I had to evacuate my home in Sonoma County and this was the only place that had a room to take me and my pets. I paid a $100 deposit to have my animals there. When I got to my room, the door was already open and the bed wasn’t made. There was only hand towels and no soap. I decided to just suck it up and be grateful I had a room. After I loaded up all of my belongings in the car and did a quick once over of the room to make sure I didn’t leave anything, I walked my dog to a far portion of their parking lot to let my dog relieve himself. An employee came running up to me yelling at me that it wasn’t a pet friendly hotel anymore and he made the assumption that “I wasn’t prepared to pick up after the dog” when I have dog poop bags in my pocket and they can review their security tapes of me picking up after my dog, an animal I paid a deposit for, all three days I stayed there. If you want a dirty room and to be treated like crap, then this is your place!

Not really convenient. Check in staff — barely moved. Mumbled answers and directed us to
IHOP across the street — this at about 9.30ish in the evening. Rooms are okay. Recommend trying another option if you want to be treated with some dignity.

I was extremely disappointed in my stay here. I was checking in with my son, who had a separate reservation. The desk clerk could not find the reservation in the computer. She offered no suggestion or help in any way. She just kept repeating that she could not find the reservation. I asked if they had any vacancies, she said yes. I said why not just book him as a new customer. She just looked at me, but did nothing to resolve the problem. Finally someone from management came out and resolved the problem by finding the reservation. It took about 20 minutes to check in.
My wife and I returned to our room late the second day, took a shower only to find that that were NO towels in the room. We used the wash cloths to dry off. When checking out, I complained, only to be told by the same incomplete clerk, "well, you should have called housekeeping. " No apology. I told her that the problem was no discovered until after the the shower. She kept repeating, "you should have called. " Again, no apology or any other suggestion. Not a good track record.

Excellent hotel, very clean and very good services.

The plus is that the rooms and hotel have been beautifully renovated. However, there’s no fridge or microwave in the room. It’s small, especially the shower and toilet area. Some of the furniture already had chips in it with no attempt to repair. The mattress is extremely uncomfortable… it’s hard, creaks every time you move, and provides no support whatsoever.

We invite the corporate owners/managers to stay 2-3 nights here. This is the stay; no radio/alarm clock, no continental breakfast, no microwave or fridge, no closet, no bath towel rack. They will enjoy the HARD bed which the floor is more comfortable but filthy and pillows that feel like used mattress pads folded up. Enjoy!

This hotel is quite interesting in its layout. It's sort of like a hotel and motel at the same time. In the centre is a closed off outdoor section that's basically a small green space for the people to go to. I was in a room that was separated from the main building a few hundred metres away but that's not a big deal. The lobby and rooms are all pretty clean and you get a good deal for the price. This place has a small gym, but no computer room.

Really pleased with this hotel, was not expecting it to be nice for the price! Room looked exactly as it did on line, clean white linens, simple, spacious, comfortable room, bathroom very clean and well stocked. Reception was super nice, offered menus for local eateries. Had a couple of special requests (ground floor with roll-in shower, two rooms very near each other) and arrived to find exactly that, no glitches. Neighborhood was quiet and felt safe. Only thing I'd change is bed could have been a little more comfortable, but it was still ok. Complaints I read online had me a bit uncertain, but the reservation clerk was upfront, told me the gound floor rooms were renovated, they are working on the upstairs, the pool is being worked on, and they no longer offer breakfast, so didn't have any issues with those things. I think several travel sites have old info, so that might be the problem. The hotel's website seems 100% accurate. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Friendly staff at the front desk and cleaning staff. A lot of the rooms have been renovated and are clean and nice. Enjoyed the layout of the hotel room, you can drive up to your room before parking and unload your vehicle. Very easy to have food delivered directly to the room from outside delivery. Will definitely stay here again on my next trip to San Francisco.

