Clean, quiet hotel and staff was very cool and professional. Rooms were big and private. You basically get two rooms for the price of one, will be bringing kids next time. Each room has it's own small private patio. Very close to everything, Busch gardens and Seminole Casino etc. Large gated property and had open outdoor layout, was still very safe and secure, doors to parking lot lock behind you and cameras everywhere. Has nice size clean pool and pool tables in common area. Would definitely recommend and will be staying there again!

My wife and two boys stayed at the Baymont Inn for one night after a day at Busch Gardens. We were very happy to find a suite for such a good price! The whole family slept comfortably and all our needs: sheets for the boys on the pull out bed and extra toiletries, were promply taken care of for us. The suite looks newly remodeled and kept very clean. Also, as a side note, the woman who took care of us at breakfast (continental so I had some fruit) whom I failed to get the name of, was so friendly and attentive. I hope she reads this as she made us feel very welcome. All in all a great experience for the time we spent there. Highly recommended by us!

Good room, soft beds, but our balcony is kind of blocked. Would stay here again but another room for better view. But all in all it is a good place to stay for the price. And very close to Bush Gardens.

I loved the hotel, it is literally across the street from the park BushGardens, but access to the park is not as easy as crossing the street from the hotel, for the size of it, but the hotel offers free shuttle to the park round trip. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, have two separate spaces, the main room and one with living room and study, which can be used with sofa beds to accommodate more guespedes if you go with family.

It is comfortable but the attention is not excellent, there is no coffee station as well as good room service.

Very Nice hotel. Every room is a Suite with a front living area separated by a door to the bedroom area. Great pool with a nice little snack shop poolside. Very Nice staff. We had a small problem one of the days during our stay & the manager was Great. He handled it immediately & as professionally as possible.

It was a great hotel. The employees were really nice and my room was clean. I'll go back when I visit again.

Extremely close and convenient to Busch Gardens. Hotel has plenty of parking, offers simple breakfast and shuttle to the park. Accomodations comfortable but need updating.

Sketchy Looks better online than in person Breakfast wasn’t that great Sketchy man walking around that was told to get off the property but was still there. A couple of my friends stayed there in a different room and were scared too. This was supposed to be a nice hotel but it was so sketchy I will not recommend ever.

Floors in the rooms are linoleum and have not been mopped in a while. Your feet get dirty just stepping out of the shower and getting into bed which is about 5 feet away. The breakfast selection is very limited. Yesterday's choice was waffles, cereal and sausage and gravy. Today was the same except hard boiled eggs and no sausage and gravy. The staff were very nice and helpful.

This place needs to update its information… there is no restaurant-bar… we stayed there and booked it because of the restaurant and thought it would be great not having to go out… it has hardwood looking floors which were not very clean. I spilled some water on it and when I wiped it up the towel was black… it was very noisy at night and music was always blaring. But I will say the staff at the reception were extremely helpful and wonderful. They gave me an early check in and a late check out as my family was spending 2 days at busch gardens and I couldn't do the walking. Plus this hotel is only 5 minutes at most driving time to busch gardens so an excellent location for that. I just think the rooms need to be cleaned a bit more and noise control a bit better…

My stay here was great. The personal are diligent on their responsibilities. House keeping on point always. The personal at the dining area are awesome Jessica and Wela are the most loving people ever met. Management is great they keep this hotel on spot. I will recommended to friends and family.

My friend and I stayed here for four nights. The first night when we tried to use the shower, it didn't work and no hot water. The floors were so dirty that our feet were black with dirt. There were toe nail clippings that were not ours on the floors! We had to get another room because of the shower. It was worse. There was mold under the fresh paint in the toilet area. And the whole room smelled musty. Some of the outlets were open and didn't have covers. The faucet for the sink in the bedroom took two days to get hot water out of it and the whole thing moved when you turn the handle on. The freezer in the fridge was broken and we had to take the coffee maker to the bathroom sink because it had a very short cord. There were creepy guys just hanging around on the other side of the courtyard and they pointed at us when we came out of our room. They locked the front door of the lobby after a certain time at night and made us go around to the side and use our card keys. It was not lit and was super scary. The elevators are freaky! They are very rough and don't quite make it all the way to the floors. We will never be staying here again and do not recommend it for anyone else either.

