Very nice accommodations! The pool is great and you MUST schedule a massage in the spa. Expensive but one of the best massages I’ve ever had. Housekeeping was a disappointment. They don’t restock coffee or clean the bathroom. They make the bed and that’s it. I had to call the front desk every day for coffee and toiletries.

Such a nice hotel! Everyone we dealt with was very helpful and happy. We loved feeling like we were VIP. Thank you Jessica for all the attention you are AMAZING!

I stayed at the Shellbourne just one night but I wish I could stay longer. It is so impeccably clean! Everything has such attention to detail. I highly recommend ordering a mojito.

We had a wonderful week! Mostly pros, some cons. Pros: Hotel and location are beautiful. Gorgeous views and beach. Lobby and housekeeping staff wonderful. Cons: Elevators slow. Wait service in pool dining room and beach pretty slow and not very personable. Would definitely recommend though. Bit more of a fun young vibe rather than a get away and relax vibe.

Worst worst worst service in the entire history of hotels on Earth. The staff was rude and inconsiderate as well as lazy as hell. They charge you $10 for delivery fee for them just to bring your breakfast up to your room, and they don’t tell you that until they give you a FAT bill. They are the biggest scammers and they will not return your deposit. If you contact them they will keep you on hold and not answer you. There was a girl staying next door to us who was on drugs yelling and screaming in her room and banging on our door, the hotel did NOT kick her out they actually let her stay, we had to inconveniently pack our bags and move rooms. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! If you order breakfast or lunch they will bring it to another room on purpose so they can charge you and you get no food! The manager and the staff are the worst people you can ever speak to. SCAMMMMMNNN HOTEL! They have not returned my $800 deposit for 6 days of stay. I have filed a complaint with BBB NOBODY stay at this hotel unless you want to throw your money in the garbage.

Horrible! The place is not kept up, slow service! Drinks are way overpriced with little alcohol in them. They run out of towel for the beach and pool. They overcharged us by $400. Still waiting for a call back 9 day’s later. Don’t waste your money!

Due to some hotel inconvenience, we had to relocate. We chose Shelborne at the last minute and drove 4 hours from Sarasota to stay here. It was the best decision we could’ve made. Armando and staff have taken care of us since we pulled up in front of the hotel. The room is beautiful and comfortable, with modern tones and breathtaking views. We will absolutely return, and we look forward to the next three days here! Thank you!

I have been here five days and must say the staff is warm, friendly and tries to be helpful. I was blown away with one of the managers, who, after a couple of problems, set everything straight. Thank you, Armando! Because of his attention — he went beyond — to a client’s needs — I will be back and would not hesitate to recommend the Shelborne.

One thing that set this hotel apart from The others is the customer service that Delisa provides. She has amazing customer service skills I’m not sure if she is the manager, but if not then I can tell you she needs to be… Thanks soo much Delisa.

No happy with the last minute notice that pool isn’t available for 4 days! Lack of customer service appreciation, totally disagree with management approach! Can’t wait for the Ritz to reopen! Zero complaints there!

Dated rooms, overpriced drinks and poor / rude staff. If you stay on 4th July expect to be removed from any furniture unless you pay an addition $250 min fee early before they run out. This was not related despite asking.

The Shelborne is absolutely fantastic. The staff is top notch. They are extremely polite and well mannered. I have zero complaints. Breakfast was amazing… much better than at IHOP, denny's, and many other restaurants. I would definitely spend time here again.

There was only one mirror in the room and that was the bathroom mirror and the lighting was horrible. With females in the room we need more mirrors. The toilet looked like a toilet in a public bathroom. The bed was hard and there was no ice machine. They had a coffee maker but no coffee. The light blew out in the bathroom and it was never replaced. The pool was so warm it felt like it could be a hot tub. They had dishes but there was no dish soap to wash out the dishes. For the price I paid for this room it could’ve been better. Location not so good if your looking to be down ocean drive.

