This could be a lovely lovely place. Great location a short two minute walk to the beach. Built probably in the late 50s or 60s and could be redone to look absolutely darling. But my room had the bed springs were torn linoleum coming up from the floor. A wall outlet was open and bare behind a bed. The air conditioner wouldn't work when we got there neither would the TV. Call the people who manage the place they were very kind and fix things right away but there shouldn't even have been an issue. The outside was very darling mature trees and bushes. It had a nice pool but we did not get in it. Nice places to sit outside. But it needs to be remodeled badly. I did get our money back for the night that we spent there. But I would suggest find somewhere else to stay for the evening unless you're on spring break and don't really care what your sleeping area looks like. But not nice for a family.

Don't waste your time. Stayed here a month ago and it was decent, not the cleanest. They have lots of rules so be prepared. Place is dirt cheap so we decided to stay there again when we came down from SC for our cruise. We booked almost a month in advance over the phone she said she "treats her returning customers very well"… Fast forward to yesterday myself and four other adults drive 10 hours and come to check in and she just doesn't have my reservation anymore and is totally booked. Tried blaming it on her assistant. She's foreign so I know her voice, I've met her before. It's just her and her husband that run it. I just walked out. Seriously, don't waste your time on these people.

Really dirty, unsanitary, we found a dead animal underneath the couch, all plates was dirty, all cutlery was dirty, 1 knife only.
A lot of hair on the wall shower. I was scared to sleep in the bed.
They bleached the place just before we arrived, it stained my pants.

We were extremely impressed with this hotel. The rooms were bright clean and comfortable. The king size bed was the most comfortable we've been in in a long time. The whole place was just nice and relaxing. I really have nothing bad to say about this place. It amazes me that there are any bad reviews at all. If I have to come up with one negative comment so people will know this is a real review I would say that the bathroom wasn't stocked well with toilet paper but so what. The lady that owns the place was very pleasant and helpful and made us feel very welcome as well. This was the best hotel we stayed at in Pompano Beach and it was the least expensive go figure.

THE WORST PLACE IN POMPANO! The lady owner/manager is a pathological liar (maybe a scammer or con artist), plain and simple. I was lucky enough not to get taken by her because I did some extensive due diligence, but most of the negative reviews which I have read are accurate. If you book a room through a legitimate third party site, you will most likely not get the type of room which you booked and paid for. They double (or multiple) book a room, and then honour whichever is the best booking for them, leaving other guests to either get a much different room than they expected, or no room at all. Also, good luck contacting her by phone. She gave me her cel. Number (it's the only number for the motel), which she rarely answers. When she does answer, she ALWAYS has an excuse why she can't talk at that moment. When you leave a voice message or send a text, she ALWAYS claims that she didn't receive it (when you do end up speaking with her). Either she is completely incompetent at using a phone, or she is a liar. I stayed here in 2017 (and 2016 under different ownership), and I encountered the "double booking" issue in '17 (she did end up giving me a break on the price). This year, when I tried to book directly through her, she promised a great price for the room which I wanted to rent. When I pressured her for confirmation, she never followed through (hence my experience with her "avoidance" techniques).

Total scam hell hole! Absolutely filthy with dead critters under the couch, nasty everything. 30 pictures worth of filth. Threaten the booking agent with a credit card charge back and you will get a refund :)

Very nice owners. Nice place. Quiet they go out of there way to to help people and I will be returning again.

I spent an afternoon and a very nice night with my cute husband. The place is quiet and is close to the sea.

Went here for 4 years and i’m never coming back. They got a new manager and she is terrible. My family and I made a reservation in advance and drove for 2 days to get here. Over the phone they promised us that there would be a room ready for us when we arrive. We got to the spot and the room we reserved was taken by other people. They said there was no room for us and they cannot do anything. It was a hard trip to get here and it was a complete waste of 2 days and my time. Terrible.

As a local resident, it is the perfect stay-cation! The on site manger is VERY nice and friendly. I recommend the Sea Cove to my friends and family from Connecticut!

We used to love going to this place before it was sold to the current owners. Now the place has gone to hell. I reserved and paid for a studio room with two double beds. I got here after hours, picked up my key from the box, and found I was put in a small dirty room with dirty sheets and a blanket that smells like an arm pit! I needed two beds because my son was going to stay with me. He decided to sleep in the car and left his gun with me for safety because there is a creepy guy in the room next to mine. I tried to contact someone, but no one answered or returned my call. I pulled the sheets back and could tell they had already been slept in. The blinds on the window were so broken that they didn't offer me any privacy, so I had to use the smelly blanket to cover the window. My son offered to sleep on the floor, but the carpet is so dirty that I did want him to. In the end, we both opted to sleep in the car since it was too late to get another place. I will never come here again!

The room was clean and was very impress with the service. Its family own and very well care for.

Cheap and comfortable. We rented a studio apartment with two rooms for the price of one. It has kitchen with appliances and kitchen utensils.

The room was dirty came with roaches had no TV or internet could not wait til check out of this hell hole!

I love it here manager and her husband are amazing treat people like family if you want to get way from everyday stress and this the place to come. I will always come back.

"Stayed" if you wanna call it that, Sept. 26 2015. So rude. The lady was racist and called my friend whose Birthday it was the "n" word. All we did was go to our room to change from the beach and the stray cats were running inside. We were trying to get them out and his polish wife just started screaming obscenities and kicking us saying we had 5 cars just leave when we just got there! Never stay here. Rude and no customer service. Plus unsanitary bathroom and not to mention the stray cats who just come in and lay around like they are use to it. Beware.

