Thank you for the welcome, great location to visit the city located in the center and the Italian quarter the most beautiful quiet and quaint of the city very nice staff… Only sin the bad smell of the carpet… Recommended❤❤

Comfortable and quiet hotel with a delightfully retro atmosphere. Too bad it's hard to park around.
In the evening a small glass of brandy is offered, which is nice after a walk in the city.
The area is quiet and for breakfast Mama's is very close.

Lovely clean small Sun hotel, the only problem is the noise but that's what you get from being in the city.

Great location! Just steps away to Chinatown, Italian cafes and restaurants. Walked back from Union Square with very little effort. The room is cozy and the decor reminiscent of a fin-de-siecle artiste room. But no aircon though (just open the window). Also, small entrance leading directly to stairs, so beware if you have heavy luggage. Free sherry cordial at 6PM, nice little touch.

Nice and cozy place. Great homey atmosphere. Old school 3 star hotel, I love these. Kind staff and perfect location. Ask for a quite room in the back if you are a light sleeper.

LOVE Hotel Boheme! We've stayed here several times over several years. Hotel Boheme is the place to stay in North Beach. Central location gives guests easy walking to all that North Beach has to offer. Rooms are super clean. The atmosphere inside is peaceful, artistic, colorful. Rooms facing Columbus Street offer views that remind me of what a Bohemian city this part of San Francisco was back in the day. Rooms facing the interior of the hotel are pretty much a blank slate. Staff at Hotel Boheme are professional and knowledge about the area. Early evening they put out a bottle of Sherry with glasses for quests. No charge.

Cheap but not particularly cheerful. Tired building and rooms with a TV the size of a postage stamp. Bed bugs too which is never fun. The location is great though.

This was the first place me and my wife stayed on our honeymoon. Very cool rooms and atmosphere to the whole place. It was so calming and relaxing even though there's a busy city going on outside your window. Would definitely like to revisit someday.

We loved this hotel. The focus here is on good beds, comfortable, clean and stylish rooms, and location location location! Right in the heart of North Beach with live music all around, and Stella Bakery downstairs. Do yourself a favor and eat dinner at Sodini's while you are there.

Great hotel! Wonderful location, North Beach, unique San Francisco experience. Rooms are small (but that is to be expected), decor is unique and funky, everything is retro, or ironically retro, still the bed is very, very comfortable, as are the other amenities. All around it, great very special restaurants and cafes and shops. Walking distance to Teatro Fugazzi. Free cream sherry in the evening. Loved my stay there.

This hotel is in my favourite San Francisco neighborhood. Lots of great italian restaurants and cafes, and just down the street from City Lights Book Store. The hotel staff is very friendly. The hotel itself is very clean and has a great decor, not at all like what you normally get in a newer boring chain. High ceilings, subway tiled bathrooms and bay windows were great details that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Decently priced and nice enough hotel. Clean, comfortable bed, no AC though. Cheap for San Francisco so on that basis gave it 4 stars as value for money. In any other city would have been 3.

I really loved this hotel, it was classic and charming and surprisingly comfortable. They lay out a bottle of creme Sherry every night which makes for a great nightcap. The hotel is located in North Beach, in the heart of little Italy so there is plenty of nightlife and restaurants.

We loved staying here! The perfect, cute (and a tad quirky) hotel for visiting Sf. We absolutely loved the location, close to so many great restaurants and coffee shops. The staff was wonderful, friendly and super helpful. The room was on the small side, but plenty of room for SF. We would stay here again in a heart beat!

Love this old fashioned, neighborhood style boutique hotel! Rooms are small but cozy, the reception is very friendly & the location is just perfect. Love the area, plenty of good restaurants & boutique stores! Worth going & the price is more than fine for San Francisco.

This place is in a great great location. Basically next to little Italy and Chinatown. So that means tons of good food! Price is reasonable too! The room is small… but hey it's San Francisco so you should be out and about! Would definitely stay there again when we come back!

Amazing older, smaller hotel tucked away in Little Italy/ edge of North Beach area. Staff are wonderful, rooms are quaint. Hotel is blast from past. Small entrance can be difficult to find. Sherry cordial before bed. No AC or heat, but just fine. Hope this stats around forever!

After a long flight, this hotel was just what the Doctor ordered. Clean and cute. Our room overlooked Columbus Avenue. From a window table we enjoyed complimentary cream sherry with our fresh cannoli. A block from Washington Square Park and views of Coit Tower, Transamerica Pyramid, St. Peter & Paul's. The hotel recommended Sotto Marre for dinner and it was fantastic. Go early because there is a line. You can wait next door at Columbus Cafe and have an awesome fresh squeezed greyhound. Just wonderful.

Great location but the downside of that was if you are overlooking Main Street a little noisy … No tea making facilities and no good if you don't like stairs as no lift … But they do mention this anyway so knew before hand. Very helpful staff and a lovely feel about the place not soulless as often the big chains.

This is a charming hotel with lovely and helpful staff. The rooms and bathrooms are small but full of character and the hotel has lots of history. You can do so many things in the neighborhood, walk up to Coit Tower for fabulous views, eat pizza at Nicks, breakfast at Mo's and visit the remarkable shrine to St. Francis (it's a copy of one in Assisi) right on the block. We enjoyed a lovely al fresco meal and breakfast right downstairs from the hotel. The City Light Book Store is on the same block. You get the full, rich flavor of San Francisco if you are looking to relish the city. And the staff will help you book a tour to wine country or Muir Woods if you want to expand your horizons. Don't rent a car, San Francisco is an amazingly walkable city (I miss it already! )

Adorable, spotless room. Romantic! Loved all of the hanging pics of days gone by! Helpful friendly staff. EASY parking at a garage a block away. The heart of "Little Italy" so restaurants are plentiful. A block from Beach Blanket Babylon, 3 easy walked blocks to China Town and Broadway, great for an evening stroll and an organic, non gmo popcorn shop within walking distance too! We didn't use our car the whole time we were there! Try to get a room in front so you can people watch and listen to the street musicians through your window in the evening… Awesome place, just writing this makes me want to go back for another visit. I visit San Francisco frequently and for over night stays I've definitely found a new favorite.

Rooms are advertised as small and cozy, they are small and dated, i. E. Plumbing, etc. This hotel does not provide confirmation (including email) for out-of-town clients. Requests are just written down in a book. Beware of their cancellation policy, which they do not provide in writing. Most hotels require a client to initial as to lock you into their company policy. 48 hour cancellation is not normal — beware. Rooms face a main street and can be noisy. Policies should be updated as much as the hotel.
