The Comfort Inn is located very close to the freeway 17 exit and entrance. The customer service staff was very friendly and helpful. She went out of here way to assist my family. She was very kind. The queen beds are comfortable not to soft or firm with soft and firm pillows. The double queen room was clean and spacious stocked with a refrigerator and microwave. A personal sized coffee maker is stocked with both decaf and regular coffee. The TV included dish Network channels including stars. Breakfast is provided for a few hours in the morning.

Great room and breakfast. I was supposed to get a roll away bed delivered during the day but ended up needing to ask again just before midnight. Thankfully they came through.

We've stayed here twice now and it will be our go-to on future visits to Santa Cruz. The staff were great. The room had all the accommodations we needed. There was plenty of parking. Even the Wi-Fi was surprisingly good.

No coffee maker in room. Breakfast was ok. Room was quiet for the most part. Staff was friendly. Pool needed skimming but otherwise ok.

Pros: big bed, pretty stained glass, big TV Cons: the blackout curtains are like… fake. They don't have a track to close all the way and there's a bright light right outside, at least in my room. We ended up using a blanket and a clip from my keychain to close them somewhat. They are blackout curtains though so that is nice I guess. I just wish they had a full curtain rod. They have sheer curtains and shutters that dont do much. Also the bathroom heater was kinda overwhelming and noisy and the walls are thin so you can hear other bathroom fans and TVs. But reasonably priced room overall good experience. The noise was manageable. Just wish the curtains closed.

Poorly located, old-fashioned rooms, breakfast with no real choice… to avoid.

I booked my room through priceline but due to a new employee working they charged my card the nights room (which was 20 dollars cheaper through them). When I asked if the charge was for incidentals he said… um yes. I went to dinner and questioned why an incidental would be 176.24?

Booked a suite online. Perfect service got the room we wanted it was clean and so comfortable. The front desk clerk was very accommodating and helpful. We will definitely be back. Great job to the management. Housekeepers and front desk help. One thing is that it was raining and I am a smoker. The only spot they had for smoking did not have protection from rain. So if you guys can work on that it will be the perfect get away hotel the best in town.

I just finished a 5 day stay at this Comfort Inn and I must say I was very impressed with this hotel. To start, check-in was at 3 pm, however I didn't arrive till late in the evening. When I got to the hotel, check in was very smooth. The staff were very friendly and kind. I did get a room on the lower level, room 130 to be exact. The room was newly renovated. Our room was very clean. It had a desk, two night stands, a closet, and a dresser that had a built in microwave, fridge, and a TV. The room had everything we needed! The bathroom was very large and spacious as well. Room service was amazing! Every day I received new towels, bed made, and they would take any trash we had. Breakfast was definitely yummy, they had a waffle maker! I did notice during my 5 day stay, they had a large shipment of new appliances and furniture, so I assume they are renovating the rest of the rooms. Parking was easy since I had a compact car, however if anyone has a truck, it could get cramped. Lastly, they did have a pool (which I did not get in since it was a little cold, however it looked like a good pool. ) And they also have a laundry area that guests can use. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone and I would definitely be coming back when visiting Santa Cruz.

Staying at the Comfort Inn was very relaxing and stress free. I reserved online and our room was ready at check in. The rooms are well sized and have a great bed. It's off the free way and close enough to UCSC. The service is very attentive and responsive. I stay here often when I visit SC.

Me and my dad needed a room quick last minute, it was late at night and they got us checked in to a decent room with hot coffee, complimentary soaps, watching cable television within 10 minutes of arrival. Price was excellent, very good value, especially with how quick they were able to accommodate our needs. The man at the front desk was very kind and friendly, room was warm, hot shpwer, and a good selection of breakfast options. This was a very good experience. Thank you, Comfort Inn staff.

Adorable, low cost option hotel in Santa Cruz. The pool is heated and there is a sweet little hot tub. I love the stained glass accents. The staff was friendly and responsive. I plan to stay here when I return with my husband and kids.

It was a reasonable price and very close to downtown as well as it being a clean place.

The hotel was conveniently located in Santa Cruz. I had a great experience. Everything was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Would stay here again for a longer period of time.

It's hard to get to as it is situated at the end of the road going one way. Its right off the freeway, but you have to make a Uturn to get to it. The rooms are nice, but the breakfast does not begin to compare to the variety you get from other Choice Hotels (so I came with expectations). Vegan sausage patties (where is the beef), and NO EGGS. The lady was nice enough, but I felt monitored and uncomfortable so I left with fruit and yogurt. I guess I could stand to lose some weight.

