, who was extremely delightful and courteous! We WILL be back!

Decent place. Room with 2 queen beds was larger than expected. Had L-shaped couch, kitchenette, desk area, and built-in drawers/vanity area outside main bathroom. Only complaint was that white comforter had significant brown stains on the top. Staff was nice. Breakfast was very good and bar had nice selection of wines, beer and liquor. Neighborhood around hotel was ok. Never felt unsafe, but there are definitely nicer parts of Tampa.

We decided to take our family to Busch Gardens for a three day trip and The Hyatt was conveniently located. Big mistake choosing this hotel. We had nothing but problems from the very beginning. I will skip all the issues with the hotel (broken ac, malodorous/dirty rooms, shuttle forgot to p/u, etc) and get to the most important factor; safety! On the day of check out we went down to the parking lot to retrieve our vehicle and low and behold, it had been stolen. Panic struck but maintaining my calm Dad mindset I called authorities and then reported the incident to hotel management. I was told by hotel management that they do not have surveillance and that there was nothing they could do to assist us in our time of need. After a long detailed conversation with law enforcement I was informed that this hotel is a targeted area due to no surveillance and the location. The officer stated that predators walk the train tracks that run parallel to the hotel preying on who they may. I understand that the hotel was not directly responsible but the fact that we were stranded in Tampa and no assistance was offered or even compassion/empathy shown, baffles me. Please book your stay far away from this area. There is a apartment complex located within 2 miles that is so crime ridden law enforcement are fearful of the area. Very disappointed, what was meant to be an a weekend of excitement and family fun turned into pure disgust and horror.

Worst customer service ever! I reserved a king bed room at a high story floor for two nights. First, they placed me in room with two queen beds room on a high floor. So I had to go back down and ask for the room I reserved. The receptionist relocated us to a room with a king bed but this was on a lower floor but I was ok with this. When entering the room however, the room was less than desirable. Small things like the exhaust fan in the bathroom and some lights were not working. A minor annoyance but I was okay with this. Second, today after returning back to my room exhausted, I notice that the room was not cleaned at all. No clean towels, no bed made, nothing. I went downstairs to ask the receptionist if they clean the rooms daily and she said yes. I thought maybe because of the room change they didn’t know this room was occupied. Before I can even ask the receptionist if the room can be clean as soon as possible, another woman who works there interrupted and told us that “The rooms will be cleaned soon” very aggressive and frankly rude. Telling me that “Well, I’m glad you know that now” I returned well after 5PM. I’m exhausted. I just want to rest in my room. And I definitely didn’t need the attitude from the staff here. Bottom line, I am never getting a room from any Hyatt hotel ever again!

I have stayed at other Hyatt Place hotels. This one was underwhelming. I get it… It's a tourist hotel. Right next to Busch Gardens… But it just felt creepy weird inside the lobby. Like it used to be nice 6 or 8 years ago, but now it's lucklustre is showing. Weird foreign tourists just hanging out in the lobby for who knows what. Rooms are decent and clean. Staff friendly. I'd never stay here again for over $100 a night.

I love the Hyatt Place. Every time I visit, the staff treats you as family and greets you upon arrival. The rooms are extra quiet and the breakfast is always good. However, at my last visit the full breakfast was not ready at 6:30. However, the staff was very apologetic about that and did all they could to remedy the situation.

If you give this hotel greater than a 2 rate you are a moron or work for the Hyatt company They have one person working the front desk after 6pm. The hotel has a bad smell. They do not have a restaurant at all in this hotel, they just throw food in a microwave. No Starbucks, the bartista is the person who checked you in the front desk. This hotel would be rated a poor holiday inn. The transportation will take you to Busch gardens only once an hour and bring you back once an hour. The only reason anyone goes to this poor excuse of a hotel is because of Busch gardens. Both elevators don't work properly. Also no vending machines even though they are suppose to be there. Check my history I don't write reviews like this I wish I would have saw an honest review about this hotel before I came what a horrible decision for a $160 a night.

Hyatt place always seems to have great hotels. Free breakfast buffet morning, clean rooms, friendly staff. Only stayed one night but would definitely go back.