Great resort. The staff is top notch especially Oscar the concierge who goes above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and entertaining as possible. The front desk host are very cheerful and a pleasure to deal with. The hotel is comfortable and exceeds needs. We’ll continue to come back and enjoy our stays.

Shelborne is reasonably priced for the location. It is directly on the beach and in walking distance of resturants and bars. The hotel has good amenities like a gym, hotel restaurant, bar. The pool area is nice with an open bar features and grassy area. The rooms are clean, only recommendations are carpets need updates.

I am from Louisiana & recently took my 1st trip to Miami. It was 4 of us and this hotel only had double beds available for the 1st night. We had to stay at another hotel the other 2 nights. The second hotel COULD NOT COMPARE. Our Shelborne Hotel experience was AMAZING. The property is BEAUTIFUL. The breakfast was sooo good that we wanted to go back and eat there even after we checked out. Also, they stored our bags so we could go and kill time until we were able to check into the next hotel. Staff was great! Hotel Manager was great. We met him in the hall and he introduced himself and helped us with our bags. If I ever go back to Miami, this will definitely be my 1st choice! GREAT EXPERIENCE all around!

I loved this hotel for its art deco architecture, its interior decocoration, the room, the private beach… The hotel is very well located.
The only downside is its pool too small.

Was beautiful but the staff wasn't that friendly. Mid day, mid week, took very long time to get Car as they park it 4 blocks away. Great pool, beach access, would go again.

Overall nice/clean hotel and our room was clean. All the staff we interacted with was polote. The Pool was a nice size and beach access was convenient. Me and my wife got a basic room (king bed) but it was a bit on the smaller size from what we were expecting. Because of that I would give it a 4/5.

Shelborne is very well located. One block from the beach, two from Lincoln Road. It has a very well equipped pool, with food and beverage service and towels. On the beach per room, there are two lounge chairs and towels. Highly recommended. Excellent care.

Very good hotel, really nice staff. Very well surrounded. The prices at the bar and restaurants are too high, could be lower. Excellent breakfast, rooms are comfortables and quiet, the swimming pool is beautifull. The beach is just by the fence, water blue and clean. I hope return. Very good. Congratulations.

For a South Beach hotel this place is very good value. Very large bed, large clean bathroom and a well stocked mini bar. Room was quite and it was an easy place to relax. Also has friendly valet parking staff. It has a really nice bar but very few people when I went, but a nice place to get a drink anyway.

The rooms are very small, we took a room for 4 people and the closet too small there was no place to store the clothes. They could improve the cleanliness of the room.

We did not get the contracted room which was ocean View, we just got the room as at 20 HS, 2 days they did not clean the room, the Valet service was a mess and especially one of the people who attended was rude. I don't recommend it, a shame x that the place is good.

Reception mixed, most of the staff not very amiable (fortunately not all, among other a young man speaking French who referred us along our stay), everything is optional and a fortune. Parking for the car is announced to us (on arrival, knew it would have to be paid) at $34 at night, finally charged $44 excluding tax of course. If you want an umbrella, you have to pay again. At the reservation we had paid for a sea view, arrived at the reception we did not. It is the realm of air conditioning, and it very noisy in the room we were forced to turn it off at night. The front door is not automatic and weighs heavy, a porter is seldom there, so hello the galley when we are loaded with our bags and suitcases… In short, in fact a heavy door and a noisy air conditioning is not insurmountable, but it is very annoying in view of the price of the room. Positives, a cocktail offered, free Wi-Fi, pool, decor is beautiful and comfortable bedding. Maybe everything would have gone better if we spoke perfectly English. When the sun is at the appointment the garden is very nice.

Terrible. Bad attention. The employees are rude. All with a bad face. The cleanliness bad, without are 4 leave you 2 towels. A disaster. The location is good. The only thing.

I just encountered the most unfriendly bartender at the lobby bar. Up until now my stay was fine. Me being in the service field myself it takes a lot to upset me. But I can get rudeness for Free… But to pay for it while out of town… Keep it. I'll NEVER stay here again. 2/26/18 8:48pm.