Location is ideal. The experience was great. Mention must be made of the kind and pleasant staff at Park Pointe. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel in that general area. Thanks for helping to make my vacation a pleasant one.

The rooms are nothing like the pictures on the web sites. Very disappointing! Very old, and not maintained at all. The bedding and linens are extremely low quality. Old lighting fixtures, not enough wall outlets. We had an extension cord to plug in our phones. The TV was the smallest TV I've ever seen. I would not ever recommend this hotel, to anyone, ever!

Not a very cozy place to stay. You'll hear planes at all hours flying overhead (to be expected though if you're wanting to be close to the airport). Some rooms are located a long ways back on the premises that you feel kinda disconnected from the hotel a bit. Eateries are hard to get to nearby with so much traffic that you're forced to eat the Chinese Buffet attached to the hotel. The restroom is small and the shower head is not meant for tall folks. Was at my neck basically cause I'm 6 ft tall. Beds were hard and itchy. TV had static and very few channels. I was not impressed. Very helpful with shuttle service to and from the airport but the hotel was not good at all.

Their "renovated" room had a multitude of issues: the wall holding up the window and air-conditioning unit was an unfinished — yet painted — plywood without an inner wall or insulation. The toilet handle fell off when I tried to use it, there was mold in the shower, and the door wouldn't close entirely all the way due to lack of weather barrier, so I had to chalk a chair covered in stuff in the front; subsequently, a person could walk up with a screwdriver and pry the door open with little effort, and this area isn't exactly respectable either. You think you're getting a deal in San Francisco, but you're actually getting taken. Avoid at all costs, and just pay for a nice room somewhere else. The manager lady is abysmal to work with as well. Her fix was to offer me a different renovated room, which is what I was in, and to refund the day I paid for that I was not going to stay after sleeping only 4 hours. When I requested a partial discount after some conversation, she got frustrated and threaten to call the police. Terrible way to start a vacation. Truly, a nightmare of a hotel.

As a frequent traveler, Park Pointe was everything I needed it to be. I have stayed with them on two different occasions, each for multiple nights. Rooms were affordable, and very clean. Location is very convenient, as I like walking and was easily able to walk the 1.4 miles from my room to the San Bruno BART station, and take that into the city. You're also 2.4 miles from SFO for those flying. I plan on booking here again.

Horrible. Booked on Hotwire with a gorgeous photo of a room. Outdoor photos were nice as well. Pulled into a parking lot that didn’t resemble the photo. The lobby did look like the photo, though. Check in was quick and receptionist was nice. Went to room to a complete disappointment. The room wasn’t remodeled and not taken care of. My daughter and I spent 5 minutes in the room finding someplace to eat. The door rattled the entire time because it didn’t close properly. After dinner we went back to the hotel and decide what to do. We left after politely asking for a room change and was told we booked a standard room. The photo on my order was a modern room. Thankfully, we live close enough to drive home… but thanks for ending our weekend.

Nice and cozy places, lots of parking, buffet next door, cool dog park, close to restaurants and gas stations. Not here to live, just sleep. This place does it's job. I recommend this place if you have pets. No pool, but the bay is just 5 minutes away.

The place was clean and safe. Their shuttle from the airport does not run all night. I was locked out of my room for the longest time because their keys had issues and the only person person who could fix this was a manager who was not on hotel premises at the time. Breakfast is served from 8am to 10am. Cereal, coffee, tea, juice, eggo waffles is what was served. The airport shuttle runs till 11:30am in the mornings. Pool was drained and non functioning.

Clean rooms but the entrance is weird. There is the street and you get in to your room without crossing to a reception and corridors and any hall. It could be normal in USA but to be honest, I prefer hotels that have an indoor corridor and halls, not to go to your room directly from the street.

Nice updated rooms. No towel racks in bathroom tho. Very comfortable and quiet, would recommend this place.