From the service of the staff to the cleanliness and size of our room to our breakfast, every thing was right. There were only 2 minor issues: one, the availability of the shuttles and tje size of the bathroom. Virtually every hotel I have stayed in Busch Gardens offers free shuttles constantly. In the case of hired one had to reserve on the reservation was always full. Given the location of the hotel, it would make sense that they would have shuttles available all the time. In the case of the bathroom, it was a huge room yet the design had made the bathroom small. Not a major issue considering the cleanest and the modernity of the room. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The door to our room only fully shut if we used the lock and the carpet had stains. The breakfast was frozen pancakes or waffles that had been microwaved and quickly became stiff. The staff however were nice and helpful.

Upscale hotel, met expectations. Free breakfast was a great addition, unlike some that offers only boiled eggs and cereal they had a great choices, like bacon, sausage, potatoes, waffle, toasts etc. Elevators are slow, linens doesn't smell fresh but clean. Definitely recommend for family.

Service Was up to par. However this location is the worst I’ve stayed in the Tampa area. The building is in need of a major renovation to reach the Hyatt standard. The door to the room doesn’t self close if you don’t push it hard enough, you might be sleeping with the door ajar all night. Other than the fact that one of the hinges was falling off the frame. Not good in a high crime area. As I was nearing the hotel I observed two police incidents where someone was getting arrested. Inside the room All the pillows were stained I had to call house keeping to get clean ones. Don’t get me started on how slow the elevators are. And according to the front desk agent they get stuck often. I have to say it was a quiet stay despite the busy intersection. I was only staying there one night since there were no other Hyatt rooms available but I wouldn’t do it again. I would drive much further or book with a different Brand.

Very nice staff, but the room is impossible. One sink, 6 inch counter space, minimal bedside counter space. Absolute minimum for bathroom space. You step in the shower to close the bathroom door. Sink is in the room. Minimal closet space. We would never come back. Breakfast is powdered eggs. No restaurant. Room wasn't cleaned until we asked for it twice. A/C didn't work properly. The architect saved space, it's like flying economy, maybe worse.

I like that most Hyatt Places are exactly the same. I know what I'm getting for my money. Clean room. Simple hotel style. And decent coffee in the morning. My only compliant, and it's not a big one, is their elevators are always so slow. Always — no matter which one I stay in — why is that?

Well let’s start of with the first impression. The parking lot had many pot holes. The front desk when checking in staff if you did not say hello I do not think they would said hi welcome to the Hyatt. Ok my reservation I reserved a high floor with a king bed and no ada bathroom. The lady said we do not have any high floors king rooms available at this time and I know that your reservation was that. She said we have a 2nd floor king. Well she failed to mention it was an ADA room/bathroom. Once we got to the room the carpet had a whole in it, the room was dirty, the house keeping people were rude and she and other staff members were on Bluetooth on a phone bitching about work cleaning other people’s shit because that’s what she said. Before we could even get to our room they had only one elevator out two working and it was so slow it literally took 15 min to come down people were taking the stairs. This hotel for the price we paid $164.00 was way over priced. A Hyatt place wow. I’m so not impressed. I have reservations for Hyatt Regency in Orlando in dec and I’m scared. The following day for the breakfast the lady that was tending to the replenishment of condiments food and etc was so rude she was like excuse me I need to get in there and I ask well where do you need to go she’s like everywhere. There was no silverware and not enough seating people were standing eating no one offered any additional seating. The staff was freaking rude.

So far the staff has been very friendly. Checking in went very smoothly as well. Nice breakfast buffet this morning. No complaints so far.

My room felt warm when I first went in so I turned the A/C as low as it would go which it said 60 degrees. However, the room never got cold and I could not sleep at all because I was so hot. I even had to go get ice from the ice machine to hold next to my body to try to cool down. I didn't complain because there was no other rooms available and I was only staying for one night.

You can't find a better place for your money. Ample rooms with all the creature comforts you need, friendly staff, good amenities and overall clean and organized. The building is modern and in great shape. The breakfast is served continental type but is not bad. Overall a great place to stay.

Hotel is a tired location that is not horrible, but better may be found for the money. The general feel is that the hotel needs a good cleaning. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was acceptable. Would stay again, but not as a 1st option.

We love this place! We brought our two dogs this most recent trip. We were so surprised how easy it was to have them stay with us. Plus, the modern design makes it feel like a brand-new hotel. We 100% recommend this for dog lovers and really anyone. Front desk staff has always been extremely friendly and helpful.