Enjoyed Cabaret Cafe. Performances were excellent. Good song selection to maximize crowd participation. Drinks were good, but not cheap.

Nice hotel. But they don't have good attention as to service D housekeeping don't put the towels on. They don't leave the coffee. Q You have to deal with leave things Q. And many times the day comes and they brought nothing.

Excellent location with walking distance to everything. Was unfortunate that the bars closed early at night (but it was the off season). Staff is very attentive and friendly. We attended a nice guest to staff mixer with great free snacks/drinks. Would come back.

I liked the hotel very much. The service is good. It is located just Avenue Collins in the heart of Miami beach. You'll find places to shop nearby, places to go out to eat, have dinner. The area is a bit expensive but for a holiday it is worth it. I would have liked that Shelborne was an all inclusive hotel.

False advertisement… They claim certain Rooms do not belong to them… They are privately owned… The rooms are never cleaned during your visit and don’t even request clean towels… Because you won’t get them! Excessive security for some odd reason as well… They are very rude to guest! Most employees barely speak or understand English.

I have booked two nights at shelborne through Hotwire four months ago and I arrived today from Colombia and they said that they have cancelled our reservation to Hotwire (Hotwire did not notify us). The cancellation was 5 days before our arrival and they said it was because of the Hurricane (no sense! )
The problem was that we have paid our stay and we were unable to pay another stay, the hotel did not give any solution, or our money back to be able to book another hotel. Also we asked for all letters and prove of the notifications they sent to Hotwire and they refuse to give this information formally, only we were given a post it with the date of the cancelation november 5th and we arrive November. We do not recommend this hotel. Please share!

Great location, incredible staff, very clean facility. Everyone there goes above and beyond to make it great stay. Only 2 things I would criticize them for. 1. The pool is only open until sundown. This is Miami and we party late. Sundown is way too early to close. 2. Upon Checkout we were double charged not by accident but intentionally. They charged us for the stay and then put a hold on my cc for the same amount. They said Incase there were any additional charges. So I was out $1000 for almost a week waiting for them to release the hold. I understand taking a card for additional charges but don’t double charge people “just in case” All that being said we will be back next year.

With the exception that my room card was degaussed twice the first time I reported it to the housekeeper upstairs where I was, sent me around saying to go to the reception, apparently she was too busy to pass her personal phone call To his country of origin.
So 2 times in a row I was at the reception and no one really helped me.

Nice hotel view, the security guard at night is rude. With the pool being closed at “sun down”, we had to sit to the farthest chairs which is about 700 ft from the perimeter of the pool itself. We had to be close to the bar staff. With that much money that I paid for that hotel, I don’t see why the pool isn’t closed until 11pm at least. Marriott hotels are cheaper and pools close at 11pm in Miami. The rooms aren’t that big, but the shower is decent. The front desk staff are nice. Not much parking. Huge Price for valet parking.

Do NOT leave anything in the room. They will steal it! I have called 3 times about a bathing suit I had left in my room (vilebrequin, not cheap). I've heard nothing back. Also, stayed for four nights… they only cleaned our room once! Front desk people were SO rude and the concierge was unhelpful at trying to recover my item. Also, it took 45 min just to check in on arrival! We requested extra towels one night because they hadn't been cleaning our room so we didn't have any… they never showed up! Pool cushions were disgusting… Spend a little more and stay somewhere nice. I wish I would have!

I recently spent a few days at this garbage hotel. Room was dirty, elevator barely worked. Shower pressure was poor. The entire experience was garbage. However the worst was the staff. I do not speak to good English, origins I have from Brazil. KYLE he is a manager he was so rude and nasty to me and did not be nice to me or my wife. Even he tell my wife her English is hard to understand. Not nice to make fun of international people's.

GREATEST PLACE ON EARTH! Edison at the Cabaret Bar was so nice and all the singers where great! The wine is fantastic! BEST HOTEL/BAR IN SOUTH BEACH BY FAR! Pool is great, and rooms are super clean!