Non-smoking room … definitely a smoking room. The beds felt like deflated water beds and stale popcorn covered by a sheet. We ended up not even staying the night my toddler left with a full body rash. They had 4 TV channels that were fuzzy. With brand new TVs that said Netflix was available — ya, that’s a hard NOPE. Swimming anyone? Forget about that too. We were duped by false adverting.

Rooms are clean and seems to be recently remodelled. Staff are friendly and helpful. But not much going on within walking distance, except a gas station convenient store. Have to drive a little far to get some decent food.

The standard "like in the movies" American hotel with a condue under the window and parking in front of the entrance to the room. Unpleasantly surprised barely breathing vibe. And this is a stone's throw from the global citadel of the IT industry — Silicon Valley! To be honest, wherever you spent the night in the SHA, the speed of access to the Network was not happy. But here is something outstanding with a "minus" sign. We arrived almost at night. There were no problems with the settlement. But with "dinner" questions arose. Only McDuck was found nearby. Yes, such nitty-gritty poppies in Russia have not been seen anywhere. It's really a shingly. But amid the positive emotions from travel on a good car in California, this misunderstanding was perceived as a minor inconvenience, no more.

We weren't expecting much, just staying the night before boarding a flight. Staff was friendly, and the airport shuttle was convenient. However, the room was not very nice at all. There were loud trucks idling outside our thin walls well into the night. The shower was cold. The bed was hard. We were not impressed with this place.

Great for a short stay. I've stayed here a few times. Good value. Convenient location. Clean and very maintained bathroom. Lots of electrical outlets. Good A/C & heat. Good bed and linens. Ample lighting but if you're checking in at night bring a flashlight or use your phone flashlight because you will walk into a dark room. There are no wall light switches near the entrance of the room. Lamps and reading lamps are turned on at their locations. Good bathroom lighting. Good amount of storage for clothes and luggage. Small but functional seating and desk/work area. Good blackout shades. I've had better rooms at this location for the same economical price. Not all rooms at the same price level are the same. The staff is great and very accommodating. Good stay.

It's very convenient for traveling through SFO, but it can be very noisy.

Renovated hotel. It's pretty nice and gives you the basics as well. TV is a little dated but at least it's free TV!

I stayed only one night but the hotel was clean and cheap. Very close to the Sgo airport also.

I'd give it three stars. Firstly the courtesy shuttle may drive past you and your forced to wait another half hour. He may stop right down the start of the pick up zone so do not stay in the shelter or you won't travel. Hotel is ok. It's comfortable. Close to the station. Staff are friendly.

Park pointe is a decent hotel. Updated as well as any other older place. But the staff I find them all, except the breakfast lady, to be very rude. They all think that they are better than, they're all very stand off ish. And they don't want you to use their lobby area while waiting for friends to arrive. They'd rather you wait outside untill the rest off your party arrives. Guess they would rather use the sitting areas for them selfves.

I honestly loved it. I was a bit disappointed after reading the reviews on here, but those aren't the real deal. It was really comfortable and close to the airport. The only reason it isn't five stars is because the staffs we're really mean and rude. But if you can look beyond that, you're good to go.

They were renovating rooms when I stayed, I was in one of the unrenovated rooms. It's a solid 2.5 start hotel. Staff were friendly, location is closed to the airport and downtown, and prices are affordable which is why I selected this hotel. Other than that there's nothing special to note.

The best thing I can say about this place is it had a shuttle bus to the airport. It's a budget motel on a busy freeway. Don't eat in the restaurant, the food is terrible.

Older property updated nicely. Clean rooms, decent Continental breakfast along with a good staff.

The internet is so slow that it was pretty much unusable. The breakfast was a carb load but it was something. Rooms had some slight remodeling but all cosmetic.

The hotel is decent. I stayed here for 6 nights and 5 days due to construction to my apartment. I'd say microwave need improvements, need more TV channel lineup, and better Wi-Fi. I'm a college students who needs Wi-Fi for homework but this is really slow. I'd say this hotel is good if your just down to visit the bay area as a tourist and do more travelling than staying in a hotel.

