Great service. Very nice rooms.

Lovely welcome has we arrived today and the rooms are spacious and clean.

Well kept, friendly helpful staff and a complimentary breakfast is a nice touch too.

As always, excellent hotel! Clean and spacious room, breakfast and good service. Let's not forget, the beds are comfortable!

Dennis was amazing! He made sure we had everything we needed and that we were comfortable. He was also very professional. Housekeepping staff were very friendly and did a lovely job tidying up our room!

The breakfast went down the hill. No potatoes, and some frozen omelets offered instead of scrambled eggs. The duvet covers on the beds are pretty worn too. No upgrade for elite hhonors.

The service was very good. The front desk was very polite. I had the two twin bed room. The AC was kinda loud but it wasn't that bad. The breakfast was pretty average, not much selection. Overall pretty good, not much to complain about.

Nice enough hotel. No complaints. Three stars rating not due to hotel. Area is HEAVILY populated by homeless folks. We didn't experience any problems with the one night there but were concerned. This situation seemed to be pretty rampant in most of Santa Cruz. Not sure why but just saying. The city is absolutely beautiful. We were there to visit UCSC.

Great hotel in perfect location right off HWY 1. Not too far from the beach and boardwalk. Great hotel manager, clean rooms and free breakfast.

Perfectly appointed. Room was clean and the staff was friendly and accommodating. Excellent breakfast with lots of variety and coffee/juice available all day. Would’ve been 5 stars except there was no fan in the bathroom-a necessity when rooming with teenage boys!

The Hampton Inn Santa Cruz is in a convenient location, and it was easy to find even late at night. I arrived after midnight, and on arriving, I was greeted by a homeless woman in the parking lot asking for food or money. The hotel is located next to a Denny's, and she didn't seem to be the only homeless person around. The hotel entrance was closed, but I used the intercom located a few feet back from the door to get in. Inside, the hotel was nice & clean. Our room, was a bit noisy. We could hear the traffic from the road, but also noise from guests outside the room. The window faces the Denny's, and the door faces the breakfast area. I didn't mind the noise, but it could be a problem for others. The breakfast buffet was good & clean. The hotel is not cheap, but it's in line with other hotels in the area. The hotel is good, but not great, mostly due to conditions beyond the control of hotel staff.

This is a nice, clean hotel with friendly staff. The room is modern and kept clean with all new looking furniture. The only downside was that there is no indoor hot tub, only small pool, which would have been better served as a big hot tub. Other than that minor complaint, it is a nice place to stay and not too far from the boardwalk (10 minutes)

Excellent accommodations. Breakfasts were fantastic… just what we expected… very reasonably priced for the holiday season.

I have stayed at a few Hampton Inn's, but this by far is the best! The rooms were recently renovated, everything was nicely appointed and well thought out. The location was close to the beach and close to CA 17 & CA 1, which made getting around easy. The staff was beyond friendly the owner actually when out of her way to make my wife and I feel at home and gave us valuable information on restaurants and things to do while we where there. When I return to Santa Cruz, I will be staying there again.

No spa. I got a view of the roof. Nice rooms. Breakfast.

Not sure if it was construction outside or plumbing inside, but it was pretty noisy for a Wednesday morning from 6am to 8am — so we ended up sleeping in and leaving at 11am. We put up the do not disturb sign on the door but removed it when we left. However, maid service did not clean our room. No laundry, no exercise room. They are entirely overpriced for what they charge. Staff was friendly, and apologetic about maid service not cleaning my room.

It's a beautiful place to stay. Staffs are awesome. Breakfast is so nice! Very comfortable beds and inside fun size heated pool.