I enjoyed the stay but…
The guy serving drinks on the beach is an ass,
Very rude, he was clearly not enjoying his work,
I felt like we all had to be punished by him because we were on vacation and he was not,
Total asshole and I will never order anything on his shift again for that price (overpriced pinacolada in a plastic cup served without a tray, assholes fingers were touching my drink)
Also the power went out twice in our room and we had to wait for more than half an hour for the power to come back on, other than that it was a good stay, valet guys were great and front desk aswell.

Great location. One of the historic hotels of South Beach Miami, today, now, all taken over by major international companies. Result: prices grown out of proportion and flattening of diversity. What favors Miami and the Shelborne is the typical architecture that diversifies the hotel structures among them. The Shelborne is within walking distance of Ocean Dr, Lincoln Rd and Sitrova on the ocean. The location is great, the pool with typical shape and with small spa… vivibilissimo. Not recommended during WMC unless you want to do 6 am and see the pool unusable due to night parties that leave carpets of plastic cups to float. Also close to the convention center, Good, therefore, also for work.

I love that I can't go downstairs, walk across the lobby and be on the beach in just a few moments. And when it's too hot for the beach, backtrack and be at the pool. The on-site restaurant is stellar. I'd definitely recommend at least having a light meal there. The rooms are small but modern with all kinds of nice touches. You can walk to everything. There are shops, cafes, restaurants, bars, clubs, museums, pharmacies, etc… all within close walking distance. If I return, I would consider staying here.

We checked at 11.30 AM. The room was quite hot. We switch on the AC. But it didn't work. Hot air was coming from vent. We called reception 3 times from 12.30 to 3.30, no one came to fix. We went to recption also 2 times. Ultimately at 7.46 pm it was fixed. The tehnician told their was error in line. It's was horrible day. Room no 935.

Use cash, the hotel charged everyone in my party double if a debit visa card was used. When we first arrived they advised that we had received a "view upgrade" now I see why since the room location was horrible. The hotel next door had pool parties everyday from 11-6pm and the hotel would not change our room after several request to switch rooms. Housekeeping forgot to provide washcloths and be sure to take inventory of the snack bar otherwise you will be charged for items that were not on the bar upon arrive (ie potato chips). The hotel decoration is nice but the aftermath is a headache. However, the pool and the fish tacos at The Oasis Restaurant was the most enjoyable part of my 4 day visit.

All was right in the world except for the last day. They day I had to leave. I TRUSTED and BELIEVED the Shelborne employee who promised he'd get me a yellow taxi to the airport. The experience begins below: I do not know how they got such an expensive total when other services such as a yellow cab, lyft, uber, etc range in price for the same service and mileage within a range of $22-$39. It was so ridiculously expensive I'm disappointed and unsatisfied. $101 is too much and it is even more regretful and unfortunate when A. ) there is not an official company name for this business. And B. ) I told the hotel I wanted a taxi, a yellow taxi, not a suspicious "business" in which they communicated over walkin-talkies. The employee who holds the front door open CONVINCED me and ASSURED me not to worry and that the price is the same, only better quality of service. Naïve and too trusting I took the bait after I repeatedly told him I wanted a yellow cab. Of course there was NO meter and lack of explanation as to how the price from $30 competitors to $101 came to be. Furiously poor, I paid what I could and had to figure out a way to pay the rest.

We booked the hotel Internet but arriving they said that they had no rooms, who had sold all and it was a disorder to explain in English what had happened and there was no way that would give us a room or return us the money instantly… Until they are reserved in the Redbury a room… Although helped us so very wrong.

Boring hotel with an annoying video. Room AC didn't do anything, was super humid in the room. Bartenders and staff were great. Lack of women. Pool closes at like 7pm so nobody can meet or have fun. All the hotels next to it know how to have fun.

