Days Inn San Francisco at the Beach

Clean, pleasant. Wi-Fi works good now.

Room was large but older looking. Had a kitchen with a stove top, 2 microwaves because the built in didn't work. Beds we're comfortable. Location was beyond perfect. Close walk to the beach and close to some good restaurants. Service was okay. Breakfast was minimal. There is construction going on so expect banging and sawing during the day hours. Location was perfect but the rest left something to be desired.

We stayed here on vacay — it was clean and decent would recommend on a budget! NEIGHBORS DID HAVE A DOG. So not all five starts.

This hotel is now called the Mirage Inn & Suites. It is under renovation and the Wi-Fi and cell service are pretty bad right now. The renovated room was very nice though.

The amenities in the room we're top notch! The "Continental breakfast" left a little to be desired. Luckily, George's Zoo next door had an unexpectedly great breakfast menu.

Pretty ok place. Clean enough but not fancy. Nothing more then you would expect from this type of hotel.

Room was smelly, not working lights and hardly any light at all and just made you feel dirty when you walked in. Shower curtain rod was busted so showering without soaking the bathroom proved difficult. Continental breakfast was toast and orange juice in a hallway. Worst part was the staff. We booked a room for about $350/night for 3 nights for 5 adults and 3 children. We had 7 adults on the first night and had no issue. The second night, we were very aggressively accosted by staff in the middle of the night with threats to call the police if we had any more than 5 people in the room. They watched us on cameras in the hall and knew how many people were in there. Since we didn't want to wait for police to come wake us up in the middle of the night or deal with the staff any more, two of our guests had to go outside and sleep in their car all night. We were then informed that we had been charged an extra $200 since we had an extra guest the first night. Never a warning or a chance to talk about it. When attempting to talk to the manager he constantly kept trying to close the window in our face. Have never been treated so poorly. On our final morning, no late checkout so we got packed up and lined up were ready to leave the room before 11am. We were watching a show that was supposed to end at 11am. We grabbed our bags and headed to the door at 10:59am.

Nice, clean, remodeled rooms w/all expected ammenities, except eating on premises. Rates seem high — but location is excellent, beach is 1 block away, zoo across the street, VA hospital/clinic within blocks. No elevator (s) for 3 story motel.

Nice big clean comfortable rooms and friendly staff. So easy to find and check into and across the street from the Zoo and just around the corner from the ocean. Very reasonably priced.

Room was spacious but kitchenette not working. Hairdryer not working. Got replacement. Very comfortable beds. Breakfast served in a very small and tight spot and not the greatest, coffee and OJ from machine. In San Francisco, you get your money's worth here since every place is so pricey.

For maximum relaxation from the hustle and bustle. It's cool.

Not a 3 star hotel… more like a motel… old oak and drab color … funny smell… could have paid just a few dollars more to go up the street to nicer place… Room was clean and staff was nice … I'm trying to positive…

Staff are very friendly. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable. Our stay has been great. Only downside is the meager offering for breakfast, but I'd rather have a comfy bed than a great breakfast. Would totally stay here again.

Worst experience getting a room late night, quoted one price over phone and another in person. The room was so old and disgusting smelling, stale, faint smell of smoke. The door entrance dinged badly, the bathroom had poorly patched spots, only extremely hot water or cold, even though I lot the strong in the middle for over 3 minutes. The the place is run by a family who only gave excuses abs tried too tell me how I should Hebrew called them right then, while I was butt naked and not afterwards. They didn't bother to offer you a credit, which let's you know customer service non existant. The fall extremely short representative days inn. Way overpriced for what you get. Bottom of the barrel in run down motels. Will never ever stay there again. Only the narrow halfway lobby looked updated, everything else is sub-standard.

Room was small, but nice. Wi-Fi was pretty great for video streaming. The complementary "breakfast" was literally a platter of bread and Costco pastries. Other than that, nothing too bad. Overall, it's not a bad hotel.

In short, this is an overpriced 2 star hotel. We stayed on the ground floor. The room was nicer than Motel 6, but not $200/night nicer. Neighbors doors could be heard closing. Upstairs neighbors sounded lime a herd of elephants. Parking is bizarre, being underground and not well lit, plus no elevator from the bottom. For the money, you might expect more than plastic-wrapped grocery store danishes, bad coffee, apple and orange juices, toast, and apples and oranges. Maybe should have cereal, cocoa, more fruit options, yogurts, bagels, etc. Half the electrical plugs wouldn't hold the pins for our phone chargers amd the plugs are difficult to get to. No pool. On the plus side, it's four blocks from the beach and across the street from the San Francisco Zoo and just a couple miles to the VA Medical Center. The beds aren't high end, but they are relatively comfortable. It's probably worth $100/night, but that's it.