Positive: The location was very close to Busch Gardens, a shuttle bus was offered from the hotel to Bush gardens. The breakfast was very good. Room was very large, we had almost a 2 bedroom apartment. There was a laundry room. Fitness area was also available. Pool in the courtyard. Ample parking facilities were available.
We initially had a problem with a faucet in the bathroom, but that was fixed immediately. A compliment to the staff.
Negative: location is not central. The fitness area was closed due to renovation. The hotel was very noisy: the pool, the whole courtyard (you can hear it in the rooms, as people pass by it), but I was particularly upset with breakfast. Presumably it was a large family, who were also at the hotel at the same time. The kids walked around all over the place screaming and making noise.
Conclusion: Apart from the volume — which does not always have to be the case — the hotel is recommendable! Breakfast and the big room were great!

Room 1400 everything was very good with the baymont inn & suites.

Great place to spend a few days in rest and tranquility. Central to attractions, food, recreation and entertainment.

Dirty rooms, went to check in and a guy was painting our room. This was at 9 at night after driving 10 hrs. Had to get another room, dirty sheets. Had to change my own sheets. And they hardly gave any discount off after saying they would do a major discount.

The staff at Baymont is much better then any other hotel I have stayed at. I am at peace of mind and at home at Baymont. Two thumbs up!

Hotel itself was decent. It was clean and nice staff. But, no hot water. None. Call to complain to the front desk and was told they are aware of it. They had no idea when it would be fixed. There was no offer of compensation for the inconvenience. My family of four went without showers after spending the day at Busch Gardens.

Nice place close to Bush Gardens. Our room was spacious, and looked like they just renovated. Lots to do at the hotel. Pool, ping pong, and gym. They also had a nice outdoor bar. We enjoyed our stay. Staff was so nice, especially in the breakfast cafe. Also, really nice breakfast area, with lots of selections. We were plesently suprised with the hotel, as we typically travel in our own camper, to avoid hotels completely.

It's more of 3.5 nearing a four. Seems like they are wrapping up some renovations. My room looked just redone very modern with metal accents and gray wood flooring. The staff is great, super thoughtful. Shuttle service available to the park. Location is perfectly close to everything!

Rooms were clean. Pool was awesome air conditioner never moved from 74 degrees in a king suite. Bed comfy great staff. Breakfast needs improvement but overall ok. Would stay again.

One front desk clerk was not pleasant at all you could hear the sarcasm in her voice, while the assistant manager stood there and listened. Got to the room although, it was very clean, it had a strong sewage scent. Couldn't change rooms due to the hotel being fully booked. The AC wasn't working properly, very hot in both the bed room and living area. Can't say I got exactly what I paid for. One would think if the hotel is newly renovated it would have the sewage pipes rearranged somewhat, as you could smell the sewage coming from the AC vent. The Wi-Fi kept chipping in and out, was given a password upon check-in however, it didn't ask for password. Finally, some of the guest, on our floor smoked ganja just about every night. I would suggest that they look about getting security to oversea the compound especially at nights to avoid such things because not everyone enjoys the scent of weed. I was afraid to make the staff aware because I was not sure if they would've told them who actually complained. I strongly doubt we will be staying there again.

The room was very nice and cozy The bed was amazing. White sheets, white blankets. Having a balcony was great. Separate living room was very nice with a door that shuts in between. Nice hard floors. 2 sinks. We stayed two nights and not many people seem to be there. Quiet. The pool was nice. Overall I would definitely stay here agian and recommend staying here.

I torn between 3 and 4 stars! Pros: Shuttle dropped off and picked up whenever you wanted. Staff was very nice! No bugs! Clean rooms! The bed is unbelievably comfortable! Hot water! Very Pretty blue pool Price. We paid under 190 for two nights! Cons: Yes, the place is renovated, BUT it was cheaply done. The wall fixtures are falling off the wall and are old. The pool floor is dirty, but at night its pretty. The lobby smells. I thought the worst, but the rooms are way better than the lobby. The phone was grimy. Suggestions Finish the upgrades and this place would be awesome! I would recommend to a friend that is not picky about hotels.

Spacious rooms with a small balcony. Breakfast typical motel standard. Location is ideal for visiting Busch Gardens. There is also a shopping mall nearby. The rooms are currently being renovated, so there was no noise, but some areas were closed, eg the bar and the gym. In addition, the water was turned off between 1 and 5 a. M.

