Motel 6 North Hills is a joke. They take your money a my d treat you rudely. I arrived at 3 for check in didn't get checked in till 5 45 because the runs weren't ready. Next day ask for a late check-out at 1 and it was granted. And the next time when I came to stay they told me I was banned for checking out late. Wow! It's some fat ugly chick named Mary. She was the one who granted the late check-out and then swears that she didn't. No one ever called the room to see if we were checking out to tell us that we were late checking out. It didn't make any sense because they didn't say it at that time it wasn't until I came to rent a room again. So have contact the corporate and filed a report. The manager is Carol but she doesn't seem to be managing very much at all allowing married to run amok and run away good paying customers. My name is Valerie Word.

Hotel is overpriced for location. Located in a very bad neighborhood. Drug deals going on in parking lot. Car alarms going off in middle of the night. Front desk attendant was very rude. He told me he did not have a reservation in my name. When I showed him my confirmation he then stated my reservation was for the following day, which it wasn’t. I was charged $20 more then the booked rate. Hotel rooms have to be accessed from inside of hotel, the carpet throughout hotel is badly stained and smells awful. Hotel bedding and towels were very wrinkled. The comforter on bed had a burnt hole in it. Killed three cockroaches in bathroom. I will NEVER stay at a motel 6 again because of this awful experience. I feel as if I was robbed of my money. Nothing about this hotel experience was pleasant or comfortable. I’m very disappointed.

The man at the check in desk was a very nice guy and made me feel welcomed and comfortable. The room was huge and very clean when I got there and even though I wasn’t there long, the time I spent there was pleasant. It was a great price and exactly what I was looking for in a same day booking. The parking was good and I was able to park in a covered spot that was very large. No complaints at all.

I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. It did not offer the discount coupon I had received to book online. The desk person was very rude by making me feel like I was low class or even a street person by the comments he made to me. The only reason I did not walk out was because everywhere else was booked due to the holiday. Pool not in service, and very bad customer service. I will never stay here again.

When I arrived the motel looked kind of hidden. I parked and proceeded to the lobby and found the lobby was clean and pleasant. Then when I was given the keys to my room and then as I walked into the elevator the elevator floor looked dirty the elevator looked like it needed some type of maintenance as in like remodeling it looked a little beat up. As I walked into my room I can notice the Wood looking lenoliyum floors were kind of dirty and a little beat up. The wooden blinds look a little beat up on the window the window looked a little old. And the worst of all the bathtub drain was not working properly as I was showering the water was not going down the drain fast enough. After I was done with my shower the water still took about maybe 5 minutes to start going down the drain.

Room was large, clean, excellent for basic needs. Do not expect a luxury resort. Staff was enthusiasticly helpful. Refrigerator in the room. Microwave and coffee in the lobby. Weighed against price it was a great value. Our reason for travel was nearby events which included dining. Did not notice food nearby.

This location has poor service. Rude front desk person. There was no cleaning service performed when I left in the morning and returned that evening. I ran into the cleaning lady in the hallway and I told her that my room has not been serviced. Although she did offer to clean it at that time, it was very non chalant as if it happens all the time. I just asked for new towels and gave her my used ones. Also, the tub had a slow drain, so I was forced to bathe in dirty bath water! I would not recommend this location to anyone unless these items are addressed.

I love motel 6 but this one has some problems. We stayed on the 3rd floor with our dogs. The room was nice but the hallway smelled like marijuana the whole time we were there. Also, someone left their dogs in the room alone and they barked the whole day. I know that is not your fault but maybe the management could have done something. I am a dog lover so I felt sorry for the poor little pup.

I had a horrible night with two kids here. I had to leave early because other customers were fighting in there rooms and yelling. My kids got scared and the staff claimed to not know where the noise was coming from. The other customers had big dogs staying with them, several of the dogs made constant noise. It has got to be unsanitary, I hope the dogs did not lay on beds or pillows. The non smoking rooms smelled like smoke, you could smell smoke down the halls, stains on blankets, cigarette holes in sheets, the phone was dirty had not been washed. I had to move two rooms and finally asked for my money back, $103.00 was a lot to pay for dirtiness. I am still waiting on my money. Stains on the towels and pillowcases. When I complained about the noise, the staff that told me they did not know where it was coming from, came and knocked on my door to talk to me. That was inappropriate, that only said I was the one with the concerns. They had called several rooms by then. I had to go to another hotel down the street. I just found out this is an independent owned Motel 6 and there policy is not to give money back for issues. Complain to corporate, so these issues can be looked into.