Been staying here for the past several years while passing through San Francisco when the hotel was named Citigarden. Last year toilet was clogged. This year there was no hot water, a hole in the wall, and pack of cigarettes on the floor upon entry. When I asked for a set of towels, concierge said they would bring them to me in 30 minutes. Seriously is it that hard to get a set of towels? Things I look forward to when staying in a hotel is a clean bathroom, hot shower, clean bed, and peaceful night's sleep. Shower has a restricter on it preventing guests from having a hot shower and when others in the hotel are showering the water is cold. Amenities haven't changed throughout the years and I am thankful for a peaceful night's sleep, but seriously wish they would get their act together. For $130/night it's not worth it.

I've never seen a better bait and switch. The website looks fantastic, but don't let the pretty lighting and photos of updated rooms fool you, this place is a complete dump. The door looks like someone kicked it in and has wood splinters all over… which of course means that they did not vacuum before we arrived. Furniture in the room is old and stained. The linens are dismal at best. Like many others have complained, there is no working Wi-Fi. Called the front desk and asked for one of the updated rooms and was told that they had overbooked the hotel. Based on the desert of a parking lot, I find that really hard to believe. I have a feeling they renovated a room or two, invested in a nice new website and take in the cash from the bait and switch. Looks like the owner/manager responds to messages, but doesn't say much else other than promoting the updated rooms and asking people to come back. If I could give it less than one star, I would.

Update — Subtracting another star for the sharp 500% increase in parking costs. (5 times the original rate! ) More on that in a bit. People smoke outside their rooms, and the stench comes right into the room, because there is a gap around the door. You can hear the freeway, and smell the cigarette smoke thru the door gaps. Had to stuff laundry against the bottom of my door to keep the smell out. (True in all 3 rooms I've stayed in) Only one ice machine out of three that I found works at all. First time I parked here, they charged me $5 a day over the weekend. FANTASTIC, right? 2nd time I parked here, they charged me $10 a day over the weekend. Still great… But for this weekend, the receptionist doesnt know and has to call someone to ask what to charge me, and turns out they wanted to charge me $25 a day! $75 a weekend? Hah hah ha, what an insult… that's way more expensive than SkyPark,, and way more expensive than Park SFO. (SkyPark has a shuttle about every 5 minutes, so does Park SFO, not every 30 minutes) Why would anyone want to pay way more than the going commercial rate to park here? SkyPark charges me $46 for the weekend. There was this really nice lady who set parking charges, the first two times. But this last time, there was some telephone consultation about it, and it was so drastically inconsistent from the first two times. I won't park here anymore at all now, they priced themselves right out of the market. There's no guide on the cable.

Very clean rooms and the shuttle in the morning was very convenient to get to my flight at the SFO airport on time!

Front lobby updated to look nice, but the back end is dated, cinderblock rooms. It looks like it is being remodeled currently (2017). Rooms are clean enough and yhere is an airport shuttle. Needs patch and tuck work on the masonry, asphalt, and walkways. Needs paint work on stairs and railings. Needs plumbing work throughout.

Pros — clean, friendly, price reasonable, has great potential and they seem to be working on it. I rather a hotel who's emoloyees strive for a good name. Rather than a popular name who's employees work ethics ride on the name. Cons — hotel doors are open to outside… smelled pot 3 times for 5 min duration. That's a serious turnoff to a place for someone like me. You want to do it fine. But I don't want to smell it. While I'm taking a bath or trying to sleep and have to wake up at 4 am… come on! Hits you in the face like a brick! Anyway. It is outdated on the outside, rooms are updated and small, hotel lobby and restaurant have that older smell, (could be due to the restaurant being connected), beds are firm but clean, when neighbor shuts door the glass in the light fixture above sink shake! And you can hear everything going on outside (detailed conversation, traffic, planes). I'm ok with traffic and planes. But not talking since I was in the bath and thought hubby was talking to me. It serves it purpose and the hotel isn't to blame for the biggest complaint, inconsiderate people are! So if you don't mind the 50% chance of smelling weed or the other cons then this is the place for you!