Most disgusting place I've ever stayed. Mold mildew AC not working properly. Not to mention the dirty rooms and cob webs on lamp shades and behind televisions. Avoid. Staff are far from accommodating. Two rooms payed for and both were disgraceful. No working bar like advertising promoted. Second room had mold near soft wall from leaking AC and under carpet. Both bath tubs had hair on side of tub and inside not to mention a slime film in edges of shower. Floors were clearly not vaccumed in both rooms. Requested new bed linens because first "2" sets had stains and in 2nd room had dirt or brown sand on it. Again less than accommodating staff. Night stands and dinette table were never cleaned or wiped down. Stressed my concerns the day of check in, with no luck from guest services. Spoke with an alleged manager on site due to general manager not on promises. With a $35. & change refund. To mention I payed for two rooms. When I was very upset with the services and disrespect I received from the front desk staff the on site manager as I was checking out. She told me my 2 rooms party of 9 had 10 minutes to leave or she would call the law for trespassing. Seriously? My son with asthma (6) woke up using his inhaler due to this. Keep in mind he hasn't needed his in healer in over 5 months. Im so upset. Yet my party has 10 minutes to leave due to your disgusting hotel… Absolutely absurd… We travel ALOT staying at several hotels and this by far the WORST EXPERIENCE for my family.

The african american woman Erica at the front desk is AMAZINGGGG she tended to every minor little request and need we had. Went there for a weekend trip with 4 kids. Good breakfast. Nice and large clean room but toilet overflew once: ew. But even though the shuttle broke down before we could have a chance to ride it to busch gardens we called the hotel and they got us a nce cab! could use a bit of brightening up and a few renovations here and there but all in all there were no major problems. Would go bac agan.

Nice staff (Vivian) was excellent. My wife had a funeral and she was able to check us in early and she made it. Pool is awesome, room is fantastic with the setting — we call around town for the same room but the price is like oh my gosh $189 per night without breakfast.

It's great for families with kids because of the way the rooms are set up, but not for a couple looking for a relaxing time. We also waited 45 minutes for the shuttle to pick us up at Busch Gardens and had to call twice because they never sent the driver the first time. There needs to be done updating done because the price is not worth it… At least to us. I would rather spend another $25/night and stay at the Hyatt.

Stingy with towels. There were 3 of us but they only give 1 set so we had to repeatedly ask for more towels every time the room was cleaned. On our 1st night the room keys did not work. Maintenance came and fixed the device which was loosely attached to the door. Since our 1st night we have had to have our room keys replaced 3 times because they demagnetized even though all 3 of us kept them away from our cell phones and credit cards. The bathroom fan was loud and blew dust and mold which jacked up our allergies and my asthma. The hide-a-bed was filthy and we couldn't use it. Over all the room is old and moldy smelling. The free Wi-Fi never worked it looks like it's not strong enough to handle the guest bandwidth. This is sadly one of the worst places I have ever stayed and will not be back. Skip this dump and opt for the University Embassy Suites around the corner.

Not a great place. Dirty, dusty, old. The carpets probably hadn't been vacuumed in months and there was mold in the bathroom and a crack in the bathtub. Breakfast was generic but good and pool area looked clean and inviting. No hot tub-appeared to have been filled in. Overpriced for the cleanliness but safe and quiet.

The worst hotel ever. First of all, I'VE BEEN ROBBED! … Yes! I went one week ago just for one day, we went to have breakfast to the cafeteria, my friend left a jacket on the chair and went to get the breakfast, when he got back to his chair the jacket wasn't there anymore. We went to the front desk to ask if somebody found a jacket and they said no! So I asked them to please check the camera and guess what? The camera that are in the cafeteria it doesn't work (I don't believe that) so nobody gave us an answer. The manager (a lady) came to the front desk to see what happened and she got back to her office like nothing happened. She doesn't even said sorry or at least "Hi". No body was able to at least said sorry for what happened. They just told us that the hotel is not responsible for that … Yes, they aren't responsible for a THEFT. Ridiculous! Second, the room that we got was big, but smelled really bad, like dirty. No recommend at all. The worst one.

Good location. The bathroom was old. The room was humid but great bang for the buck.

Was there last night 1-13-2016, and was totally disappointed. The heater wasn't working so I froze my butt off, woke up coughing. The TV wasn't working,! How do management allow to rent these rooms without checking to make sure everything f… ing works. You may ask why I didn't notify the front desk I will till you its not my fu. Ing job to notify the front desk especially in a late check because you ain't got your crap together! I woke up coughing so thank you, not! Will not visit this hotel ever!