Decent but sparse accommodations. It had a nice king. Size bed, TV, cable, free Wi-Fi (open/unsecured though they gave me a password), desk and desk chair, a mini fridge, but in the open area where most hotels have an easy chair this one just had barren empty carpeting. Lots of nearby restaurants and banks and groceries and pharmacies. But in a shady area.

I love the location and the rooms are nice and spacious. I love that they have a different feel from the corporate Motel 6 rooms. However my room that I was in the heat and air conditioning unit stopped working and when I called so acts for assistance I was told that no one else ever complained about it and I should just unplug it and plug it backup and it will be fine. It never worked so we will cold all night long. Often the housekeeping did not show up to the room and service the room even when we axed for service. The towels and washcloths were not clean. We were not given sufficient tooletries we had to go get them. The other guests in the hotel were excessively loud children running and screaming all throughout the night over top of our head up the hallway and outside in the parking lot even. It was extremely noisy and difficult to sleep most nights. The manager is very kind. Housekeeping is not good. They don't understand English. And they do not service the rooms well at all. There's ink on my sheets. Cigaret holes and my blankets. It's unfortunate because it's a nice place but it's just not well kept because of the staff. And the guests needs to be controlled by some sort of security. There was a lot of fighting in of the rooms and yelling it was pretty scary.

Good parking. Courteous staff. Clean spacious room with a refrigerator. One of the poorest TV channel selections ever. Didn't even have a guide channel so you have to surf through the maybe 12 channels offered. Does have good Wi-Fi.

I reserved a smoking room, not knowing that the hotel staff doesn't seem to clean this type of room. Even though the room was a smoking room, it had an unacceptable heavy smoke smell. I had to purchase disinfectant spray to cover the smoke smell permeating all soft surfaces in the room, including the bed. Cleaning products were also purchased to clean the bathtub before using it.

I have stayed here on several occasions while I work. Everyone here is been so good to me and my puppies. The rooms are clean the guest service is phonamenal. Thank you Mr. Harry, Asan, Oliver, Shant for being so professional and always make sure I was comfortable. I have stayed at the other Motel 6 and felt like I had to get clearance from a prison guard. A lot of noise and a lot of money 140 dollars.

Been coming here for years to make love, staff is just and mind their business. I can care less about drug dealers and prostitutes if I ever see any. As long as I can sleep. There is no loud partying and everything seems clean. More clean towels would be nice. Currently checked in.

Wonderful customer service, clean room. Called at late night and reserved a room by very helpful and friendly front desk guy. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and quickly showed to the room. Love the room. Thanks again.

Room was good. Customer service was SUPERIOR and fantastic. Our bedsheets were torn and had permanent stains (they were very clean, however). In common areas, carpeting is extremely dirty, and our non-smoking room and all hallways smell of smoke (I'm allergic, so I know from the way my body responds). We will not stay again because of this. Price seemed high for the general condition of this location.

Very good motel. Called late night and hooked up by the friendly front desk manager. Customer service was wonderful, room was nice and comfortable. Will go there again.

Although we arrived late and left very early in the hotel I can say it was a good experience to sleep in this place.

Enjoyed my stay there in motel 6 last Friday. Motel was very busy being the weekends nights but overall we are satisfied. Front desk guy was very friendly and funny while keeping the professionalism at the same time. Inquired about additional needs and comfortableness after we checked in. Can't complain. Thanks M6.

Love this place, nice, clean and feel safe there. Front desk person Raj was super friendly and helpful to make sure we were comfortable in every way. He even provided us complementary water bottle. Bed and pillow were comfortable. We had nice sleep and warm morning coffee in the lobby. Wonderful.

Been in few other motel 6 before, but this van nuys m6 was exceptional. I was bit concerned due to the location and bad reviews. But, my experience there were marvelous. Being late and weekend night, the motel was pretty busy compare to other night I guess. Well managed, cleanliness of the room and the customer service was wonderful. Highly recommended.

I am glade that I went to this place. After checking some other neighboring motel, I called this motel and the front desk Clark Rashad told me that he will hold the room for me. This place is way better in every way. Nightly front desk person was very welcoming. After checking in, he made sure by calling that we were comfortable in the room. Defiantly will go there again.

We have stayed here many times. The Staff are ALL very pleasant and anxious to make your visit enjoyable. The rooms are well maintained and more spacious than other Motel 6s. We keep returning here because of the warm friendly atmosphere and the rooms have a refrigerator and a microwave is available for that late night popcorn to go with the late night movie.

We had a great stay. Wonderful staff. They were very friendly and helpful. They are pet friendly and were so sweet to our grandson. We highly recommend this Motel 6.

I have been here about a week and am thinking about extending my stay for another week. The motel staff is warm and friendly. Everyone from the front desk to the maintenance man makes you feel welcome. The rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious. I would recommend the Motel 6 Van Nuys to anyone coming to the Los Angeles.