I love the room's layout and the surrounding space. I was disappointed that there is no microwave, no Turner Classic Movie channel and I wonder why the beds are so high, I need a step stool. It is close to Moffitt, and the 24/7 menu is ideal for me.

We were at this hotel under very stressful medical issues at Moffitt Cancer Center last week for several nights. It was located perfectly, just a mile from Moffitt. We were in limbo with our checkout due to the medical procedures performed. Ms. Kabriel Bryant, the lead gallery host was extremely kind and helpful with each of our concerns throughout our stay. We hope to return one day for pleasure, but at this time, we will be returning for more medical appointments. We live in FL, so this isn't a vacation. We truly appreciated Hyatt's reservation service too. For the initial reservation.

My friends and I went up to tampa for the weekend to go to busch gardens. The hotel gave us a shuttle to busch gardens so we saved $20 on parking. The room was nice with plenty of space.

Went to this hotel right after having a bad expierence at the hotel down the street. The staff made our stay here extremely enjoyable. The people at the front desk are extremely friendly. Their breakfast and other meals are great and there is plenty of places to sit and eat. The rooms are very large and can fit me as well as my family members (5 of us in total). There are a few mirrors and two sinks which comes in handy for when all of us are trying to get ready in the morning. The rooms is also very clean. The hotel shuttle that takes you to Busch gardens is very comfortable and they have plenty of times available for pick ups. I really can't say enough good things about this place and staff. This place is extremely comfortable and clean!

Brought my family for Busch Gardens and had a great experience. They provided clean room, hot breakfast and a shuttle to the park. When we got back from the park around midnight my son was hungry so we request a menu. The menu came within a minute and we was on the top floor (6). Service there was amazing. Everyone is friendly and very accomodating. Thank you.

Totally not recommend! lived here for 3 nights, every afternoon when we back into room, the room was not cleaned, we have to call front desk to send people to clean the room and have to wait in the lobby till they finish the work. 1st night found a hair in my bed sheet, ask them to change linens on the 2nd day, they failed. They even do not vacuum the floor during these 3 days. Bad room services, totally disappointed.

I wouldn't bring my dog there if I had one! first of all orbitz has it as a four star hotel, I did further research its only a 3 star… I spent almost 3, 000 on a trip for me and my family. The second day I started to itch real bad and I used allergy meds and soap, just to get home and go to my doctor to find out I had scabies! I have never had anything like that in my life. And my room was cleaned supposedly just for my child's shoe to come up missing. All they could say was sorry… I guess they only get business from travel companies. Very poor unprofesssional bunch of people there. How am I gonna pay to go on vacation just to have all these problems… I would never stay in a place that poor and dirty, they got my money tho… I started to turn around and leave when I entered. I should have but when you from Boston and you have your family all the way down there what to do? but be in a filthy ass place like that one!

I'm staying several nights and so far the experience has been positive. Good breakfast and nice transportation options for areas near the hotel. One minor issue is that housekeeping mistakenly entered my room without knocking thinking that I requested towels, which I did not. Otherwise I still am enjoying my stay there.

Pool was very dirty, expensive bottled water to purchase. I was very unhappy with how it looked even had a smell was not as nice as the pictures showed. Stood at the counter for check out for a while before any one acknowledged me. Not as nice as I expected for the price I paid for a night. Very small bathroom, did not expect that. No lotion included in the toiletries. Just a disappointing trip. Brought my husband here for a surprise for his birthday along with going to bush gardens.

Close to Busch Gardens. Decided not to use shuttle as it only runs on the hour and requires a rrservation. Just easier to park at Busch Gardens. Breakfast included, decent selection of items. Hotel was nice and rooms spacious.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were beautiful. The bed was very comfy. The rooms are very clean. It was very close to attractions. I would definitely stay there again.

Terrible stay! I am usually a fan of Hyatt places, but this one simply didn't measure up. The room was spacious but smelled stale. I could have lived with the smell, but it was so loud, with doors slamming all. Night. Long! Partying guests screaming and running up and down the halls and generally making a nuisance of themselves. I was worried my infant son would wake other guests up but he was the most well-behaved guest on the floor!

Rooms are very spacious and clean. Breakfast ammenity is terrific, and the staff were super friendly. I stay here a few times a year for meetings and I've never been let down. Shuttle is available to go to nearby Yeungling brewery, USF campus, and Busch Gardens (anywhere within 3/4 mile radius)

The location of the hotel was great, and the free shuttle and discounted tickets to Busch Gardens were great. The room was quite noisy though, and I found the bed uncomfortable. The breakfast was above average for business hotels in the US and included with the room.