Starting to show it's age. I had to wait for maybe 10 mins before someone came to check me in. At that late hour, I was sure it wasn't a business call. The heater didn't work and I was chilly, low was in the 30s overnight. Full hot breakfast was available. Heater pool outside, which I wasn't in the mood for.

Stayed here when we first moved to Tampa. Staff was the worst. One forced my oldest son out of the breakfast area because he didn't have on a shirt. Not a big deal, except that left my eight month old baby in an unsafe high chair by himself. When I complained to management they asked us to leave. Never stay here, never let anyone you know stay here either!

Check in was at 4, we arrived at the hotel at 6 after a 9 hr drive. When we got to the room, there was a employee at the room saying the room wasn't clean. We were escorted to another room that wasn't the room we booked (we booked a king bed 2 room suite). On the 3rd attempt, we got a room. There wasn't bedding for the pull out sofa for my son. There was a dirty towel on the back of the bathroom door. The fitted sheet was the wrong size & kept pulling off the mattress. Had the A/C was set at 65° & it was incredibly hot. The shower took more than 10 minutes to heat up. The walls are terribly thin & we could hear everything from the neighbors & room above. It was a non smoking room, although there is a sticker on the balcony window that said if you are going to smoke do it on the balcony and to close the balcony door to avoid a $250 cleaning fee. We couldn't use the balcony because of that reason & also because our 15 year old son is allergic to cigarette smoke & really didn't want to be in the ER. The TV had crappy reception, lines & snow. If I had a choice of putting a ZERO review, I would never recommend this hotel to anyone! Finally, when we blessedly returned home after a terrible stay, the hotel charged me twice for the room and I had to deal with their "Front desk manager" to clear up their error. I wouldn't stay at this property in the future if the room was free!

Room was great, clean and big enough for all of us. Location is only about two minutes away from Busch Gardens. Only complaint was that the free breakfast was a little lacking, but it got the job done and it was definitely preferable to spending $10 per person on breakfast elsewhere in Tampa.

The hotel is extremely conveniently located near Busch Gardens. It has kind staff but is in need of renavation. The location is what sells this property not the quality. This property is well laid out and has the potintal of being 5 starts.

I have used this hotel in the past and was satisfied but not this time. I'll never go there again! I was there june 1st 2015 and was woken up in the middle of the night by bugs biting my legs. The next morning I asked to speak with the manager and told he was not there. A lady came from the back and I told her I was awoken by bugs. She more or less told me I was lying. I asked her to look at the bites and she turned around and went back into her office. No I'm sorry No nothing. So I canceled my next reservation which was scheduled for july 13th and will never come back. I do have to say both Brandon and Vivian are great employees. To bad they weren't there when this happened.

Staff was friendly, however the condition of this hotel is atrocious. It looks alright from the outside, but when we got inside our room, I thought they mistakenly gave me keys to a room that was still waiting to be cleaned. I went down to the front desk to tell them, and they confirmed that it was in fact a ready room. The staff was kind enough to move me to a different room without a hassle. Unfortunately, the new room was even more filthy than the first. The red carpet looked like someone brought in several cars had had sloppy oil changes done on the carpet. The wall next the bed looked like a child dipped his hands in mud/blood/poo and waved them all around the wall. In the end, we could not get our money back and had to stay in this awful room. We took the comforter from the bed and laid it down over the carpet so that we had a clean surface to walk barefoot on. My girlfriend and I ended up laying out t-shirts on the bed and sleeping on those. She cried twice and I felt guilty and terrible because I had picked out this hotel. Please save yourselves some peace of mind and grab a clean hotel up near fletcher and 75. There are several hotels there that run shuttles to Busch Gardens and are much much nicer. And around the same price.