Compared to the other motels in similar areas we were pleased with our room, the cleanliness and working freezer in the frig. Which even higher end motels didn't have. The evening reception staff was great and the reason we booked there. We felt safe knowing he was on watch. The outer hallway carpet could be improved but our room made up for it.

This place was so disgusting I canceled my room after being there for only 3 hours, I ended up staying at a friends house. I definalty did not feel safe in the neighborhood. If you and your family are looking for a place to stay, look anywhere else.

Horrible customer service! The front desk staff were very unpleasant and rude. Went to check in and was told our reservation, that we made in person, was cancelled. The person at the front desk did not even know the reason behind the cancellation. The rooms were decent. Lots of space and clean bathrooms. Once you pass the worst customer service, the stay is reasonable.

We went to check in and the rooms were disgusting. They smelled of urine and the floors were super sticky. When checking the blankets and sheets we found them to be all stained. Our mattresses smelled of urine and when talking to the front desk all they said was well there were no other rooms. Horrible experience. Would not recommend to anyone. People were literally having a party in one room and laying in the hallway. Do not stay here.

This is the worst freaking hotel ever. The smell of weed and cigar is horrific. It's really a risky place to bring women and children, especially if anyone has asthma or any breathing situations. I do NOT recommend this place. The deodorant somewhat helps the stench but it's so bad in the hallways and everywhere else. The upgraded suites are okay I guess. I just don't recommend this place. Really is the worst possible hotel here in Los Angeles.

Never ask directions here, because they send you off on some joy ride in the opposite direction that you wanted. The front desk guy is crooked and ripped us off when we reserved it. This isn't even a motel six, it's some Indian that bought it and pays to keep the name to lure people in. Absolutely a poor motel. I was surprised I didn't find any cockroaches or bed bugs. What we did find was the last customers hair in the shower tub and we did smell urine in the elevator. We wondered if the room was even cleaned.

Disgusting, rooms smelt like cigarettes, there were plenty of stains and holes in the bedding, roaches both dead and alive, and hookers make this place a real pathetic place to stay, we tried to get a refund only after 5 minutes of being in the room and the Indian guy running the place acted like they did not issue refunds and the money was going to come out of his own check even though the sign clearly states that you CAN get a refund within 10 minutes of checking in. After arguing with the dude about the stench and bugs he kept insisted about getting us another room, after pressuring him enough he FINALLY refunded me and even then he was short on the amount he gave me so I had to go back a second time!

Room interior was clean. Hallways were filthy. I looked at two rooms before I checked in. Both were nonsmoking rooms. The first smelled of smoke. The second was OK. I could hear a lot of noise from others guests. The pillows were flat and unfluffy. When leaving, I rode the elevator with a guy that said the cops were at the room next to his at 3 am. The desk clerk was friendly and he warned me the Wi-Fi was spotty. He was right. The DirecTV signal was out almost all morning. I would not stay here again.

Bed buggssss! do not go here ever, && they will not help or refund. I'm on two medications due to a allergic reaction to multiple bites all over me. I checked the sheets a second time the next day and the bottom rim of bed looked like dried up blood spots … Also, there was yogurt inside fridge. Opened it and spoiled smell came out so CLEARLY they half ass cleaned the rooms. They don't even sweep the floors (non carpet floors). Sheets are disgusting and covers. Automatically started feeling weird And disgusted when I first saw the room and walked down halls… I had no choice though. Hallways smells like cigarettes. And flirth, it's Dusty! Place should be shut down! The owners and workers do not care about anything! Devastated how no one has confronted this business yet.

I had no choice but to stay here for 1 night, never again. If your room is on the north side you will not be able to see your vehicle (parking is south side only). The area is 3rd world. I don't think this was always a Motel 6. The room didn't resemble that at all, very weird room and not very clean, I also didn't have pillow slips on my 2 pillows. When I requested pillow slips the guy at front desk acted like he didn't know what a pillow slip was. I did finally get them.

Sketchy, unfriendly, filthy and unsanitary. if your gonna stay here youll need the fallowing: 1. A gun 2. Bleach 3. Own bedding 4. No care for your personal exposure to filth and danger.

Was overcharged 140 dollars for one night of a crappy room. Air conditioner didnt even work and theres only one entrance to this place! very dissapointed to have chosen this place!