Service was really good and rooms were pretty clean. Only complaint Is the the doors are thin so in the morning you hear everyone that walks by and you hear the carts going by. Other than that, great stay.

Just stayed for a work week at the Plymouth St. Comfort Inn. We paid about $70 for small room for two with two double beds. Parking got tight late in the evening as the hotel was fairly well-booked, most likely due to the reasonable pricing for the accommodations. Room was clean and well maintained. Vanity was part of the main room, with the bathroom housing only the toilet and shower. Nice wood shutters gave the room a homey feel. Standard refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker are available in the rooms, but they also have good hours for the free breakfast which included decent coffee and waffles as well as some basic, fresh fruit, breakfast potatoes with no-meat gravy and meatless sausage patties in addition to the standard variety of danishes, muffins, etc. And cereal, juice, and coffee. All of the employees really are very warm and genial and offered us donuts they brought for themselves. For me, the spa was a nice amenity after long days and too much stress. Evenings were very quiet but the hotel is quite close to town and the Boardwalk if that is your focus. They do try to conserve water so signs are posted that linens and towels are changed every third day unless you request differently. Coffee and water are available in the office all day and, if you’re interested, they offer free copies of USA Today and computers for use of the internet. This hotel was a great option for a comfortable, affordable stay.

Comfort inn is always great and cheap. I can always expect the same standard of quality in every comfort inn I stay in.

Nice place, very quiet and the staff were nice to us. I enjoyed it, close to the beach and to the gas station, markets, fast food restaurants and downtown. I'll be coming back. Thanks.

My two daughters and I thought this was a very nice hotel for the price. The beds are comfortable and the pool is clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The front desk clerk allowed my kids to play in the pool an extra hour free of charge! We highly recommend this place.

I have not yet had the opportunity to stay at this location/hotel however, I wanted to write a review in regards to the customer service I received from the Front Desk Supervisor "Randy" — I really appreciated her going above and beyond to assist me in finding the best possible option in regards to my request and taking a much needed burden off of my plate. Customer Service is KEY and this speaks volumes for the company as a whole. I look forward to staying at this property in the near future and will provide a review as to my experience once I stay… Thanks again Randy for your assistance!

Staff was very friendly and informative. Our room wasn't ready so we got an upgrade when we were perfectly fine waiting. Facility is clean and well kept. Great experience for a very affordable price. Locale is good too, lots of shops and places to eat within walking distance.

Clean rooms. Great service right next to the highway. Ac unit in room can be a little loud.

Being a state employee, I got a great price rate, our room was perfect for a single parent with 3 kids. The room had two showers plus room service was spot on. I am diffinnitly staying here again.

We stayed for one night in Santa Cruz. The inn was fairly nice. The rooms were nice. The room became uncomfortable late at night when the power went out. It was very stuffy without the fan on. Luckily the window opened so we could let in fresh air. Hotel was 10 minutes away by car from the beach which was fine.

Because of the proximity to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, the hotels in the area get a lot of use (and abuse). Despite this fact, the Comfort Inn has decent accommodations and a professional and friendly staff.

I loved by the friendliness of all the people who work at the hotel. The food the cleaning is a place very nice.

The first room we got smelled like smoke despite the room being a non-smoking room that we needed to switch. The second room smelled more like too much cleaning product. The location was rather odd since it was on a one way fork in a road that makes it hard to get in and out. Overall, a so-so place to spend a night.

Good for an overnight stay, breakfast was decent and we had a king bed room with plenty of space.

Didn't even stay at this hotel I only called to inquire about getting my property back that the other comfort inn in town will not return, and when the lady figured out that I had called the wrong comfort inn hung up on me!

If you're with your husband (first weekend away from kids, in years! ) and having a good laugh, you will NOT enjoy. So, if you plan on having adult time OF ANY SORT… THE WALLS ARE TOO THIN! I've never stayed at a hotel that people complain about friendly laughter and TV too loud. Ceiling has mold, bathroom has a faucet that barley works, and jacuzzi is broken. My 5 star goes to STAFF ONLY :) ♡

Comfortable rooms with great mattresses. The hot breakfast is a great amenity and a great way to start the day.

Good place for this price — friendly service, breakfast included, pool and jacuzzi are warm during the day. From hotel to ocean is 20 minutes afoot. If you don't have a car 17 bus stop to San Hose in 200 meters. Cons: at night I heard my neighbors very good.

The staff was helpful and friendly! The breakfast was good and filling. The rooms were nice and clean. The pool was warm like the website stated! We had a great stay!
