Cute hotel, a little dated. Did not appreciate the extra $20 charge for having my children with me. Did not see any reason for the extra charge. There wasn't free breakfast or anything to warrant the extra fee.

Darren phillip and Helen are great people and run a great old south Florida hotel spotless clean rooms and great location and a warm friendly feeling to there guests will refer it to many people I know who vacation in the pompano area.

This place is very nice. The rooms are clean and ours has a full kitchen. The property is also very well kept considering that a hurricane recently damaged several nearby properties. My wife stays here every time she comes for business because the owners are very good to her.

This place is amazing! You can walk across the street and be at the beach or relax poolside and avoid all the beach crowds and traffic. The room was perfect for our weekend getaway and would have been more than comfortable staying a week or more.

My mother stayed here for her birthday and had a fabulous experience! Quaint place with all the necessities and perfect location.

I am shocked, we have stayed several times and have been happy and have been good cutomers staying for a week during season. We have never had any complaints concerning anything we have done or said. Imagine our dismay when we just found out we were charged for a bathroom sink that came loose from the wall. We were told the repairman said it was "ripped from the wall". It was obvious either it was installed poorly or this happened previous to our stay. We were also accused of lewd behavior in the bathroom. We will not be returning. Watch what you do middle agers, you might be accused of acting like rock stars! Maybe hurting for money?

Owners were great. Real people. Place was immaculate and a fair price, esp for a walk across the street to the beach. The pool was clean, they have chairs you can take to the beach. I will definitely go back there next time I am in Pompano.

If you're looking to slip away for a weekend retreat or a nice, long vacation, this is the place to do it! Each room is absolutely adorable with a character all its own… We've stayed here four times and LOVE it! If you want to sit back and relax around a GORGEOUS pool (secluded from the street with an array of beautiful palm trees and carefully tended shrubbery) or if you prefer to sit with your toes in the sand while enjoying a vibrant sunrise (literally a super short walk across the street), then reserve yourself a little slice of heaven in Pompano Beach… The rooms are cozy, comfortable, and CLEAN (we've never, ever stayed in a hotel or motel that keeps it this clean! ) … The owners actually care about your stay… They are quick to offer awesome suggestions for local eateries and entertainment, they check in to make sure you have anything and everything you need (and they remember requests you've made from previous visits, like having extra towels or a spare pillow waiting in the room), and they provide GREAT amenities like access to their grill, beach chairs, and laundry facilities! We highly recommend the Seahorse… You simply won't be disappointed! :) ♡♡♡

No one in to check me in, and treated rudely. My guest was asked at check in if we smoke pot by Darrell Queen, owner. She responded that we didn't smoke pot. That must be one of this run down motel amenities. I am sure that is why they have a D rating from the Better Business Bureau. If you are looking for a hotel that is old and run down, and has the two owners, one very rude (Darren Smith), watching every move that you make from their bird nest apartment overlooking the property, then this is the place for you.

Rude owner darren smith telling a paid guest to get out of his house because she was smoking a cigarette. My guest, who smokes cigarettes, sat down on a lounge chair near the pool and lit up a cigarette. She had a plastic cup with her for any ashes that she might have had. Darren Smith, Proprietor, saw that she was smoking and started raising his voice and belligerently explaining the smoking rules at the Motel. Of course he didn’t go over the full smoking rules when he checked my guest in because he was hung over from the night before Darren Smith, Proprietor at the Sea Horse Resort Motel, told my guest, while pointing his thumbs towards his chest, THIS IS MY HOUSE AND IF YOU DON’T FOLLOW THE RULES…GET OUT… If you are looking for a hotel that is run down, and has the two owners, one very rude (Darren Smith), watching every move that you make from their bird nest apartment, then this is the place for you.

The owners where great guys. Gave us great ideas on things to do and the place was really clean. We stayed for a week never seen any bugs or anything with it being so close to the ocean. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Phillip and Darren are diamonds! Their gracious Southern hospitality is the shining star on top of the Seahorse Motel tree. Their care and commitment to the guests comfort is obvious in the details. The rooms are clean and bright, and the grounds and hotel are well tended. This place and the staff offer the best at home accommodation in Pompano Beach.

Many better motels! no privacy and management unreasonable! power tripping owner! avg price. After checking out, they told me to come back and park on their property anytime if I wanted to go to the beach. I thought that was very nice, but they TOWED my motorcycle @ $200.00 knowing it was mine and telling them I had to postpone getting it, and with NO parking issue on the property I thought it wouldn't be a problem. I specifically parked on the outside of a space and was not even parked in a full car size parking space and it was raining hard for 2 days straight making it difficult to get my bike. After they called me and told me to get my motorcycle off their property by the end of that day, they still towed it at 1:30pm that same day. I arrived at 2:30pm the same day to pick it up and was told "I got tired of waiting on you and had it towed. This is my property and we can't have people parking here that aren't staying at our motel! " I also had a $180.00 deposit for another full week stay for my mother coming to visit which I received my requested refund. Many better motels in the area. Without bad attitudes.

Great little classic Florida motel. The owners are kind and accommodating, the room is darling and very clean, and we slept very comfortably. (Other reviewers expressed some concern with mattresses but ours-unit 3-is great. ) would absolutely stay again, it's a welcome charm in a sea of cheesy highrises.

This is an older independent hotel. The owners just took it over a year ago but they have made SO many updates it is unreal. All the paint is fresh and clean. Our room was fantastically decorated, really comfortable, and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was perfect and the shower was big and roomy. The heated pool was great and we enjoyed coffee with the other guests and owners each morning around it. We liked it so much throat we tried to stay for a few more days only they were booked, which was not a surprise. The value for the money spent here is great. My girlfriend and I both loved this place and we will most certainly be back.

This place is fabulous! If I could stay longer, this is the only place to stay. The owners go above and beyond to make you feel at home and the property is so serene and clean, it felt like home. I really did not want to leave! Whenever I am in Pompano Beach, this is definately where I'm staying and so are all my friends. See you soon guys and thanks so very much for everything! Joy and Max.