This motel 6 is BY FAR the NASTIEST motel 6 I have ever stayed in. The front desk staff (also clearly the owners) are absolutely the rudest people I've encountered with respect to the General hotel/ motel chains. I have stayed there 3 times the last 2 ONLY BECAUSE EVERYONE ELSE WERE SOLD OUT. (If that ever comes up again when I go through there I would rather sleep in my car. Apon check in with reservations the staff worker (part of the family owners) he told me I am not allowed to have any guest not even if it is clearly family and checking them in as visitors (which you have to go by the front desk anyway to get to your room. I told him It was me alone will not have guest, he replies " well just so you know and don't come down later saying that no one told you. If you do bring guest you will be kicked out and refunded your money"! I at this point felt somewhat disrespected considering I already said I was here alone and won't have any guest. I told him in reply "Sir I think I made myself very clear I don't have guest" at this point a truck drove into the parking lot that will not hold the capacity of guest by a long shot. He tells me to hold on a second as he leaves the desk to see what was going on with this truck. Well standing at the door he is saying how this guy is an idiot. He can't park here. The TV in the lobby was on CNN. I STOOD at the counter (bullet proof glass) watching the news waiting for this guy to finish me up. He turns and "TELLS" me to have a seat.

My room was clean, currently in the room. Great price for two beds, but it does say non smoking and the elevator going to the second floor smells like cigar. Overall I didn't find any cockroaches, bedbugs or anything like that I searched the room completely and it was okay (: this will be great for 1 night or 2 night but longer not sure has really noisy people and really busy street!

I had a great stay. The room was very clean and has a good amount of space. The room was at a great rate and I feel I got my moneys worth.

The whole place stinks! Cigarette stench in the "non-smoking" room, lobby, hallways and elevator! Lack of parking space, do to permanent "guests"! Bad experience overall, this is the only place we could find vacancy.

This is the most stupid motel 6 ever the maid try to come into my room when I was not dress and was watching TV so disrespectful and I'm going to call health service in them and get them all fire fire not doing a good job always I'm calling my lawyer to and they are going to be in big trouble for unhealthy rooms with bugs and not cleaning well if I was running this place I will make it a whole lot better than them.

I had killed like 7 fricken cockroaches I they dont clean your room the maids give you dirty looks and the front desk kept calling at 11 to make sure if we left when the checkout was 12. He called I answered he said "hello? " And then hangs up the phone. He then calls again and does the same thing. Im never going back.

Improve the quality of receptionist, his behavior, and his attitude towards customers. Check-in time is 3:00 PM and we reached at 3:30 PM. We had booked two rooms. He allocated rooms to us after check-in formalities. However, once we reached 2nd floor with all our luggage, we found housekeeping staff working in one of the rooms. The lady said that both rooms were not ready and will take at least 30 min more. With all our luggage we went down to reception and the person there behaved very rudely. He told us bluntly to wait or else, at the most he could do was to cancel the booking and refund the money. Why were rooms not ready evn though the checkout time for previous guest was 11 AM and we reached at 3:30, 30 min after the standard check-in time? Also, my room was stinking and bathtub was dirty.

This motel should be torndown. Its filthy. Bums, hookers, drug deals. Bad neighborhood, I should have stayed in my car. I carried my computer (laptop) wallet and everything in a backpack and never left anything in the building. It was not a restful stay. I felt I had to Guard all possession's. And feared being robbed (and I don't scare easily, I just get pissed off ready to beat crap out of anyone in my way) $86 for the night? they should have been paying me to stay up all-night.

This place is nothing but a brothel. Run India Style. Girls come and go handing them roles of cash. He wanted to charge me, a working man, $475 per week to stay there. Guess he has to keep his profit margin per room. He should be arrested for tax evasion and stripped of the franchise name. Motel 6 Sepulveda, "We'll leave the red light on for ya. ".

Run! I checked out in 2 hours after driving from Arizona. Prostitutes going into the room 2 doors down, drug deals on the front of the front lobby. Dried blood in the bathroom, pizza crusts under the bed. Stale, dirty rugs. I was on vacation with my sons. Need I say more. Oh yeah. Got attitude when I explained I couldn't stay there. They charged me one full night, because I had been there more than 10 minutes. Rude and very poor customer service. They really should be ashamed of themselves, especially for charging anything over $40. My bill was $90.

I stayed here before in 2011. It was fairly alright. I stayed here with a friend. The area though. Ughh. The Wi-Fi signal is not very good. It kept disconnecting and needing to reconnect with connection errors. So I made due my own 3g service and stayed off the internet. The Canoga Park one is way better.

Stayed here over the weekend. Everyone was very friendly. Also a nice price and decent free Wi-Fi. As for the reviewer saying there were women and drugs here. It's the valley. If you don't like women and drugs then don't hang out at the valley. Or just avoid the women and drugs. I'm pretty sure no one is going to force his or her lifestyle on you. Where is the problem? My experience was that I had a nice, quite weekend and I got a lot of extra work done. Everyone was friendly and it was overall a nice place.