Really nice little hotel. Reminded me of nice places I've stayed in other countries… something different than the usual Marriott feel of US hotels! Nia at the Front Desk was super helpful even though I checked in very late at night and the airline's travel agent had messed up my reservation. Will stay here again.

Hotel with good value for money. Too bad it's a little too far from downtown. The breakfast included in the room rate (c is a self service. We can use it at will, many choices and very good). The staff at the hotel is nice.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the value for the money. The room was super clean. The staff were extremely attentive, pleasant, and helpful. Free shuttle 20 hours per day. The breakfast is by far the best I've ever had at any hotel. I would strongly dissuade anyone from the attached buffet place.

My stay here was horrible! The people next door kept waking me up. Security was pounding on their door several times throughout the night finally 4am I was able to muster enough energy to move to another room. Then after I took a shower the blow dryer didn't work. I had to wait 25 minutes to get another one, by that time I was late to my business meeting, which defeated the whole purpose of a hotel stay one hour from my home. I travel quite a bit for work, and this was by far the worse experience I've had in years. I spoke to the manager, his number for one five six 0 eight two 4 five 0, the next day because their manager unfortunately doesn't answer 24 hours. I explained my experience and how tired I was and basically nothing wasdone. No credit and nothing compensated! I will NOT be back and I would think twice about staying here, if you sleep like a rock then you may be in luck! I'm giving two stars based on the nice staff, comfy beds and clean rooms.

Beautiful loby and garden courtyard. The room was clean and cozy, Did have problems with vending machines. Free breakfast. Great service. Great value for price.

4 stars as in you get what you pay for. Room was clean. Shuttle to airport was fine. Free breakfast was lacking but there. All in all it could be better but its a solid price.

These pics on here are fake or position to look a like this. People walk around all night, smoking, and talking and the very very back is the WORST had to be moved twice because of noise.

I stayed at this hotel for one night. No towels in the room. Brought them when I called. Otherwise okay — not luxurious, but clean and adequate. But when I called the next week and asked to get an emailed receipt of the bill, I was told the email had been down for a month and they couldn't do it and didn't know when we they could. So I asked to have a hard copy mailed to me. The clerk said "I don't know if we can do that". Somewhat exasperated at this point, I told her how — print it, put it in an envelope with a stamp, mail it. She got quite snippy back. Really? 2014 and I can't get a copy of the receipt mailed or emailed? Fail.

This hotel's funny! I booked 2 rooms online and the next day I called in to make sure they will at least have one room with double queen beds. The lady on the phone told me I need to pay $115 for upgrade! yes, you hear it right, $115, almost the same price to book one more room. Then I went online again and checked their online rate, the upgrade's only $10. What's going on.

This place is gorgeous especially the front lobby, fireplace, nice seating area, very clean! Great rates, with no reservations for a huge room ONLY $99. ✈♿ I was very impressed! This will be the place we stay at in San Francisco.

I got a room here as suggested by United for my blind mother in law when she was stranded at SFO in the middle of the night. When she arrived, the receptionist would not let me pay for her room over the phone! What century are we in? Most hotels ONLY book over the phone. The receptionist was a stubborn jerk and wouldn't even let me scan and send a copy of my card and ID to secure the transaction. He insisted that he could only take cards in person. If this was my hotel, I'd want to make the most of the situation and gain clients for future trips, not piss them off so they never come back. As a business owner myself, I know there are plenty of ways to securely take a credit card over the phone. There is no logical explanation as to why any hotel would not let someone book and pay that way, especially in this day and age. If their booking service is that outdated, I don't even want to know how outdated the actual hotel is. Don't support this business. They are jerks.
