Unique cute boutique hotel lovely location nice little things like cheese and wine every afternoon.

Excellent position on North Beach, in the Italian quarter of San Francisco, within walking distance of Fisherman's wharf, Lombard Street and Coit Tower, and very near China Town. A quirky little guest house with all the comforts and an additional extra — they offer complimentary wine and nibbles to their guests at 5pm — 6.30pm daily. Decadent!

Beautiful interior decoration and extremely friendly staff, felt like I was having drinks with an old friend talking to the bartender.

My wife and I had a wonderful time and looked forward to the 5 O'Clock wine time. However we were not able to watch fox news only cnn it's too bad that San Francisco cenisor what you hear and see what are they afraid of?

Very well located in San Francisco. Walking distance to wharf and Chinatown and other attractions. Rooms are very small but breakfast was wonderful.

Wow Excellent Hotel. Excellent Experience. We loved everything about this hotel. The reception in the afternoon was excellent. The stay was excellent, the breakfast was excellent. Wow what a Great Place. The staff we encountered were all Super Friendly and professional. Great job.

Stayed one night in this lovely B&B in the heart of North Beach. Very nice accommodations, small European style but nicely done. I got there just in time for the wine and cheese at 5, which was well done. Rather a minimalist continental breakfast, croissants,, boiled eggs, and toast with jam, but all fresh and tasty. Besides, there must be 30 restaurants in walking distance, mainly Italian but some nice bakeries as well. A very nice place to spend the night.

The room was nice and breakfast was good. It's pretty cool that they have hors d'oeuvres in the evening.

Cozy, great location. Simple and clean. My (private) bathroom was across the hall and required a key. I didn't mind but I suppose some might.

Booked a twin room for 2 males was given a double Room 1 which was right next to the road they dumped a folding bed in the room the fan keep us awake most of the night because the blade was hitting the light (to hot to turn off) we showed them our confirmation of the booking but they where not interested. A 70 year old man expected to sleep on a folding bed absolutely disgusting. We expected at least the Manager to be there when we checked out to offer some sort of explanation NO SHOW.

I can't even begin to put into word my disappointment and the lack of service received from this hotel and I haven't even stayed here.
They 'overbooked' the hotel and since have cancelled my booking but have not suggested any alternative… but of course "they understand my frustration". They said they would call me, but can't dial my international number?! Poor at best!

We stayed at Washinton Square inn last week. It was a wonderful experience. When we arrived at the hotel, we were greedted by Gavi. She checked us in and informed us of hotel amanties, neighbourhood and parking options. She was very helpful. As we entered the room, we were immediately pleased with the fine decor and a canopy style king size bed. room was well cleaned and it has large bay windows which command a beautiful views of Coit tower and Washington square park. Hotel itself is located in the middle of everythings. Although we drudged up on a short distance to Coit Tower, we spent rest of the afternoon ambling around the neighbourhood and discovered many fine restaurants. In the evening there is wine and cheese in the lobby for guests to enjoy. Our room was well supplied with toiletries and linens. Although there was no AC, celing fan was more than ample to keep the room well cooled. In the morning hotels offers a continental breakfast with variety of food. Our check out was smooth with Hector. Hotel staff was always polite and helpful. All in all, we had a wonderful stay at Washinton Square inn and definitley will return.

Great location, very easy access to everywhere. Room is okay, but it can be noisy sometimes. Breakfast is included in the price, which is great. However the choice is very limited and basic.

Once it probably was a shick cool hotel, but that was very very long time ago. Rooms need serious renovation and styling update. Far from being a boutique hotel. The rooms are tiny and feel dusty. The stuff very friendly though.

This hotel has seen better days. I think it is time for some renovation. The rooms are tiny, and looked much better in the official photos. The shower wasn't something we really wanted to use… (We stayed in room 3) For this price, I would go to a Hilton or something like that next time.

Inn was very nice but our experience was less so. Our room was advertised as exceptional because it faced the park — but the pedestrian noise never goes away and the trash pickup at 5am was right on the other side of the window. The phone in our room was out — something the front desk admitted to knowing about — which meant that we couldn't call to complain about the lights not working in the room. Learned the next morning the hotel "borrowed" the power from one of the room's circuits for a couple of days but put us in it anyway. Front desk said the next day that they didn't have approval to take any corrective action, and did not offer to contacct info for any way to raise the concern.

Courteous staff and unbeatable location. Rooms were a bit small, though, and the hotel was extremely hot.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay and we will definitely be back! Everything was impeccable and down to the details. From the soft linen and amazing bed, to the beautiful antiques decorating the place, and of course the location and service. We even got home made chocolate chip cookies :).

Back in 2003 I was om a motorcycling holiday and stayed here. It was a breath of fresh air compared with the large multinationals. Small, freindly, quaint and central. Will never forget the early morning run down to the harbor. If I get the chance to visit San Fran again this will be the first place I book.