We were very disappointed with our 3-night stay at the Shelborne Wyndham Grand South Beach hotel. First, their website implies that there are three restaurants at the hotel: The Bistro, The Drawing Room and Oasis Grill. NOT TRUE — there are no open restaurants here! We ordered breakfast via "room service" the first morning — it was awful and several items we ordered were missing. Also, you have to order and tip for ice and there is no refrigerator in the room. Our carpeting was dirty and, among various candies and liquors displayed in the room for sale, were included sex toys and condoms — glad we had no kids with us. Also, the driveway to the valet parking was blocked several times when we wanted to drop off our car. In addition to the steep hotel prices, add $65 per day for "valet" and "resort" fees. We did have a beautiful ocean view, but lack of access to a decent restaurant in the area after being deceived by their website is the basis for our "hated it" rating.

The service and the drinks, as always, excellent and delicious. I will continue going often.

Good hotel accomodations, great location and clean. However, the restaurant was closed for renovations at the time of our stay (Jan 2016), something that was not indicated at the time of booking and that I consider unacceptable for a hotel that charges over $350 per room/day. The small bistro at the lobby has a very limited menu and incredibly overpriced. Same applies to the pool bar, poor menu options; be ready to spend over $30 per person on junk food, excluding beverages. As you check in you are informed that there's an additional charge of $25 per day to cover fitness center, internet and two beach chairs but you are not told that umbrellas are not included at the beach and there is an additional charge of $19 each. Overall, the beach access is a total asset in this property; beautiful beach location and the overall quality of the hotel is good. They however charge what I would consider a luxury hotel rate but fail to deliver a luxury experience.

This place was great. I was a little worried when I saw the lobby because it looks a little dated by then you walk past it and it's great. Location is amazing, it's just off the strip so it's quiet at night. Got upgraded to an oceanfront room with a balcony with an amazing view. Service was great, everything comes quickly. Would really stay here again. Pool and beach is great, the resort fee gets you two reserved seats on the beach. Cons — valet is $40 a day, which is high but better than trying to find overnight parking. No onsite restaurant, is probably the biggest downside for me, this means no room service. Overall would highly recommend it, we will come back.

Rocky start as I checked in today I think mr. Hugo Chavez came in to work with some kind of problem. I guess if you rent a room from a private owner you get treated different. So please be careful. I've stayed here in the past and it was a Great experience. Not sure if I would ever rent from a private owner again.

Went for a 4 day stay for vacation with the family, the initial room given was full of ants. Asked to change the room and they accomodated a change… the 2nd room was clean. Room service missed cleaning the room on 2 separate occasions and had to personally call during the entire stay to have the room cleaned. Also, on the day of check-out; they must of de-activated the key so after breakfast I was unable to get back into the room. Overall, very displeased with the service for an upscale hotel on south beach. Spend your $$ elsewhere. Only nice thing about the hotel is the pool, and even that closes at 6:30 PM which is ridiculous…

The man in the reception named Alex, try to humiliate us. After 19hrs travelling, I asked for a room with sea view, he said he is following the computer, I said if it is possible try to change the room. He said ok and keep me standing beside him for two hours serving other people and then said sorry. I asked him why you keep me standing 2hrs to say so, he said it is perfect to complain. I asked for written complain to the manager, he said do it in the net.

Was terrible when I walked in to the hotel. Was late getting a room. Got a room that had no view of the ocean which was promised. Then I did not have a pull out bed I was promised. But have no fear the Manager Laura Montaya came to the rescue. Not only did the hotel mess up but they quickly adjusted themselves took full responsibility of there error and hooked it up pass expectations. They offered me lunch and drinks on the house. They credited me 25 dollars a night. The biggest thing was since they did not have a pull out bed like promised they gave me two rooms instead of one room. They did not charge for the second room also I got my ocean view. I also got a late check out very late check out. All around they pulled through and really were respectful nice and understanding to my needs. Excellent made my stay as awesome as it can get. By the way the rooms were very nice. Really better from years ago. Very nice stay thank you to the awesome staff and especially the manager who was completely awesome two thumbs up to Laura M. Montoya. Really Laura thank you very much you were just great. I will be returning again.