My family and I recently stayed here in March 2015 for 2 days, and we were quite pleased. One of the first things I look for in a hotel is the cleanliness, outside and in, and bathrooms are my biggest pet peeve. The beds of course are another in terms of making sure the sheets are clean. Overall we give Baymont Inn a 4.5 because of the staff and cleanliness of the place and room which we stayed in. Their professionalism and attitude towards us was an awesome experience. Whether you are a 1-5 star hotel your attitude and behaviour says a lot. That can make the difference of getting a 5 star rating instead of a 2. In saying this I realize that there is more to it than that for some people, but I wanted to make a point. What could have been a not so good experience turned into a great one, just because the staff was willing to accommodate us and was very professional in their attitude. A special thank you to Salena, the morning and evening front desk staff, and Kitty for her warm and friendly welcoming at breakfast. She greeted everyone that came through the doors the same. This place is in need of a renovation. I stayed in room 2114, so I can't speak to what any of the others might be like, but the hotel is just not in the best condition. Our room had stains on the walls and ceilings. The shower curtain was mounted on a curved rod that would not allow it to stay closed, causing water to get all over the floor during every shower. The breakfast had little in the way of hot food items besides a waffle, mostly cereals beyond that. They did have someone there attending who would make the waffles for you. However this person was perhaps a little too friendly. She was apparently known for going around to hug all the guests, as she did me. On the plus side the shuttle service to Busch Gardens was very convenient. They took us over immediately and pick us up as soon as we called. It really was the best thing about our stay here and since that was the purpose of our visit it was helpful and saved us parking and wait times for the trolley. If you want a place just to catch a little sleep and are spending the days at the parks, it might be worth your troubles. Otherwise, you're better off looking elsewhere.

This was the worse hotel I've ever ALMOST stayed in. I got a great deal through Hotwire and read the reviews and got the impression that this was a nice place for my 15 yr old son and I to stay. NOT! This property looks nice from the outside, but once you get through the lobby it goes to you know what, literally. My son went to the men's bathroom to change into his bathing suite and one of the toilets had feces all over the seat and floor. When we finally made it to the pool there was a beer can floating in it. There was a bar near the pool and apparently there was a family reunion and they were very unfriendly people. I did not feel safe enough to stay with my son so we ended up driving home. The pictures you see on their site are professionally done TRUST ME.

Terrible service by this corporation. I called there 1-800 number on their website, which is outsourced to India or the Philippines, so I did not get to talk to the person working the front desk. It was 12:05 am saturday night and the booked it for sunday night. The rep never confirmed the date with me. So I drove 30 minutes to the hotel to find out it was sold out and there was nothing they could do about it. I had to call the 1-800 number which I did. They told me there is nothing they could do about it since it is apparently the same day cancellation. Asked for supervisor, the rep had no idea what to do. Was put on hold for 10 minutes before I disconnected. Emailed Baymont corp per their website. Over 72 business hours and still no response from them. Not even to tell me they received my message and are looking into the situation. Worst customer service ever. At least other places will let me talk to some one or respond to their customers.

3.5 is more accurate score. Hotel quality is what's expected for the price. Looks like some updating has been done, but the carpets and sofa beds could definitely stand to be replaced. Our sofa cushion had a small hole in the cushion (looked reminiscent of a cigarette burn, although the room in non-smoking) and the mattress had a support pad under it to make it more comfortable. In the bedroom, one nightstand is missing a handle. The suite door was difficult to close. Overall, the room was pretty clean, but I could see hair from the cleaning lady by the sink, behind the door, and on the tub rim, so I picked up some Clorox wipes and re-sanitzed everything. No insects or bedbugs observed (and we accidently left a pizza out all night on the desk). They have 2 flat screen tvs in each room — one in living room and one in bedroom, with basic cable +HBO. No pay per view movies. There is no cooktop, just a mini-fridge, microwave, and small kitchen sink. The funny smell in the elevator is from the rubber floor. Room service is available from an outside vendor and most of the local places will deliver to your room with no issue. Front desk staff for the most part isn't especially friendly but they are helpful if you ask for anything. The free breakfast includes muffins, bagels, cereal, fresh fruit, boiled eggs, waffle bar, juice, milk, and coffee. You don't want to arrive late though because they end breakfast at the posted times. There is a tiki bar w/ pool tables near the pool.

Apparently they have sorted out what needed to be done. I am in an updated room which is clean and spacious. The outside is under going some painting to freshen it up, but it is a decent place. It is not business class, but it is better than any Ramada or Days Inn and would give Wyndham and Microtel a run. At $80/night it is an excellent value. The check-in girls are very friendly too. They were well qualified. Only thing I would add are pens and paper to the rooms and speed up the Wi-Fi. It's speed is intermittent. Within the Wyndham family of hotels, this Baymont deserves a 4-star rating. It should get an extra half star for the value compared to what other hotels charge in the area.