We are very happy to be here again. We were a little nervous since Sea Cove was sold to new owners but our stay so far has been far tastic. Room clean, we'll maintained and very helpful staff. (Which definately deserve a bonus… management, hint hint)

You can't even have guests here… If you have more than one car, you have to park it at the retail store down the street… I was told to leave the property with my kids when I was hanging out with my friend that is actually staying here… They threatened to kick him out if I did not leave the property with my kids… So I left and walked to my car that I have to park at the Walgreens down the street… I will never book the room here… Also my friend told me that the mom-and-pop that own the place just go into your room to snoop around while you are gone and are not making the bed or replacing linens…

A modest motel. But for this money there is no better location.

We arrived very late but they left a key for us to get into the room. Room was comfortable for a one night stay.

I wish I was smart enough to have read reviews before staying there. The woman who runs the place IS racist and incredibly rude. I had no choice but to stay there as every other place was booked up. The place is roach infested and loud and I was refused clean sheets after finding blood stains on the bed. It was the worst experiance I've ever had. I would never recommend this place nor would I ever stay there again. The woman mumbled racial slurs as I left and I had done nothing wrong and also left the room as I found it. Prior to check out I had multiple knocks on the door and was being yelled at to get out well before check out time. I will be contacting a lawyer shortly.

Very accomodating staff. Beautiful grounds and short walk to beach and Walgreens. Owners are Polish couple that don't speak English very well and can come off as brusk. They don't have much patience for improper behavior which is good if you are looking for quiet accommodations, but bad if you want to have guests.

We always love our stay here! We've come several years now. We will be back!

Owners wife is insane and racist. It was my friends bday and we got a room. Went up there to change out of wet clothes after being at the beach and was screamed at and kicked out for trying to get the stray cats out of my room that kept running in. Do not stay. She called the cops on us saying we had a bunch of guests… if by guests you mean the cats, then sure. Unsanitary and rude.

The problem was the owners have zero social skills, are rude (which I witness another person suffer as I checked in), and racist. After not promising the services they offered to me over the phone, & I expressed my dissatisfaction in a civil matter & checked out 4 hours in my stay, I was called by a racially derogatory word as I left. The room would great and had many amenities such as a refrigerator, stove, even an oven to go along with the microwave and fold out couches, but they had feral cats in the room as we entered. Believe I put a stop payment to my credit card, please spend your money elsewhere, don't suffer.

Good place it's cheap and nice there is no bugs the rooms are nice and there is a pool too there is also cats there to and kittens. It is on the beach a short walk so if your looking for a motel on the beach go the sea cove.

Room full of cockroaches. Walk the food over to the table. Landlords are too frugal to exterminator to hire. You try to get the animals themselves to fight. Which of course is not possible. Rooms smell after Kakerlakengift. Because of the dirty rooms feel the cockroaches also at home. Landlords are not very friendly.

We stayed 2 nights from 9/20/13 to 9/22/13. We loved it. It is an old Florida style motel right on A1A right across from the beach. Standard room was small but clean. The property was like an oasis. Nice pool, lots of trees, plants. Very convenient to restaurants, bars. All within walking distance. We look forward to staying there again! Update. Here we are again at the Sea Cove Resort staying 3 nights this time 10/30/14 till 11/2/14 and we upgraded to a small efficiency with a full kitchen. C'mon. All this for less than $65 a night? Yup! Owners are very accommodating and friendly. This is gonna be a be our regular vacationing spot when on the east coast of Florida.

Owners were very rude! Front office door was locked so when I tried to come around to get into the office thinking there was another way in but evidently there wasnt and both owners rudely belittled my girlfriend and I and treated us as if we were children. Amazing to me that they are still in business.

Had a reservation done almost two weeks prior to arrival (international trip to be more exact) by the owner and she advised me to call a day earlier from the arrival date to confirm the reservation, so I did, but couldn't communicate with the gentlemen who spoke a broken English, and was told to call later to speak with the right person, so I called later at night (11:00 pm) or so and I did, but no one answered, the next morning after arrival called the office again and was treated very badly, poorly, then I arrived there and tried to check in, but she treated me like s***, yelling at me for having called at night and early morning, but was never told their office didn't have extended hours, and I was not supposed to know, I didn't know them before and sincerely I wished I never had! Her complaint was that I woke her up, but it's not my fault that she has her phone # all over the web and on every booking website and sleep with the main hotel phone by her bedside, and no professional in hospitality should treat their customers like that, it's very unprofessional. I'm sorry for her, she only lost a great business opportunity, I am a travel professional, I work with thousands of tourists a year and wanted to try her hotel for its location before referring/bringing my clients there, but not anymore, I would never recommend them to any of my customers, ever. I hope it helps people decide before they buy it! Think twice.

(Single Father with 2 boys) Very happy I chose this hotel over the others I looked at. I got Room 27, the queen suite and was surprised to see the kitchen was stocked with everything inc coffee filters and clean dishes. Big room 2 queens and a couch that was very clean. Nice pool The owners were very nice and even brought us beach towels (that I forgot) Saved a lot with the kitchen and steaks on the grill. Location was perfect. Easy walk across the street to a quite more private area of the beach. (50 yards from the busy more public area) Lifeguard tower right there.