Good location. Free parking. Hotel was one of the cheaper ones available. Bathroom was sizeable. Room was nice and clean. Room was also up to date with settings. Would recommend.

Location was nice, parking was easy. Easy to uber to some nice bars cheaply. Room was plain and the service was quick.

Never realized how nasty a room can get until you walk in this hotels room and find other girls hairs In your bed an awful smell and the hall smelling like weed. Pricy low star hotel is not worth it… DO NOT STAY HERE.

Good price for being in SF and the location was convenient for me. We stayed for 4 nights during our trip to visit family and partake in the tourism. Our favorite thing about this hotel was the tiny underground parking garage. It is by no means secure (locking/gate) but it's really convenient since most of the streets have weird day/hour restrictions. Since it's a small hotel the complementary Wi-Fi was great for watching our video streaming devices before bed. The complimentary breakfast is kind of a joke. There was apples, oranges, wheat bread for toast, cheap tiny highly processed sweet breakfast pastries, coffee and apple juice available. There are lots of good restaraunts in the area that offer great breakfast and coffee. Java Beach next door is a nice little hotspot anytime of day. The room was seemingly clean but the carpet had lots of stains and weird spots. I couldn't ever tell if the AC actually worked or not. Luckily we are used to hearing traffic through the window. Overall not the worst place I've stayed and I'd stay again if not given a better option for the same price.

The room for the four of us was huge and relaxing. Not the fanciest place, but comfortable. Best part is the location. Zoo, great cafe and the beach are all right down the street. Would stay here again.

Days Inn 2600 Sloat Blvd San Francisco, CA 94116 It spoiled my travel. HORRIBLE experience ever. It's really mysterious! How could people give this avg. 3.8 stars? I have never written Reviews on any websites in my life. But I should do it for this Inn. 1. Room Clean condition : When my family entered into the rooms, It smells disgusting. Throat and noses got super sore as soon as opening the room doors. It was a dust heaven. We couldn't walk on the carpet thanks for dusts. Our noses and throats were so painful. Windows and Screens are Holy SH*T. The building is very old and outworn (Not classic) and no elevator for upstairs room. and, It is right on a street passing a lot of vehicles and very poor soundproofing. If you are not a heavily deep sleeper, many vehicles passing your room wake you up many times over night! 2. Towels : If you like smelling Chemistry, that is yours! they looked like rinsing just 1 time to save $$ on a water bill. And towels are not white but some stained and a hair in the towel. 3. Bed sheets : no difference from towels. 4. Mattress : When did they changed it? 20 yrs ago? or they bought them used ones 15 yrs ago? 5. Parking space : If you have a junk car and if you don't care for your car broken, this Inn is yours. Parking lot is basement and so narrow each units and much lack of spaces comparing to rooms and My expensive SUV side view mirror broken and It costs me $624 to replace.

OMG They have penguins and baby giraffe. I could spend the whole day there. They have many animals and it's nice and clean.

Decent, clean hotel, but if you're here for the downtown attractions (Pier 39, Fisherman's Wharf, etc) it's a little out of the way. Hotel is small, breakfast consisted of toast, juice and pre-packaged vending machine danish. Pizza place next door was just OK. It's called "At the Beach", but why would you ever go to the beach in SF? Too cold. Next time I would stay closer to downtown.

Perfect location in regards to the zoo and the beach. Not the plush experience but a good one nonetheless. Meager breakfast offerings but Java Beach Cafe next door has you covered. Pasquale's pizza was great and just next door. George's Zoo next door was a lifesaver as well with a deli and a ton of variety with beverages. Great stay for the money and I will be back next time I stay in SF.

Friedly hotel, with good value. Location is only 10 min. From downtown (car you need anyhow) and walking distance to the beach. Golden Gate also 10 min. Rooms are clean and cosy. Clean bed and bathroom. Quick Wifi access and parking, all free. Yard side rooms are very quiet! So, actually 3, 5 *, better then some 4* hotels. Very recommendable xD.