STAY AWAY! Without a doubt the worst managed and operated hotel I've ever had the misfortune of staying at. From the front desk to housekeeping, this hotel failed across the board. The room 'appeared' clean, but given the overwhelming shortcomings of this hotel I'm afraid to think about where my family slept. Inept staff and nobody seemed to care about the customers.

The proximity between the hotel, and Busch Gardens was great! There were so many places to dine-in at. The customer service at the front desk was amazing! However, we were rushed out of the hotel by room service (checkout was either 1100 or 1200). At 0900, I was asked if we were leaving "right now". I said, "No, not right at this moment", and the lady said she needed a time, now. I felt rushed, and somewhat offended, since we were checking out at 0930, to be in the park at 1000. Also, the room was not as clean as I would have liked it (and I'm not a neat freak, by any means). There appeared to be bodily stains/secretions on the blanket. GROSS! And there were black spots on the ceiling. The outdated TV had about 20 horrible quality channels, and the air conditioning sucked; the knob was broken! There was old candy left on the floor, etc. It wasn't too bad, but it could have been better! The Hyatt in Orlando was phenomenal! In Orlando, we had a squeaky clean room with a swivel HD tv, and an open bathroom with a glass shower. I do not feel that it was worth $120, for less than 24 hours (check-in is at 1500).

Terrible housekeeping! Exterior grimy. Rooms not available @ 6PM! 2nd day, came back to room at 6+PM And room had NOT been touched! One towel, burned out lites, loose toilet seat, slow internet! Housekeeping showed up at 7:30PM but we had settled in and didn't want to wonder the hall waiting. I travel a lot and never experienced this before! Terrible way to represent Hyatt brand! Worst H Place I've been to. Then breakfast was nothing but microwave crap. Not like any Hyatt Place I've been to previously! Owner is obviously milking this site. Shame on them.

Extremely slow Wi-Fi. Staff is very friendly but seem very new. Breakfast was good.

Very convenient if you're planning to go to busch gardens, as they have a free tram service to and from the park. The beds are par, and the rooms are clean and spacious. That said, the whole place could seriously use an update (especially the air conditioning systems, which are those loud, 1-piece units that you find in old motels). Also, I was disappointed by the proudly advertised free hot breakfast, which is OK at best. I guess it's a step above the standard 'continental' at most hotels, but nothing to get excited about. But all and all, a pretty good experience.

This is NOT a real Hyatt anymore! My wife's uncle and aunt are staying there for a week while visiting from Minnesota. They have been having a horrible experience, we are having a rare Florida freeze this week and the heater won't work. Every time they leave and come back somebody turns off the heater. They refuse to leave towels. The floor is wet near the AC. The breakfast wouldn't let them have a banana, saying they weren't ripe when another person had one. The phone won't work when they tried to have the front desk move their room, etc. Etc. We are embarrassed for their experience and the weather. This place is a DUMP.

Very clean. Excellent staff and nice location. Just one suggestion. Inclusion of a laundry would be a boon.

I don't often stay in Hyatt properties but if this experience is an indication of the treatment I'll receive. I'M SOLD! While the hotel itself is not in pristine shape, not bad mind you, the bed was very comfortable but the big selling point is the Staff. Everyone here has been extremely nice and personable. Not sure if they are taking sympathy on me for being stuck here due to the weather up north, but something tells me, this is their normal treatment for the guests here. Thank You, Thank You! for making a bad situation not so miserable.

Last year we were in the Hotel and I liked. Rooms clean, somewhat small for my family of 6, but in general the attention was good and adequate breakfast. This year we went back to buy a package with Busch Gardens and chose the same hotel.

This is an AMAZING hotel! The best one I've ever stayed in by far. It's exactly as the picture shows — Beautiful, modern, and clean. The office staff is also extremely friendly and helpful even at 2AM in the morning (which is when we arrived). When we walked into the room itself we were amazed! It's very comfortable and feels like home. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.

The room was clean, large, comfy, and the mattress was like sleeping on a cloud, very quiet and restful room. The staff and management were helping, caring and courteous. My only negative feedback is high rates for comparable rooms in proximity and poor internet connectivity.

It is a stopover with good facilities hotel.
